My husband and I have been AT&T customers for over 20 years... we both use to work for them when it was Cingular Wireless. We signed up for AT&T internet service several months ago, with the promise of getting $350 in rebates. There was NO mention of checking in on a specific website to claim these rebates. There was NO mention of an expiration date on these rebates. I received ONE email for a $50 rebate. I clicked on the link in the email to see that rebate but did NOT use it. I never received an email for the $300 rebate. My husband went into this store after multiple calls and texts to store employees and management to figure this out. My husband was treated rudely from the Manager Adam. Adam was short and rude, telling my husband that I knew about the website (I did not, I clicked on a link in a email), they do NOT care about customer service... they just want your sales and activations. Extremely unsatisfied with the lack of customer service at this location. Do yourself a favor... find another location to do your business at. read more

I just learned this fact from ATT Customer service that if you buy a phone from the RETAIL STORE and your representative OPENS THE PACKAGING and sets up your phone, you will be subject to the $45 restocking fee should you return or exchange it. (You can only return an UNOPENED box for full refund). If you buy your device online, then you are NOT subject to the restocking fee if you return or exchange the opened device. My one star review is not against the store or employees as I have had good experiences in the past, but because of the return policy regarding store vs online purchase. I was not told about this restocking fee when I purchased my mother in law ay flip phone for $59. I was only told "if you have any problems, you have 14 days to return it". There was no mention of the restocking fee at the time of purchase. I had become complacent because of my past good experiences and was reminded by this experience take the time to to ask about the return policy in the future read more

I had a very bad experience with this store. I was charged for a service that I never used and was convinced the charges would be credited to my account. However when I did not get the credit, i was told the return window of 14days has passed and its store policy of no refunds after 14days. I never got the service so there was no question of return. Ok, so my fiance and I walked in looking to upgrade our Iphone 3gs to the Galaxy note. I was understood that my current contract was only 9 months old. It is a two yr deal. Prior to this, I read my contract very carefully. NO WHERE did it talk about not being able to upgrade during a current contract and having to pay full price for the phone. So knowing this, I told "RANDY" and he began to argue with me about how he's been in the industry for so long and that's just the way it is. I told him we both have done it with T-mobile and Sprint. He say's no you didn't I've worked for both of them. At this point Started to become angry, I couldn't believe what I was hearing. I didn't even take the time to call corp, or speak to his manager to see what they could do for us. Instead he just started to walk away from us knowing that we were not going to pay the original price. I said to him, "so what your just going to walk away from us now?" I said you know what, don't worry about I'll take care of it . And walked out. Talk about pathetic customer service. My next step was to call ATT&T direct and explain my situation. Oh, by the way, I have four active lines. So anyway I told them this and they were said, Well we can order the Galaxy notes through us for the upgrade cost of 299. I was blown away how easy that was. I told her instead of ordering them can you note my account so I go to another local store and pick them up? No problem. Needless to say we walked in to the Manteca store told them our situation and with in 30 min we had our new Galaxy notes. I can't speak for the rest of the Staff at the Tracy store but "RANDY' was an asshole. And shouldn't be in the sales business with that kind of attitude. I walked into the store tonight and planned to do a trade in/upgrade on our account. We dealt with a new guys Jacob which overall did the best he could. We wanted to upgrade to an iPhone 12 Pro and Jacob ended up brining out the wrong phone but prior to this we weren't allowed to see the phone as it wasn't "paid". Jacob went in the back and Fernando, however didn't show his face and did everything behind the scenes which we didn't even see if the phone was unopened or it happened to be an used phone laying around. Finally, after waiting for an hour for the phones to transfer and Jacob kept apologizing for how long it was taking because the system kept crashing. Finally, the phone was out and handed to us unopened but with an used SIM card in the phone and Fernando tried to tell us that the SIM card that was in the phone was new but also handed us a new SIM card that was placed in the phone box. I didn't feel comfortable with the "new phone", as it was already opened when the employees brought it out to us and after seeing another email with the "new SIM card", I had told Fernando since he has us wait an hour if he was willing to get us a new phone and his response was No because it was late and he had to send his guys home (which has nothing to do with us) and I responded to him and told him that we had to wait for them for an HOUR for their mess up and he kept saying that he couldn't do it and I asked why several times and Fernando's unprofessional response was "no just because", and I responded that wasn't a valid reason after having me wait for an hour and Fernando said just because it was too late". Fernando's unprofessional response to a customer was not appropriate and even after having us wait but it wasn't late then when he had us waiting. What's insane is that Fernando said he's been a manager and doing this for five years. I would go to another location other than the Tracy location. read more

Update! It only gets worse lol, I wish this was all a joke! As stated before I got the promo for up to $700 as long as I trade in my old iPhone (iPhone XS max), which I did the same day. The second tech who helped me explained the first month we won't see the credit, but on the second bill cycle the credits for ur trade in will show up (each month you're supposed to receive a $23 credit toward ur bill).... Three months in and I still haven't received my credits, instead I just received notification of a "one time charge" this month of $23. I called AT&T customer service and they said the charge is because they have no records in their system of my old iPhone being traded in. Lol so instead of receiving credits, I'm being charged. According to the AT&T representative I just got off the phone with, I have to wait until they find my old phone which I was informed could take up to 2-3 billing cycles. Let me remind you they're already three months behind and it may take an additional two to three months for them to find my phone and grant me my credits. I'm about ready to switch to Verizon and I've been a AT&T customer since I've had my first cell phone on my parents account... there customer service has definitely fallen off!! I found my receipt for my trade in but the phone representative said I'd need to go over it with the store I traded the phone in at, since they can't receive emails directly, so I called them and spoke to a manager who said they'd call me back and I STILL haven't heard anything back. Please check your bills and make sure you have a representative that KNOWS HOW TO DO THEIR JOB! read more

This has to be the worst experience I've had in my life. My first two appointments the person who was supposed to meet with was 15 minutes late. I waited the first time and met with him and designed the plan but I had another appointment that I didn't want to be late for so I left and set another appointment with the same person for the next day. The second time he was also late and after 15 minutes I just walked out, Today I called and they had 3 iPhone 6 with the 128 gig memory. They agreed to hold them for me and I also made an appointment online at the same time. When I drove across town 38 minutes later the lady who my appointment was with was there and she went into the back to get my phones. Afte 9 minutes she came out and said there were tdnot any iPhone 6 of any kind. Apparently they were wrong or had sold my 3 phones in the time it took me to drive across town. She said if I wanted to wait 20 minutes they may have some phones that just came in, fool me once shame on you but fool me 3 times I must be a frickin idiot to still be with AT&T for the past 16 years. As I was sitting in my car writing this scathing review the lady who was helping me came out and said they had 3 phones just like I wanted. My 3 month old phone is having issues taking a charge. So I took my phone in. The guy was very unhelpful. Handed me a piece of paper so I can take my phone to Stockton then suggested I use a friend's charger. Didn't have any parts for my 3 month old phone. Really had no input to help. This place seems to be SUPER Busy everyday. However, when your turn does come up the sales and service staff are very polite and down to earth. Process can be lengthy as you are dealing with contracts and small details but every question is answered and they show you what you are getting into before you sign up. Plus no Paperwork! All is done on Ipads and you get to sign with your Finger. My recommendation is to go to their website and set up an appointment to avoid the possible wait. Clean, Organized and great selection too. If I could leave negative 10 stars I would. I just went in to add my daughter's line on to my plan and one of the associates, Kaleb changed my plan without my consent. I never asked to change my plan but the idiot took it upon himself to be sneaky and deceitful and changed my plan. They asked us to switch places due to covid once I provided my information and then for my daughter to go in and provide her plan info from the other carrier. Once she was done, I asked her if he wanted me to go back in and she said no he's done. I found it weird so I went back in and asked another associate because he had a real shitty attitude from the beginning. The associate assured me everything was going to remain the same and other than adding my daughter onto my plan no changes were made. The next morning I get a few emails from AT&T with the changes to my plan and I start noticing that I was switched from a grandfathered plan that I had from when I started with ATT & is no longer available. I was absolutely fine with the plan and I had no desire to change it, hot spot was one of the features I used significantly so it worked for me since I work remotely a lot. This change also added another $90 to my plan and removed the hot spot feature. Why the hell would you change my plan and not consult with me, that's a significantly huge change and you don't know what I use or need on a daily basis!I have already contacted ATT customer service & corporate on how this sneaky pos went and made these unauthorized changes without any verbal or signed consent from me. He clearly took advantage I couldn't be in the office at the same time as my daughter due to the pandemic bs. Im so over ATT and will definitely be switching out asap. read more

I wish there were an option for negative stars. Because that's what I'd give this store. They SCAMMED my Mom RIGHT out of $270+ on a phone that she didn't want. She went in for a $49 iPhone 3GS or a $99 *refurbished* iPhone 4. When my Mom said she wanted a refurbished iPhone 4, the sales rep told her, "I'm not going to lie to you, this IS a refurbished phone." Then proceeded to charge her for a full priced new iPhone 4. Because of the fact that she was exchanging a phone she bought two days prior, she didn't see the price difference until later in the day when it was $200 MORE than she had originally meant to pay. When I called the store to have the situation explained to me, they told me that they do not sell refurbished phones. Break it down for you? Mom says she wants this phone. They tell her that is the phone. Charge her for a diff phone. Then tell me there's nothing they can do about it. I don't hate AT&T. But this store? Completely incompetent. read more

Two of my 3 sons were eligible for upgrades. We went in the store with a noon appt on Saturday, December 17, 2017 to ask about the cost difference/savings by keeping everyone on my account (4 lines) as opposed to having my older sons take over their lines on their own account w/a military discount. A couple of years ago, we had been told that if my oldest son opened his own account with his military discount, he would also be eligible for a free phone with the new account - which was a common promotion at the time, even without being a military family. The sales person assigned to us arrogantly stated that there is no such promotion and he was aware of all the available deals currently available. He was ready to just upgrade the two phones with the Next payments without checking to see if there were any other promotions we might be eligible for as long term customers of over 10 years. I stopped the process and me and my sons walked out without the new phones. I refused to give business to someone who did not know how to assure his customer that he had taken every step to ensure we were getting the best deal that could be had - especially a week before Christmas! Instead, I promised my sons that I would just shop online to get their phones. I was in the process of ordering the phones thru at&t online - which would have ended up with the same payment as the salesperson, because one my son's phone was badly in need of replacing right away. However, we went out before completing the online transaction and ended up at best buy. VERY glad we did - as we were able to get the same 2 Samsung phones along with two gift cards and a samsung VR! To boot - since we added a line, one phone came with a free phone! We also saw that knucklehead at&t salesperson shopping in Best Buy.
