AT&T Store - Has not helped one customer - Mobile Phones Near Me - Venice, California

I had an appt for this morning at 11am. I get there and the rude man at the door told me "you're appt has been cancelled"! No explanation, just cancelled!!! I did not cancel this appt. I have 3 text messages and 1 email confirming it. When I asked him why he did not contact me to let me know this, he told me "it's not my job"! They would not help with without an appt and there was NO ONE else in the store!!! NICE CUSTOMER SERVICE ... NOT!!! With all the ONE STAR COMMENTS on this sight, I'm surprised this location is still in business. read more

These guys are scam artist! Don't believe anything Mohammed, or Yonnie tell you! I was told I would get a refund for charges for 5 months. I had gone to the store 4 different times and was told something different every time, with the last thing being said " no worries you will have your refund in 24 hrs." Well guess what nothing has ever been done! F--k these guys! Do yourself a favor go to a different store, if you do go here good luck don't believe anything they tell you it's all lies!!! If you must go here, carve out at least an hour regardless of your need. I've always had to wait a loooong time at this particular store. The hell has been subpar at best. I went in once, fully intending to purchase my new iPhone that day but ended up walking out empty-handed because the sales associate was rude and condescending. Last time I was there just to buy one microcell and it took an hour. The sales associate couldn't figure out how to register it to my address, first because she'd typed it in wrong and then because she was trying to add a unit number. She asked me repeatedly if I was sure I had my address correct. Um yes, I think I know my address. I've never had a decent experience at this store. Shame on me for going there more than once. I'll drive out of my way from now on to go to a store with better service. read more

I won't go to this AT&T store again - I'm willing to drive 5-10 miles out of my way to avoid the mess that is this store. I've been several times and have experienced THE WORST customer service at every single visit. The staff is disgruntled and unfriendly and they don't really care about helping you at all. I had to stop in again today as I was in a hurry and it's the closest one to my house. Yet again the staff was incredibly rude and lacked the appropriate knowledge to assist me. After getting kicked out of the store brcause I asked them if they looked in their trash buckets for my missing phone instructions I received a message telling me they instruct their employees to provide excellent service. Apparently the goon who confronted me and prevented me from asking about my lost booklet did not receive that training. This all started when I went here to activate my new cell phone. The salesperson asked me about my other services including internet and TV, and said AT@T could give me a lower price. So I signed on. After returning home I realized I had left my cell phone instructions so I returned to retrieve them. Whem they said they had not found them I suggested they look in their waste containers to see if they had been discarded. They replyed that they had not found them and refused to answer my question about the waste containers. I never raised my voice but yet they called a security goon who prevented me from speaking to anyone. He physically blocked me and kept saying "sit down". Later I discovered the supposedly cheaper TV, phone, and internet service I was sold would only be cheaper for a few months, after which it would become more expensive than my former package. I had to spend hours on the phone and do without TV for several days until my former service was reinstalled. Another oddity is that this store will not show up on yelp unless you provide their complete address: 2540 Lincoln Blvd. Venice, CA 90291. Well, if I was like them I'd be hiding to. read more

My first visit here, very friendly staff, greeted me immediately when I came in the door! Doing a return from a mail order so it took over an hour. YUCK! Got a new I-phone and told them I wanted to activate later. Sounds fine huh? Left the store and while driving home my service cut off! UGH , are you kidding me? Had to turn around, fight traffic and find parking again. The manager Mike took care of it though and told me he would give me a nice credit. I came in the store and although I had to wait a few minutes I was helped by the store manager Trisha. She was incredibly helpful, patient & nice. I felt like the store had a positive atmosphere and everyone seemed to try to help me as much as they could, not just try to sell me products. They communicate very well at this location and I am going to go here for all of my AT&T needs because they treat their customers great. read more

**This review is for the Store Manager and the way he apparently handles business at this location. Review not necessarily reflective of the performance of associates who work here.** If I could give a zero or a negative number, I would. This review reflects my HORRIBLE experience tonight. Did I happen to come on an off-night? Who knows, but their UNACCEPTABLE CUSTOMER SERVICE will have me giving business to other store locations (*hopefully lowering this location's corporate ranking below others in the area*). I believe the Store Manager here tonight (6'0", 200lb, Caucasian male with bald/shaved head wearing blazer) is EXTREMELY LAZY, irresponsible, has no concept of customer service or accountability, and perhaps enjoy power tripping. There is NO EXCUSE FOR THIS LOCATION NOT HELPING ITS CUSTOMER TONIGHT BEFORE CLOSING TIME, much less ***THREATENING*** its customers. A store associate was available, the computer system was clearly up, and there was no power outage. SUMMARY OF INCIDENT: * Doors were closed and locked at least 30 minutes before closing time as stated on door, AT&T website, and recorded phone information. * 5-7 customers waiting outside, 1 being helped inside. Customers outside were yuppies, working professionals in business casual clothing, a family, and a few other individuals in their early 40s. (No shady people or extremists to be scared of...) * For unknown reasons, Store Manager refused us service by keeping us locked out. Only once did he address us inaudibly through the closed doors and glass. Then he blatantly about-faced with body language that stated he was done addressing us even though we didn't hear a word, and ignored us while he stood in plain sight doing nothing. No explanation, not even intelligent enough to fabricate a semi-believable excuse for us. * When customer knocked hard on door to complain and get Store Manager's attention, he opened the door a crack, threatened to call the COPS on all of us for being "irrational" when we all complained there was no reason they couldn't give customer service before official store closing time. * Associate clearly tried to take a picture of us customer using is cell phone (to report us?!) * After customer inside left, Store Manager and Associate stood around 10-15 minutes behind the counters or in the back of the storefront, unoccupied and showed no apparent signs of busyness. I can't tell you where to go if this location is convenient for you, but there is no reason to support a Store Manager who thinks he can treat his customers like this. All the customer outside immediately called AT&T Customer Service (dialing 611 with AT&T cellphone) and filed an "Agent Complaint" against the store. Dealing with AT&T customer service and AT&T is usally a pain because individuals aren't empowered or knowledgeable enough to complete your entire request - wasting time both in-store and on-phone, giving you the run-around. But tonight this man acted absolutely atrociously; his rudeness and unprofessionalism was the worst of what I've seen from AT&T. It's too bad none of the employees were wearing name badges... or was that on purpose? UPDATE -- My complaint with Better Business Bureau went through, and I got a call back from a "Specialist" from AT&T's Office of the President. Am I really saying this? Hopefully we can go back to the days of complaining about long lines and slow employees... UPDATE 6/10/10 - I was messaged by a Yelper w/ 0 reviews who claims to be a former employee, and was told that the guy in blazer was actually a security guard that was asked to close early due to recent robberies at gun point. (There were also details in the message about how I'm whiney and "I think I'm a mental VIP". Thanks :P) If this is the case, I absolutely understand AT&T wanting to take measurements to protect its employees, however a quick address from the security guard about "Sorry we have to be closed early today" or a sign on the door that "The store has to close early due to unforseen circumstances" would have saved us from all this ridiculousness and time spent camping outside. Nothing new here...I will be cancelling my service with ATT in November when my contract is up. I walked in Sunday at 545pm to pick up an anti-glare screen for my phone. I looked on all of the shelves and couldn't find one, so approached the counter to ask for assistance. The guys says, "yes we have them". I say can you point me in the right direction? He says, "they are in the back". I say is it possible to get one? He says, "I can go get you one". After waiting for 15 minutes, the guy has not returned. Luckily, I found one on one of the shelves that had been previously opened, but decided to buy it rather than wait any longer. I approach the counter and ask if I can purchase, Chalcea says yes. After 10 minutes of waiting for her (doing what I am not quite sure), she finally rings me up. I took me 30 minutes to walk into this store to pick up a simple accessory. I mentioned to her that they would be loosing my business as of November based on their performance and her response was "really", as she handed me a bunch of pennies and walked away. It would be wise for this manager and store owner to rethink who is hired. None of the folks in there Sunday were doing anything but acting annoyed when customers asked for assistance. I own a business, and I can promise that I would be out of business if I ran it like this. As for Chalcea, I fear that she is going to be sorely disappointed in her professional life if she doesn't get an attitude adjustment. read more

I iphone 5 was getting messed up so I went and ordered iphone 6plus. Was told I would have my iPhone 6plus in three weeks but it's forth week and I still don't have em. Went to store and asked them why and they told me its three weeks or more and it's gonna be between oct 15 to nov 10. That's not what they said when I ordered em. Should have just gone to Apple Store. It's so frustrating to have ur phone die constantly since I use my phone for work. read more

i use to dread visiting an AT&T store because of long waits to talk to a rep, however things have changed and this store is proven example! i walked in at 8:10Pm on a thursday evening and they had plenty of reps available. Chelsea and the manager both helped me out. I would recommend going here for your phone purchases and getting assisted with either one of them. they are great! read more

This place is not safe - I felt like my life was in danger - I needed to help my 88 year old mother transfer the data to her new phone. We were both wearing our masks. As soon as we walked in the door the manager yelled that we could not stand next to each other, and only one of us could speak with the technician. (The tech was helpful but they are no longer able to do more than log you into the phone.). While she was helping me I needed to wipe my nose. She got me a Kleenex and I lowered my mask to wipe my nose. As soon as I did, the manager yelled at me that if I didn't put my mask back on, I would have to leave. I finished wiping my nose, raised the mask back over my nose and threw the Kleenex away. The manger said that if I did not follow the rules, I would have to leave. I'm pretty sure that if he had a gun, he would have pulled it out - I'm so glad he was not a cop, or I could have been shot. AT&T is too big. I called to complain and was told I needed to log a complaint at the store - I Will Never Go Back!!! If I didn't have 3 AT&T phone lines I would NEVER use them again. read more

From the Sales Rep, Mayra, to the manager Anthony, THESE GUYS SUCK!!! I went in to take advantage of a buy one, get one (BOGO) in February. EVERY single month since, I have had to call in to AT&T because I was being charged for the 2nd phone. Every single month, they issued a credit and said it would be fixed. This time, I was told that the Salesperson rung it up incorrectly and I had to go into the store and have the manager correct it. I went on my lunch hour and spent over an hour with the Assistant Manager, then the Manager, only to be told that it was beyond 6 months and there was nothing they could do. WTF AT&T?!?! I had been a loyal ATT & Direct TV customer. No longer. This was the worst experience and these people are not only a shame to the customer service industry, but I was totally scammed. Reading the reviews, I can see that I'm not alone. AT&T does not care about their customers and their staff even less so. read more

I am an AT&T stockholder, in addition to LONG time mobile customer. Last year I signed up for the "NEXT" program, and purchased my 5th or 6th iPhone. Yesterday I went in to upgrade to iPhone 6, and was "helped" by Victor. I walked out 45 minutes later, because he could not figure out how to apply the NEXT program, to my current phone..(which had been a replacement due to manufacturer problem). He advised me, "you'll have to sign up for two years, and pay the full price". I called Customer Service and was advised to go to another retail outlet!!! I came to this AT&T a month ago and was 2 months out from an upgrade. They told me to come in one month as they could over ride the system. Went to Apple today in Santa Monica and they told me to call AT&T to override as I am 2 weeks out. Called AT&T and they told me I needed to go to a store. I was given the VIP treatment on my recent visit to replace my husband's lost Blackberry. Jose (customer service/sales) and Lisa (assistant manager) went out of their way to get me the best deal. Jose also reviewed account features with me, resulting in changes that will save at least $40. per month. The store was well staffed, with no wait (I went in around 4:30p on a weekday). The store also has wonderful accessories. Great music was playing over an amazing sounding little bluetooth speaker called a "Jawbox" (I had to have one). I highly recommend this store. read more

When I entered the store I signed up 3rd on the wait list. I was just there to pickup a pre-order that I had already paid for. There were at least 5 employees in the store at the time so I thought I would be helped fairly quickly... wrong. An hour later I still waited. One of the two employees who were actually helping customers helped a girl further down the list who was apparently his friend. When I was finally helped I was told my phone had not arrived even though their website and FedEx say it was delivered to the store earlier in the day... My guess is that someone else was probably given my phone and now I'm forced to return another day to begin the whole waiting process again... read more

Went over here to switch provider for my husband and I. When I walked in, I was put into their waiting queue and you can just have a seat in the meantime, which is nice because then you do not have any line-cutters. Once it was our turn, we were helped very efficiently. Our sim-cards got switch, no one tried to sell us some kind of plan or a phone (other than the Verizon store around the corner where we first went...). Everything was set-up, activated and ready to go for the both of us in about half an hour. Happy campers over here! read more

Literally will not help you at all. They need to train their staff better on customer service, policies, etc. If you have anything wrong with your phone, then don't waste your time. They only know how to sale you something. Nothing with tech support. Rude staff for the most part too. Also, hidden fees on my first bill that somehow they forgot to mention. read more

Recently used way too much data use and called 2x to adjust my bill so it wouldn't be so high once the billing cycle ended. I have done this in the past, where I changed my plan and each time the customer service dept was very, very helpful! And saved me money each time!
