Truly and legitimately the worst customer service, ever. I called in advance to ask if a specific product was in stock. I was told it was. Once I was able to meet with the sales associate and had questions regarding phone plans, the guy gave one or two word responses. Couldn't/ didn't have an interest in actually helping. Immediately tried to suggest a family plan and overall was not helpful. Once I was clear that his suggestions were not what I was looking for, he checked out and was unwilling to help. Went into this location on 12/15 to set up a new plan to transfer my phone number into. The store was empty except for us and 3 employees. No one approached us so we walked up to the female who was sitting at a computer, Safura I believe her name was. I can not begin to describe how rude and condescending this employee was including eye rolling when I asked a question. It was so bad that my friend had to walk away so that he would not go off on her. To top it off, she did not help me with my situation and I left the store with no service. I had to call AT&T 611 and spent 64 minutes on the phone getting everything corrected. This is the worstAT&T store ever. I will NEVER go there again. There is LwYs a wait and when you do finally get a sales representative to help you, they will not really even help you at all. I went to get a new iPhone and after I purchased it, the sales rep said, "Sorry, but we can't set it up for you or transfer any of your data. It's a privacy violation." That is a big lie. My sister got her phone entirely set up and even her Bluetooth by the store rep I her neighborhood. The rep even came out to her car. Not in this store. You are lucky if someone even helps you at all. I called AT&T corporate and they told me that the reps in the stores just want to sell phones. That's totally true. I've been an ATT customer a long time. We decided to upgrade my daughter's phone for her birthday/graduation. I wanted to get the same deal I would as a new customer and get the iPhone 11 for half price. I went to another store, (Sepulveda near LAX) and was flat out told that they couldn't do that. But at this store, the folks were VERY helpful. Even though they explained that they couldn't do this because corporate had taken over their ability to adjust my availability status in store. She had me talk to the manager, Sam. He said the same thing and I was disappointed to the point of considering switching carriers. He suggested that I might get the retention department to okay it. They dialed in for me while I was there. I did get the phone for half off, but had to have it delivered. (Crazy policy there, ATT corporate. You should help your retail stores out.) So even though the store didn't officially make the sale on the phone, they helped me make the purchase and keep me as an ATT customer for another 30 months. Plus, I should mention that the staff was very nice through this process. The security guard, sales staff, and manager all wished my kid a happy birthday. read more

That's the idea , if they give you a poor service over the phone or in person , they can do better. We are paying customers and deserve a good customer service. AT&T should shut this location down and save on labor. Why pay rent and employees when the rep at 611 helped me, solved my issue, and the guys in the store were clueless? I have a Galaxy S9 which was showing an error message that moisture was affecting the USB port, rendering the port useless. After five days or so, I decided to take the phone into the AT&T, assuming that an in-person visit would be much more efficient and productive than speaking with someone over the phone. I enter and Remy (I think that's his name), an Indian/Hindu fellow approaches and asks whether he can help, which was cool. I explain my issue, state that it's been ongoing for five days, explain that I've troubleshot the issue (restart, hard reset, etc.), and that the error message still will not clear, nor will the phone charge via the USB port. He takes my information, enters it into the tablet, confirms that the phone is still under warranty, and advises me to take the phone to a Samsung store. I repeat... THE AT&T REP ADVISES ME TO TAKE MY AT&T PURCHASED DEVICE TO THE SAMSUNG STORE! I'm like, "I've been with AT&T since 2006. Every mobile device I've every purchased has been through AT&T and whenever I've had an issue in the past, I was never told to contact the manufacturer. He said that AT&T doesn't have anything to do with the warranty. I say that I have insurance on the phone and he rightfully says that the insurance will affect my deductible and that it would be better to take the phone to Samsung because it's still under warranty. He prints out my account information to take with me to Samsung (IMEI number, etc.) I thank him and walk out of the store, though something just isn't right. I dial 611 from my device right outside of the storefront door. The rep who answers (Rheny V.) is instantly amazing. She asks whether we're speaking on the device in question and I say that we are. She asks whether there's another phone number that she could contact me on so that we can troubleshoot the issue. I re-enter the store and ask for the store's phone number (it's the SAME company, after all). Victor, appearing confused about what's going on, reluctantly helps me. All the while, the "manager" Anthony is typing away with his earbuds, aimlessly (are these people being paid with real money?) Long story shorter, the AT&T rep Rheny at 611 was AMAZING. She researched, troubleshot the issue, briefly got it to work before the glitch appeared again. After determining that it was indeed a known issue, she offered to replace the phone under AT&T's Warranty Plan. SHE DID NOT SEND ME TO THE SAMSUNG STORE. I asked, "Am I being charged for this replacement?" just to clarify. Her response was, "No." I also asked, "Is the store I'm standing in the same company, or is this an authorized retailer?" She said, "We're the same company." Last question, "Should the store reps have known the same information and steps you've provided me with?" Her response, "Yes." "Thank you." and I ended the call. This was about an hour. She was amazing. I asked Victor for the Regional Manager contact information, which unsurprisingly, he did not have. I also requested to speak with the manager, Anthony, who seemed to disappear, despite seeing a client who clearly needed assistance. Unsurprisingly, Victor said he must've gone to lunch (the story they tell you when the manager is in back watching on the camera). It's such an amateur hour operation that AT&T should redistribute the money utilized to fund this location to their call centers. Reps like Rheny who helped me should be given pay raises. They wouldn't be wasting money on a brick and mortar location and salaries for individuals who truly could care less. Not only is the Wilshire store uptight, rude, slow to service, understaffed and not efficient, yet conversely this Lincoln store knows all the products and services way better. Note to Area Manager. Just don't. They spent three hours of my time selling me a service that doesn't exist and took the while time after to figure out why. Even the mgr and two other employees had no idea why the service they sold me wouldn't work only to find out later that they can't offer it the way they bundled it. Offered nothing to make up for their mistake other than to come back in a month for a small credit. I was month to month with Verizon before I ported my number over only because of how they offered the bundle. They have horrible reviews for a reason. UPDATE: second count of fraud. Canceling the internet service on the phone with att internet and Direct tv they sold me to find out it's ONLY direct tv. The guy even spent time explaining the speeds of the internet I would get compared to Time Warner. read more

I went in to see about a cracked screen(I had bought my phone at this store). A floor rep saw me(was with another customer) but did not acknowledge me. After waiting, I went up to another floor rep(was with a customer) and he said he would put my name on the list. After waiting for 25 min. a rep helped me. Said the warranty did not cover cracked phones unless I had insurance(I did not). At that point, she then looked over my ATT plan and tried to sell me some service. This is the absolute worst AT&T store I've ever been to. So much so, that upon leaving it I'm changing service providers. With 2 people ahead of me, and a bunch others waiting, all looking exasperated, I was finally seen after 45 minutes of just waiting to pay my bill. When I was finally up, the woman informs me that she can save me a ton of money. So I buy into listening to the pitch....a whole $2 is what she can save me. At this point she's been super sweet. But after 15 minutes with her and hearing a whole 2 bucks is what she can save me (after pushing the point that I'm paying wayyyyyy too much for one line) I let her know I'm not interested in switching my plan and just want to pay my bill. She goes from sweet to rude in under a second. Takes my money, then nearly throws my change at me without saying a word. Real professional. But she was right, I am paying way too much and her attitude helped me make the decision to switch to another company that won't charge me an absurd amount. The young lady at the front was busy on the phone but very helpful and courteous when given a pause from answering - the staff here is pretty good at asking whether or not you've been helped. They don't offer phone repair - like most retail locations in the US for cell phone service, they are a minimally repair, definitely buy-a-new-one culture. However, they were able to give me a phone number of a location that does data recovery and more off of phones. Parking out front is limited depending on the day, and the street is busy. The address of Marina Del Rey is deceiving; even the Garmin GPS assumed Santa Monica and was driving me all the way past. Fortunately I had eyes up and saw this before I drove too far. Store itself is sparse, they don't have all the possible phones on display, but it seems clean and relatively new. read more

My husband and I went to this AT&T location on Sunday to upgrade our phones which were several years old. We were hesitant to switch providers but my niece convinced me to give Att a try because they were offering good deals. The customer service was excellent from the moment we walked in. The floor rep, Mike, was very knowledgeable and helpful. He answered all our questions and recommended phones based on our need. The manager, Nate, also came over to check on us as well as his staff to make sure everything was going smoothly. All in all, we had a great experience at this location. read more

Worst place ever in my life. Total Scam. Ripped off by the staff lying about the contract. 1. Told me I could get $500 discount promotion for trade in. 2. Never told me I should be enrolled in the unlimited plan. 3. Signed the contract. (Of course, no mention about the promotion condition) 4. On first bill, noticed there was extra $20 billed for my account and visited the store. Was told to wait for 3 months so the discount is applied on the system. 5. After 3 months, told me I should've changed to unlimited within 1 month to get the discount. 6. No help. DONE. Because of the store closures and thinking it would be difficult to go into the store for help, I first called AT&T to see if they could send me a IPhone for trade in. After over an hour with a phone rep, I was totally frustrated and got no help. Then I called and spoke to Anthony. He was great on the phone. I went there yesterday and Victor and Anthony helped me. They were amazing. The phone rep offered me no help and a much higher price for the trade in along with having to change my plan. They got me the phone I wanted, helped me sync it and I did not have to change my plan, for the same $ amount I have been paying. Again, I highly recommend this store and they were great! read more

5 stars for service (Courtney), and I'm only docking a star for store ambience and sensory overload. I admit, we were skeptical when we came into this store (I'm not sure why; it was probably only because we wanted to be loyal to our last AT&T store), but we ended up having a really positive experience with Courtney. Despite coming in toward the end of the day (30 minutes from their closing time), Courtney helped us figure out our epic phone and plan drama (it was quite a jumble that we had to extricate, requiring multiple phone calls and managers and authorizations). Courtney stuck with us through it all, with extreme patience, staying 90 or so minutes past closing time to help. Really, her patience and kind, humorous attitude made the whole experience bearable. We even came to see her the following week for Part 2 of our phone drama, and she saw it out til the very end. Apologies for not being able to be more specific, but suffice to say, I was really happy with the service Courtney provided. Thanks! Regarding the star I docked for ambience...this is mainly because there was some overwhelming sound and cross-pollination between various devices being demo-ed or turned on. Obviously, this is unavoidable for most stores that sell electronics, but given the small size of the room, it would have been nice to be more mindful of volume and proximity to other customers. At one point, there was a TV blaring right behind where I was sitting, and I was unable to concentrate on the conversation with Courtney. For what it's worth, I'm autistic and quite sensitive to sound overstimulation, so this may not be a big issue for other people. read more

This company has become a disappointment, I was with AT&T for 20 years & was forced to seek an alternative option & am now super happy with TMobile. This company left me high & dry while I traveled internationally, every time I sought customer service I was looped around to several customer service agents who asked me the repetitive question of ' what's the issue'? I would end up frustrated & on the phone for over an hour with no solution & another loop around. AT&T has much to learn in terms of how to retain long term loyal clients. I'm so happy with TMobile. I went in to see if I should upgrade one of my 3 ATT phones. I have a family unlimited plan and spend a ridiculous amount of money each month. My current phone was dimming , despite my having done all the recommended fixes I found online. I was greeted by a sales person who dismissively went to the screen bright. When I said that I tried that many times and the problem continues, he didn't know where to turn off the auto dimming (I had already done that too). He said that he needed to ask his manager. His manager was busy teaching other sales people how to upsell accessories to customers. As we waited, I asked the sales person to check what it would be if I upgraded my phone. He couldn't count 18 months and could not get to the fact that I would be eligible in 5 days. Or he was trying to get $600 from me despite the fact, that in 5 days, the upgrade would be free. He was rude, didn't know the system and when I finally said that the whole experience was too frustrating to me and that I was leaving to go to another store or carrier , he was rude and screamed at me to just go!! I have never written a review like this. This store has the worst customer service of any retail store I have ever been to. BEWARE - save yourself and go to the one up the street on Lincoln. The people will reel you in for a sake then not know how to walk you through the set. Data won't transfer over and they'll blame it on software updates but they won't disclose these things when trying to sell you the most expensive phone in the store. After multiple visits in one day they could not solve the problem. I demanded they return everything but after it was all said and done they duped me. They charged a restock fee and had tricked me into paying off the old phone. Then when I wanted to return the new phone and just get a replacement the lady pretended like she didn't know what I'm talking about. They would not return it back to installments which I originally had. It's all a big game. The manager Anthony is equally as clueless as the other employees and of no help. Finally broke down and purchased a new phone. One of the reason I've been putting it off for so long is the last time I was in a ATT store (Virginia) it was a bad experience. The moment I walked in I was greeted by a very nice young man named Ronnie. Ronnie was so pleasant, patient and helpful. Basically just a room full of listless customers who have been waiting too long for acknowledgement from the staff. There's no front desk. There's no welcome kiosk. There's no place for a line to form. There's no greeter. I wandered the floor for 30 minutes without being acknowledged by anyone, despite there only being about 3-4 customers in the store. I almost canceled my service solely based on how terrible the customer service was inside this store. I'm a LONG time customer with AT&T, I love the service, the Customer Service on the phone, the whole bit however, I walked in the other day to an empty store with probably 7 employees standing around (PROBABLY high) chit chattering about nothing. It took about 40 seconds before anyone noticed me and when I was finally there, a very shy, unresponsive rep came up to me asking for me to sign in with her to get someone to help. I stopped her and had kind of a "Larry David" moment and said "wait, why do I need to sign in? You have 7 people here, let me just talk to one of them". Apparently, she needed to relay my info and "PUT ME IN LINE" to talk to one of them... very dumb. I don't ramble on, but pretty much in a nut shell, they couldn't answer a simple question about restoring an iPhone.
