A round of applause for Commission Kristen and Margin Mars--proving there's no problem they can't solve by selling you something else that you dont need. An elderly family member came in for help with an Apple Watch and somehow left convinced she needed a home internet device to make it work. That's an impressive sales pitch... just not one we appreciated. The paperwork flew by, no physical receipt was provided despite being requested, and when we returned to undo the sale, the friendly customer service disappeared faster than a commission check. Do yourself a favor, avoid this place. They have no problem taking advantage of elderly customers in a vunerable situation. I usually don't leave reviews, but Chris truly deserves the credit. My husband and I were on a month-long business trip and kept struggling with bad data and WiFi at our hotel. He seemed annoyed to do his job and was rude. Told my daughter her phone had a scratch on the screen and she did not qualify for the Next upgrade. They didn't want for me to keep my number to switch yo another plan. They were trying yo force me into buying a new number. ATT clearly states on their websites that you can transfer and keep your number. When I asked for a manager, the employee said that he was not in. I went into the ATT Pacific View Mall to purchase 2 new iphone 12 pro max's for my wife and I. The result of that visit has been many hours spent on the phone trying to fix all that got messed up from the visit. All I wanted was two new Iphone 12 Pro max's...nothing else. What I got: - was a plan change that I did not request.This caused my bill to go higher -The addition of a plan called Nex to trade in your phone. I did not request this plan or its additional $10 monthly charge. -I also find out that the $250 I put as a down payment was not credited to my account causing my phone to have a higher monthly payment. BTW, The charge for the down payment had posted to my CC account. I spent hours on the phone trying clean up this mess. At one point they asked me to bring my receipts into the ATT store to clear things up....which I did. It did not go well.....at all. I was treated mind boggingly badly by the store supervisor. She was shockingly rude....has no clue how to listen to a customer who has already been put through the ringer on the phone. And ultimately refused to help me with the screw ups her sales person unloaded on me. I am 64 and have never been treated so shabbily by a representative of a company. I was upset, but never rude or disrespectful to supervisor.She did nothing but make a bad situation horrible. The store manager ruined 16 years of loyalty to ATT in a single 5 minute conversation. My response to all this aggravation was to call back ATT and find out if I could get out of my contract and return my phones. I've been with ATT since 2005. What ultimately happened: The answer was no. I was 8 days past the refund limit. What they did do for me: -Gave me a $50 credit for my trouble. -Gave me $345 credit for the difference in price from my old plan to the new one I am now stuck with. After being a happy ATT customer for 16 years I am now searching for another carrier due to the actions of the sales person, and her Supervisor at this particular ATT store. Went to this fantastic store, one customer 4 people working they asked for my name told me to wait. I waited more than 20 minutes, and no one came to help me. Finally I get up told someone I had to go because they were talking to long, her answer was ok have a nice day but any moment she apologized or get someone to help me. I was going to get 4 new phones for my family, but definitely this wasn't the place to get them. The good thing i only have a couple months left with the contract. Worst company ever!!!! I switched from Verizon Wireless in March of 2018, we are now in October of 2018.. We switched to get the IPhone 10/X in a BOGO deal which means buy one get one free.. We bought four and are supposed to have two free. ATT has been charging me for three phones since March. We have opened multiple cases to fix the billing issue which has been declined multiple times. Also, they put me in the wrong type of accounts which was charging us an additional $20 a month. The icing on the cake is that they have changed my billing date three times now without my consent and two months I have been charged double my bill due to their constant changing of my bill dates.. Do your self a favor, pay the extra money and GO TO VERIZON... I was with Verizon for 15 years before changing to try and save $40 a month.. Worst decision of my life..... read more

I went in to do a switch from my son's iPhone 5c to a hand me down iPhone 6, I felt a little silly when it was just a matter of switching the sim cards! But I was so glad the wonderful sales woman didn't try to be pushy and push anything else! It was actually I who asked about the free tablet promotion, I wanted a new tablet for my son, and I had a hotspot that was out of contract and I didn't use it very much anyway. She told me that I'd get the tablet for free with a 2 year contract and actually my bill would drop $10 a month. It was SUPER EASY and because I had Plenti points, I paid literally ZERO out of pocket for a new tablet for my son. The whole process was quick, painless, and I left with two very happy children. I used to fear going into AT&T stores but over the last year or so, both locations I have gone to have surpassed my expectations! Good job! P.S. if you notice many of the low reviews; aren't even about this store! They are about other issues and frankly are laughable. I just want to begin by saying this is by far the worst customer service I have ever experienced. I have worked in the customer service department for years and when I tell you that you are not acknowledged at all here! I was sitting waiting for a simple 'hello, I'll be right with you' but instead we get snarky looks. my husband and I recently went to the AT&T store to buy him a new phone. while we where there, working with an agent, a female agent interrupted repeatedly to tell us we should "upgrade" our plan to get unlimited data, because 'it will only cost $1 more" and we would get one more phone line. We said no because we had no need for a phone line, but the agent who was heping us was taking so long that we decided to listen to the woman and eventually agreed to the "upgrade." she didn't tell us we would lose our ability to use our phones as hotspots as a result. for the last week we haven't been able to figure out what was wrong, and my husband was finally told we don't have "a hotspot plan." to get the hot spot again, we now have to pay $10 more a month than we were already paying. it was a blatant bait and switch and that woman misled us completely about what we were getting. read more

I went in knowing what I wanted and needed; moving my four - 1 week old pre-paid accounts back to postpaid; which had existed as postpaid, (various iterations of family share products) for about 12 years prior. ALL I got from these guys was frustration. It looked like I was going to get helped in a timely manner, as I got to talk to a rep the first 5 minutes I was there. If I had wanted DirecTV, a new phone or some other up-sell, I'd have been fine; after humming and haa-ing about 30 minutes, I was told that the only way to resolve my issue correctly, keeping my phone numbers, was for me to move my business to another carrier. I kid you not! I got upset with this, and told the rep that since I had been talking to ATT CSRs on the phone for the past three days, I knew this wasn't anything close to reality - "You really need to get a second opinion! What you're telling me is unacceptable." I said, as he was walked away, telling me there was nothing more he could do. I was then confronted by someone identifying himself as the store manager, who stomped up and informed me that the rep was acting under his direction, and there was nothing more they could do for me. Incredulously I exclaimed, "You need to get a second opinion on this... You can't be serious! You're telling I need to get another carrier?!" I was then actually physically threatened by the guy apparently trying to get me to leave! (He stood about one foot away from me, staring at me, posturing. Asking him if he thought he was provoking or scaring me, he said nothing. ) I laughed, took a step back from him, and told him if he took another step closer, we'd have a real problem. I then phoned ATT customer care (again) to find another store to go to. At this point he began yelling something at me, but I waved him off, saying I was on the phone with a customer service rep, and was finished with him. The CSR on the phone sent me to another ATT store across town, The Victoria Avenue store - where my issue was resolved inside of 30 minutes - including my time in the wait queue. I was shocked and dismayed at the lack of knowledge and professionalism of the people at this store. This was beyond excusable. It was surreal - Worst.Customer.Service.EVER. Pros: our customer service rep (I think his name was Michael S) was awesome. He was very patient and helped us with everything we needed. Stellar customer service from him. Cons: as a walk in, our wait time was insane (an hour +). I would recommend making an appointment online since that bumps you up to the top of the list (over all of the walk-ins!) when you arrive. Secondly, the person who greeted us at the door to add our name to the list was not very knowledgeable about the products or what the store even had in stock. He also lacked confidence and mumbled-most of his answers were "Ummmm I don't know." Well, can you check please? Sheesh. I walked right in and saw two people working with three customers sitting down. I found the stuff I needed and waited at the register but ATT doesn't have registers. You have to go to a employee with a iPad. I asked if I could check out and he told me there's a 20 min wait. HA! I walked out. Too bad you lost a 60.00 easy sale because you didn't have enough employes running the store or have a register. Makes me think about not keeping my contract if you guys can't pay people!
