We asked for medium spiciness and it was perfect for us. Our soup was full of ginger, lemon grass and chili oil. It contained shrimp, fish, crab, clams, mussels, calamari. I think some of the items might have been slightly overcooked but that didn't detract. I suggest dunking the bread in the broth. Awesome. The place was bright and clean. Had sometime to kill before a 7:50 movie. China Bistro was preferred but we had never had C Fresh so thought we would give it a try. We had the Pad See We with beef and it wasn't to bad, I did enjoy it. They charge $2 for water and when I asked the server he said they didn't have tap water. However, there are sinks located outside the bathroom so filled up there when more water was needed. They also charge $1 additional for Thai Tea without ice, essentially this place is all about getting every dollar out of the customer. Service was not adequate, when we arrived (we were the only customers) the waiter sat us but didn't bring us or offer any drinks. I had to signal him for a beverage service. When he brought the food he didn't ask if we wanted any condiments. I had to ask him for chop sticks, soy sauce and hot sauce. He also never came and asked us how the food was or just asked if we needed anything. Again, there wasn't a single person in the restaurant besides us so I can't see how the service was this bad. Now, the thing that blew my mind and will prevent me from ever going back here is the price of a $9 rack of baby back ribs. Apparently this establishment thinks those $9 rack of ribs is worth $42!!! Yep, you read it right...that's more then every single BBQ spot in Bakersfield! This is a seafood restaurant that apparently thinks very highly of there ribs. The ribs were hit and miss, some dry and some cooked decently, but for $42 dollars it should be perfection. But to charge more then Tahoe joes, Dickeys, Texas Roadhouse and Outback Steakhouse is absurd. It's unfortunate to have a newer place that feels as if it's about getting all they can out of there customers wallets. If your looking for decent food with friendly prices go to China Bistro. This meal of noodles, fries and ribs for $80 is ridiculous. It felt like highway robbery, money I can't get back for food more around the value of about $40 if that. Furthermore, the gratuity stated in the back of the menu is not how good restaurants works, every restaurant I have been to that does this has made sure to inform you prior to the meal or at the time of the bill being delivered. The Big Combo consisted of King Crab, Clams, Oysters, Muscles, Crawfish, corn/potatoes, and this, I wish I could lick the bottom of the bowl, flavorful sauce.
