    Fried chicken

Delicious! We were seated right away for an afternoon meal. Our server was very nice and the ambiance is simple. It seems like a family runned business and we enjoy supporting small businesses. They have a t.v. playing music in the background. We decided to share the kimchi pork belly, fried chicken and the hot pot soup. Each of us received a small bowl of rice to go along with our food. The fried chicken included big pieces. The seasoning and spice on the Kimchi pork belly was just right. Someone in our group did mention they wish there was less fat on the pork belly. Everything was delicious and felt fresh. 3 of us shared each of the plates. I'd definitely come back.

Had a great date night here a few weeks ago. I've been here in the past but hadn't been here since the new menu came out. I wanted my guy to try Korean food for the first time. I am happy to report that he enjoyed the experience as well as the meal. Introduced the Bhan Chan and the LA short ribs and soon tofu. It was a great meal and I'm looking forward to trying some of the new items.

I absolutely love Korean food and K Pocha is my favorite place in Bako to get it! I came on a weekend around 8pm for a late dinner. There were a couple other tables when we arrived, so we were immediately seated. The inside was very clean and comforting. We ordered the bossam and a fried rice dish to share. The bossam was super tender and flavorful. The fried rice was also quite delicious, but the bossam was the star. Overall, we had a great experience and I'll definitely be back for more!

staff comes by quick for refills, extra orders, and other requests without need to raise your hand. they know when guests are deep in conversation and to intervene in a way that is quick, and thus, not disruptive. contentiously monitoring from the side to ensure all guest's needs are addressed. food was super duper yummy, especially the tteokboki. Had wayyyyy too much cheese for the cheese tteokboki that there was not as tteokboki as wanted. not too loud and love the homage to older, well-loved Korean movie posters as decorations. an overall good time, especially with the background K-pop music videos playing. Extremely surprised no World Cup games playing bc I feel like this would have been the perfect venue for that, too

I recommend this place for anyone who loves authentic Korean food. The portion sizes are a descent size. We were a party of 5 and we shared 4 entrees and a tteokbokkk appetizer. The tteokbokki was cooked perfectly but i wish it had a creamier sauce! The short rib was very flavorful and not over cooked. The restaurant is pretty small and they get busy. Unfortunately our waiter didn't check on us much. Their banchan was delicious and i wish we were able to get a few refills on our tables favorite ones. All in all I do plan on coming back and i can't wait to try more items on their menu.

A nice small korean restaurant with plenty of options, We came for the first time on friday night and just after seating, the place really kicked up. there was a nice atmosphere with music and good conversation. Service was a tad slow getting our drinks and order but the food made up for it. The tteokbokki was really good and the rice cakes were soft and bouncy and not too spicy, i do wish there was a rose tteokbokki option. The marinated boneless short rib had lots of flavor and retained the juices really well! my favorite was the beef brisket soft tofu soup, which was absolutely delicious, it had a generous helping of thin beef brisket, loads of soft tofu and a nice egg yolk in the center and green onions, overall the dish was flavorful, hot and filled me right up. All dishes came with banchan and rice.

Quick service, friendly/polite staff, large portions. Place was empty on a Thursday night.

Don't be fooled by the exterior. While outside, it looks like just any other restaurant, their Korean food here is so authentic and probably one of the best in town. They serve banchan while waiting for your food. Everything is so flavorful and I always loved the variety, giving your palate different flavor profiles, getting you ready for your meal. Their battered fried chicken is perfectly seasoned and tender. Their bibimbap is equally good, just make sure you put the right amount of sauce and mix well! My husband and I shared both and we still had enough to take home. Customer service is excellent as well! Definitely going back!

What a treat for southwest bakersfield! First time here and it was so so yummy. Service was fast and friendly and food came out fast. The restaurant itself is smaller but not tiny and has a good amount of seating. I enjoyed the banchan, kimchi pancake, and bibimbap all were so delicious. It was filling and a great price. I will be back with friends!

Best Korean spot I've been to in the Central Valley! My friends and I loved the food, loved the atmosphere, and there was good service! We shared the dumplings and I got the Hot Stone Bibimbap. Def coming back to this place again with my friends.

    Army Stew

The food is really tasty, we went in on the way back home from LA and it's pretty late (nearly close to closing time). The staff were kind and friendly. The waiter even gave us more side dishes as refills. Love their fish cake side dish and Napa cabbage Kimchi. We ordered "stone pot Bibimbap"," Corn Cheese", and "Army Stew". Corn cheese and Stone pot bibimbap were really nice and tasty. Army stew was still good yet could done better. Overall, this restaurant is 10/10.

The family and I visited K Pocha for dinner, and the food and service were 5 stars. The restaurant felt like a family run business with warm attentive service. The service really stood out and was excellent. We ordered the ribs, fried calamari, tteokbakki and beef and tofu. Every dish was seasoned perfectly with tons of flavor. Food came out quickly from the kitchen too. Would highly recommend for authentic Korean food with excellent service.

It's pretty small inside so it won't be great for large groups but the employees are friendly. The guy that gave me my order informed me that this place is originally from Louisiana and this store is the only one in California! I ordered the 4 piece fish combo and chose the fried okra and red beans and rice for my sides. I also added the fried green tomatoes to my order. I'm not a fan of catfish but this was good. The seasoning on their food is SEASONING, okay?!!!! The fried green tomatoes are delicious without any sauce but when you dip it in their homemade tartar sauce and hot sauce it's amazing! I'm not sure what kind of roll it is that comes with their meals but Hot Damn it's bomb! It's like a soft pillow, almost like a beignet but not as airy. I didn't eat my food for about 40 minutes or so and the roll was still so soft! I will definitely hit this place up again and give the fried chicken and fried shrimp a try! If you've been looking for a place with fried fish, look no more! It's called Chick O Fish and it's in Bakersfield via Louisiana!

This place just opened up yesterday. It was their second day. They have chicken, fish, and shrimp…read more Everything I had on the combo plate was breaded. I got a side of fries, cole slaw, and a freshly baked bun. The owner told me this was a franchise. They were from Louisiana and were looking for opportunities in Bakersfield. As with any new business, it is going to take a few days to get the place up and running. You can eat inside. The tables and chairs looked comfy, but I opted to take out. The walls are a little sparse, but I'm certain they will dress the place up nicely. The owner was very nice and you could tell he had a passion for this business. I look forward to seeing them very successful.
