Solid Thai spot in Folsom! Heard a lot of good things about Folsom Thai Cuisine so finally decided to check it out with my family on a Saturday around 8:20pm! It was close to closing time, so it wasn't too crowded. Ambiance was nice and I liked all the decor. We ordered family-style: Tom Kha Soup with veggies, Pad See Ew with tofu (medium spicy), and Curry Fried Noodles with tofu (Thai spicy) - all with vegan oyster sauce. Food was ready in about 15 minutes! Tom Kha Soup (5/5): Favorite of the night! The coconut flavor stood out and was very comforting. We forgot to pick a spice level but added some chili flakes after, and then it was pretty much perfect. There were a lot more mushrooms than other veggies, which was not a big deal. Generous portion size! Pad See Ew (4/5): Noodles and veggies were cooked well and had good flavor. It wasn't spicy at all, so we added some spice on the side. Could've used a bit more tofu and veggies, but still solid overall. Curry Fried Noodles (3/5): We ordered this one Thai hot (max spice) but it was actually a bit bland. Besides the curry powder, there wasn't much flavor until we added more spice on the side. Similar to the Pad See Ew, could've used more tofu and veggies, but everything was cooked nicely. Overall, we thought Folsom Thai Cuisine was pretty good! Staff was friendly and service was quick. I'd probably skip the noodles next time and go for the soup or a curry instead.

My husband has been craving a specific type of dish that we loved at this other Thai place when we lived in Vacaville. I've been searching for a place that had something similar and FINALLY found it at this spot! We ordered the Crispy Chicken x 2, Spicy Fried Rice with Tofu, and Thai Tea x 2. The Crispy Chicken with the creamy citrus sauce was exactly what we've been looking for. The crisp and crunch of the chicken dipped in a citrus/lemon sauce - perfection! I also loved that it came with tempura vegetables instead of regular steamed vegetables. We also loved that we paired it with the spicy fried rice with tofu because it just made the whole meal come together! And to end it with a refreshing sip of Thai tea was the cherry on top. The prices were a bit on the high end for dishes like these but the taste and goodness of the food we ordered made it worth it! We will definitely come back and maybe eat in person to try more of their menu!

The chicken red curry could use a bit more flavor, but overall the food was amazing. Staff were very friendly and attentive. Thai iced tea, drunken noodles and crab Rangoon was so delicious. Will be coming back again!

So many consisently delicious and flavorful dishes here. Love their eggplant, pad see ew, and param dishes. The thai ice tea is also a refreshing treat. Service is friendly and efficient. The decor is a bit eclectic, and there's ample seating.

Amazing service! Absolutely delicious. Peanut sauce is a must. I really enjoyed the green curry and pad thai! They gave so many noodles with the pad thai! Chicken Satay 8.5 / 10 Green Curry 9 / 10 Pad Thai 9 / 10

Curry was great - full of flavor and spice, and one order of rice is a really good amount. The tom yum noodle soup was alright - I didn't love the fish balls, but the soup itself was delicious and the right amount of tangy!

Stopped by with my sister, we were looking to try a new Thai spot. Glad we stumbled upon this place. Great ambiance, we ordered the Shrimp and Garlic Pan Thai and the Thai Basil Chicken with mild fried rice. Delicious.

The beef noodles soup was this flavor beef paste. It tasted exactly like this.

It's a clean lovely restaurant, good customer service, however their food is very salty and too sweet, i kept going back hoping for better experience. Nothing improved at all, beef noodle soup, all the fish dish too sweet and salty. I don't think i'll be returning. I don't like the beef noodle soup at all, it was always so salty, can't taste beef flavor.

Friendly service, so-so food. We were in the area and wanted to try a different Thai spot and opted for Folsom Thai Cuisine. The restaurant itself was very nice, with plenty of space and very friendly service. If you are a plus-size person with wide hips, the seats are not ideal. Our waitress was nice enough to grab me an alternative chair, which was ok, but not very comfortable. Here's what we ordered: Egg Rolls: 3/5, They were crispy and hot? However the inside were a bit on the mushy side. Curry Puffs: 5/5, These were FANTASTIC! They were hardy, flavorful and were served with a delicious sweet sauce with chopped cucumber, red onion and (I think) red peppers. This was the highlight of the meal for both of us. Yellow Curry, with beef: 2/5, The flavors were not my favorite and kind of clashed with the beef. I can't help but wonder if we had ordered with chicken if the taste would have been better. Pad Thai: 1/5, I was thrown off a bit at first by the fact that the noodles were not wide noodles. The part that really turned me off was that this is a sugary take on Pad Thai that I was not expecting and did not like. The ingredients on the menu did not indicate this was be a sweet dish and I was not a fan of I had maybe 3 bites.

YELP Thank You Thursday I made reservations here at Folsom Thai Cuisine one week prior to our dinner. My phone call was answered promptly by a friendly employee and put me down on their calendar for Nov 12. Last Sunday our party of 12 met at the restaurant. The restaurant had a nice ambiance and our table was arranged near the cashier, not quite private but our table was apart from where they seated other guests. This way we were able to get up, mingle, and take photos without disturbing other diners. We placed our orders individually and shortly after our orders was being served one at a time until everyone got their food... everyone except us (me and hubby). We were the first ones to order and somehow our order was missed and we had to remind our server. We ordered Crab Fried Rice, Crispy Chicken and Garden Shrimp. Anyway, the most important thing was everyone in my group got their orders okay and they all seemed to enjoy the different dishes. The servers were helpful and attentive to our table. They were also able to accommodate separate checks, which was nice! So thank you to Folsom Thai Cuisine for taking in our group and keeping our bellies full. We all had a great time! #ThankyouThursday Review #3232

To be honest, I am not well versed on Thai cuisine. But I know what my tastebuds like and they like the food here at Folsom Thai Cuisine . Plus the owner and staff are absolute sweethearts. They have big smiles, fun personalities and do a darn job of taking care of their customers even with a full house. Plus the back kitchen kept up with all the various orders. I dined here on a Sunday night with a semi-rowdy group of 12. We ordered drinks, bottle of wine, appetizers, and entrees. We were well taken care of. They even allowed us to split checks without any hassles. Super generous of them. The fish cakes were yummy. The duck curry was ah-mazing. It had a touch of sweetness and substantial slices of duck. Mmm. The crab fried rice had a clean, non-oily look and taste. The white rice was light and fluffy. Everything looked fresh and had beautiful color. My friends enjoyed their meals as well. Also the interior is beautiful. It has a bit of an upscale design look and vibe.

My friends and I came here to have dinner on Sunday night. Our friend came in town from Hawaii, so we had to make sure she had a great dinner with great friends. We had a reservation and was seated without any issues. We all shared the dishes so we can all try the various foods. We ordered the fish cakes, summer fresh rolls-shrimp, Thai basil (pad kra pow), beef chow mein, and a bottle of Bogle wine to share. The food came out and everything was delicious. The service was also good! Our waters were filled, and the refills kept coming. Needless to say, we ordered a lot of food! I had the leftovers for lunch, and it was still just as good. I would definitely come back if I am in the area! The restaurant got filled up while we were eating dinner. I would recommend coming a bit early!

I expected more mint flavor from a dish with mint in the name. All in all, no dish was bad, but was not really impressed by anything either. Service was good. Pretty good portions. Not somewhere I'd go out of my way for personally. However, with so many five stars reviews, definitely think you should give Burma Light a try if you're thinking about it!

It and the coconut rice balanced the spiciness of the lamb and eggplant perfectly. My wife likes to wash it down with a blue moon. I believe the traditional Burmese beer is similar. I ordered the Panang curry with salmon and my friend ordered cashew chicken and the Thai eggplant... however, the service was RUDE!!!! Apparently we came in about 30 minutes before they closed mid day. We had ZERO idea that this was the case. They asked us when we walked in if we were there to pickup or dine in and we said dine in. They told us that we had to order before the kitchen closed and we were fine with that. We got the menus and my friend asked a question about the Thai iced tea...the waitress snapped back "Thai iced tea is Thai iced tea"....hella rude!!! My friend was trying to ask if it was boba tea but just I guess didn't say it right. So DISRESPECTFUL. We got our orders together by the time she got back with the tea and our food came out quickly...along with the check...my friend asked for to go containers and again the server was like "I don't have 3 hands...I have to go back and get it on the second round" or something to that effect. She was just all around rude, disrespectful and snatchy. Look, we TOTALLY understand needing to take a break before the next service starts, and I'm sure working in a restaurant is tiring! So the thing to say if customers come in last minute would be "hey, I'm sorry, we close in a bit and there wouldn't be enough time to give you a good experience...would you like to order something to go?" Or SOMETHING LIKE THAT... don't let us come in then treat us like trash!! We walked out at the end and nobody said one word to us...it was awkward and uncomfortable. Won't be back.

I have eaten here about 5 times so far. Things I observed. Pros - The food is good. Mostly Thai inspired but there is sometimes a variety. Every time things have tasted great. - They accept cash, credit, Apple pay, and even member direct billing to account. - In addition to cooked food there is a good variety of snacks, drinks, and quick bites. - The smoothies are very good. - Friday afternoons in the summer they have a happy hour with cheaper food and alcoholic drinks available. - There are some tables next to the cafe as well as outside to site and enjoy your meal. Cons - Menu isn't always consist. Sometimes there is a sign with the "typical" menu and sometimes you have to stand in line and ask what they have to find out. Of the 5 times I've ordered there have been changes to the menu every time. Either they were missing items or they decided to only serve a special random set of items. This makes it a bit difficult as a customer to know what is available to order. - The line can get a bit long at times and it's often not very quick to order or get your food. Overall I would recommend trying it out. I would give it 5 stars if there was a bit more consistency with the menu. The food itself though is tasty.

We started with Goi Nem Nuong (grilled pork spring rolls) - this was actually really good and served warm. We also grabbed the salt and pepper calamari. Batter was crispy, calamari was chewy but was a tad oily. Flavor was there. Pho N Roll noodles came up short. We order (2) special Pho (Dac Biet) and BBH in large size.
