    Pad See Ew Beef
    Krisstina C.

This place has some of the best thai food I've ever tried! I came in a big group for late lunch and we were able to be seated right away. We tried a lot of their items but my favorites were the crabmeat pancake which came with fresh fruits and the pad see ew with beef which had chewy noodles and perfectly cooked beef. All of the items came in a timely manner. I also appreciated that their thai iced coffee and thai iced tea came with one free refill! We are not from the area but decided to try out this thai place and I'm glad we did. I highly recommend coming to eat at this restaurant!

Chicken pad thai & pork green curry with steamed rice

I called for a pick up order for an early dinner on Thursday and was told to come in 20 minutes. When I got to the restaurant, my food was ready. - pad thai with chicken: the portion was good. The noodle was perfectly cooked. But the pad thai was on sweeter side to my liking. They gave lots of well cooked chicken pieces. It's was good. - green curry with pork & steamed rice: MY FAVORITE! The curry was super good: it was creamy and had deep flavor. It had a bit of heat but not too spicy. They gave lots of pork pieces along with other vegetables. It might be the best green curry in Folsom! I will definitely come back to try different items.

You're probably sleeping on this place. Delicious! We tried two apps: the "must try" crab pancake is exactly that. Wonderful and the fresh fruit adds a fun fresh element. The red curry was wonderfully creamy, not greasy at all, and medium spicy was just that. Pot Tak soup was plentiful, very tasty. We also tried the fried tofu app and it was very crispy with a tasty sauce.

Lovely little place. Tried for first time today and was so pleased. Friendly staff, nice, warm environment, soft jazz playing in the background (at a decent level!) and great food. Lots of lunch specials. I ordered red curry and was soooooo delighted. Have had curry at other places that was plated much nicer and made a better first impression. One I tasted it, though, I was a happy diner. Great flavor with a definite kick (but not TOO much). Good portion size. One refill with my Thai iced tea. (The tea was a tad mild for my liking, but the curry more than made up for it. Yep, it's made it on my list of top local contenders for favorite curry! Wooohooo! Parking was a bit problematic around lunch time. Was a bit busy -- seemed to have a lot of takeout orders. Even so, the lone server was very efficient, friendly and fast.

Has turned into our "go-to" Thai restaurant. Food is delicious and it's a mom and pop operation! Wife is out front and husband is cooking. Haven't had a bad dish or meal yet. Check it out!

I had Pumpkin Curry again, but this time asked for the spice level to be between 3 and 'Thai Hot', which I found perfect. My husband had Pra Ram with tofu. On Sundays, she's in the kitchen cooking and turning out amazing dishes as well! Last Sunday I brought vegetarian family over for lunch and we ordered my goto safe and tasty silver noodles. It is made of mung bean which gives this clear noodle look and quite chewy. The flavor is a good balance of sweet and savory but not spicy at all unless you tell them to. Wife had their spring rolls and kids had drunken noodles no spicy. They are very accommodating with all sorts of requests like no eggs no onion no garlic etc and wanting soft tofu rather than fried tofu. I saw how many new specials they have plastered on the window and inside entrance, I knew I had to bring my parents over this Sunday! We came in today and order the crying tiger. We do wish it to be rarer for more soft texture but the flavor was great. My parents liked the ocean in love with the lobster tail, shrimp, and scallops over spiced veggies. The BBQ pork ribs was another safe choice of mild and savory Sweet flavor while the meat was tender. I didn't try the tom yum shrimp fried rice but my parents liked it as it has coconut flavor and it was literally a mountain of fried rice! Spicy though and I had to refrain while letting my GI heal from recent injury. Upon placing the orders, the owner quickly came out to see if it was really us! That's how we found out she cooks in the kitchen as well when she is needed in there. Always a pleasure and loving the innovation of new dishes. We also love their curry puffs! Come eat local and experience it yourself! I personally like sitting by the windows with the bright ambiance during summer time

Portions were generous and pricing was decent. The Pad Thai looked great visually, but the noodles were overcooked and broken into smaller pieces, and it was missing peanuts. The flavor was very bland--I kept adding fish sauce to try to bring it to life. The sour seafood soup was good but also needed fish sauce. The Thai fried rice was begging for soy sauce or fish sauce as well. Something just felt off tonight. The Laos-style papaya salad wasn't pungent or spicy at all. I ordered medium spicy, but it came out mild. I had to add quite a bit of fish sauce and chilies to suit my taste. Overall, the service was good, but the food lacked flavor for me.

We ordered the boat noodle, which was super flavorful and really unique. We've never had anything like it before, so it definitely stood out. But the star of the show for me was their Pad Thai. I genuinely think it's the best Pad Thai I've had in Sacramento. I've been searching for a good one that isn't overly sweet, and this place absolutely nailed it. This is officially my go-to spot for Pad Thai from now on. The service during our first visit was good, and the ambience is really nice ,cozy, warm, and inviting. The only reason I'm taking off one star is because of our second visit. We arrived about an hour before their posted closing time, but as soon as we pulled up, the staff inside hurriedly switched the sign to "closed." It caught us off guard because it was still early, and we were really looking forward to eating there again. Not sure what happened that night, and maybe there was a reason, but it did feel a little disappointing. Still, based on the food and our first experience, we're hoping to return and try again, especially for that Pad Thai!

Our waiter was extremely kind and accommodating to our many questions and inquiries. He checked up on us several times during our dinner and made sure we were happy with everything. Now onto the food!!!! We ordered the Burmese pad Thai with chicken, the coconut rice, and basil and dried chili beef, all medium spicy. The noodles in the pad Thai were cooked perfectly with a tangy sauce and the added peanuts gave a nice textural crunch. The sweetness of the coconut rice paired PERFECTLY with the spicy beef. She was just all around rude, disrespectful and snatchy. Look, we TOTALLY understand needing to take a break before the next service starts, and I'm sure working in a restaurant is tiring! So the thing to say if customers come in last minute would be "hey, I'm sorry, we close in a bit and there wouldn't be enough time to give you a good experience...would you like to order something to go?" I have eaten here about 5 times so far. Things I observed. Pros - The food is good. Mostly Thai inspired but there is sometimes a variety. Every time things have tasted great. - They accept cash, credit, Apple pay, and even member direct billing to account. - In addition to cooked food there is a good variety of snacks, drinks, and quick bites. - The smoothies are very good. - Friday afternoons in the summer they have a happy hour with cheaper food and alcoholic drinks available. - There are some tables next to the cafe as well as outside to site and enjoy your meal. Cons - Menu isn't always consist. Sometimes there is a sign with the "typical" menu and sometimes you have to stand in line and ask what they have to find out. Of the 5 times I've ordered there have been changes to the menu every time. Either they were missing items or they decided to only serve a special random set of items. This makes it a bit difficult as a customer to know what is available to order. - The line can get a bit long at times and it's often not very quick to order or get your food. Overall I would recommend trying it out. I would give it 5 stars if there was a bit more consistency with the menu. The food itself though is tasty.
