Blue Rice Cafe is located inside Broadstone Sports Club. The Cafe is usually open for customers and they also cater to certain events hosted at the club. I have eaten here about 5 times so far. Things I observed. Pros - The food is good. Mostly Thai inspired but there is sometimes a variety. Every time things have tasted great. - They accept cash, credit, Apple pay, and even member direct billing to account. - In addition to cooked food there is a good variety of snacks, drinks, and quick bites. - The smoothies are very good. - Friday afternoons in the summer they have a happy hour with cheaper food and alcoholic drinks available. - There are some tables next to the cafe as well as outside to site and enjoy your meal. Cons - Menu isn't always consist. Sometimes there is a sign with the "typical" menu and sometimes you have to stand in line and ask what they have to find out. Of the 5 times I've ordered there have been changes to the menu every time. Either they were missing items or they decided to only serve a special random set of items. This makes it a bit difficult as a customer to know what is available to order. - The line can get a bit long at times and it's often not very quick to order or get your food. Overall I would recommend trying it out. I would give it 5 stars if there was a bit more consistency with the menu. The food itself though is tasty. read more

Tucked away inside a cute sports club. Food-tofu spring rolls and padthai. My boyfriend said his pad thai was one of the best he's had. Same with my spring rolls. Even though they were just tofu and avocado, the texture of the tofu and the creaminess of the avocado was so perfect. They were also generous with how much of the sauces they give you. I really loved the chili sauce Drink-mango blueberry smoothie I believe? It was yogurt based and super creamy and delicious. I genuinely loved everything we had here. Located within the broadstone sports club, you'll want to tell front desk that you wanted to order here and they can point you to the right direction (left hand side once you get past th3 check in entrance where there are dining chairs) The cute location has great healthy options for on the go eats, the food and drink options are delicious, do note that yelp/google maps does not give you the right steps to get in, I've suggested an edit to the yelp page and have showed the lady how to submit the fix on Google maps as well. read more

Here for a USTA Tournament. My wife plays. I come and hang out in the clubhouses and over the years I've been in many many clubhouses. The food here at Blue Rice was a pleasant and flavorful surprise today. I had 3 very unique "chicken tacos". They were not classic or typical chicken tacos at all. But they were freaking delicious !!! And I got a chicken curry bowl that was flavorful and a little spicy and so Yummly and hot and filing. I am sitting here now all warm and full and fuzzy and just super content. Very yummy food in an unlikely location. I'd crave that curry weekly if I had access to it regularly. read more

I don't even know where to start. Kiki and the team here at Blue Rice is the absolute best. I typically get my food in under 5 minutes unless its super busy (around 7 or 8). If my order was a little unclear they always made sure to clarify and make it right if they got something wrong. Additonally the food is so healthy...like healthy fast food and maybe cheaper. PLEASE READ THE FOLLOWING CAREFULLY!! I was there when the lady had an issue at the swim meet. There are thousands of people there and her barging past the line is unacceptable. She was an entitled El Dorado Hills person and its typical of those kinds of people. She was just angry because her swim team lost to the rival team. Overall Blue Rice Cafe is amazing. Don't hesitate to come try it out. Come support this hidden gem of a restaurant and support a good person. This location hosted a swim meet for the local team. I placed my order at 10:45 and - after I placed the order - the sweet teen at the counter said my order would be up at 11am. 11:00 am came and went and the order didn't come up, so my daughter subbed in for me. I subbed back in for her at 11:15 due to her race, but had to get to my volunteer spot at the meet. So I went inside to inquire, and the teen directed me to this lady, "the owner." I politely made my way to the side where she was working to inquire. "Ma'am, I've been waiting for 30 minutes and I have to get to my event. Can you please check?" The lady didn't even miss a beat but to clap back, "see all these people in line? You can wait just like them." I responded, yes I actually was in front of the line..." she interrupted, loudly. "you need to wait in line like everyone else." I responded yes, I was in the front of the line but several people have come and gone." She then said, "you need to wait. You come, you order and now you're yelling at me when you won't wait in line." I had never yelled at her, and at this point at least 6 people in line were loudly telling her, "she was in front. You're being rude. She's asking where her food is she's been waiting 30 minutes for. Maybe if food takes 30 minutes you should warn people at an event like this where they need to get to a race." She sarcastically told me, "go get your money back then." Several people came up later to say they would report her to our league. This lady should not be in food service. read more

Kikki is the best. Her rice bowls, wraps are incredible. My 13 old eats so many of her teriyaki rice bowls that she has named his Sams special. I get a vanilla protein shake almost every day and my youngest gets one of her yummy muffins. Kikki and her staff are the most polite and hard working staff eber, and we are so fortunate to have her be part of the Broadstone family. She catered a luncheon for a group of tennis ladies and did an amazing job.
