I bought a vehicle from George. It turned out to be a complete lemon. After the first week of buying the vehicle, I had to already get different repairs. Done far as motor mounts a battery. And I have to get my Turbo replaced as well. When I contacted them about these different concerns. I even have a water damage to the vehicle leaking from the Sun roof I brought all of this to their attention after just recently purchasing the vehicle and they said they would send me some money to help with the repairs which I never received from George. They also put a block, so I'm not able to even call them and complain about the situation. I am also reporting them to the Better Business Bureau because they're service. Sucks big time. and I will be filing a small's claims suit against them to get some of my money back. They also sent me to a finance company that is located in l a that has very bad reviews on them as well. And they gave me a very high interest rate.I'm still paying on a vehicle that I'm not even able to really drive because every other week.I'm happened to repair this lemon. I have since paid it off and sold it but it was a very reliable vehicle for me for a long time. I was in a jam when I went to Atayas. Had a recent repo and in the middle of an ugly divorce. Sam got me financed for an awesome suv. It had to have a low jack installed for the bank but whatever, I didn't care. I was and will always be grateful for them helping me like they did. Dont come here!! The worst place I have ever been . I was originally told I got approved for a vehicle and I could put down $1500. A day later they told me that I had to put down $2000. And today I still don't have the vehicle.....it's been a week. So im going else where. Now this is why they are shady as hell. I originally dealt with a guy named Jermaia. And he told me the vehicle would be good to go in a couple of days and it needed new batteries and alignment and detailing. The second day I dealt with a rude guy name vasoo (bald guy) who smelled like pot and was extremely rude and was trying to up sale me gap insurance . And after I told them no I can get it through my own insurance he says "look I'm trying to help you but I don't think you want to be helped" it's actually illegal to tell people that in order for approval you HAVE to buy gap insurance. They make commission on gap insurance. He was still trying to sell me gap insurance and saying the bank requires it. Which is total bullshit. So we caller him on his bullshit then they took off the gap insurance. Then I dealt with a guy named George (from africa) who had the audacity to tell me the information I had provided him from my work is FAKE. are you serious????? I had my bookkeeper call him and verify that he is full of shit. And he said yeah we think it's fake and that I should bring in tax returns. On a normal day that would be fine, but because I got accused of lying they can go fuck off!!!!! AND let's not mention they have no manners nor customer service ethics. These people are liars , cheaters , and no one does their job. 4 days straight i went in and it took them 3 hours to help me. I'm going to call BBB . I was going car shopping for a used car and noticed this place had good reviews. When I got there, the sales guy was really nice and wasn't hovering over me the entire time. He gave me my space to look all the cars on my own and wasn't pushy at all; HOWEVER, when I found a car I really liked, another sales guy was telling me I would have to pay at least half of the value of the car. But, after looking on Craigslist and seeing the types of cars people are trying to pawn off their salvaged cars, I went looking at a used car dealership. I went down Fulton Avenue and wounded up at Ataya's. I met Jeremiah and told him what price range I was looking for. He showed me a few cars, I took them for a test drive and decided on a '96 Passat. Best thing I did was go to Ataya's! I found the car I wanted, in the price range I could afford, and there was no pressure!. Mind you it's an "older" car. There were things that I wanted fixed before I bought the car. Jeremiah said make a list and we'll take care of it. Sure enough, he did. I was very surprised! Also, I wasn't able to drive the car home. So, I asked if they could deliver the car once everything was fixed (and again to my surprised), Jeremiah said it wasn't a problem. They didn't even ask for a delivery fee. That is truly service! So, stop looking on Craigslist! Go to Ataya's and go see Jeremiah! Be reasonable and you may find a good car to drive home. read more

I'm pretty laid back in general but the dishonest and deceptive practice offered here just had to be shared. I called to asked for a used vehicle they had on their lot. Adam picked up and assured me the vehicle is in prestine condition for the year. I told him I'll be driving 2 hours just to see the car so the description has to be spot on. When I arrive, I find a shoe box size dent on the side on the car, the from bumper imprinted with rock chips, a cracked windshield, a engine malfunction plus more. This is unacceptable to say the least. I also noticed most of the cars on the lot are in the same condition. I hope everyone thinks thinks twice before they visit this shady establishment. read more

If this thing allowed you to rate at zero stars, I would have. Let me start by saying, my husband and I were having a mildly retarded moment when we decided to buy a Range Rover from this place; But nonetheless, it seems to me that when you pay $22,000 CASH for a vehicle, said vehicle should work, right? Three days after bringing the car home, it started having problems. The windshield wiper fluid kept draining out, the tailgate wouldn't open, the brake sensor came on, one of the cup holders wouldn't open, a transmission over heat sensor came on, check coolant level sensor came on...So, we take it back for the repairs to be made. This place claims that they did the work that we requested (although they were not able to produce the old parts). Low and behold, the "repairs" were simply duct tape patch jobs made to last only long enough for them to no longer be liable for major damages caused by their dishonest approach to business. Now, 6 months after purchasing our vehicle, my husband and I are forced to decide whether or not to put another $10,000 (new transmission among MANY other problems) - yes, I did count the # of zeros correctly in that price tag - in repairs into this money pit, or sell it as is and lose thousands on the deal. When Ataya's was contacted in regards to these problems, they tried to put the blame on us for "driving the vehicle too rough", which is FAR from reality. If we were mildly retarded for ever having bought a vehicle from this place, we would be full on, helmet wearing if we EVER thought of taking our car back to them for major repairs. If you come here ask for Sam! I did what no car buyer should ever do. I test drove a car and instantly fell in love with it. Running through my credit, Sam said I most likely wouldn't get approved unless I made a much higher down payment which I didn't have anywhere near enough money for. I was so upset I started crying. Luckily he has two daughters and it broke his heart just as much as it did my own fathers. He said to give him a day or two to see what he could do for me. I left the car lot super depressed and started looking at lesser quality cars that I could afford easier. About 3 hours later I decided on a car at a different lot down the street because I felt I didn't have much else of a choice due to credit problems. As soon as I sat down to start signing papers for it, I got a call from Sam and I was approved! Long story short, I got up and started to leave the current dealership I was at and the salesman completely flipped out and treated me with so much disrespect. And later that night I drove away from Atayas lot in my "new to me" 2006 Range Rover and it took every ounce of me to not stop by the other lot with a big middle finger! Sam really pulled the strings for me. He wasn't pushy in any way like every salesman in the world. He was truly genuine in the fact that me crying like a baby hurt his own heart! The cars here are in excellent shape. And everyone who works here are some of the nicest people that you'd ever want to give all your money to! I don't plan on buying another car anytime soon because I'm so in love with with my Range Rover, but if I do I'll definitely be going back to Atayas. Thank you so much Old Man!! They sold me a bucket of problems that has cost me 1,000 dollars and I have only owned this car for one month!!!!! When I brought these problems to their attention they did absolutely nothing to correct them. Eventually, they "lost their patience with me" and told me to go "screw myself". I did nothing but ask to be reimbursed and did not disrespect them in any form. I absolutely have no idea how a business that crooked and unprofessional is allowed to keep their doors open.
