The Discovery (DANGEROUS): After determining the installed unit was incorrect, I purchased the proper ice maker myself (Part #7002734) and performed the replacement. Upon removing the part he installed, I made a disturbing discovery: He installed an incorrect ice maker model that did not fit the unit. To force the incorrect model to work, he cut and spliced the necessary wiring, using electrical tape to cover the exposed wires. This "hack job" is not only unprofessional but creates a serious fire hazard within my appliance.
