I have always thought that a few inexpensive little upgrades to the dining furniture, floors, and walls would help brighten the space up and encourage people to sit and enjoy their custard. The baked goods were fantastic! The sticky date cake is crazy good! It weighs a million pounds and is so thick and just the perfect texture. We also got the lemon yogurt cookie which was soft and tangy, 10/10. They have a cool little retail space for various alcohols, non-alcoholic beverages, food, tea etc. I was happy to buy some local loose leaf tea, and there were a ton to choose from! Service was fine. The person who took our order was friendly, the food took a lot longer than expected but we had time to kill so it didn't bother us. I'd go back if I visit Athens again, I'd love to try the soup!

But what really stands out to me are the poppy-seed rolls and their lemon-poppy tort cake.
