Construction in an occupied Hospital is rather tricky. Life Safety is at the forefront of planning. ATI is my go-to contractor for Containtment and Asbestos Remidiation. They show up on time for preliminary job-walks, communicate effectively -providing quotes in a timely fashion and floorplans confirming layout and ducting plans, but the biggest A+ for me is that the crew always shows up at the scheduled time for each project build! They are professionals and will do whatever it takes to provide top notch service. I trust ATI. They have set the bar rather high in the industry, I wont choose to work with anyone else for Hospital Construction Containment. Keep up the great work ATI Team! read more

Although this restoration company was on the 'recommended list' with my insurance company, I decided not to go with them because of all of the 1 star ratings. (probably a good thing) I had a situation where I reached out to them about possibly addressing a separate part of the work. Bill said he would call me back later that day or the next day. He didn't return my call. I called him twice. He wasn't answering his calls, so I left him a message (twice) to please call back. He didn't return my call. If a company doesn't want to do the work, at least have the courtesy to let me know. What a waste of time. read more

We had a water leak issue and thought it was a good idea to go with the restoration company that my insurance recommended. J&M Keystone (ATI) turned out to be the worst contractor I had to ever deal with. No sense of urgency and no updates unless I followed up multiple times. Dragged project from what was supposed to be 3-4 months to 8-9 months. This not only maxed out our loss-of-use coverage, but also caused me to miss opportunities to make other improvements to my house during the repair period. Packers didn't air out my fridge, caused it to become moldy. No clear plans about repair and limited opportunities to make upgrades. Basically, level of communication was abysmal, just winging it as they went. Some workers had no idea what they were doing, such as couldn't reinstall towel rods or hook up washer properly. Fortunately I was able to catch those moments the few times I was there, however I was not always there. Even though all bills were settled with my insurance, ATI keeps sending me invoices for work that was completed and settled months later. Avoid at all costs. read more

Everything! Be careful what materials they put into your home! I was told I was to get custom cabinets, I got cheap from China!! 40 year cabinet maker told me the interior of the shaker box is paper!! WTH?!! I thought it was MDF even though it's supposed to be ALL WOOD, it's worse. He will be cutting open a door to determine exactly what the materials are but I was to get ALL wood cabs from ATI!! Taking them to Small Claims, another customer experienced what we did with the bubbling and peeling on the doors! The company is unresponsive, not trust worthy! UPDATE: Small Claims is where I have taken this complaint. ATI wants to throw the date in my face on this project, but I had NO idea I wasn't given materials we were legally supposed to receive from ATI!! I didn't get ALL WOOD as we were supposed to. These cabinets were mass produced probably from China! A cabinet maker with 40 years experience told me the inner box on my shaker is paper!! What?! I was supposed to get all wood!! So when water gets on the cabinets and sits there, the peeling and bubbling is the result. The Judge didn't give me a judgement that day rather my case is now in submission! So this obviously isn't a cut and dry case. I absolutely have a valid case here and provided the strong evidence that we did not receive the materials we LEGALLY were supposed to! ATI admitted in a court of law they didn't give me "ALL WOOD!" Kristin wants to say they told me over and over the project was done in 2016, and I'm over the warranty?! Well, when you don't put the proper materials in a consumers home, warranty doesn't apply!! I'm now getting all wood from Canada and have learned from this experience what to look for when having to do cabinets. ATI claimed I signed off on this project. Of course I did, because I was under the impression I was getting all wood and "custom" cabinets as I was told. They misled us into absolute junk! I can't wait for my cabinet maker to cut open one of the doors and tell me what material I have for sure. If ATI wants to appeal should I win this case, I'm ready with all my solid evidence! Make sure you absolutely research materials you are to get in your home. We have learned a valuable lesson and I would continue looking for restoration companies that are honest and will be there for you should problems arise, and not get yourself in a situation like us! Read the BBB reviews, many experienced what I did, "crickets!!" No calls back. Kyle, the VP, came to my home and admitted to me along with the construction manager something seemed defective with my cabinets! You think??!! And then I got crickets after he left my home. The CEO was no better, threw the 1 year warranty in my face! Honestly, I feel they were trying to hide this! When I said I guess I will have to go to Small Claims, his response was "go right ahead!" Ok buddy, I did and I feel good about my case and the judge is stumped on how to rule! I'm not saying ATI intentionally defrauded me, but they sure didn't put in the materials my insurance company agreed to have put in! The judge is hung up on the "fraud" aspect even though I completely feel like I was defrauded here!! Just beware! Avoid this company at all costs! This company is also known as ATI Restoration, LLC. Insurance recommended ATI to handle a master bathroom water damage claim. All started out well until I decided to make changes to the approved insurance estimate by tiling the entire Master Bath area rather than going with partial tile/partial carpet per the insurance estimate. I agreed to forgo replacing carpeting in 2 closets (approved by insurance), use those funds and pay an additional $1400 to tile the entire master bath area. However, in spite of numerous requests, Mike, Sr.Project Director, refused to provide an updated itemized invoice for the 'new' job (all tile). I wanted this info so I could compare charges to the original insurance estimate and shop for tile. After much back and forth with no disclosure from Mike, I decided to cancel the contract with ATI. I informed my insurance company of what I perceived to be deceptive business practices. The Insurance company couldn't be bothered! ATI submitted a final claim to the insurance company that included charges for approved items that were not done (ex: dump fees for carpet that had yet to be removed by anyone). In retrospect, it appears that the main issue was that Mike subcontracted the job to Carpeteria, who was charging full retail for the work including tile. By ATI not doing the job 'in house' as was expected, the cost was significantly higher, leaving few dollars left for materials (floor tile). Per an email from Mike, "Tile material budget is between $3.00 - $3.50". Carpeteria doesn't even carry tile at that low a price point! My main issue is Mike treated me as if I was STUPID! He was trying to pass off the costs of the job as being fair and reasonable when in reality he was charging for the job, then passing it on to another company (Carpeteria) who expected to make a profit, as well. As for Carpeteria, I don't even want to get started on Shawn, who may or not still be with Carpeteria. He is/was a dunce who "didn't know what my budget was" yet every tile I chose was "over my budget"? Fortunately, I found a great tile guy who did a wonderful job for a lot less than what both insurance and I would have paid ATI for the entire job. I believe everything happens for a reason and I was saved from having a subpar and disappointing job done by ATI/Carpeteria. read more

My home was flooded April 11, 2018. I was referred to ATI by my friend who dealt with a flood and used this as her remediation and restoration. Her work was fixed and remodel added in 3 months. My work took One year and 4 months to complete. The project managers and bosses basically prolonged my situation because I fell through the cracks. The crew that did my work did it at sloth speed. My place was a complete mess for so long. The biggest slap in the face was when one of the bosses cane after several complaints, the crew got word and CLEANED UP before he got there. I was in shock. The quality of the work was suboptimal. They painted my walls with nails and holes. I had to constantly complain for things to get done right. But in the end I just wanted it DONE and then out of my life. Wasted weeks and months of my time and money. I was more than communicative and fast at providing all materials and supplies needed. I contacted the company over a dozen times to complain during the period of service. But still, managers, CEOs or who ever I dealt with didn't make anything go faster. I feel if I was treated with quick and efficient service my condo would have be ready much faster. I lost over $20,000 in savings to pay for mortgage and HOA during the time my work was not completed. My condo is complete now, but with a lot more lost and sacrificed other than what the flood damage did. I had a horrible experience and only give 2 stars because my home is complete because of one contractor that took his time to make things happen. read more

I used J&M Keystone (now ATI) for my full kitchen remodel. I was extremely pleased with them. Dominic (Sr Acct Exec and Program Manager) was terrific to work with. He had very good suggestions at the design stage. Then when I ordered a custom window he jumped in and worked with the fabricator to be sure that it would fit properly and and that his crew could install it. They did and it looks great. Nick (Project Manager) was the foreman on my job and he too did a great job. He was attentive to detail, had a good rapport both with me and with the crew, followed up well and stayed on top of all of the issues. Both Dominic and Nick were very responsive when I had questions or concerns. Nick's crews were extremely capable (a special shout out to Angel who was a wizard at carpentry!) and they all did a very good of protecting my house and cleaning up daily. Ouch. Unfortunately for us, ATI was a huge disappointment and a long, drawn out headache. Our insurer (USAA) assigned ATI after a 2 story plumbing leak. ATI was quick to come out and estimate repairs. You would think a super high $$$ estimate would mean pristine work -- but nope. Guys in the crew were nice enough, agreeable enough when we pointed out problems, but craftsmanship was horrible. First attempt at ceiling texture looked like a popcorn ceiling on half the room - YUK! Details around outlets and light fixtures was laughable. SEE PICS. They reworked our ceiling (texture and paint) FOUR TIMES before it looked decent. Not pristine, but just-please-leave-now good enough. Lots of excuses about moisture, blah, blah, blah -- but the bottom line was that the crew painted over the textures you see in the pictures thinking that was fine. YUK! Oh, and the lack of transparency on pricing... Insurance company got great detail in their price breakdown, but we got squat. We looked into a simple upgrade (maybe wood floors in the office), and based on ATI's own $/sqft quote for wood, they tried to price gouge to the tune of $5k. We asked, "Why so high?" They literally answered, "We are not obligated to show our subcontractors pricing breakdown." Um, really? We parted ways mid-project, sorry we ever trusted them in our home in the first place. read more

I did not write a review upon my first bad experience with ATI because it is a family owned company and I realize they support many employees but this is my second experience with ATI that has been extremely disappointing and drawn out. I have been left Each actual worker that has come to my home has been very polite, they lack attention to detail, but that's really not the problem, the management is the problem. Update * there is no track installed for the cutting bored in the cabinet restored, as well as scratches on my floors. It has been three weeks since I contacted them about the damage to my floors and STILL no contact back. So unprofessional. During both restorations the project managers provided little to no communication regarding a timeline and shown complete disregard for my concerns. They are agreeable and friendly when they come to your home and then take days to return messages, the managers seem under qualified or over booked because they can't seem to coordinate the different departments that need to work together to complete a restoration, and make it the client's problem that they have multiple departments to coordinate. If I performed my role as a manger with the complete disregard for people's time as they do, I would be fired. Our home owners association has a contract with them and this seems to mean that they don't care about getting restorations completed in a timely manner because they are getting paid regardless. read more

ATI is wonderful for dealing with water damage and drying things out. As for reconstruction, I highly suggest using a different company. The communication between managers and workers are terrible. They don't order the correct amount of material when doing a project, nor do most of the works know what they are doing. They are great at making promises and excuses. We went with them because our insurance recommended them. I went into this repair believing the rooms would look as nice as they did before the leak. What I have are rooms that look worse. Would not recommend this company at all for reconstruction! read more

Beware of the vendors they use for kitchen cabinets! I was told we would get custom cabinets and what we ended up with was mass produced cabinets "look inside and if you have red numbers with LS which means left side or RS right side, most likely from China mass produced!! I have discovered we had crap installed into our home in Del Mar from many cabinet professionals all falling apart, they measured either too big or too small as I was told we need to have an 1/8th gap between doors and we have none! They butt up to each other. The lazy Susan doors too big so they clank against the wood on the side and chip. You can't even call it wood! I have been informed it is particle board. Really?! This was an insurance claim where we were givin money to replace high quality Bamboo cabinets and I didn't receive near the quality I should have! Just be on guard if you hire them. The CEO was completely unprofessional with me when I called to complain! I have never been so disrespected by a CEO of a company. read more

ATI were referred to us by our insurance company after a water pipe burst in our slab and flooded our ground floor. The demolition and dry out crew were fast, clean, professional and courteous. ATI came out after some flooding occurred in my home. I did not request ATI. They were contacted by my home insurance company. When they arrive we informed them that we would not be paying for anything outside of what is covered by my home insurance policy. They assured us that it was all covered. A month later we get a bill for $700. They claim that this was for a dehumidifier service. We made multiple attempts to settle the matter with both our homeowners insurance and with ATI. Every time we speak with someone about the matter they state that they do not know who we spoke with In our home and will be looking into the matter. We never get a call from them despite their promise of a callback. Now I get a letter that states that they are going to send me to collections in 10 days unless the balance is paid in full. Also, they were supposed to return to remove the tarp from my home which they did, by pushing to the side of the house left the sandbags and wadded up tarp on my ceiling. This company not only represents the worst of all service professionals they are predatory and derive their profits from exploding those that are in a difficult situation such as their house being flooded. Do yourself a favor and never allow them into your home. They will take you for all every penny they think they can get out of you and leave you with a mess to clean up. read more

I am writing this review 1.5 years after ATI performed a job at my house. In 10/2019 I had a leak in my kitchen, and had a massive damage in the lower cabinets. We got a recommendation for ATI and I was very nervous because they had bad reviews on Yelp. From the first call to the end, and through the entire process, I couldn't be happier with the service and labor I got! All the people working were kind, service oriented and knowledgeable. They kept me updated all the times via calls, texts and emails. I had a case manager who mad sure I'm informed and happy, and answered all my concerns. They worked with my schedule and when I could be present. Never got a bill I shouldn't have. They helped me with the estimate and communication with my insurance. We are in the midst of the same issues that Barbara listed out below in her review. As with her, we were referred to ATI via our insurance company after a plumbing leak in our house. We decided to go with them because they told us that they could do everything, including rebuild our cabinets in-house. (Flooring would be subbed out) It took 1 week for their initial project quote. We found issues with the quote involving missing scope that we clearly and plainly discussed with the Project Director (Tanner) that came out. Because of this, it took an additional 3 WEEKS (!) to get an updated quote that included the necessary scope. Mind you, our house was already remediated by another company so we had bare concrete and a non-functioning kitchen with our 3.5yo toddler running around. Once the scope was accepted, by all parties, it was 2.5 weeks before the first person was on site to do work. Our PM, Thomas, has been great though we wish we had more proactive communication from him. After the first day of work, we reviewed and noticed that one worker did a great job and the other half-assed. We told Thomas and he was out the next day and stopped work. It took another week for people to become available to complete the work properly. During this time, we have done the legwork to get our own flooring samples as the flooring sub-contractor couldn't get samples into their hands after more than 2 weeks. We submitted the samples and installation requests to both the sub and ATI. It took the sub and ATI 2 weeks to talk about the costs between themselves. During this time, both would say to talk to the other if we followed up. ATI just returned with a quote that has the cost SIGNIFICANTLY higher than MSRP for the materials selected. ATIs reasoning is that they insure the floor even though they wouldn't install it or fix it should there be an issue. We are now taking this all back to our insurance and may certainly be severing our contract with ATI if things continue as they are as this sounds like this is how they are when insurance is involved. read more

I am so honored and glad to have had the referral from my insurance company for these guys to do the work. Awesome communication every step of the way. Apart from the personal ordeal of the flood event actually happening - the guys were such a joy to have in my home. Very trustworthy. I didn't have to worry about a thing. Came in and figured out what needed to be done. Got it approved by insurance and took care of all the paperwork. The job was completed so efficiently - and much quicker than I thought it would be! ATI has managed two significant projects for our home. 1st project - February 2016 - Fire and smoke damage restoration and remodel. Overall work included fireplace and mantel cleaning; attic inspection, cleaning, smoke sealing and new insulation; paint for walls, ceilings (with a small drywall repair), doors, trim, and closets for entire home; new flooring and carpeting for entire home; new install of a ceiling fan; replacement of window coverings, electrical receptacles/switches, wall ac-unit (with new framing) and lighting fixtures (two with either a wall or ceiling relocation/repair); and two restroom remodels that included some demo and drywall fill-in work, new shower/bath units/enclosures (with raised wall height adjustment), toilet, vanity (with new sink, drain, angle stops), light fixtures, mirrors, and exhaust vent fans. Team included Mike C (lead), Adam O (lead), Frank, Justin, Aaron, Anthony, and others whom I'm failing to mention. This review is long overdue so their positions and teams may be slightly different by now. We were impressed and pleased with every aspect of the experience, from the quality of the work to the communication, coordination and juggling of jobs and crew, care in selection of materials and finishes, sourcing an appliance that was a challenging find, completion and turnaround times, and finally, the meticulous change order /material selection sheet/ and final inspection/ COS (completion form) processes and detailed estimates and billing. They seem to have a protocol for everything. There is a learning curve for any homeowner in understanding the work involved, and the team educated us along the way. We were able to have piece-of-mind while giving the crews space to work, knowing that everything was always being taken care of, in progress, or followed up on. We were able to trust that if there were any questions or if action was needed on our part, we would get an email and call as necessary. They demonstrated and invited an open-door policy with communication from the start in every interaction. We were frequently told who was working on which job for the day and when Mike C would be checking over the status of the jobs in person. Mike C makes nice design decisions and is good with aesthetics so everything sourced and suggested took into consideration the look we desired. We were always given a second option as well. ATI even created a drawing of their own for a custom-built bathroom vanity with thoughtfully done construction and material (to fit a smaller restroom with a unique space) as a backup option. Suggestions and guidance for homeowner-covered upgrades were reasonable and wise, considering cost mitigation where it made sense, and long-term energy savings, our likes, and comfort of the home. For example, in choosing a quality attic insulation, and opting to have the popcorn ceilings painted (that was flawlessly done) rather than removal which may have been expensive and possibly involved asbestos consideration. Another review mentioned the texture of a paint job in a negative way, but we really loved the uniform texture throughout whereas a much smoother finish would've shown and made flaws stand out more easily...it was a good decision in the type of application. It also cleans well and feels like a more modern and non-bland finish. So don't let that review concern you because paint finishes can always be discussed beforehand so that the manager can keep a closer eye on the job. Bottomline, ATI was able to manage the project with their expertise and network, like no homeowner would be capable of doing. Every homeowner should consider taking advantage of this, if the opportunity presents. (As just managing a project, keeping track of a budget or pricing out things, coordinating all repairs and workers, and the design aspects make up a huge job in themselves, without even including the supervision of the actual work being carried out on a job. This is time consuming behind-the-scenes work that keeps things on target and the project moving along. It seems to be under-appreciated. It's not really something just any homeowner can do effectively on their own.) *Also important to note, is that ATI took over the project from another restoration company that I won't identify, that had totally failed us. The previous company created a mess of the project and site, and entirely new problems with horrible unapproved work that had to be undone and demo'd by ATI. We had solicited one other company who refused to take over the project "mid-way" due to either a reluctance to clean up another company's mess or due to what turned out to be an unmerited concern about getting insurance approval to switch contractors...who knows. But ATI didn't let any perceived challenges deter them in accepting our job as a new contractor and ATI saved us in that respect, resolving everything and giving us a clean slate and new outlook on the project. read more

Strong winds last weekend broke 5 very large glass panels from our backyard fence, sending shattered glass across our lawn and back patio. We came home to glass everywhere and our 2 dogs gone! Luckily we found the dogs down in the canyon and they were OK. I had to pen them up in the backyard using temporary fence until things were fixed. I wanted to write and say thank you to the ATI team for the outstanding job they did at our house. I thought that glass cleanup would take forever and your guys did it in 2 short trips. I also want to commend the carpenter you brought in to board up the broken fence. The dogs were visibly stressed out after a week of being cooped up in that little pen and seeing them run around freely today was great. Job well done guys!! ATI did restoration was very happy with repairs but, approximately $1200 of work was not performed so sat down with project manager to review work order and re adjust the amount I owed them. About 3 months go by and I get an e-mail requesting payment, I e-mailed back requesting how much I actually owed them, they said they would get back to me. 5 months after repairs were made I get a bill in mail for the original amount and it's stamped in red in Past Due! Great experience all around. Rudy Justin Michele Martin Luis and others all did a superior job. Dealing with an awful Solar Company that caused the leak ATI helped remind me that there are still solid companies and people out there. Everything related to COVID was done well. Having 3 little kids in the home the whole time wasn't easy but they made it very manageable. Highly recommend. read more
