Always AMAZING. Chef Joe and his wife, Che make you feel like your family. As for the food!!!! Where else are you going to get smoked Brisket and ribs, done on site, and served to perfection. Joe's love of southern food is one thing but his love of music takes being there to another level. We maybe losing the Rhythm Room, but the music won't die, as long as we have Joe and Che. Don't think about just GO, to AZ BBQ SHACK.

They have wonderful live music! A 6-foot grand Piano And great sound system for the musicians that perform there!

Great owners, great food, live music, Not to be missed the barbecue is off the chain!

Az BBQ Shack has some YUMMY! YUMMY!, Soul Food & when you taste it, you feel the LOVE that went into preparing it, as well as the good vibes & energy you feel the moment you walk through the front door. Great family owned business!!! The service reminds me of a Sunday dinner with friends/family & service is served with a smile, friendly conversation & kindness. There is indoor/outdoor seating, plenty of parking as it sits in a big shopping center & they offer karaoke nights of singing & bring your instruments along & play.Great location & always something special going on throughout the week. They offer catering, lunch, dinner, private events & if you're looking for somewhere to have a business meeting, family gathering, date night, family reunion location, bible/prayer study or somewhere to take the family out for bbq & fun, Az BBQ Shack is the place. The owners Chef Joe & Chef Shay are always there in the kitchen & greeting customers. There is a bar to sit at if you want to pop in to watch the game & they do serve alcohol, wine, etc...I highly suggest you pop in & enjoy some good eating :)

Pastrami is a fat delivery system. That is the entire point of the cut, the cure, the smoke, and…read morethe steam. Whoever built this sandwich decided fat was a liability, trimmed the brisket down to something you'd find in a hospital cafeteria, and then served it anyway. What arrived was a stack of lean, gray-edged slices with no give and no moisture whatsoever. You could hear it more than taste it. Chewing produced no juice, no render, nothing. It just sat there getting smaller. I am not exaggerating when I say you would need a glass of water on the table to dunk it in, and even then I'm not confident it would go down. Then the rye. Somebody griddled it in butter, which coats the crumb in dairy and flattens the caraway into nothing. Rye for pastrami gets a light toast at most, and that's if it needs anything at all. Butter turns it into a grilled cheese chassis with the cheese removed. On a pastrami sandwich it's a category error. My people spent two thousand years perfecting this sandwich. Somebody in that kitchen reverse-engineered it back into jerky on a sponge. There are delis in New York that would treat this as a personal provocation. I've eaten the correct version of this sandwich. It comes carved by hand, on untoasted rye, with enough fat to shorten a life. That's the deal. You give up a few years and you get something worth eating. What this place serves takes the years and gives nothing back. Two dollars less and it's a bad lunch. At this price it's contempt. The coleslaw does not save it. One star, and that's for the plate.

At this one, the mural is awesome -- it pays homage to vehicles from past television shows. (See how many you recognize! I laughed pretty hard at Thomas the Tank Engine since I watched that with my kids.) I am on a quest to try every sandwich from the Cheba Hut menu and I have worked my way through most of the main menu. I am mostly finishing up the vegetarian section before hitting the grilled cheese. (Peanut butter and honey on wheat is great, BTW!) I mention this because there is a "Secret Stash" menu and this shop features the "Bikini Bottom." When I ordered it, the cashier got excited because, "nobody orders that one!" Apparently, I am that guy. The Bikini Bottom: cream cheese, turkey, onions, pineapple, strawberry jelly, provolone, and bacon. I had it on the Parmesan herb bread with the jalapeño cream cheese option and it was quite tasty. I don't know what is wrong with people :D It is too bad that this location is so far from where I live, but it is nice to know that it is here for when I am far from home and need a "toasted" sandwich. Oh, don't forget the Kool-Aid! (Grape, Blue and Red)

Also know that sandwiches are baked in their "dirty sauce" which i think is some kind of Mayo sauce. I usually ask for light dirty sauce because the dirty sauce can make it feel very heavy and be a little much. This is now the second time within a week they couldn't get my order out in less than 40 minutes. It was not as if the were slammed and had a huge line. I ordered on line because I have learned that if you order in person you will set and wait a long long time. I now order online wait 15 minutes and the drive the about 5 minutes to the store. Usually my order is ready a few minutes after I get there (still a long time for a sandwich but they are really good). The last two times I followed my usual process, order wait 15 minutes then drive over, but these 2 times it was another 30 plus minutes of waiting. I am on my lunch break I can't spend that kind of time no matter how delicious the sandwich is. Two tips one for the owner one for customers Owner: try to hire people who don't come to work high. Sandwiches might get made much faster that way Customers: Order about an hour a head of time.

This is what a true family business is all about…read more Casella's has been here since 1977, started by Joe and Tina Casella, and 49 years later their daughter Denise is still carrying on what her family built. I happened to show up about 30 minutes before they opened after finding the place online. Denise saw me poking around outside and actually let me in early, and I'm really glad she did. I ordered the cold cut trio, which was fantastic, but the experience became so much more than just grabbing a sandwich. Denise started giving me tastes of some of the things they make in-house while I was putting together food to take with me. The chicken salad was incredible, the pickled vegetables were excellent, and everything had that homemade quality you just don't find very often anymore. What really makes this place special, though, is the story and the people behind it. Denise has basically grown up in this deli, and you can feel nearly five decades of family history the minute you walk through the door. Nothing corporate about it -- just a great old-school neighborhood deli, great food, and a family that genuinely cares about what they're doing. Places like this are becoming harder and harder to find. Five stars all day. Highly, highly recommend Casella's. And if you get the chance to meet Denise, even better.

With nearly 50 years in business, I really wanted to experience this family-run establishment -- and it didn't disappoint. Denise Casella, the current owner, was a pleasure to talk with, sharing stories and her parents' vision for the deli. You could feel the history in the room, especially watching longtime customers come in -- some who have been visiting for over 20 years. Tried the cheesesteak -- simple and satisfying, and very much in line with the deli's old-school charm. Overall, a great spot to step into a piece of local history and absolutely worth a visit.
