We had our ducts cleaned in 2018, so I knew they were not particularly dirty, but after a minor pest situation we wanted them re-cleaned. I was not happy with the quality of service by our former duct cleaning company, so I looked found generally excellent reviews of ADC. Based on my experience, they are true - ADC is a top-notch company and really went beyond in our case. We have an older house with a bizarre HVAC setup, so to ensure that ADC could clean our ducts Gary came out to view the setup, no charge. When we thought the pest issue was back, ADC had no trouble rescheduling our appointment two days beforehand (also without penalty). Finally, on the day of the service Erick and Rene worked diligently and thoroughly, taking care to abide by guidelines due to the pandemic. We also paid to have the system disinfected with Benefect Botanical Decon 30, which as promised left only a pleasant smell for a few hours and no residue on any surfaces. Given the setup of our HVAC system, I believe ADC did the best job possible. When it's time to clean again, we'll hire ADC. read more

I used this service at the recommendation of a local HVAC company. I live in an old rowhouse on Cap Hill and my duct work....leaves a lot to be desired. I knew I had to address the duct work before doing any HVAC work, which is why I used this company. I had my ducts sealed with the AeroSeal process, and my dryer vent cleaned. The issue in my house is that the upstairs is just not comfortable - the downstairs is fine, but the upstairs is not. I waited a week before leaving the review, to make an honest assessment based on DC heat and humidity. It is night and day. My upstairs is *cold* - I can feel the cold air coming out of the vents. As far as HVAC solutions go, this was an efficient (far less expensive than a new system) route for me. I was told I was losing 455 units (of what, I can't quite remember, only that it was out of 1000). Now I am losing 28. Huge difference! I was skeptical that it would work, but I was wrong. After reading reviews for Atlantic Duct Cleaning, I called and scheduled for duct cleaning. Tanya was most helpful in the scheduling process. On June 4, 2015 Nelson and Jose came at the appointed time. They were informative and professional. Booties were used and tarps were laid where they needed to go. A large vacuum was brought into the house, and force air with a rooter was used to clear any dust, debris that were in the ducts. Nelson explained the process as work was carried out. He took the time to answer our questions and to point out the "before and after" of the ducts as they were cleaned. Since we have replaced our ducts for the dryer only months ago, we asked if that required cleaning as well. We all took a look and decided the dryer duct did not require cleaning at this time. We are satisfied with the work and will not hesitate to call them again should our air ducts and dryer duct need cleaning in the future. Thank you for a job done well. read more

Had my ducts cleaned by them and it went very well! They were very considerate of my white carpet wearing shoe protectors I provided them and were very courteous explaining everything they were doing. They showed me the dirt that their new huge vacuum captured and it was a LOT since I haven't cleaned the ducts since they were installed 14 years ago...it basically looked like crumbled lint that you would get out of your dryer combined with pieces of bugs and cat hair. So glad I will not be breathing that anymore! I was worried that maybe there would be tons of dust in the air when they were doing it but it was about the same as when you vacuum. I just ran an air cleaner near where they put the vacuum just in case. Anyhow I am very happy and the holes they cut in your ducts look professional and were sealed very nicely. Also they used an air whip to blow the dirt towards the huge vacuum at the other end. You can tell they took pride in their work. A+! read more

Why: My wife made an appointment after we did one of those "special online savings website" deals with some fly-by-night company that went up-up- up selling away. So we walked away with a dryer cleaning rather than a while house duct cleaning. My wife did her research and scheduled Atlantic Duct Cleaning. The time frame was 2-4 pm and she asked for a call when they were on their way so she could leave work and meet them at the house. THEY ACTUALLY DID IT! They called 30 minutes prior, showed up at 2 and did a quick introduction of our dirty ducts. 2 hours later they were done, did the whole house, gave helpful tips on filtration and left leaving us feel better then when they arrived. THE HOUSE ACTUALLY SMELLED CLEANER LATER THAT NIGHT! Would call them again in a heartbeat! read more

Bottom line, I cannot recommend highly enough this company and their services. Alfonso and his crew arrived promptly as scheduled in the morning and set to work straight away. They were courteous, professional, knowledgeable, and ingenuitive. They kept me updated throughout the process, even when this 100+ year old house threw some wild curve balls that kept them working far later than they had planned. I knew my ducts were horrible and I was losing tons of energy through them. Alfonso and his team plowed through mounds of dirt, construction materials, insulation, and even SOCKS from the 1960s in my ductwork, cleaning them spotless and achieving a 96% improvement in efficiency! Update: My below review still occurred but I had to update the review since the owner called AND came out to check the work and make it right. Companies make mistakes and they stand behind what they do. The apology was sincere and happy with the corrected work. Poor customer service and bad workmanship. I gave them a chance to respond to my dented floor but nothing. I came home to find the cover they put back up after servicing had fallen out, debris all over the floor and a dent/hole in my recently refinished hardwood floors. I response from them? nothing. So I guess another example of "We have your money. too bad!" So if you would LIKE crappy service and lousy customer service and damaged properties, by all means, use these guys. I suspect you'll want to take your business elsewhere. read more

Atlantic duct cleaning came to my home in Washington DC. They came to get rid of the mold in my HVAC system. They did it in many units. Sadly the person working did not follow DC law and did not use air scrubbers in our home. The man actually left the chemical in HVAC system with no direction and I got sick and had to go to the ER. I have documentation from the ER to prove it. Many other tenants were ill as well. How could this be a proper mold remediation company if they don't know to use air scrubbers to kill the mold that's in the unit that will land on surfaces including furniture etc?!!? I guess I should report them to the BBB If I don't hear back about this?! Based on the fact that they didn't follow DC compliancy I have to give them one star. This is beyond negligence read more

I found Atlantic Duct Cleaning on Yelp and they had great reviews. I called and quickly set up an appointment for a dryer vent cleaning. I was told to expect the technicians at 11am and Ricky and Jose showed up right at 11am. They wore masks and were respectful of social distancing. They were friendly and explained the process. It took only about 30 minutes and they quickly cleaned the vent including showing me before and after pictures. They cleaned up completely before they left. The techs, Yael and Moises, showed up right on time and were courteous and professional. A lot of Groupon's offers, but after one company didn't show up for three times and reading all the reviews I realize it's all big scam. Guys from Atlantic came on time, explain me all the work they will do, put down cloth to cover my floor. They did not try to scary me or try to sell some additional service, they just did their job. Company does not care about the noise made by their truck. Person using same alley ordered the service & the noise is so loud I can hear it in my house... and I don't even live in their complex! When I called, the customer service person said that the location was best for them, even though there were many spaces open on a public street. Very polite, personable team of Jose#3, James and Nick. They were very careful moving furniture out from in front of ducts and taping vents off. Worked steadily and completed job in two hours (whole house duct cleaning plus dryer vent cleaning.) Cleaned existing filters and verified that they were the correct filters to use for our system. Recommended repeat cleaning in 5-7 years. I expect my allergies to be less of an issue now! read more
