WOW WOW JUST WOW! We invited and took four of our close friends to Atlantic Manor last Friday night and oh my God what an amazing experience The hot bread came out and was delicious. The soup was incredible which comes with your entrée service was amazing and everyone raved about their food. We will be back If you've never gone, you really should try the Atlantic Manor in Ogdensburg

Came here to try with a friend who had just moved to the area. We had reservations made which I would recommend on the weekends as the parking lot was packed. We arrived and waited maybe 5-10 minutes at the hostess stand waiting to be seated. Once seated our server took our drink menu and appetizer order right away. It had been some time and we noticed our table had not been brought bread. We had to ask a different server to bring us bread as our original server had seem to have vanished. We ordered the rodizio which we were all very excited for and two kid entrees. Normally any restaurant brings out the children's food prior to the rest of the meal as children get restless. Both the kids entrees were terrible the pasta was still hard and the sauce was super water downed. The chicken fingers and fries definitely were frozen and then fried, and has no seasoning or flavor to them. We waited maybe 45minutes to an hour before we addressed our server after our soup and appetizer were brought out asking what time we would be eating as two tables who came in after us had already eaten and received their checks. The servers then frantically made our food and brought it out but we're a tad bit rude, not sure why as our order was literally never put it. The food once it finally came out was good but nothing great for a rodizio. I'm not sure if this is a common experience, because our server seemed newish, or what the case was but it was enough to make me not want to even give them a second chance. No manager ever came out to apologize for our huge delay in eating.

    Rodizo sides and first course

Saw many high and low reviews, so adding in my 2 cents. We each ordered rodizo, which started with a white bean potato carrot soup, which was good. Rolls were harder than my personal preference but fine. Red sangria pitcher was large size and was good. They do put a 1.5L water bottle on table, which in reading others reviews I know I will be charged 5, but given it's cold and large, that's OK. I didn't try to ask for tap, as was ok with bottled water. Rodizo came quickly once we finished the soup. Chicken was a touch crispy/dry, but pork loin was fine. Top sirloin was well, I prefer med rare. Beef rib I had to cheat and pick it up to eat it. Cinnamon pineapple desert was great. What was outstanding was the service/attention, better than many restaurants I have been to. My guess is not alot of people ordered rodizo so the meat served to us was on/near the fire longer than ideal. It was a little warm in a restaurant, but we were sitting right next to the chef glass to watch them cook. They did have a portable fan to move air. People next to us got some amazing looking dishes, maybe we will try those next time. In honesty, creating a rating was hard, the meat was for the most part overcooked, but service was great.... would be 4 or more stars if meat was better.

Our party of 6 enjoyed drinks, appetizers and entrées. Bacon wrapped scallops where good quantity and quality. Mixed sampler had garlic shrimp, chorizo, stuffed mushrooms and clams casino. Garlicky good! I had seafood Mariscada in Green sauce with side off yellow rice. My husband had Radizzio serving of grilled meats with sides of rice, french fries, collards and black beans. Service was great and restaurants had a nice decor.

There was the option for Rodizio (endless table side meat with the buffet as well) or Boardwalk which is just the buffet. We chose to do the Rodizio all 3 of us. The buffet, was underwhelming. As a positive I will say each item we grabbed from the buffet was absolutely delicious, the correct temperature, and FRESH! They refill their boardwalk bar constantly. The buffet just didn't have many options. There were 2 tables basically side by side. One hot side where there was garlic broccoli, brown sugar carrots, mac and cheese, beans, rice, mash potatoes, and sweet potatoes, shrimp (which my wife adored) etc. In the middle a very amazing yucca stew. Then cold side had regular salad bar options, tomatoes, cheeses, lettuce, dressing, potato salad, pesto pasta, etc. Maybe if we went with the boardwalk option which was $39 something we would have been fully satisfied. However we did pay $70 each for the Rodizio. There were 13 meats, we were there for 2 hours and didn't try all the meats. The meats came pretty slowly with big breaks in between and some cuts of meat went right by us over and over. As well my husband and I requested medium rare, and consistently were offered well done or very well done meat. As well some of the meat was under seasoned in some cases. Some of the meat when it was actually medium rare was absolutely phenomenal, like the lamb with rosemary was all of our favorite. Again to some positives, the owner was very involved, walking around and asking everyone how they were, the entire staff was friendly. The tables were cute with candles in the middle, and the atmosphere was cozy. The place isn't very big so as more people fill in it gets a bit loud and hard to hear your gaucho say what meat they are offering, but they kindly repeated for me over and over despite my terrible hearing. The drinks seem to be amazing, we tried both sangrias white and red, and then got a pitcher we ended up taking most of home (yes they let you!). Which I thought was awesome, and the sangria is to die for! Like I said the meat was slow and inconsistent, but worse was our server, which I will not name because she was a teen and maybe this is her first job, but she consistently walked past us without checking in. Finally we flagged her down to beg for a water refill, and she refilled half the rooms water and stood talking in the kitchen for a bit, before getting us any. Now lastly to dessert. I got the liquor chocolate cake, it was delicious, but in my opinion quite small, though admittedly I'm a fat girl, so I like a good size dessert. My wife also got a dessert, the flan, she also complained it was small. They also only put like 3 strawberries on each which was disappointing because it enhanced the flavor a lot. All in all, it's a fun experience. 10/10 for kindness and vibes. 9/10 for the quality of the buffet. 7/10 for buffet variety 5 or less really, for actual service. Our bill was for three rodizios, two desserts, one beer, one glass white sangria, one glass red sangria, and a pitcher of white sangria. Mind you it was a Tuesday and they do sales of almost half price on sangria by the glass and pitcher. Our bill came out to about $308. I don't feel our experience met expectations. When we go out for anniversaries we drop $300 or more without thought and a good tip, (special occasions we go all out). So we considered if we liked this place coming back for our anniversary, but I wouldn't bother. I left a small tip for the lack of service, and would never go back. I still would recommend it to others if they have patience, maybe speak up more than I did about meat preference, and just want the experience. Go and see for yourself, but just keep in mind to be vocal about preferences, and ready to wait.

We opt to sit outside in the tent!! Even it was a little chilly, but their heat lamp made it very cosy.. Service is ok.. I think he was a bit disappointed when we didn't order anything to drink.. but anyway.. the food was great.. we ordered the Portuguese style steak, lamb porterhouse, chillian seabass, and roasted suckling pig.. the sauce in the steak is great!! It's nice to have a fried egg on top and don't think that the chip will be soggy afterward, mix it with the sauce and it was delicious!! Suckling pig is the best (in my opinion), the skin is crispy, and the meat is tender.. lamb porterhouse is ok, nothing too special, and the seabass is good... I mean it's hard to mess it up right?? We also ordered 2 desserts : flan and bolo de bolacha (almost like a tiramisu, but instead of lady finger, it's cookie, and chocolate syrup).. they were both good... I did ask the server about nut since my son is allergic to nuts, he said there's no nut, but when it come I saw walnut on top, I asked again and he still say it has no nut!!! Oh well... it definitely has walnut on top... my son just need to skip this one... but overall, it's a nice meal for sure!!! Oh also.. when you order water, they give you bottle water!! Just in case you want to know... it's almost $8 for it... lol

We were able to make a reservation, and the restaurant was kind enough to extend our reservation when we were delayed -- especially on one of their busiest nights of the week. Maria was exceptionally nice and helpful in making reservations. Food was delicious and enjoyable throughout all the courses. The Picanha and Beef Short Ribs were my favorites of the Rodizio. My parents split a steak entree and the salmon - the restaurant was kind enough to split both entrees on two plates for each of them. Both servings were generous. Had an Old Fashioned and a Caipirinha - both were excellent. They also have an extensive wine and whiskey menu. Service was pretty good. I would say the only hiccup was the food took forever to come, which seems strange for Rodizio. But I attribute the delay to the tardiness of two folks in our party, and a little inexperience of our server. But aside from that, he did a good job. We got to meet the manager Tatiana, who was fabulous - you can tell she cares about her craft, and the owner Joe, who was exceptionally kind and friendly. My niece and his son apparently went to the same school, so it was truly nice to make the acquaintance. I love to support small business, and it doesn't get better than this. I will make sure to stop here again soon - this was a fantastic experience.
