Being new to the area we are trying out new restaurants. This is our second visit to Giuseppe's. Yes, the portions are large but the food is mediocre to say the least. When we arrive tonight there were only two other tables of two. It took our waitress nearly 5 minutes to get to us. She took our order and only stopped one other time to see how everything was. As other couples arrived, they were obviously friends of the waitress and she stood and spoke with each table for several minutes. We try to ask another woman who was working there for something but she walked right past us. We were trying to get more bread but that never happened as no one ever returned to the table. We then asked for our check and it took another 10 minutes before the waitress brought the check over. Again, the place was not crowded. At this point there were five tables of two. If she had not taken so long talking personal business with each one of the tables, we may have gotten better service. I definitely don't recommend this place unless you're a friend of the owner or the waitress because if you're not service sucks. read more

This was my first time at Guiseppe's Restaurante. It was a Saturday at 1pm. It was easy to find but there was no fancy signage for the entrance so I gingerly opened the door, just in case I was wrong. I ordered the Capellini Bouscamarri and enjoyed my meal while listening to a jazz rendition of "I Heard It Through The Grapevine." I was presented with a basket of warm bread, then a meal sized salad followed by my meal. It had a feeling of bringing out buffet items because it was just so much food. I was able to eat the salad and half of the main dish. The host, waiter, server, busboy and janitor (all one person) was great. He wore several hats well. read more

I have to say I know it's NYE and I'm sure your busy but don't answer the phone, tell me to hold, not put me on mute and all I hear is your workers arguing and cursing up a storm at one another. Not to mention after 8 minutes of waiting for someone to get back on the phone I decided to hangup and when I called back multiple times they either left the phone on or disconnected it. All you had to do is say sorry we are not taking any takeout orders tonight. Pretty damn rude especially as a frequent flyer and always recommending the place. Love this place through and through! We have come for a few times just for dinner. This month, we chose Giuseppe's for a repass with an estimated 30 people. At least 50 showed up, and the entire team moved flawlessly to accommodate our group bringing tables and chairs without any hesitation. They even sent us home with trays of food we were able to feed out of town guests all week. The food is incredible just like my grandma would make, and the service feels like family. This place is a staple for us and we are so glad they're in town. read more

I would give 5 stars but the eggplant rolitini was sour , not sure if it was the sauce or cheese. Then there were flying all over the place. The waiter was killing them and we were too. This place is amazing to eat at the food is out of this world good their chicken parm is phenomenal. The environment of the restaurant is terrific with a very relaxing quiet music playing in the background and a very clean dining room. The service is also amazing with quick servers but even more importantly nice and friendly waiters and waitresses. The food can be a bit long but it is definitely worth it. The only complaint would be is the dining area is just way too small to fit so many tables. The cramming of tables to fit more quests can take an away from the relaxing setting in the restaurant, but besides that I will definitely continue to come and share this place with my friends and family!! read more

My friends and I don't live in the area, but we stopped here after a day of snow tubing at Mountain Creek Resort. We were starving and had no idea what to expect (aka no expectations). We were pleasantly surprised! The food was delicious and the portions are HUGE - seriously, the meals could easily be 3-4 portions for an adult. While the inside is pretty sparingly decorated, I liked how all the tables were really spaced out (they do a good job following covid guidelines). The two female servers were very nice and attentive. This place is truly a "hidden gem"- if you live nearby or are ever in the area, definitely give this place a visit! read more

Came here for an anniversary celebration ruined by this choice of restaurant. In a word: yuk. Bad food, dreary decor, and horrible, inattentive service (well staffed with young women more interested in socializing with an apparent VIP guest couple). The big excuse seemed to be that one of the cooks was out. Really one of the worst dining experiences we have had in a very long time. Oh yeah - portions are huge - so what? Preordered 3 dinners and 3 appetizers for Christmas Eve...told 5 pm pick up. It was a complete circus when we arrived on time. Did not ask for name or phone number. Asked what I ordered. Huh. Ok? Gave it. As did every person that walked in for their pickup. No semblance of order. Young lady asking the questions has serious personality disorders. After waiting for 65 minutes and when I repeatedly asked "how much longer"...I was asked what I ordered 3 or 4 more times. Complete Lunacy. Finally left. We have been coming here for over 20 years and I was shocked to see negative reviews. The food is always excellent and plentiful. Service has been efficient and courteous. China and glassware are always spotless. The room is attractive and the tables are set with white tablecloths. Prices are more than reasonable (our NYC friends are astounded by the quality and low prices). I have only used take-out once and that was for New Year's Eve. Absolutely no glitches. Joe, the owner always greets us as welcomed guests (when he can get out of the kitchen) and his wife, a lovely person, is usually our server. We eat out fairly often and have traveled the world but I always enjoy an evening at Guisseppe's. This is the place for Italian and Mediterranean food! Remember to BYOB. read more

We scheduled a surprise party for 20 people at Guiseppe's. When guests started arriving, the manager/waiter said he had no reservation for a party but told us to come in and would do his best to accommodate us. He claimed the person who made the mistake would "be fired." The food was all good, except my broiled Chilean Sea Bass was breaded and fried, not broiled as the menu said. There were also a couple of other minor issues with the food. The next day I called to speak with Guiseppe to ask hi what happened. A man who identified himself as the manager called me a liar for saying they did not know there was a reservation for a party. Then he said to me, "Don't bother e please, lady," and he hung up on me. I called back and he picked up and hung up again, The third and fourth times I called back he did not even answer the phone. A week later I called from a different phone and was told Guiseppe was not there. I said I would call ack. Thirty seconds later the phone rang and the person identified himself as "Guiseppe." I said this doesn't sound like Guiseppe and he asked me "What does Guiseppe sound like?" At that point I knew I was not speaking with Guiseppe so I didn't even bother. I have been wondering if it is under new ownership and they are just not telling anyone? If Guiseppe did, indeed sell, I won't be going back there for such treatment. read more

My husband was there for a work party last night. He said food was decent but there was an issue when the owner/chef came out of the kitchen after there was some sort of mix up over the food. The chef created a very unprofessional, volatile scene that was not only embarrassing to my husband's colleagues but was also an embarrassment for the entire restaurant. The chef was extremely aggressive in his manner. Based on my husband's experience he would not recommend this restaurant to anyone! read more

Went here for a family party, and I have to say there was very little that made me what to ever come back. decor: The place seems run down and due for a remodel, there where nails sticking out of the walls and the chair I sat in felt like it was about the fall over. Cleanliness: One of the first things I noticed when I sat down was that the bottom of the plate had dried up chocolate cake underneath it. If they don't clean the plates it makes me wonder what else they don't clean. Food: The food itself was inconsistent and tasted old. We had penne vodka served family style and between the two dishes, there was a drastic difference. One was overcooked while one was undercooked and one the sauce tasted good and the other sauce was bland. The chicken tasted like it has been sitting at the bottom of a freezer for quite some time and was very dry and tough and the ricotta in the ravioli and eggplant was oddly dry. Staff: The staff was nice but service was to be desired, other tables in our party received their main dishes almost an hour before we did. They finished eating while we were just starting and when I asked for tea at the end, after asking twice for it I still never received it. Overall: I do not know how their normal dinner services are like but if its anything like how they do parties I would say stay away. read more

First time here and I will never come back again. Made a reservation for 5pm. It is currently 5:30 and we are still waiting in the extremely small "waiting room." I asked what the hold up was at 5:25 and I was told that the people at the table we were waiting for was just about to order dessert. So they didn't even order it yet. It is so backed up now that others who made later reservations are waiting outside in the on and off rain. Also, we are being completely ignored by the staff. F for customer service and F for estimating reservation times. I wonder what the food tastes like. Update: After waiting an hour we left and are now seated at another restaurant. If I could give a ZERO I would. In all my life I have never met someone more RUDE than the "chef" at Guisseppe's who seems to also be "in charge". As someone who has worked in the restaurant industry for over a decade, I would NEVER talk to a customer, let alone any human being the way the "chef" did me when I called to ask a question about my missing tray of food. Not to mention he yelled, blamed me, said he didn't care and hung up without letting me even get a word in, starting with "listen lady" like he has to many other customers. I WISH I was exaggerating. If you look thru reviews here and elsewhere, you will find many others also saying that the man in charge treats the staff and the customers like garbage. I have been told by previous employees that he really is as awful as he seems. Side note; they don't care to take a name or phone number for ANY order, don't care if it's messed up, or if you receive what you paid for. I am absolutely disgusted by the man in charge with anger issues who clearly hates himself and the world. Shame on anyone who supports this business. This man continues to treat people this way and it's disgusting. I feel terribly for the young women working front of house, who were actually polite and sweet, I hope they find a job where they won't be treated like garbage!! Oh my Gosh. The food was excellent. Met some girlfriends for a late lunch. There were only us and another couple who evidently go there all the time. They left with a box of takeout food. We had pasta fagioli, eggplant rotini and fried ravioli to start. Then I had penne al vodka. It was excellent. One friend had cavatelli broccoli and the other had shrimp scallops with vegetables and capalleni in a wine sauce. The portions were so big. I brought home more than half. Unfortunately - not good. The best thing about the meal was the fried calamari - the rest was very disappointing. No seasoning little flavor just bland and the meat tasted old. Went here last month and was blown away about the freshness of the food tonight so disappointment Smoked Salmon appetizer tasted week old, asked for bread got day old stale deli rolls and what I drove 45 min for that was fresh and fantastic last time was the sole franchise they didn't have it and was told the sea bass franchise was comparable It was not Not fresh! Not a great place. Came here for a baptism dinner. No A/C when it was 90 degrees outside just a fan. Servers were nice. I had chicken francese which was okay nothing special. It's very easy to miss. Unassuming place with good Italian food right off 23. My friend Trey wanted to go here because he lives close by, and with the bar next door he could stumble his way home the mile if needed. He was afraid to take me as he thinks I'm the usual Yelp type food snob (he would be right). So, go there, have a couple apps, some chicken parm and pasta and walk out fat and happy. Good quality across the board, fresh ingredients and good service. Can't ask for much more around here. Only mistake is he told his wife their calamari was better than hers. We went to Guisseppe's Restaurant again the other day to celebrate my husbands birthday and as always, it was AWECOME! Brooke was the hostess/server and was so attentive and quick to meet all of our needs. The FOOD IS TOTALLY AWESOME! There are so many great options to consider and all that we ordered was cooked to perfection. Talk about portion size- OMG! We took home a lot of left overs and look forward to enjoying the great dishes again. It is great to have such a nice location in our community and we will be BACK AGAIN! read more

The food was amazing! My soup was probably the best I've ever had. It was a combination of spinach, egg drop soup, tomatoes and cheese. We each had a veal dish, 1Parmigiana and 1Francese. Veal was so tender and a huge portion. In fact every meal on the table was big enough that we all took home a full meal for the next day. Lobster Bisque was awesome with a whole lobster claw in it to boot. They also served a nice Antipasto between apps and entre. Worst place ever! We were at a party for around 50 people. Our entire table did not get our food until about a half hour after the rest of the party. The rest of the party were already packing their leftovers into to go containers. Coffee and dessert was coming out when we just started eating. When we finished our meal, I asked for coffee. I got it about 10 minutes later. I asked for cream instead of milk and they said they would bring it right out. After about 15 minutes it still was never brought out. My coffee was cold at this point, we decided not to wait anymore and left. I will never go here again and wouldn't recommend it to anyone!! read more

We went here to celebrate my son's birthday with family and friends. Food was awful. The sauce tasted burned and one seafood dish tasted bad. When asked for something else in place of the seafood dish, the owner argued with us saying that was what was ordered even though we explained that the seafood tasted bad. We had to push to have the charges removed from the bill and they refused to make another dish in it's place so I had to share my dinner with my friend. At the end of dinner, we asked to speak with owner to express our unhappiness with the service. While speaking with the owner, a bus boy called my friend a b@$*%. We were shocked that the owner just stood there and let this young teenage boy speak to customers in such a way. Classless place, classless people and disgusting food. Save your money. read more

From salad to dessert the portions are huge and food exceptional. Never a wait - we get there early - and the staff are very attentive. The reviews on here are correct about the portion sizes...they were VERY generous. The server brought over some delicious, warm bread to start with. It wasn't a roll or two, it was freshly baked bread. After some lobster bisque for an appetizer (which is a large bowl size, not a cup portion) and a small garden salad that's included with your main entree, I could barely get through my main meal. I had a chicken and pasta dish with shrimp. It was very tasty stuff. Guisseppe's is BYOB so plan ahead if you want wine/alcohol with your dinner. The restaurant is basically one room with tables in it so ambiance isn't the focal point. It's a local spot with a casual vibe. If you're looking for good food, generous portions and decent prices (BYOB helps with the bill), check it out. Dining options in this area are limited so Guisseppe's came through. read more
