Very happy with these folks. We booked and researched a few places. Mark, the manager there, was super helpful in giving us guidance and setting up the appointment. Three gents (I'll try to update with with names later) showed up early. Helped us arrange the truck. Then assessed all we had to move then thoughtfully started the process. It was amazing how they fit so much in the truck with care too. We will use them Again and highly recommend. Not sure about the negative reviews. Some were dated. Sales process: 10/10 Contracts & paperwork: 10/10 Execution: 7/10 Management of expectations: 1/10 We moved from New York to Florida - multiple zoom calls to establish requirements and virtual inventory went well. Contracts were signed stating that movers would arrive on Tuesday to pack and prepare, and then return on Wednesday to load the truck. Timing was everything: we were scheduled to close on our NY property first thing Thursday. On Tuesday midday, we called to find out when the packers would arrive, and were told, "oh, they're not coming today, they will pack and load everything on Wednesday. Don't worry, it's not going to take long to pack, and we can do it all in one day" On Wednesday mid-morning we called again - when is the crew coming? And were told, "They're on their way, they'll be there by 12" Not at 12:00 Not at 1:00 Not at 2:00 Not at 3:00 Not at 4:00 Many phone calls and many lies later, Atlantic suggested, "why don't we just do this tomorrow?" To which we strongly disagreed: the closing was scheduled for 8:30am Thursday and the buyers were not waiting. Finally, at 4:20pm, a moving crew showed up. This was to be their 3rd job of the day, and were on the way back to the depot when they were turned around. 8 hours later - at 12:30am - the fully laden moving truck left. The contract specified a set rate for packing, and a 'by weight' rate for transport. In all the estimate was a little over $10k. The contract stated that the load would be weighed immediately on arriving at the local depot, and the weight and final moving cost reported to us, so that we could make payment in a timely manner so the load could be delivered. The load was to be delivered in Florida within 7-10 days. Daily calls to Atlantic to find out (a) what the final weight was, and (b) where our stuff was, were met with prevarications and feigned ignorance. (Fortunately, and Apple AirTag discretely placed in a box gave constant updates of progress) 10 days later we got a call from the local depot manager in Florida: They had our stuff on a truck ready to deliver, but could not release it as we had not paid for it -- We explained that we had not been presented with a final bill: This resulted in a number of calls between Florida, Atlanta, and Texas all looking for the final weight. In the end it was agreed that if we were to pay the estimate, they would release the shipment, and "when they got the final weight" they would refund any overage. One month later. "We got the weight certificate, and you are underweight from the estimate. Here's an $800 refund" Was anything broken in the move? No. Was anything lost in the move? No. Was every box that was packed at least 50% packing paper? Yes Would we use them again or recommend them? Not on your life! read more

Giving a five star rating just to catch attention. Atlantic Relocation moved my family from Providence RI to Atlanta GA in June 2019. Michael Crump was the manager. Mo Dardy was the mover subcontracted out from a company in Martha's vineyard. Company paid move: about $15k. Took them 4 days (past closing) to pack a 1600 sqft house. Left about $2000 (depreciated value) worth of property behind. (which will never be refunded). I questioned if the assigned 2 guys and a smaller truck would be able to do the job, and Dardy became belligerent to the point of confrontational. Crump was notified of all issues, and he was useless. Probably the most stressful move of our lives. read more

You will not find many people like this that have a genuine concern for you during the stressful time of moving. Atlantic Relocation Systems has moved me 3 times as my company uses them, but since the transfers were on my own, I paid for the moving. Vanessa and Michael at the Atlanta Headquarters really treat people personally and professionally. They even involved the corporate vice-president to make a situation correct, because Assured Relocation (a poor example of an Atlas Van Lines agent) damaged a solid oak roll top desk out of negligence. Vanessa becomes your friend as you move, and you are kept informed while your move is being done. Atlantic Relocation Systems has quite a few offices throughout the United States, and worth using them to take care of all of the details. The Carrollton, Texas office near Dallas is also very thorough at taking care of all of the details! I highly recommend Atlantic Relocation Systems for personal and business moves!! The crew that performed my recent relocation through Atlantic were great individuals and very respectful of my belongings. Nothing was broken but I only had a 100 mile move. However, the drastically overused products like boxes and paper which ended up adding to my already pricey estimate. 3/5. When I escalated my concern for an additional $300 in charges I spoke to the initial salesman who was understanding. He escalated my complaint to the VP and General Manager who reviewed my inventory list. I told him of my concerns of repacking boxes and unpacking and repacking of items for which he lowered extra charges by $200 after numerous back and forth emails. 1/5. I will not be utilizing Atlantic Relocation Systems in the future and feel that the pity excess charges could have been ignored by the GM. Calling over the weekend and leaving a message for lumpers. This Morning we were contacted in regards to needing Lumpers. After speaking with the customer service rep, I was to be transferred to "Mike" however Mike was on another call. After hanging up. The phone rang. We reviewed many companies, and we decided on Atlas Van Lines, which apparently turns out to be Atlantic Relocation Systems. We originally had a 4 bedroom house to move from Atlanta Metro area to Texas. We decided not to send everything with them, which in the end was an incredibly lucky thing. We entrusted our furniture and about 40 garage and book boxes with them, and everything else we would pack in a POD. We should have moved everything in PODs. They claim they will protect your home whilst moving your belongings. This consisted of them putting cardboard and TAPING it with packing tape to the hardwood floors. Floors, which no longer were ours but to the people who had just bought our home. They arrived around 11AM, and were there until 10PM! and this was a SMALL move. They started off in the garage, and wanted to list every single garden implement and item they were going to take, which would have been fine, IF they knew what the items were. A number of times I had to tell them, that isn't a whatever, but a thingy. They listed our very expensive electronic litter box, which was in the original box as a "pet carrier". They use SOOOO much tape, that by the time they got out of the garage, they were almost out of tape. They used what tape we had left from packing the boxes, and my husband had to make a run to Home Depot to buy more tape for them. On the subject of tape, a number of times I had to tell them to take the tape OFF the furniture surfaces. They also stuck sticky labels on the face of wooden furniture. They told us "your belongings will be sectioned off from other peoples' belonging, and there is no way they will get mixed up". They also told us "your TVs will be protected, no chance of them getting damaged". So, we get to the delivery. 1.A coffee table went "MISSING". 2. They had put a number of our pieces on top of someone else's furniture. 3. 2 boxes went "MISSING" 4. Almost EVERY piece of furniture they moved, they either scratched, scraped, dragged it across the floor, broke, split, or lost parts of it. 5. They decided to pack a heavy color laser printer in a box. We did not box it, so it was obvious what it was, and which way up it should go. They obviously dropped and rolled it. There was a wooden 3/4 thick dolley/cart that it sat on. That was split in two, and the printer now looks like it is a hundred years old. Toner is over every single inside part, and the print drum is probably ruined because of all this. They lost a foot off one of our couches, and it is not replaceable. All it would have taken was for them to remove the feet and bag them BEFORE loading the couch. Paint has been removed from furniture because of the tape having been on it. Dented bed side tables, split top to a console table. Chipped the corner of glass fronted cabinets, ripped off push openers from the same cabinet. Damaged corners of another coffee table. Lost a part to the lawnmower, which no longer works. Scratched chairs to my yew wood dining table, which was imported. Dropped a book box, and damaged a number of books. TV unit looks like it was dragged across a concrete floor, the scratched on the side, along with a corner of it being almost snapped off. Almost ripped the back off a buffet/sideboard. Managed to detach part of the frame from a chaise. Scratched the bed frame. Dented metal frames to a coffee table set. These a SOME of the items. Whilst I appreciate there maybe SOME slight marks or scratches, this is a TOTAL lack of care for our belongings. They now say they are sending someone out to REPAIR our items. They can forget that. A good number of our items we have only had 6 months, and were in pristine condition before their people got their hands on them, and I do NOT want patched and FIXED furniture. DO NOT USE this company. We have moved 5 times in ten years, and this is THE worst experience we have encountered. By the way, the POD we sent arrived in great condition. Some teenagers from the school my husband works in came over and emptied a 16x8x8 POD, which was jam packed with boxes and furniture in 2 HOURS. This included very fragile crystal and china. Not one piece was damaged. It is evident, a group of teenage boys can do a better job than these so-called professionals. read more

Chris and Albert were great. They showed up on time and completed their portions of unpacking. The guy that showed up an hour late was not. He left my table wrapped in moving blankets, the bench disassembled, my loveseat in 4 pieces, my end tables in 6 pieces each, my daughter's mattress wrapped in the plastic moving bags and the bed disassembled. He also left boxes of paper in my sons room instead of taking them away as required by the contract. I had to go buy tools to reassemble furniture that shouldn't have been taken apart! If this is the quality of worker this company offers, take your business elsewhere. He can do more harm than 2 good workers combined! read more

My son, his pregnant wife and 2 year old grandson moved their goods and furniture into the "climate controlled" storage facility while they relocated temporarily for 9 months. When the household goods were delivered to their new home, it had MOLD all over everything! The untrained movers and management staff allowed the goods to be moved into the home which infected the home with mold! This then made the house unlivable. Atlantic Relocation Systems' management was so incompetent on how to handle these types of issues. Not only did the goods have mold, some were damaged and some were lost into their secure facility. Plus, it took them a year to settle the damages. DO NOT USE THESE MOVERS YOU WILL REGRET IT! read more

I would give a zero star if I could. I am very unsatisfied with their service. 1. Lost item -- They lost $11,000 worth of my belonging (a name brand office chair and a wardrobe box see below #2). No one seem to care about this and kick me around to file claims. 2. Packing -- My belongings were unprofessionally packed, for example, books were carelessly rolled up and stuffed inside the box to provide cushion for other things. The staff also put items into mislabeled boxes. The lost wardrobe box was packed with clothes, a fan, couch frame, storage box, shelf parts, among other things, which may complicate my insurance claim. 3. Delivery scheduling -- It seems to be hard to schedule a pick up and delivery. They need a two weeks notice and charge extra for weekend delivery. I find this very inconvenient. read more

We hired Atlantic Relocation Systems to move our office. It was a huge mistake. We ended up moving 20% of the office ourselves because they didn't finish it and couldn't get their act together to arrange a time to finish it. The office cubicles they did move and put back together were literally falling apart. They normally have 20 or so screws--many of them had only one screw re-installed. Also, multiple pieces of furniture were damaged. After it was all said and done, they thought their issues only amounted to $350 off a $4100 binding contracted price. Completely uncaring and unprofessional. Their contract is written in a way that the customer has no recourse but to pay. DO NOT do business with this company. You will regret it! read more

They are very careless, they literally don't care about anyone or their belongings. They "locked" our large tool chest and antique cedar chest with a screwdriver, ( to secure them, rather than having to put a strap around them) mangling the locks beyond repair. They locks cannot be replaced or repaired and the company refused to even give us any money for ruining our things. We gave them a list, three pages long, of missing and broken items that they largely ignored. Their own employees witnessed the driver stealing our ladder and dolly, leaving us to move into a new house without the two items we needed the most. They called me a liar when I told them about it and they didn't care that their own employees were helping us chase the truck as it drove away. The driver was called and told us he was not bringing them back. They ruined several pieces of antique furniture, pieces carelessly broken off, heirlooms broken and they don't care. We are missing so many belongings we can only assume they were intentionally stolen like the ladder and dolly. The claims department employee that was assigned to us is a rude woman who has made a point of calling us liars and waiting months to even respond to our claim. If you value your belongings, and your peace of mind, stay away from this company. The reason I gave them any stars at all is for the few nice employees we met. read more

WARNING - NEVER do business with this company! They deserve only the worst possible negative rating. I could write a book about my nightmare experience with Atlantic Relocation Systems ("Atlantic") and what a huge mistake it was to use them for the overseas shipment of my household goods. Given the space limitations for this review, I'll provide only a very brief overview of the bait-and-switch tactics Atlantic used on me. It all began with their salesman - Andy Orlin. He came to my storage unit in Georgia where all the items for overseas shipment were located and visible for his inspection. He made a persuasive sales pitch about Atlantic's alleged great shipping business connections and his personal expertise. Much of what he said turned about to be demonstrably false. But by the time I was able to discover Orlin's many misrepresentations, it was too late to use another shipper as Atlantic had my belongings in their possession. For example, his "expert" estimate and initial contract price for the complete process was 15% lower than the actual amount I was ultimately billed. He also misrepresented the size of the shipping container that Atlantic would use (he said 20' but they apparently used a 40') which lead to me giving away many valuable items and furnishings I would have otherwise kept and included in the shipment. Another huge misrepresentation - Orlin's promised delivery date was off by almost 4 months! But once they have your belongings, there's no turning back - you're stuck with being another victim of Atlantic's deceptive business practices. Very soon after Atlantic took my items, Orlin began a series of excuses about delayed delivery (all due he said to Covid and other transportation issues despite his original assurances that delivery would be completed in approx. 4 weeks and be unaffected by Covid). Orlin also began sending me a number of "updates" in attempt to justify the delays and insisting that I would have to pay even more money, despite my having paid 100% of Atlantic's total price up front as they required. Remember, the price I'd already paid had increased 15% over Orlin's false "estimate" and Atlantic's initial contract. When I challenged Orlin's assertions that I would have to pay Atlantic even more money, Atlantic unilaterally and without any prior notice or authorization charged my credit card (using the card number I provided to pay the entire contract cost up front) an additional approximate 6.5% over the escalated price I'd already paid. After my detailed objections to Atlantic's improper use of my credit card and my threat to sue them on a variety of counts, Atlantic refunded the illegitimate credit card charge. Incredibly, I then received a money demand from Atlantic's delivery subcontractor in the country of final destination (an outfit named Trallero - whom I'd never heard of and with whom I had no contract). Trallero insisted that I pay them directly (per instructions from Orlin) despite Atlantic's written contract that it's charges included door-to-door delivery. Orlin then directed Trallero to stop the delivery of my property until I paid Trallero directly for the fees apparently owed to it by Atlantic. As would be expected, I immediately notified Orlin that Atlantic must pay all fees to Trallero as I had no obligation to pay, and no contractual relationship with, any of Atlantic's subcontractors. Orlin's response was like that of a guilty child - he blocked any further communications from me. As a result, I then had to correspond only with Atlantic's attorneys. I informed them that I was ready to file a multi-count lawsuit to hold Atlantic fully liable for the breach of its contractual obligations, its bad faith conduct and fraudulent business practices, and the recovery of all fees and costs incurred by me in enforcing their obligations. Following the attorneys brief and legally unpersuasive attempt to justify Atlantic's actions, the attorneys quickly reversed their position and agreed to reimburse me for the full amount ($1820) I'd been coerced to pay Trallero (per the instructions of Orlin) to have my belongings finally delivered. During that process, Atlantic's attorneys also attempted to include "confidentiality and non-disparagement provisions" in a release agreement to prevent me from publicly exposing Atlantic's inexcusable conduct. But I refused to keep Atlantic's malfeasance a secret and Atlantic's attorneys again backed down. Atlantic then paid me and I remain free to inform the world about Atlantic's deceitful business practices. The final sad chapter of my experience with Atlantic was filing a claim for damaged and missing items with its insurance carrier - W K Webster (Overseas) Ltd. After the insurance company effectively ignored my claim for over 4 months, I notified them that I would promptly file a lawsuit against Atlantic to recover all expenses and litigation costs resulting from the damaged and missing items. They then paid my claim. read more

I sure do wish I had gone with a different moving company. Some of the actual moving guys were great (Maury knows his stuff and deserves a raise!) but the other contacts avoid you unless they're asking for more money, like for the "third party hook-up" that never actually happened. But the main complaint? ...Our quote was WAY OFF. Over $1,000 different than the amount billed to us. $1,100 higher to be more exact. This should not happen! The estimator saw our whole house, storage areas and shed; they should know how much it will cost. A couple hundred I can understand but over a grand? I also wouldn't trust this moving company to pack anything unusual. We had some items scattered all around inside of boxes, not secured within the boxes at all, when is was clear this would happen. And don't get me started on the whole "third party has to hook up your washer, dryer and fridge. It was a mad rush to get to the new property by 1:00 only to have this person not show up until 4:30. Then proceed to not do her job due to lack of knowledge and proper documentation as to how the washer was "unhooked" in the first place. And after all the trouble (going all weekend after a move with no washer) and overages we have incurred, they want us to pay for this third party service?! I've moved three times in the past four years and this company was the worst out of the three. read more

I contracted with ARS to fully, door to door, handle our complex international move from Atlanta to our destination over 10,000 miles away. For those who have never done an international move, it can be a daunting task. Those who read this should also know I very seldom post such a detailed review. These guys and the team I worked with were amazing! EXCELLENCE PAR EXCELLENCE!!! No better words to describe the experience. We are only half way there but I wanted to share today's experiences. From meeting with Mr. Andy Orlin, ARS's International Business Development person I was impressed, which also seldom happens. Mr. Orlin was highly professional, handled all customs and other related documentation and was very responsive to phone calls and e-mails. Today, the packing team arrived about 45 minutes after the latest scheduled arrival time, but made more than up for it in their professionalism. It is unbelievable that two full huge households of very valuable antique silver, valuables, porcelain and thousands of other small very fragile collectibles as well as all our clothes that looked like a mountain to me, furniture, etc - everything that needed to go in a twenty foot container, was individually wrapped and packed by ARS, the truck loaded and them finished and done with a perfectly clean, unblemished walls and floors house, in exactly five hours from arrival to leaving. They did an EXCELLENT PAR EXCELLENCE job. The packing team led by Ryan, was very friendly, helpful, cheerful, careful and exceptionally efficient. The last time I had such an experience was when I moved a few times internationally with very high end international movers and before today never believed such thing existed in the USA. I assure you it does. I highly recommend ARS. I understand they do local moves as well. So contact them when in need. read more

Be warned. We are in the process of moving our elderly mom. The person they sent for the estimate said she had 3600 pounds. The 'actual' (??) weight they say after the stuff is set to be delivered is 5900 pounds. Very poor estimate. A shock to have the bill be $2200 more. It was the person THEY sent for the estimate. The first was moving my things from Belfast, Northern Ireland to Savannah, Ga in 2015 and this time in October, 2019 going from Savannah to Glasgow, Scotland. Each time Andy Orlin has been the absolute best!! He is the ultimate professional with meticulous attention to every detail and has a very caring a personal touch. He was available to guide me and answer any questions at all times, even weekends and holidays. Each of my moves has involved my belongings sending time in storage, adding another layer to the complicated logistics of multiple vendors, customs requirements and so on. Both moving teams in Savannah were prompt, hard working and very courteous. This last team packed and labelled everything with incredible care and precision. I have utter faith and trust in Andy and would not hesitate to have him move me back to the US. read more

I recently used them for a move from Atlanta to LA. The gentleman who came to give estimate was professional, not pushy. My belongings arrived on time, not damaged. While they are not the cheapest, they are the best. I've used another mover for long distance move, was " squeezed" By the driver for more $ to get stuff off the truck! You will def. not get that with this Co. They followed up, delivered as promised, wrapped things well, nothing damaged. I'm sorry to see this location has such bad reviews. I couldn't give this business even 1 star. They were horrible and please do not waste your time using them. I was relocating for work to a city 7 hours away. I was pricing moving companies and they gave me the best quote so i went with them. I should have done more research. Hell I would have been better off renting a truck and hiring movers to pack and unpacking. Anyway. They were late arriving to pack. Then they charged me for tape and boxes to pack more items. They would just use so much more tape than was needed. Then charge for each roll (which were many). I ended up paying over $1000 more for the move than was quoted. Then they don't tell you that they are moving other people's stuff with yours. They were late getting to our new location. They were difficult to work. Basically once they get your credit card number the customer service stops there. Please save yourself money and grief and find another company even if they give you the best quote. Don't be fooled by the great customer service until moving day.. I'm so disappointed with this team. They were really great until they had picked up my stuff for an international move. First I was charged an extra $2000 (on an original $3500 total cost), which honestly was because they used one box per item almost.. then I couldn't reach my contact there for a couple of weeks, then there was the delay (several weeks late) and now to top if off.. it's not the service Andy said it was. So... I accept responsibility for apparently missing this on the sheets provided on moving day but Andy clearly said it was a pack + ship + unpack service. I'm so frustrated and will remove all the good reviews I left these guys. Please choose someone else. It's simply been the worst international move I've had (and I've had 5 of them). read more

Use extreme caution in any dealings with this company, make sure all fees are clear and open and you know exactly what they are billing you for. We received 2 quotes, one from Atlantic Relocation services and one from Bekins, both @ 500 dollars apart. Bekins was spot on with the weight and were a little off in the quote, Atlas reduced their quote to obtain our business and once our items were loaded, they claimed an estimating error in weight and are changing their fees to add an additional 3000.00 plus!! Strange how you can have the same walk thru with Bekins estimating the weight correctly and Atlas claiming they missed the weight by some 7000 pounds (are they competent?) Their driver also left trash and tools on our old house the day of the move which also cost us additional concession with the buyers at the closing, that we (not Atlas) had to pay. This company is very questionable ethically and I would look elsewhere. I have asked for many management level employees to call me and to date have received no contact, only emails that they will bill us 140% of the original quote...... customer service, accountability, ethical business practices.... what are those to Atlantic Relocation, I highly doubt they are in any code of conduct that I am aware of within this company. read more

If there was a zero I would give it. I recently came across a $150 check I never cashed from them (they sent it because they were doing nothing to address my list of issues). They damaged so many of our belongings and then I had to fight for any reimbursement. As you will know if you have been through it, unless your item was listed on the high value sheet, you are reimbursed at cents per weight. If they broke a low price heavy item, great. The irreplaceable hand painted blow egg shell from Croatia. No reimbursement. Getting reimbursement from any moving company is hard because of this and usually not a huge issue as they go to great lengths not to break/lose stuff. Not in this case. The homemade quilt hanging in our nursery was crushed into a ball at the bottom of a box with all sorts of odd items thrown in on top. Yes, this was sorted with some ironing, and for certain if that was the only issue no big deal but that story isn't about financial reimbursement, it shows the care with which our belongings were handled. The hand blown and painted egg that I pointed out to the movers when they began packing and asked them to handle with extra care - never even saw the egg shell - just gone. Some (not all) of the movers were exceptionally rude. I had nowhere to put our elliptical in the new house so I asked them to leave it in the front entryway until I could figure out another location. The mover rudely said - why bother, it's not like you are going to use it. I could go on for pages and pages and pages. Just save yourself the hassle and pick another mover. read more

Wow, this place is the worst. It started out great when the invertory person came over to verify what we had, his estimate was pretty accurate based on the actual truck load. We had the pack and load service. The packers and loaders were great. They did a really great job packaging our stuff, but there were several things packed with paper, a pen top, pen, etc, that was a bit much. 6 sheets of paper for a 10cent bic pen top. But, the items were packed nicely. They loaded and were running late from the rain. Understandable. Here is where it gets bad. They packed on a Tuesday, loaded Wed and were supposed to deliver on Friday in Dallas, TX. They quote a 2 day window, but we were going to pay extra to make it happen on Friday. Turns out, the driver left Thursday night, from Atlanta to make the 12+ hour drive to dallas. I'm wondering how he was really planning on doing this if he left Thursday night and was supposed to deliver at my place Friday at 10am. Well it did not happen. The driver was stranded on the side of the road in MS for 12 hours, when did we get a phone call??? Friday at 8am 2 hours before they were supposed to drop off. Things go progressivly down hill and never get better. The driver is stranded all day Friday and finally gets back on the road sometime lateFriday night. we are told Saturday at 11am he will deliver. When does he deliver closer to 4pm. All while his hired help is sitting outside my home waiting, waiting and waiting on him. So they make a mad dash to unload everything, its close to 9pm or so befor they are finally done unloading. Here we are 3 weeks later and I'm still missing several hundred dollars worth of my belongings. When I called to find out status' the rep / coordinator would blow me off or say or it shipped, when not only did it not ship, it finally arrived and was not my stuff. Not only do I not recommend these people, I would say use them for a competitive quote to give to another more reliable company. read more

Unfortunately, Atlantic Relocation Systems lost many items and after 7 months told me too bad, "we can't find them". My assumption at this point is my items have been stolen by one of their employees and have filed a police report. I will never use Atlantic Relocation Systems again, I'd rather hand carry everything on my back and move it myself. Stay far away from these guys. I spent $13K dollars on a pack, store and move. My worst nightmare. I don't think anyone wants to read the pages I could write about my experience, but I will sum it up with the following - - Terrible communication - better yet, nonexistent communication Not knowing where my belongings were. Actually, communication was fine until things went wrong. No answer on the day my things were to arrive and I never talked to my rep again after that. I called her in the morning to see if I could get an estimated ETA, called again, again after it was getting late and no sign of the truck. She never called me or answered an email again. At about 4pm on the day my things were to arrive, I finally just called Atlas corporate and begged them for help. - Belongings shipping over a week after promised delivery (not just a week after they were supposed to ship, almost a week after they were supposed to have arrived at destination). Seriously. They told me my things would arrive on XXX day. I confirmed multiple times. When I finally got in touch with someone after countless calls on that day while sitting around waiting for them to arrive, they told me all of my stuff was still in Atlanta, not even loaded on a truck yet. I was on the west coast, in an empty house, waiting for them and my things had never even left Atlanta . - Living in a hotel, which cost an absolute fortune for two weeks - especially when last minute and completely unexpected - Flying across country to an empty house, with no clue where everything I own was at the time. Thought it was on the way, I was very wrong. - Finally getting my belongings two weeks late, having to unload half the truck myself because the crew I paid for wasn't there. It was brutal. I am not a big, strong mover. I was literally dragging things that were too big to pick up (half of it was broken from them loading it anyway), barely able to move the next day and it took until about 11pm to finish. - Countless broken or damaged items. Furniture scratched, broken items that the movers had packed (everything I packed was fine, but the items they helped pack because of size were nearly destroyed), bikes broken, tables destroyed, things missing, found the belongings of other people mixed up in my stuff and really hope they made their way back to the right people. I found a name on one box and I really regret not contacting them but I was just too tired and wound up from this whole thing. All that cost nearly 5 figures. I've moved 18 times in my life, I know how to pack, I know how to do this, and this experience was by far the worst I've ever had. The worst part of all was no communication. Nothing to indicate my things were not on the way, NOTHING. I flew across country to meet up with the delivery crew and didn't know they weren't coming until late that afternoon after sitting in an empty house all day wondering if they were stuck in traffic and calling Atlantic over and over again until I finally found out.. Turns out, they hadn't even left Atlanta yet and no one bothered to so much as tell me. read more

This company scammed us dreadfully. We moved from Alaska to AZ and they put our 4 bedroom household in two trucks. This was not a problem until they unloaded one truck and held the other hostage until we paid a higher cost than the original contract deal. It was blatant scamming. Then when we paid, just so I could get the beds in that truck, I found out that my wedding ring and a bunch of other jewelry had been stolen. Even though I was insured and it should have covered my stolen items, they claimed I had no proof, and would not cover the missing items. Awful company. read more

These guys were 6 hrs late at our house. Mislabelled many of our boxes... took another six hrs to pack roughly 3000 pounds of stuff (no more than a single bedroom apt). Some of the workers were friendly but some of them were mean... overall do not recommend this moving company read more

I would highly recommend using Atlantic Relocation Systems for any moving or relocation needs. From the very beginning when I was first soliciting moving companies to the day they delivered the household goods, ARS was the most thorough, knowledgeable, and cordial group to work with on my company's employee relocation. I was asked by my supervisor to assist in finding a mover that would relocate a recently promoted employee from Indianapolis to Phoenix. Because of the long trek and cost involved, it was crucial that I select a company that was not only experienced in handling cross country moves with little-to-no damage to property but also cost effective. Melissa Craig was my first encounter and she answered all my questions with complete transparency and courtesy. I "interviewed" nearly a dozen moving companies, some of which were also very knowledgeable and helpful, and narrowed down my selection to three. Based on the cost estimate, experience, reputation of the name, online reviews, and how helpful the company was, we ultimately chose ARS. Since I personally have never used a professional moving company, learning the ins and outs of the business as well as making sure the employee's property would be secured and well taken care of made for a really anxiety-filled experience for me. Tracy Roberts, who took the reins after Melissa, could not have been more ideal in being my ARS representative. She answered every single one of my questions with complete honesty and remained cordial despite the numerous times I contacted her with more inquiries. She realized I was anxious and turned this situation into a learning experience for me, educating me on exactly what goes on with the moving industry, how to read the documents, and what best practices are recommended. When you're dealing with a long distance move and all the factors that go into transporting a family's entire belongings with monetary and personal value, trust is very important, and Tracy did a tremendous job gaining my trust during this process. As we got closer to the move date, Tracy walked the employee's family and myself through the process, double checking that all of our ducks were in a row. During the days of the move Tracy visited the family more than once to make sure everything was going smoothly and helped ease some of the anxiety that comes with a move. The drivers were professional and very helpful. She and the drivers went above and beyond to ease any worry, including the driver offering to transport their family dog so that he didn't have to fly in cargo in below freezing temperatures. On the day the truck delivered the household goods to the new home, the relocated employee let my supervisor and I know everything was great. He said, "Dog and the rest of our stuff made it safely this morning at 8 AM. Movers were tremendous. Great guys." The whole team at ARS that worked with us during this arduous process did a fantastic job. I feel 100% confident they will do a great job for anyone's moving needs. To be honest, they were not the least expensive mover on our list, however it was totally worth paying a little extra for the security and peace of mind that our employee's belongings were in good hands. When it comes time for me to move into a new home, I will most definitely contact them. read more

I have moved many times since the 80's for my job and would never use Atlas again! Allied or Paul Arpin is much more competent and they communicate through out the move. Our sales Rep Curtis appeared professional and offered us a fair price but that's where it ends. The day of the move they sent out 3 men to pack up 11K pounds to move from the south to the Northeast. They arrived @ 8:30 and by 3-4pm two of the men were doing nothing for at least 30 minutes, texting on their cell phones etc. We had to yell "Is anyone going to finish this today" and finally they got the house loaded onto the truck by 7pm! Absolutely absurd! I moved up the move out day a day earlier to make sure they would be at our destination site the day of the closing "Friday" and was told for some "unknown reason" they coulf not be there until Saturday. read more

The gentleman that came to our home to inspect the amount of items we have and to size truck accordingly sorely underestimated the truck size needed. My husband even requested he return to our home to reevaluate and he denied his request. We ended up having to rent a uhaul and make 3 additional trips to get all our belongings. My husband texted the sales rep several times to let him know our dilemma. He then told us the reason for the smaller truck was they didn't have the tractor trailer available. Seems to me he should have rejected our move. Later that day my husband finally got in touch with him and we were told he was sending another crew with a truck to get the rest of our belongings. The truck never showed nor did we receive a call letting us know. This company doesn't stand behind their word and I would never recommend them to anyone. WARNING - IF YOU PLAN TO USE ATLAS MOVING COMPANY, THEY WILL MOST LIKE SELL YOUR DELIVER TO A THIRD PARTY LIKE ATLANTIC RELOCATION. I hired ATLAS Moving Company for a relocation from Dallas, Texas to Connecticut. My sales representative in Dallas, Johnny Shanks {should be Shark} was very accommodating regarding my schedule pick up and drop off in the beginning. The cost was competitive. As I had already sold my home, my household belongings were store in a climate controlled storage facility in Plano, Texas. Moving day. The movers arrived on time in a newer model white what appeared to look like a truck you can get at Budget a do it yourself moving truck. As my belongings were in storage, 95% percent of the packing and careful furniture wrapping had been completed by myself. However, there was a level of comfort when they added an additional third layer of blankets to my furniture. The Dallas team did what appeared to be a good job and conducted themselves professionally. Moving in day Connecticut. Upon arrival in Connecticut I learned that the corporate rental I had rented was not ready for move in. I immediately contacted Johnny Shanks to let him that there was going to be a delay. Johnny responded with a "no problem, we have a storage facility in Hartford, Connecticut call me when you are ready". Moving day confirmed. I called my sales representative Johnny Shanks to let him know the address of the new corporate housing. Johnny took this opportunity to advise me that my cost had increased over $2,000} for the 30-day storage. Surprise! I questioned Johnny Shanks about this additional charge. I asked Johnny Shanks about the 30-day no charge storage. This is when the conversation gets interesting. Johnny Shanks barked back at me "that's only for local storage". I responded, "I wish you would have told me this". Johnny Shanks then began yelling at me with a four letter filled response and name calling. I asked Johnny Shanks very directly, "so you are holding my belongings hostage unless I pay the additional $2.000?" Johnny Shanks response, "your goddamn right your mother fucking fag". That's when I tuned Johnny Shanks outs until he eventually hung up. I then called the Dallas office. Delivery day. ATLANTIC showed up in an old rusted out truck with two drivers arrived followed by a car with four guys to assist. They opened the trucks rear and side doors. At this time it became very clear my belongings had not been secured in the truck before the drive from Hartford to my corporate housing. Boxes were tossed about, crushed, furniture for some reason had been unwrapped and stacked on other pieces of furniture. When the driver introduced himself he smelled of last nights drink of choice and cigarettes. No one was wearing any type of uniform or ID. This is when I learned my personal belongings and move had been sold been sold to a third party mover for delivery without my knowledge or consent. These were day workers delivering my belongs. At that I was handed a sheet of paper with a list of number on it. I was given the responsibility of checking off the numbered boxes or items and telling them or showing them where to place them. The first three boxes off the truck were crushed and you could hear that the items contained inside the boxes were broken. The delivery men immediately became defensive and started yelling, name calling and making threats. At one point stating that they were going to "drop my shit off in the driveway and leave." Throughout the unload, as each item came off the truck they stated "we are not responsible for any items broken or missing". I was also advised that I was "holding them up". At one point the Hartford office called me and questioned me, according to the delivery driver I was being difficult, I advised the supervisor that coming off the truck was damaged or broken, in the background you could clearly hear one of the guys yelling at me. The verbal attacks continued. Nothing but four letter words, threats to "drop my shit" off in the driveway and an acquisition/question are you a "racist". Finally when I wanted to file a claim for the 15 missing boxes and thousands of dollars worth of damage and or destroyed property. Nothing and I had insurance built into the cost of my move quote. read more

Worst service ever. Please do not use. Company will not keep their promises. Did not deliver my household goods. I had to wait on hold for 30 min. just to talk to someone in charge that would tell me why they were delay. They gave me the worst excuse ever, the truck broke down. They drive trucks for a living but never heard of "Preventive Maintenance for their trucks. I expect a top rated moving company to maintain their trucks and have back up plan. They do not care about the inconvenience of their customers. They have no concept of what Customer Service. John read more
