Worse company ever! We have done a few International moves which were successful. However, our last move with this company, from Florida to Belgium turned out to be a very frustrating experience. The packers were very careless, they really did not care about our goods. We were told that some of our items would be properly packed in their storage facility. That was never done. When the delivery truck arrived here, it looked like our stuff was just thrown on the back of the truck. Content of our boxes were just floating around in the truck. Once we had assessed the damaged, the real frustrating part began...There were no concrete answers to our questions, e-mails were ignored and they refused to take any responsibility. Just a rude, arrogant bunch of incompetent people who, once they receive your money, do not care at all as how the move goes. Terrible!!!! read more

ABSOLUTELY AWFUL. They are delivering me on the very last day of my two week window after pushing it back nearly 4 times. The customer service was perhaps the worst part. The individual I spoke with doesn't return phone calls or emails timely, even when promised. The last email received had the information in the title with nothing in the body of the email. I've never dealt with this lack of professionalism before. I will never use this company again and I have serious reservations about using any similar company. I used them to move me from Atlanta to New York in 2010. All the items arrived on time and no damage. For the most part, the move was ok. I am only giving them 3 stars because there was some slow communication with their front office staff. At the time, they had a young-sounding lady (think teenager) and she took several business days to return your calls and coordinate moving dates/times/addresses. She was also very unprofessional. Crew from hell. Disrespectful, unprofessional, wouldn't assemble anything or unpack anything. Worst ever experience. Attitude like there's no tomorrow. Horrible company. We paid for door to door packing and unpacking and they wouldn't unpack or assemble. One guy was wasted. Discourteous and rude and all they did was complain. Truly crew from hell. Wouldn't assemble beds and we slept on the floor 3 days. One guy took a bolt from bed and promised to return to assemble the bed but never did. read more

This company is the worst, most unprofessional moving company we have ever worked with. We contracted them to move us from Colorado to Wisconsin. When the truck arrived in Wisconsin we were missing several pieces of furniture and more than half of the boxes we packed. One of our master bedroom night stands had the leg broken off. One of our dressers is badly marred with big scratches and chunks of wood missing. My golf clubs are missing, boxes of collectibles are missing. We have been trying for a week to get a resolution no luck. The coordinator was to email us an inventory. That did not happen. The general manager was going to check things and give a call the next day. Did not happen. We have been told by the sales rep they have our stuff but no driver until 1-15-17. We have moved to six different states and never had such poor service. It is now time for us to find a lawyer because we are not paying this bill. read more

If I could I would give ZERO stars. I have moved many many times in my life, a lot of international moving included. I do not expect perfection and I am well aware that things break during a move. I also understand that estimates are exactly that, estimates. That been said... STAY AWAY from this company! 1) The sales person who came absolutely low-balled the estimate. We were not moving on the corporate dime, so we did say that we would try do to as much ourselves as we could, but told the sales person specifically things we would not be touching, like for instance the kitchen. The estimate for packing ended up with much less than needed, including the kitchen, where the packers had about enough boxes for a third of the kitchen. The packers ended up using my own boxes purchased at Home Depot. Atlantic charges for packed boxes when they pack. Not a bad thing. Except when they take a medium size box for ONE (!!!) lampshade. I mentioned it to the foreman, he was fairly dismissive to my comments. They did not finish the packing on the day allocated for packing as they did not have enough materials (boxes). More to this later. 2) Loading was insanity. As I have moved many times, I know what to get ready. I know what to do with furniture so that it doesn't get banged up. Like taking out drawers of a dresser to make it lighter and easier to carry. The crew apparently didn't want to walk the extra flight of stairs, so back in go the drawers and presto, the dresser comes apart when they lift it. 5 hours were allocated for loading. It took them 9. It was a hot day, and I don't expect the crew to be running the entire day, but finding one of the crew taking a nap in one of the guest rooms is a new one for me. Obviously a lot of time was used for more packing as they didn't get the job done the first day. Because the loading took so long, the allocated hours for the move in were of course "used up" and I was told by sales that the move in would have to be charged additionally. 3) Delivery.... Or rather Non-Delivery. Our move was a bit out of the ordinary, not an A2B same day or overnight, but rather a move-out/storage/move-in deal. From the beginning it was very clearly stated when the move-in date was supposed to be. At no time ever was I told that move-in dates are not binding or can change. The day before the move I check in to confirm the delivery. Several hours later I am told that they can not deliver and that the new delivery date is now 3 days later. And this via Email. No explanation as to why, no apologies, no call, nothing. It is clear what happened, as over a number of telephone calls it became clear that an internal error (someone did not log the exit date in the warehouse) it never went to dispatch. The only way it came up was my inquiry the day before the original delivery day. I raised all sorts of hell obviously, was told nothing could be done. "We have a lot of military traffic". I guess this is a way to get customers to be quiet, since nothing can be said about the military.... All calls made where initiated by me. Every time I asked for them to call back, keep me updated, be it the coordinator or the sales manager, calls were never returned. Even a "I will call you back in 10 minutes" turned into 6 hours later me calling and not reaching the person in charge. It is apparent that nothing was done to help expedite or fix the problem that THEY caused. This became absolutely obvious when a person from dispatch called me and had NO IDEA about the situation concerning our delivery. So perhaps the sales manager made one call and then stopped, thinking this is "working hard to solve the customers problem". We are now scheduled for the delivery in 2 days. In the mean time an email has arrived from the GM offering apologies as well as compensation. At least something. But too little too late. I do not expect moving again in the nearer future, but if I ever do, I will certainly not be using this company or any of their affiliates again. Useless to use them just for quote comparisons either, as what is quoted is not what it will be in the end. read more

I am really surprised to see so many bad reviews! Well, my family and I just finished moving from Atlanta to Los Angeles, and our experience from start to finish was excellent. Andy Orlin came over for a quote and we very helpful - he answered all of my questions honestly and thoroughly. For reference, my two other quotes felt like I was talking to used car salesmen. So, moving ahead, I was able to get free boxes from their warehouse to get us started. I was one of those customers that was calling Andy often to get more info. He always obliged, happily. He even revised my quote TWICE when I changed my mind about what large items I was bringing. The price ended up being very reasonable, and it was guaranteed even though my actual weight came in over the estimate. Day of the move out - amazing. Friendly driver and crew of 4 movers got it done quickly and safely. Then, the driver got our stuff out to CA well before we expected. 6 days all in. On the delivery day, the driver showed up within an hour of his estimate. Another great crew on this end and all my items ended up in our home in perfect condition (with a couple minor exceptions). Reading these reviews makes us feel so very fortunate. We have dodged a bullet! The ARS estimator visited our home here in Houston and our storage location, and seemed appreciative of the detailed lists we gave her of everything in the storage rooms (because they were packed too solidly full to see what was in them). We discussed in detail our upcoming move to Oklahoma - she even asked for a map of the location so her trucks could find their way (rural area in OK). About a week later, she sent a quick note from her iPhone saying "I'll call you later today". She never called, and now, weeks later, has not responded to any of the 3 e-mails we've sent asking when we may receive our quote (during the visit she told us the quote would come to us the following Monday!). When we sent word to Atlas Van Lines that we hadn't received our quote and asked for help, they also ignored us! So peculiar for a company we THOUGHT had professional experience in cross-country moves. Obviously they do not want our business and we will be more than happy to give it to another organization. read more

Wish I had read these comments before signing up with these folks. Right on when you said six sheets of paper to wrap a Bic pen top. They could have saved a forest and me a couple of thousand dollars with the excess paper they used. They even unpacked books I had in milk crates and boxed them. But my biggest complaint is all the stuff I'm missing. Three silver rings that I cherish as much as anything in my house. They were sitting on the dresser next to three little jewelry boxes but were not in any of them. When I found my jewelry three weeks later and realized they weren't there I went out in the rain and shook out every piece of paper in that box again--no rings. And besides that, they dumped my crystal chandelier in the bottom of a box with stuff on top of it and broke one of the little bobeches off. They had no regard for expensive silk arrangements. There is a shelf missing from an armoire. Why couldn't they just leave it in the armoire? I firmly believe there is at least one box missing. Don't laugh but the vcr that's missing I kept plugged in because it had the best clock in the house. There are several health toilet articles missing, like the booster seat for the toilet. I thought my walker was missing but I found it in the barn and yes, I've gone through all the Xmas decorations that were still packed from my last move 21 yrs. ago. And of course all of this probably is less than my $300 deductible so they don't seem the least bit concerned. Beware is all I can say. read more

This company is TERRIBLE. Don't be fooled by the 5 star google reviews. I used this company last year for a move from Atlanta to California and it's the worst experience I have ever had with a business. They have a salesman come to your home and go over pricing with you. He told us everything he knew we wanted to hear including that our things would never take 2 full weeks to arrive at our new home in CA (this is the max amount of time allowed in the contract.) While he was a nice guy, that meeting was the last we heard of him. Our designated customer service rep at the Atlanta office somehow managed to be on "vacation" every time we needed to ask a question but the operator didn't hesitate to pass you along to another representative who would have to "call you back" because they weren't familiar with your particular move. Guess what, we would never hear back. On moving day, the guys arrived 2.5 hours late and didn't finish up until it was well after dark. They were nice enough but not affiliated directly with the company so couldn't answer any questions about when are things were going into the warehouse and when they would be leaving the warehouse to come to CA. We ended up leaving Atlanta completely clueless as to when our things would arrive. And I bet you can guess how long it took for our things to appear- 14 days exactly. After multiple calls to the company asking over and over again when our things were coming because OF COURSE they aren't going to go out of their way to keep you updated themselves, they finally told us that due to the busy time of year, our salesman should have informed us that it would likely take the full 2 weeks to arrive. Funny how that's the same exact reasoning he used to reassure us that it would never take 2 weeks to get our things. And to end it all, after all our complaining and back and forth, and their stupid slogan to "let them know if you can't rate their service as excellent," the company wouldn't even waive the $75 fee to come pick up our moving boxes. Had successfully used Atlantic Relocation Systems in the past, but after this experience, never again! They damaged a couple piece of my furniture during a recent move and even though the driver filled out paperwork stating the damages happened, they refused to pay. It was one excuse after another... piece listed as desk not a bookshelf, items were already damaged, you disassembled the pieces yourself... anything to deny payment. So, had my lawyer give them a call and then suddenly they "carefully reviewed my account" and decided to pay my claim. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS UNETHICAL COMPANY!!! read more

NEVER DO RELOCATION with these guys.. they are cheaters... picked up my household items and they could not trace where its now. Asking for another 20 days to identify and they doubled the charges after picked up my stuffs...they are big CHEATERS.. I guess, I get $600 as an insurance money for my things worth of more than $15K. also lost $3K for relocation charges... Thinking that it would you to not to Do the business with these cheaters!!!!!!!!!!!! Their old name is Atlantic Relocation Systems and the new name is Atlantic Relocation Inc... My family was relocated and chose Atlantic to handle our move. There was a guy that came to survey what we had to move and we received a quote of almost $10,000. The day they came to pack everything there were 3 people, 2 females and a guy. It took them from 8:00am til about 4:00pm to pack. The survey guy told me everything they would pack but they told me they didn't pack certain things and the movers would handle everything else. I was told all of my liquid detergents and bath soap couldn't go, which was never told to me by the survey guy. Tuesday we were all packed and ready to go. It took them until Thursday the following week to deliver our belongings(a whole week and 2 days), which we were told if not that Friday the following Monday! When our belongings finally arrived a tv was broke, and one of the movers dropped a desk and broke it. They got tired towards the end and left boxes anywhere. They are horrible, almost 2 months later we still haven't been compensated. Look elsewhere!! read more

I have such mixed emotions about this company; however, I can't possibly recommend them to ANYONE!! For the most part the moving staff is nice, and super manor able (Despite the fact that it took two days to load because they sent 3 people with the biggest one weighing about 150lbs.....she was good though, LOL). Now let me tell you why they are a mess!!!! When they initially came to my home, they told me I would need approx 34 boxes. When moving time came I actually need more than double that. Now considering they sell boxes, and estimate weight my moving bill would have increased substantially. I understand that this was an estimate. You can be off by 5 boxes, even 10.....BUT OVER 30! NO SIR!! SMELLS LIKE A CON JOB!!! When they initially came to deliver my things to the new home, they didn't have two of my sofas and a chair. How do you misplace a sofa???They broke several items, including a marble topped Bombay chest, lamp, vases, to name just some of the things...of course they gave me pennies for replacement. They lost a musical instrument as well. They required ME to purchase insurance, as they would NOT be responsible if THEY BROKE OR LOST ANYTHING!!! I found out the liable clause after I signed the contract. I just say beware....the entire moving industry is not to be trusted. Get some friends, and buy them a beer and pizza! Good luck! read more

My best friend and her family used Atlantic Relocation Systems recently for an International move and they were ABSOLUTELY TERRIBLE!!!! Stay clear of this company!!!! They are OVER PRICED, they quote one price then stick you with a much higher bill after the fact, their customer service is terrible as soon as ou've signed the contract with them, everyone at this company looks to pass the buck, and they mislead the customer. I plan on spreading the word about Atlantic Relocation Systems and I know my friend and her family will too. Atlantic Relocation's representative Andy Orlin did not know international import law, resulting in my household goods being held for over 30 days. When I addressed this "oversight" with him, he told me it was my fault and I should have known Dutch import law. I told him this was ridiculous--this was the entire reason I hired an international moving company. At that point, Orlin took the issue personally and threatened to not deliver my goods. He made good with this threat and dragged his feet on paperwork, delaying delivery. When I addressed this problem with his boss, Mark McReynolds, I was told that I would receive an explanation for delay--an explanation that never appeared. Once payment was complete, my emails have never been returned by the company. read more

The WORST moving company I have ever used. Very unprofessional. Movers severely damaged my property and my personal property. No one from the company even called to apologize. It's been more than 10days since my move and no one has called or been to my house to check the damage. This was a local move. My major concerns in selecting a mover were quality and my budget, because my company did not pay for my move with Atlantic. Please. Do yourself a favor - run far far away from these crooks. I only wish I had read reviews before hiring these incompetent scheisters!! Sure - they send a guy out at first who assured you he will do anything to get your business and make you happy. In our case it was Douglas. and once they have your business - they treat you like garbage. Our move happened today. Nightmare from beginning to end. Ended up calling police officers to my home as a couple of the men reeked of pot and when i questioned - one got in my face. Police stayed and supervised the move. Lost items. Damaged items. Their tagging system is ridiculous and completely useless. Rude employees. And don't even try to get someone at headquarters to help. Our movers were 5 hours late. Spoke to Douglas again. His manager Michael. Both - awful!! Their assistant Junette - just as awful. All rude and unapologetic for all the many inconveniences. Our stuff came 3 days after promised. Moved from ATL to SYD in 2013. My stuff arrived mostly safe and generally damage was minimized. However, there are serious issues with the management of the company and the business service side leaves everything to be desired. I paid the amount I was quoted for the move and followed up afterwards to ensure that everything was finalized- got no response. However, a year after the move they came back claiming they missed invoicing us for about 1200 worth of service and that we now needed to pay. Nevermind, that I attempted to be as proactive as possible as the original quote came in well under the corporate budget we were allocated and Atlantic relocation's mistake now meant we needed to pay out of pocket because they waited so long to find and notify the mistake. In addition, rather then sending me the actual invoice they sent it straight to their collections department, backdated the invoice, and it took them three months just to let me know what the invoice was related to. Throughout the whole process everyone I came into contact was either generally unhelpful/ non-responsive or extremely inflammatory. Basically, they have no idea how to run the back-end of their business and will mis-quote/ under charge/invoice you incorrectly and then expect you accommodate their internal problems. I have no idea how they are still in business, and would suggest that you not give them any additional business. read more

By far the worst movers we have ever used. The move was about 15 miles in state. The estimator who came out was very thorough throughout our house. The crew came out to pack on the date promised and packed everything. They went a little overboard wrapping tissue boxes and toilet paper in multiple layers of packing paper. All while we are paying by the hour for them packing. Unfortunately we were unable to watch them pack all of items. They came out the next day and loaded the truck. We had assumed the had done a decent job of packing. We found out later that was not the case. What made it even worse was that we told them specifically that certain items were very fragile and irreplaceable. It went in one ear and out the other. They delivered all our items the next day as promised. Because we were not able to inspect all our items while they were unloading we did not realize how much damage had occurred. They bent our new, French door refrigerator frame. The fridge is now useless. Expensive stereo equipment was damaged. Antiques were broken. One of a kind items were broken. We found out afterwards that their packing was bad, very bad. I definitely would not recommend this company. read more
