We were visiting the area and searched yelp for a seafood place. I am very pleased we found the Atlantic Sea Grill. First up, our waitress was excellent, she was very attentive and offered suggestions that were spot on. They were glad accommodate our requests for slight variations of the entrees. The clam chowder and the maine steamers were as good as it gets. My wife thought the lobster sliders were wonderfully delicious. The lobster was hardly dressed at all. The flavor of the meat was clearly the star! Everyone in our party left very pleased with their meals. Next time we are in town, we will be back. read more

I have been dining here for a few years now and can confidently say it is one of the best seafood places in the area. I travel about an hour to get dinner here. This is probably my favorite seafood place in Boston area. The shrimp saganaki, seafood sampler, and seafood marinara are my favorites. The oyster basket is an great app and few places will actually give you the portion they serve. The bar is nice with great beers on tap. I've met the owners and they're always around and are very invested in making this a great place to eat with great food. Another part I love is the fish market with fresh fish and great pre-made sides and desserts. Overall, great spot! read more

I came for lunch for a lobster roll that did not disappoint! Came with coleslaw and I substitute broccoli for the fries. I also had a bowl of the clam chowder. Today we had one of the worst dining experiences that we have ever had at Atlantic Sea Grill. We had reservations for 6pm, and were seated immediately. Great! It then took 10-15 minutes for someone to come by and ask if we'd been helped for drinks. It was busy, so no big deal. We were then able to order our appetizers and food. Appetizers came out in 10-15 minutes. After that, we waited over an hour until we spoke up about our food not being done yet. We had seen multiple other tables whom came after us be served before us. The "manager"(who we believe to be the owner) came out with attitude and explained that it was busy and that it would take some time on busier days. He then asked what he could do for us, and we just asked to get us our food. 5 minutes later our food comes out. The fries, rice, and vegetable sides were all room temp or cold. The burger we ordered medium came well done, but the food wasn't bad at all, quite nice actually. We finished eating and were going to pay but wanted to talk to the "manager" one more time about our experience. He came over and very rudely asked "What's the problem now?" and we explained that one of our dishes was wrong, and that given the circumstances and based on our past working in the food industry, that we think that they should do something for us. He then called us "irrational and crazy" then told us to never come back. All over them messing up. Other people who were in our area left after seeing how this supposed manager was treating people. He then threatened to call the police on us. If I could give this place 0 stars I would. Please don't ever complain about the service, or else some crazy man will call the police on you. read more

The food was great! We enjoyed the chicken Marsala, seafood mixed grill and the salmon. We went on Father's Day and it really wasn't too busy but the service could have been a lot better. We had dinner there on 8/05. The place has been nicely remodeled and is very clean. We had the crab cake appetizer. Delicious and fresh. For the main course she had the Seafood Carbonara over pasta w/ salad and I had the broiled haddock, shrimp and scallops with garlic mashed and fries. Carbonara was delicious and seafood as fresh as it gets and a decent size order. The broiled dish was delicious but the portion was small. That was my only issue with the meal. The side dishes and salad were very good and waitress was great. Food came out promptly and was hot and the presentation was above average. Visited with my Nana last night and it was incredible. Our server Diedre was very attentive and kind, and pretty funny to boot. She definitely made the experience more enjoyable. The pre-meal bread is delicious. My Nana ordered onion rings and bacon-wrapped scallops, and I had the baked seafood sampler with a side of glazed carrots and cinnamon sweet potatoes. The sweet potatoes were heavenly! The onion rings were very clearly handmade, which is always a good sign, but were maybe a little bland. The seafood more then made up for it, though! My scallops, shrimp, and fish were warm, buttery and all-around amazing. The scallops were cooked perfectly without a hint of rubberiness. I was full by the end and I think my meal was worth the $22 it cost. I would definitely recommend this place - it's a little on the pricey side, but well worth it! read more

I really wish the atmosphere matched the food. The interior receives one star; it is stark and bland. Not in a cool, hip, "we meant to do this" kind of way but more like I'm out to dinner with my grandparents kind of way. That being said, the service and food were excellent. The server was right on point and attentive without being overly so. The bacon wrapped scallops were prepared to perfection, which in my opinion is sometimes difficult to achieve. Either the bacon or the scallops end up incorrect. The Caesar salad was good with shaved Parmesan, although I doubt the dressing was House made. We both had the baked stuffed one and a quarter pound lobster which was absolutely spectacular with a scallop stuffing. The aromatic rice was such a charming variance from standard rice pilaf and had a wonderful distinct flavor. We opted out of dessert and I had two glasses of the house Chardonnay which was surprisingly good and my husband had a Long Island iced tea which had a nice kick to it. Bottom line we will definitely be regulars but not for a special occasion like Valentine's Day which is when we went..... not because the food isn't worthy but again, that decor!!! read more

Her passion turned out helpful when making my decision. The grilled salmon I got was in contention for best salmon I ever had... up there with a spot I ate at in pikes place fish market in Seattle and a king salmon bake in Skagway AK. For 16.00 you get a generous thick cut of high quality salmon, grilled to perfection with two sides of your choice. This is a gem of a place to get a high quality seafood meal at reasonable prices. Not to mention, great service and a fresh welcoming atmosphere . If I lived closer to Acton I would be here 3+ times a week. What's better then walking into a seafood restaurant and seeing a semi hidden fish counter to buy fresh fish? That says this place is the real thing. Appetizers were perfect. Dinner roles baked on premises. I prefer Bacon wrap scallops to have bacon to be cook slightly harder then the scallop and these were spot on. My son order seafood pasta carbonara while I order broiled combo. Both dishes were perfect. Side ceaser salad was perfect with shaved parmesan cheese. To qualify this review, we've been regulars for years. We would be remiss if we didn't post this. Think of it as a friendly warning. We ordered the sea bass special @ $36 and asked the waitress if it was tender. We were told that it was like butter. It arrived steaming hot, which was a clear indicator it was over cooked. We each tried one small bite and both were chewy and parts of it stringy. We sent it back immediately and asked for broiled haddock. It was better, but still slightly chewy. The waitress informed us that the owner told her that we would be charged for the full price of the sea bass. I asked to speak to the owner and explained that instead of penalizing us for sending back a bad piece of fish, she should spend time speaking with her chefs about overcooking it. She told us that she tried our fish, that it wasn't chewy, but rather our opinion and that her chefs are experts at cooking fish and time everything. I told her emphatically it was chewy and to stop arguing with us. I explained that we would only pay for what we ate and that this was poor customer service. She finally agreed to charge us for the haddock, but unfortunately has lost two customers. read more

Went for lunch today and asked for the Jamaican trout and they were out of trout, so I had to remove a star - although a half star would have been plenty of Punishment. Ordered a beer, muscles and fish n chips. The place is clean and very up to date, the muscles came fast and was cooked perfectly, nice and plump. Terrible terrible!! Our waitress said the manager would be right over... So we waited .. 15 minutes go by and this woman approaches our table ( mind you she had been sitting in the bar chatting while we waited 15 min for her). Asked if we wanted more clams... I said no.. Went here for early dinner/late lunch on a Monday. Our server was friendly, competent and attentive. Upscale atmosphere and reasonable prices. There's a fish market/counter in the rear where you can pick your own fresh fish to be prepared by their very capable kitchen staff. My husband and I shared greek meatballs and a ceasar salad with anchovies to start. I had the fisherman's platter $28 (hand battered onion rings, fries, whole native clams, scallops, shrimp, haddock and a side of coleslaw) my husband had broiled haddock with green beans and mashed $16. The portions were very generous and everything was prepared perfectly. There was a slight delay on our dinners, so our server gave us desert on the house which we thought was extremely nice considering our meals were only delayed 10 or so minutes. This was the first visit to Atlantic Sea Grill for myself and three companions. We were welcomed warmly and seated promptly. Nothing too memorable about the decor and atmosphere. It was clean, well lit and the acoustics seemed fine. However the food and service blew us away. The hostess and wait staff were competent and genuinely concerned about us having a good experience. We all had fish in some form and it was moist and flavorful. Perfectly seasoned and not too salty. They also have a little fish market section so you can buy fish to take home and cook. Had a bit of a wait even with call ahead seating. It appears call ahead doesn't really put you on a list, so plan accordingly. Place was clean, updated, and very comfortable. Wait staff was focused on moving customers and didn't add much to the experience. Fried calamari appetizer was good, but grilled entree took over 40 minutes after appetizer was finished. My tuna was grilled into a dry brick and the sides were cooling down when I finally received them. For the price, there isn't a worse choice to be made for seafood dinner. Nice fresh seafood. We all started with the clam chowder and it was fine. I had the fisherman's platter and the fish was very well fried, not overly dipped in coating and not greasy. The cole slaw was made in house and was fresh with a nice taste to it. My dining companions had a well grilled fish with fresh veggies, and two lobsters well steamed. The freshness of the food is unchallenged and the prep work on it was very good, all that you can ask for when desiring a nice seafood dinner.
