The grills-cleaned between meal prep when someone has a food sensitivity.
    Daniel L.

What a little gem! Thank you to other Yelpers who helped me find this small takeout place, specializing in Mediterranean (Greek) deliciousness. We ordered the chicken souvlaki plate with rice and salad and it was yummy, with a skewer of chicken that was nicely spiced. They cleaned the grill before cooking as we needed it to be gluten free (GF), which their online ordering supports (along with other sensitivities-a great model for other restaurants to follow). We also had their chicken gyro plate with potatoes and salad with homemade Greek dressing. Yummy!!! The chicken gyro is a chicken breast with Greek spices, (not processed from a vertical spinning spit). When I saw the baklava (NOT GF!), the owner told me his father makes it daily. They thoughtfully packaged it separately for me to take home so there would not be cross contamination with the GF items. It was fresh, with cinnamon, honey, and brought my taste buds to heaven! My family members who are GF gave me appropriate glaring looks as I did a happy dance. After searching for good, authentic Greek takeout in the area, I've found a good place. I will be returning. Hint: let them know what you need and they will accommodate.

I got the chicken Souvlaki Salad and was not expecting it to be this fantastic. I've never had feta so smooth, and the olives, roasted pepper & pepperoncini's were to die for. It was all so simple but elevated from the depth of flavor and high quality ingredients. I'm only visiting the area but if I was local I'd be here every day!!

Side of grilled chicken and side of grilled veggies, in one box

While waiting at the Subaru repair shop, I ordered a side of grilled chicken and a side of grilled veggies. Great way to make an inexpensive and delicious lunch (about $8.50 total). The grilled chicken was BOMB. Great balsamic and herby undertones. The grilled veggies were great too, although it would be fun if they included some broccoli in their veggies. The -1 star is because I feel like this place generally serves overly buttery dishes. Sandwiches I have gotten in the past have been visibly drenched in butter. While tasty, I wouldn't want to eat this much butter often. I think of My Other Kitchen as the Greek lunch version of Haute Coffee -- different offerings but similar vibes. Both are quite aesthetic places, not a place you'd go to rush in and grab food but a place to linger and enjoy a bit.

A simple 'mom n pop' restaurant serving the most authentic Greek delicacies. Do try their Tsatziki - it is simply the best with homemade pita! I tried the lamb with roasted veggies and it was delicious. The lamb burger is the restaurant recommended dish, it looks like. Saw a lot of people ordering it. The ambience is very casual with indoor and outdoor seating. The staff are very friendly and make the dish to your preference. Pricing is moderate and there is limited parking available. You will have to park on the street when it gets busy. This tiny hole in the wall deserves a lot of praise. Do try it if you are in the Boston area. Will I return? : Heck yeah!

Family-owned business that has some of the freshest Greek food that I have ever had. They also have several gluten-free options for my wife.

This price range is more close to the city price range. The lamb shank is flavorful, the salad that comes with it is fresh and the dressing is on the sour side, which is appetizing. The conch fritter came out hot and the batter is nice and not greasy. The ambiance is ok, with some jazz music playing in the background. The service is also ok, not extra friendly nor attentive; everyone was just doing their job.

I appreciated how much this place leans into both cultures from decor showcases both cultures to their balanced menu featuring dishes from both. There is ample seating at this place and dont let the construction outside deter you because they are open. We ordered the cheese manakish to start, and this might have been my favorite dish. Balanced with two types of cheese with a light airy texture to it kept it from feeling too dense. The pita its on is crunchy and thin, and theres a drizzle of sauce, likely some form of pesto, that cuts the flavor making it a truly enjoyable dish. We also ordered the chicken kebabs and roasted jerk chicken. The kebabs were a great portion with tender chicken, some greens, and grains. I personally could have used more tzakai, but thats a personal preference. Overall though, the meal did not feel heavy and I left feeling full but not overtly stuffed which I was happy with. My husband's jerk chicken was a sizable dish. The chicken was tender and fell right off the bone, and the pilaf had a nice flavor to it. Overall we really enjoyed our meals. The service can take some time, but its a super small staff so just be patient.

When you first walk in, it's a bit quiet and you have to wait for someone to come from the back to greet you, but be patient because once you're seated, service is attentive and available whenever you need it. There are lots of rustic-looking tables, which give it a sort of homey feel, and some tables can fit 12+, so they can definitely accommodate large groups. My colleagues always get something different, but I get the same thing every time: the grilled boneless pork shoulder and it is so good. The pork shoulder is a bit fatty and comes out juicy and flavorful from the grill - droolworthy. It comes with sauerkraut, but it's not your typical sauerkraut; it's more like a mild slaw with just enough acid to cut through the fatty pork. Also comes with your choice of side and sauce. The garlic toom is the only option in my opinion (of course, they have others), but get ready to have kickin' breath for the rest of the day. Others have gotten the lamb tongue, lentil soup, falafel, beef shawarma, borscht, pelmeni, eggplant rolls, and they have all been hits. Don't think I would ever come out of my way to this restaurant if I didn't know about it, but it's totally worth the trip!

I have been running by Watertown Square for years smelling this aroma, but finally had the chance to taste the source. The cheese bread is yummy, but the egg really brings it together. It is unassuming and semi-tucked away; you wouldn't actually notice them unless you're actively looking. However, that unassuming feeling disappears once you find yourself inside the establishment. There is this feeling that I cannot explain that sends shivers up my spine. One can't help but feel welcome here. Rose is an amazingly friendly soul that just puts you at ease with the tone of her voice. Even the other customers are friendly with the way they acknowledge you as you walk by towards wherever you're seated. There is happy banter in the air and friends of the establishment would often show up and make themselves immediately at home. You get the point. You're welcome here. But what makes it so special to me now is always the food. And for what they already offer to start, that states quite a bit to what I think of this place. There are many Persian/Middle Eastern fare in this area and most serve the usual so nothing seems to really stand out. That is, at least, until you order their Jujeh Kabob (grilled Cornish hen). Sounds simple, looks simple, but the depth of flavor and the tonguegasmic moments you have partaking of the dish changes their level in the culinary game in the area. It was so good, so so good, I felt completely blown away. I raved about it to Rose, who then told the chef-owner, and then told her I'd be back the next day just to try it again. No way it could be that good I thought. I had to come back again to make sure it was indeed the case (instead of ordering it for "dessert" right in the moment). Well, I showed up at lunch again the next day for exactly the same dish. I just had to. I was hooked. I was made a perma-fan. As I write this, I know I'm about to do what most crazy foodies do as they gain traction in their mind. Get ready and go get some more. Time to wrap this up and head there. See you around some time. Definitely recommend their Jujeh Kabob beyond words.
