Great salon its so unique and open, the receptionist offered us a drink and shortly we were taken to get our hair shampooed. I loved the girl who washed my hair, sadly can't remember her name but great scalp massage. Afterwards, I was seated in a chair to await my stylist and was offered another beverage which I declined. This was my second visit to Janet at Atlantic Studio 425 - and I am forever grateful a friend recommended her. Yesterday I when I for a cut; she did a great job the first time and I intended to just repeat that. As I sat in the chair I mentioned I had an event to go to that evening. Well, Janet jumped in, with offers to help me look my best. She used a great hair tint that really brightened up my hair, she did makeup - MIchelle added lashes. So about a year ago I had a freak accident with my hair. I have naturally really light brown hair and decided to go dark. I made the mistake by going to Rite-Aid and buying a box dye. Garnier Mahogandy Medium Brown. It came out WAY to dark. Looked like a dry black mess. So I heard of this stuff that can strip color out. Again, bought it at a drug store. The first time I did it it worked! So I tried to re-dye my hair with a lighter brown. Came out black again! So I did the "strip out color" stuff again. This time I did it three times. My hair was ORANGE!! I was crying and so upset with myself for even trying to dye it in the first place. I searched and searched for places to go to and found Atlantic Studio. I had never been there (this was at their old studio) and didn't know anyone who worked there. I asked them if I could come in and have them fix my hair. The next day I came in and saw VINNIE! I told her everything that I did and put in my hair and how I didn't want it too dark. All I wanted was a slight change from my light brown to medium. She said she had a vision and totally created it! She SAVVED me! It was kind of dark for the first week and then washed out into this beautiful medium warm brown. The best color I had in years!! This year: about a couple weeks ago. I did Ombre at a different studio with a different hair stylist. Bad move. First it was bleached and not toned. Then I went back to get it toned. While the stylist did a good job on the colors, it just looked too dipped than I wanted, and the blonde just wasn't what i envisioned it to be. So me being me, got a box dye and tried to correct the blond myself. It ended up ashy and green. Needless to say, I should stop trying to do stuff myself. I remembered the magic that VINNIE created a year before. SO I went in for a consultation and to see if she remembered me. The moment we saw each other she knew who I was! It had been an entire year! So I went back to her today and she fixed my hair exactly how I wanted it. We kept it my natural color and she corrected my ashy green blond hair to match my natural color. Not only is she a sweetheart and makes the time go by so fast, she is a genius and amazing at what she does. If there is anyone I would recommend to trust on your hair, it's Vinnie! Five stars for the new studio. Five stars for the positive energy all of the staff has. Five stars for my girl Vinnie, who hooks it up all the time! I absolutely love this place, I use to come with my mom in highschool and I recently went last week. I love this new location and the way it's set up! I usual would see Liz but I set up an appointment with Lizzette and was not disappointed. She was so much fun and open making me feel at ease, which isn't the easiest with me and strangers. I am a 53 year old guy who goes grey around the temples and sides. I have used the OTC 'Just for Men' product in the past to mixed results. This last time I left it on too long and while the sides and back looked ok, my longer hair on top basically turned from my medium brown to fairly black. I went to this place and explained my problem and one of their stylists, Lizette, took care of me and got me back to my original color and then styled it very well. I was expecting to pay triple digits but the entire process was under $50. She truly is an artist and knows exactly what to do and make you feel comfortable and welcome throughout the entire time. wow! i went to atlantic studio for a spa mani/pedi today and boy, was it a treat! molly was adorable and so skilled. i felt like i'd spent an afternoon with a girlfriend PLUS got a fantastic mani/pedi. the spa experience is really worth the price. the paraffin makes a huge difference for the hands and cuticles and the scrub/mask for the feet and legs (especially for someone who works retail and is on her feet all day) was refreshing. i highly recommend molly and atlantic studo! read more

I'm not a chatty customer, but Vinnie is great. She doesn't force awkward conversation, and it's a comfortable vibe. I've been happy with my cut there so far. Like many of the folks writing reviews, I purchased a 4 part package. This review will concern the first 2 services, as I have not yet completed the other two. Visit 1-Hair Cut/Deep Conditioning Treatment Visit 2- 30 min facial Visit 3- Manicure (not yet completed) Visit 4- Blowout/Style (not yet completed) Visit #1- 2 stars I had scheduled an appointment about a week in advance. I spoke with a receptionist about my hair type/cut expectations and she paired me with Liz. (shortish hair, edgy style, very thick hair). Unfortunately Liz was unable to make the appointment and another gal-Nina-cut my hair. I say unfortunate because it took about 20 minutes for me to be taken on the 'tour' of the salon and about 2 hours for my hair cut. On top of that, she was unable to execute the cut and need assistance from another stylist (I'm all for asking for help when you need it, but running over to ask someone questions every 10 minutes is sad) When I was presented with the finished product it did not suit my hair (she should have thinned it out more) and did not look like the photo I took in. She did offer $10 off my next color treatment, but when processing is going to cost upwards of $100, that just didn't seem enough. Visit #2- 5 stars Atlantic Studio, I would not be coming back for the last two visits if it was not for Rosie. Give that woman a raise, she is amazing! Rosie was very professional. She asked all the right questions prior to starting (allergies, concerns, skin care @ home, etc) and was onto my lack of hydration right away (you have dehydration lines-drink more water or you'll get wrinkles!) The service was relaxing and amazing. Thank you so much Rosie! I sincerely hope my next two visits are enough to bring my opinion of this place up to 5 stars. ps...while the desk staff did not go out of their way to be over friendly, they were courteous and certainly not rude. read more

I went for a 'full monty' and boy was Rosie great... i think her name was Rosie she was great... really tries to make you comfortable. That was my first and well it still hurts just because it does so i haven't gone back but i'm thinking about going back... but she really did all she could to make it less painful and as most comfortable as possible. I haven't used anything else because well once i tried to to call to make an apt. but whoever answers the phones does have a tendency to not answer and if you leave a message they just might not call you back. Mind you I live close by and it's not like they're screaming with clients, but since they do charge quite a bit of money- they only need a few people to come in i guess. read more
