PROS: Plenty of free parking. Cons: Most fo the restaurants are chains. I came here last night for the first time. I pass by it a lot whenever I come to Monterey Park and I saw it in the on The Fung Bros. music video parody recently. From what I understand, this place is a planned community. The lower level is for shopping, while the upper levels are for condos. I like this idea a lot. I would move here if the condos weren't so expensive. So for this place, all the spaces haven't been filled yet, so there are still more to come. I would be coming here again. I think this a great place to hangout. read more

Neat place! Was in Alhambra for a wedding and the lady and I were looking for some time to kill. Saw this place because she saw a Daiso (japanese store) within it. Good place to shop. It is a very safe place. 24 hour fitness, AMC. 24 hour security on the plaza. After a big dinner you can just walk it off. They have a lot of restaurants and retail store. read more

This shopping center and residence has a lot of potential. It was my first time visiting, so I'm not sure how long it's been open. There's lots of retail vacancies, and coming soon signs posted with help wanted signs too. Maybe I came on an odd night. Some stores were open and some were closed. I did enjoy watching the music videos that played over the big screens at the center above the escalators. Where else can you watch music videos these days? Surely not MTV. I can tell there are many vacancies in the residence above too. There were only a few lights on. I think the commercials playing between the music videos are quite annoying. I would hate to listen to them everyday if I lived here. I'm grateful for free parking, but relying on the painted arrows on the pavement of their underground parking isn't enough. Their signage is too small, and doesn't stand out. Be careful parking here! If I wasn't allergic to shellfish then I'd love to try eating at the restaurants here. Other than that, I doubt I would frequent this place much. read more

It's a real nice place to chill and grab a bite to eat with friends in MPK. There is a Daiso located in the plaza with Asian style food like Curry House and Tasty Garden. There are also plenty of tea shops and ice cream shops. Being that it is an Asian plaza, some places only take cash. Who doesn't bring cash when you are in MPK or Alhambra? The AMC is hit or miss on new release movies. They do show some indie Asian films from time to time. All in all its a good place to kill time or meet up before going out. read more

This is a small outdoor mall with movies, food, free parking, a gym, and several retail shops. A few of which are high end. Dozens of apartments are stacked on top of it. It's like a mini Colorado Paseo. It's small, clean, and has tables and chairs scattered about. It includes a Johnny Rockets, Curry House, and Cold Stone Creamery among it's choices. The theater is AMC, a 24 Hour Fitness also resides. Don't expect too much, a happening scene, or a hip place to pose. This isn't it. Come and park to eat, see a movie, browse a bit, or work out. Then leave. You won't be disappointed. If you are, go elsewhere. This isn't Citywalk or Silverlake, folks. It's Monterey Park fwiw. This place might be good for shopping or dinning, but, if you are looking for an apartment in Atlantic Times Square, either rent or buy, I suggest you look somewhere else. This place is poor managed. Our designated parking space had been occupied by other vehicles many times. Those vehicles had no parking decals and some of them didn't even have license plates. According to the HOA policy, they should be towed away, but, the security or the parking manager(s) never did. Recently, our elevator broke down for almost a month (10-10-2017 to 11-7-2017). We have to walk to a long distance to use the other elevator. We called the HOA office quite a few times. At first, they said they would fix it soon. Then, they told us to call their head quarter office. Someone in the head quarter office said they need to get parts to fix and there is no ETA on when the elevator could be fixed. This morning, my father went to the HOA office and asked them again about the elevator. At the end, he was pushed brutally out of the office by one of the security guys. Because of the push, he felt on the ground and suffered quite some inquiry and had to see doctor right away. .... We try to get become a memeber in the HOA committee but the majority vote is controlled by the original developer. So, there is not even a single chance for the residents to get involved and make a change in HOA. In short, this place is horrible to live in. Do not buy or rent. read more

Parking is free but horrible -- especially on Sunday mornings. I really only come to this plaza for the dim sum restaurant, movie theater (AMC), and gym (24 Hour). Other than that, I know people enjoy coming for Phoenix Desserts, Daiso, and the arcade. Not one of my favorite plazas to go to, but I will make the trek out when I need to. This place is one of those "one stop" places. Restaurants , Theater , boba , Cafe, shave ice, shoes store.....so pretty cool place to hang out and socialized. There is the dim sum place up stair which i find to be pretty good food . good service. and reasonable price. Parking can be hard to find from time to time...but overall its a nice place to be at. read more

I live here but the music from Casino Morongo is constantly playing loudly, it's a noise pollution!!! My son is having a hard time studying and we have a hard time to rest. If you consider living here, make sure they are willing to stop the music! I filed many complaints but no one listens. read more

Ugh.. How could you NOT love this place? Maybe people are too picky, or I'm too easy to please, but there are plenty of good things going for this plaza. - Movie theater. Yay! I don't have to go all the way to the Renaissance, except.. there are times where they won't show the same movie in both locations, or some movies will play at one and not the other. But ATS shows some chinese indie films too, which is awesome. :) - Parking and it's freaking FREE. good lord.. i know parking in LA is scarce as it is, but it's free! There are like 3 or 4 levels of parking here, how could you not find parking? Maybe you have bad parking karma or something, but I always seem to find parking right by the central escalators by P2. - Food! zomg. From shaved ice to a bakery or more, to open late eateries, and desserts and fabulous dining at Tokyo Wako, what more could you ask for? There's even a Lee's Sandwich/Coffee shop here for your classic Vietnamese coffee kick! - Feelin guilty after eating like a pig? The very large and very visible 24 hour fitness is there to sweat it all off. w00t! - Condos living upstairs? omg.. If I could afford it, I would get one. I mean, they're nice - obviously new - and you can get plastered from drinking or eating at Tokyo Wako or too tired after a movie, no problem! your room is upstairs! All that's missing is a freaking school, and if I lived there, I would never have a reason to go outside their borders. I love this place. from the gym to the theater this is my go to spot for a movie and best of all you don't have to fight the crowd. I like phoenix here for desert which i do bring into the theater sneakily like a ninja. I like the asian cosmetic stores all around. All the japanese make up i love is easy access here becasue they have several stores that sell japanese goodies and all in walking distance. I just LOVE this plaza. Only thing I don't like is their parking, but i hear they're working on it. so hopefully it they fix this problem soon so I can change my four star to five star. read more

Parking is a nightmare! I can't imagine how it will be like when everything's opened and packed with people. Be careful from getting hit by bad drivers in this weirdly made and super compact parking lot. Just because there's an AMC, a few popular Chinese restaurants and boutiques doesn't mean it's interesting. You can go to these places at other locations a few miles away. The model homes are pretty entertaining though. It's fun to poke around them and overhear some getting excited at those inexpensive interior decor and considering to invest in a 400-800k UNIT near the busy I-10 freeway. read more

Surprised by the ratings... I have no complaints about this place, it's just a chill place to hang out, especially for students who live around and have nothing better to do. It's a rather clean, spacious, and pretty place to shop. However, it is mostly just restaurants so it's not really a place to plan a whole-day outing at- but I recommend it to people just looking for a place to catch a movie, eat lunch and maybe do a lil bit of cute shopping at stores like Daiso Japan and the Tokyo store :) I see a lot of complaints about parking, but I personally never had to wait much long the few times I drove there. read more

I m living here . almost every 2week . two or three guys r playing music in mall, really loud, complain to mannager but no reply. Less care of tenant. parking structure is misable. resident has their own parking space. but they all use the same entrance and exit with other customer. Parking structure design is questionable. It's also not maintained well (all door handles are broken).

Lots of shops here and free parking (but remember where you parked; I've almost lost my car before). It's pretty fun to browse the shops. Items can be a bit pricey at speciality shops, but Daiso has some cute, cheap things. My friends and I come by for dim sum, and I would recommend going early to avoid the crowd. Then you can saunter around a bit to work off your incredibly full tummy! read more

This plaza has a lot of potential. Relatively new with a 24 hour fitness and AMC move theatre as its anchor. I like the luxury residences above the retail units throughout the whole plaza. There is plenty of parking underground. The problem is it was a ghost town when I went. The plaza is actually quite small when you walk around. The idea was great, but the execution wasn't. I don't know if Monterey Park has the consumers to support a plaza like this. read more

When I lived here in '09, there really wasn't much to do. You had Cook's Tortas, Elite Dim Sum, the LA Fitness, and Hot Pot Hot Pot. Aside from that, mpk night life really wasn't popping. Atlantic Times Square has totally changed that. There is a movie theater, lots of restaurants, and lots of potential for growth (in the form of empty real estate). The parking in the garage is a little awkward, but it's FREE. The owners of this complex could have been dicks and charge for parking, but they didn't, so I'm grateful for that. read more

This is quiet gem in Monterey Park, just about 20 min from Glendale. Has AMC theatres, a 24 hr Fitness Gym, and a buffet of restaurants. It's a good alternative to Chinatown Downtown. Parking is free and restaurants are very very affordable. read more

Although parking is crazy I rated this place because of all the variety of shops it had around here. They have so many places to eat from dumplings to HK cafe style to dim sum and many more they have excellent spot for froyo @fluff ice they have a gym and stores like daiso and you can live here so this place has pretty much everything! This has been mentioned a lot lately on tvb.. yes in so cal.. we do have tvb.. lol.. directv.. anyways.. on to my review.. they have some pretty good eateries.. they have the amc.. i wouldnt see myself living there since it can get noisy.. especially if they have people singing at night time.. this sorta of arrangement where you have stores on the lowerl level and eating places.. does remind me of hong kong a bit.. for those who have been.. u should be familiar with such setting.. for those who dont.. well hong kong has limited space. and so they have shopping centers.. on the bottom.. and on top is the living quarters.. which are apt.. /flats... so yeah.... they just need more stores.. the sitting area is fine.. the bathrooms are tidy for now.. yet they need a bigger restroom area.... thats about it... read more

A few days ago I finally visited this place for the first time and was NOT impressed. Parking lot was packed but the plaza looked dead. The only place that was packed was the 24 Hour Fitness center. All of the restaurants appeared empty. Don't know if I'll go back. read more

Been here a couple times. This place has really turned the local area around making it more modern and what not. I can't even remember what the plaza was before. There are food places, AMC Theatres, and 24 Fitness. The parking isn't too bad as there is quite a bit; however, everyone tends to park towards the middle. If one parks near the AMC Theatres then more likely to find more parking. The underground parking lot may be confusing to exit but you'll eventually get out. Can be crowded during the weekend when all the Asian folk come by to watch a movie or eat. read more

A gym, tons of new restaurants and cafe, decent but awkward parking. What's not to like. Well.. this isn't a place I would enjoy a stroll or a day in. Think of Americana at Brand. Now that's a place I wouldn't mind spending an entire day in. There's more to a place than restaurants and businesses. ATS, I feel, doesn't have a personality. It is a shallow attempt and creating a community hangout (I don't see families here, only teens on a night out). I think this has much to offer for the teenager and young adult, but the lack of a free component is a big turnoff for me. You pretty much have to spend money here to enjoy anything. read more

This plaza gets 4 stars because it has fluff ice and daiso and free parking. For some reason the parking lot is always full, so I always get really excited when it takes less than 10 minutes to find parking. Saturday and Friday nights are the worst. Otherwise, if you come in from the Atlantic entrance it isn't so bad. People always drive really slow and take forever waiting for a spot to open up near the Hellman entrance for some reason. Once you get away from these inconsiderate drivers, it's not so bad. read more

The design layout of this new place is a bit odd, particularly the design to enter the complex with your car and park. However, it's good to have a place with several Asian restaurants in one place, plenty of parking spots, and a new AMC theater...so it does make a nice place to visit for a dinner and movie. read more

It has gone through alot of development for trying to be a modern venue for asians to gather with alot of restaurants coming and going but it is now doing pretty good with many restaurants that have survived from poor business in the past.
