My daughter scheduled a trip check, battery check and have them look at her front tires due to a clicking noise. She was heading out of town the next day and wanted some peace of mind. Bill, put the car in the lift and did his inspection after he checked the engine area. He brought my daughter to her car and showed her a couple areas of concern That will need to be addressed in the future but not critical at this point. My daughter was really impressed with Bill's professionalism and willingness to explain things to her. She is a grad student at NCSU and needs to develop a relationship with an honest and reputable service center. From what she told me, it looks like she's found it. I went because it was highly recommended, got there a little late because of issues with my car. The owner went and looked at my car for 2 secs and immediately told the nice lady I was talking to tell me he can't do anything with it, he didn't take a tire off lift it up or anything. I only asked for a diagnostic , not for anything to repaired just to tell me what could be damaged. He didn't even take the time to do that. But constantly said "LOVED free money" meaning had I made the choice to get the diagnostic he would have told me there was nothing wrong with the car and sent me about my business. He originally told me I might have to wait until Thursday for the repair, but to my surprise, he had everything fixed in one day. They replaced my radiator fan for hundreds less than what I was quoted elsewhere, didn't charge extra for refilling antifreeze, and were honest about what actually needed attention. Matt also let me know I could safely wait a bit longer before replacing my tires, which I really appreciated. Took my 2017 Hyundai in for a 120,000-mile service and oil change. When I got home, I opened the glove compartment and it fell open quickly and roughly instead of opening gently as it had always done before. When I opened the glove compartment a few days later, the door fell off, spilling the contents onto the floor. I took it back, and they quickly installed some clips they said they had forgotten to install when they changed the cabin filter; that fixed the problem. I guess they did everything else okay, but the carelessness about the glove compartment door makes me wonder. Also, they charged me for synthetic oil even though I told them my car did not need synthetic. I won't go back. read more

It is the best auto repair service I have ever experienced. I own four old and new vehicles, and everyone has been in for service for some reason. On several occasions, it was a simple diagnosis or fix, and they didn't charge me anything. He saved me a fortune on my last visit with my Audi Q7. I had overfilled the Audi with oil and was advised not to drive it. I towed it to a local oil change garage, but they couldn't remove the oil plug. I took it to a full-service auto repair shop next door, but they couldn't remove the plug either. They wanted $1,600 to replace the oil pan. I called Bill at NC Complete Auto Care. He suggested towing it to his shop. His shop is 25 minutes away, which is why I didn't take it there in the first place. It's really hard to find mechanics that you can trust. I had a gas smell coming from the back of the car that another mechanic could not find. The other place replaced something that probably didn't need replacing and then wanted to charge me another diagnostic fee for the same issue. This place went above and beyond and found a hole in the top of my gas tank after lowering the tank to check it. I was pretty ecstatic because I'd been dealing with a gas smell for a year. read more

I called and made the appointment over the phone and they set me up for the next day which worked out great. I had new tires put on my Ford F150 and wanted to insure I didn't have alignment issues. They got me in right away upon arrival. Checked it out and found one wheel a bit off. They fixed me right up. They also found that the "felt" on my under carriage was partially off. They repaired it and looked things over for other issues. I had just had the oil changed a few days before and I'm quite sure it was the national chain I used. They were an average bunch. Had I known that this place existed I would have absolutely taken both my daughters vehicle and my vehicle to them for the full service. They earned my business that day and I've been bringing both cars here ever since. Great place for honest car repairs. Matt is an outstanding mechanic! Honesty. That alone is worth its weight in gold!

I had a battery that needed to be replaced under the certified auto repair program, a warranty program. NC Complete Auto Care was one of the mechanics with that program. As it's closer to my house than the other mechanic, I sent my husband there with instructions to specifically mention that he needed the battery replaced under the certified auto repair program. Long story short, the employee he spoke with, after asking the brand of battery, told him they did not carry that brand and to go somewhere else. My husband pointed to a sign that said "Certified Auto Repair Program" and told him, "but it's under that program". The man insisted he could not help him and sent him off. I was pretty annoyed when he told me as he spent a long time in line and ended up going to 2 more places after that before he got it taken care of. So I decided to call and speak to a manager to ask why this happened. First off, I'll say that I am a reasonable person and can deal with miscommunication. Really, I can. What I cannot deal with is being ignored, being gaslit, and/or being talked to like I am an idiot. The manager I spoke with managed to accomplish 2 out of 3 and both gaslit me and talked to me like I am an idiot. Impressive! I asked to speak with a manager and politely asked if he was familiar with the certified auto program. He recognized me immediately and launched into how he overheard the entire conversation between my husband and his employee and that my husband never mentioned the program, claiming he simply said, "it's under warranty." I've known my husband for a really long time. He's a very astute man. I replied that I believe my husband. Manager actually had the gall to tell me, "Well, you weren't there." I asked, "were you the one speaking to him?" He replied, "I heard him." I repeated, "were you the one helping him?" He said, "No." He kept insisting they would've treated him differently had they known he was with the repair program. I let him know we went to the other mechanic and that's where we would take our business. I told hubby about the conversation. He was a little mystified how this manager could've heard so much of the conversation because he was talking to other customers the entire time. So, again, I can deal with miscommunication. If Mr. Manager had responded in kind, with a "that was an unfortunate miscommunication" sort of response, then whatever. Mistakes happen. So, here's how to not respond to a customer. 1. So, I'll start with the pros of this place, because things started out on a good note, or so I thought. I went to my tire shop because my truck had been shaking pretty bad and they didn't do alignments there but they recommended this place, and it was nearby so I called for an appointment. The guy was nice, he got me in quickly and was friendly at first, I think his name was Mike but not completely certain. So it only took about 20 minutes, great. Things were looking up. When he called me up to let me know the results, he said something about that it was actually the tires that were the problem, so the alignment hadn't fixed it. It was still "shaking like crazy" in his words. I said, "wait what? so, it didn't need an alignment?" And Mike(?) said "no it did need one, but that didn't stop the shaking because the tires are the problem. If I'd known the problem you were having I could have told you what it was." Ok..... YOU do this for a living, not me! Why wouldn't you ASK ME what the problem was?? No question about anything, why do you think you need an alignment, nothing. Then he said, which I'm not even sure why he added this because it really made no sense, "if I'd seen how worn the tires were I would have known that was the problem and not something an alignment could fix." WHAT!? So if you had LOOKED at the tires before you did anything, you know, some sort of visual inspection maybe, literally not even popping the hood, then I could have saved money and time and gone back to the tire shop. Nice. After I got done paying for this needless service, I went back to the tire shop. They inspected all the tires and said that 2 of them would need to be replaced soon, but overall they were fine. My conundrum is WTF did they do or not do but charge me for at this place?? If I go back to my tire shop and even they are telling me the tires aren't the problem, and their job is to sell me tires so I think they'd do or say anything to sway me in that direction, then I believe that this guy was definitely lying to me. And ripping me off. I will never do business at this place again and I will warn others not to as well. I should have known by the empty parking lot that something was amiss. She told me that this was the place her family had been coming to for years. I was tired of the service I was receiving from another chain and promised myself to get my next oil change done here. Very clean with a nice little waiting area with a TV, coffee, popcorn and crackers.. The guy at the desk was knowledgable and gave me a good understanding about the alignment report. I had gone to AAA for an oil change and they performed an inspection and recommended a wheel bearing diagnostic for $130. I then got new tires at Discount Tires on Hwy 55 and they recommended NC Complete Auto Care to me. I called and they quickly told me they did not charge for a wheel bearing diagnostics since repair if needed would be expensive enough. They worked with me to figure out the most convenient time for me to bring my car in and when my car was in their shop they brought me into the garage to show me how they test for bad wheel bearings to prove to me that it needed repair. While I was still there, they found damage to my CV axle when beginning to work on the wheel bearing and once again asked me to come to the garage to show me what was wrong before repairing. I greatly appreciate them showing me just exactly what was wrong rather than just telling me all these things needed to be fixed with no proof.
