On cleaning day, I left the keys and Oahu Professionals went to work and oh boy, did they go to work. They did a phenomenal job, they got into all the nooks, crannies, and everything else in between. They pay very close attention to the details and you can tell they take lots of pride in their work. We had renters in one of our units for abt 3 months. It was newly renovated and with new appliances. When they left, the place was in disarray with dirty furniture left behind and dog or possibly human fences caked to the floors in several rooms of the home. Melanie and her team were excellent!!! I have before pictures of what it looked like and how it looked after they did a very thorough cleaning and disinfection of the place. Thank you again Melanie and team for saving our home. The con: They lost out on 3 stars because they originally told me 11 and I had to contact them the night before to ensure that the time was still good. I was told that it might have been closer to noon, which I was fine with. The day of the cleaning for my move out inspection, I didn't hear from them until I contacted Dennis around 12:15 and after that, I was contacting the cleaners directly about every 30-60 minutes to find out if they were on the way. Eventually they showed up around 3pm. They finished up around 5 or 6 and it was getting dark already. My apartment was poorly lit, so by that time it was hard to see much and it looked good in the moment. The day of my move out inspection (2 days later), I got to my apartment about 30 minutes early and took another look around and was very disappointed and, so was my land lord when she showed up. We saw that one of the screens was not put back up and was actually sitting in front of the window. The shower curtain rod wasn't put back up, it was actually just placed in the towel closet. I had to sit there and wipe down the blinds again due to a dirt build up. The lint trap in the dryer was not taken out. There was a decent amount of water streaks on the wood floor, I assume from their carpet cleaner. The bath tub looked like minimal effort was put into it. And there was one of the blinds that had broken off in the master bed room and also placed in the closet. None of these things had been disclosed to me when the cleaners had finished. I will admit, I should've looked closer when they finished but even the little things like the lint trap or the screen could've been easily avoided or noted to me. I expected a little better from a $400 service.

She sent me an invoice via email to pay $100 deposit. On day of cleaning, Dennis texted me that his team of brother of sister were here. Male employee who was originally from Panama did a good job of cleaning 1 bathroom, cleaning windows and vacuuming for bedroom and living room. He called Dennis to let him know that 2nd bathroom with walk in shower was super dirty. Dennis texted me that I will be charged a little more for deep cleaning. Female employee did a great job on cleaning walk in shower Both of employees went over 2 hours by 30 minutes to finish. My amended invoice was $340.41 with tax.

I was told it was because it was "a bad situation". Sure, I can understand that but if the work was going to be challenging, Kaui's Kleaners could have quoted me accordingly before accepting the project or just decline to do the work after evaluating what they saw on site better. What resulted was a frustrating waste of my time and an unprofessional job not worth the money I paid-- even with the "small" discount I received--no matter how they said they strove to do their best. It seems that the project had inadequate staffing (based on security camera footage of people coming and going to the house) and perhaps a lack of or distracted supervision based on what I came across when I inspected inside the house the next day. Why offer to return to "correct" the work after numerous discrepancies (basic, routine things that an experienced company should have spotted and taken care of) were brought to their attention after they said the job was completed and payment requested? Those should have been handled thoroughly the first time. For these reasons, I can't recommend this company. I already told Kaui that. This was the first time that the Yelp reviews failed me at a time when I really needed a job done well.
