Horrible after placement service. I called more than 4 months ago and each time they told me that they have a lot of customers awaiting repairs. Initially they said it is a 2 months backblog. So i waited for 2 months and no call back. I called back and they said that my repair is on their top of the list and still no callback. Called again today and was given the same story without any time getting back to my repairs. Don't trust this company about fulfilling their warranty. read more

Great experience from initial consult to final result. We had a virtual meetings to discuss ideas and plan the work, then they came to our home (always masked) for measurements and to develop the plan further. They had great ideas to make the space even more livable and "together" feeling. Follow-up virtual meeting included a computer render of the site so we could see it before we started. Work began on time, with fully-equipped demo crews. Progress was swift: demolition, grading, drainage, pavers, fence, and pergolas took about 4 weeks. Project supervisors were in touch regularly to let us know what was coming up for the week - even letting us know there would be a lull for a few days when material was held up. We would highly recommend working with Rocco & team at Atlas Pavers. In short, we had a project that included an RV pad & 2 paths around an existing garden landscape. Rocco (designer consultant), and Candido (project manager), and the rest of the team were great to work with for my backyard renovation. I had 900 sq ft or so of dirt and old concrete slabs that needed to be demo and replaced with belgard pavers. Total time was 5 days from M-Fri. That's as efficient as it gets. Great communication from Rocco throughout. Candido came to visit the site on a daily basis which was great. Both of them were responsive to my concerns, questions, and needs. Regarding the rest of the team, they did a good job with preparation to avoid any damage to my existing pavers on my driveway and walkway. They did the proper 7.5 in of dig up and replaced with geotex fabric, paver base, and bedding sand. They did a good job with grading, but there were a few spots that were not graded properly. I would say 5 sq ft x 2 spots out of 900 sq ft that held water and didn't go to the nearby drain. That's not bad considering that's 10 sq ft out of 900. They also helped me put in the drains. They use polymeric sand and not regular sand, which was great. You can have a quote with sealer or not, up to you. They use Glaze N Seal Paver Sealer either natural look or enhanced wet look. Cleanup was good overall. I would recommend if you have extensive amounts of vegetation, tree stumps, roots etc, that you hire a tree removal service instead of having Atlas do it. They are not specialized in doing that and will charge a lot more than a tree removal service would charge. Overall I recommend Atlas for your paving needs. Our backyard was due for a remodel after years of neglect we searched Angie's List/Home Advisor and spoke to multiple contractors to bid on my project based on what I thought I would like to have on designed in my backyard. Out of the dark, I decided to look on Yelp to invite one more contractor to bid and decided to reach out to Atlas Pavers to see what they had to offer. When Lima came to our house, I was a bit skeptical and I explained to him what I wanted (steps here, steps there, flat here, etc) and because of his years of actual hands on experience with installing pavers, he envisioned something that I did not think of. He said that he can make our entire backyard flat and it would look great. He said "trust me, it will look good." Normally, when a sales person says "trust me", you should run the other way. However, Lima gained my trust andexplained to me exactly what it would look like, how high the pavers would be to the house after installation, how the pavers should be curved in the corners. Atlas Pavers was not the cheapest bid, but I still chose them because Lima gained my trust that day. When the installation began, Candido was the lead installer and clearly Lima and Candido has worked together on several projects before mine. I feel that they are so cohesive working together. Candido did an excellent job and paid attention to detail to my yard. Yes, there were a little bit of nit picky punchlist items from me, but Candido fulfilled every single one of them and I am extremely happy that Candido worked on my yard. This guy is absolutely amazing. If you are lucky enough to have this dynamic dual team work on your yard, you will be in great hands. You may pay a little more (I mean just a little), but you really do get great service, installation and great people working on your project. When Lima says "trust me, it will look good." Trust him, this guy has an eye for this stuff. This guy is incredible. Thank you Lima and Candido, you may see that this is just "another project." Gabriel was the project manager for a paver and low wall installation that was recently completed in a portion of our back yard. This was the second time in seven years that Atlas Pavers did work for us. The first job was a paver and low wall installation in our driveway and entry area and, after having three other contractors look at this backyard job, the choice of contractors became easy. We had a general idea of what we would like the finished area to look like, but the three other contractors who gave me estimates tried to tell us what THEY would like. With Gabriel's ideas and suggestions the end result was even nicer than what we had anticipated, and at half the price of one the other bids we received. As other reviewers have mentioned, Gabriel was very responsive to any questions that I had either before or during the job, and the crew worked very hard. After five days, when the job was finished, they left both the yard and the area in front of the house where the material had been dropped, very clean. Gabriel was the project manager for my paver installation. He was friendly and responsive from start to finish and he answered all of my questions promptly. The job was not without glitches though - the demo crew hit a fence post and didn't tell me. When Gabriel got them to replace the post, it was still not done right, so he had them fix it again. I setup an appointment for backyard remodeling. Kenya was on time, discussed the project, took all the measurements and said she will get back to me within a week. It never happened and I pinged her twice on her phone. No response either. It is ok to choose not to do the job, but it is not courteous to ignore your customer and not update on why you don't want to pursue. The price wasn't discussed and I was ready to do it right away. So not sure what was the issue. Waste of time on both ends. I'm glad I did not go through with them for being so unprofessional. read more

Atlas Pavers was the only company out of the 6 I had contacted previously to actually get back to me with an appointment for a consultation. Candido was our project lead/designer and he was able to take my concept for a yard and make it a reality. The Atlas team did a great job on our yard. The pavers are level and drain properly, the artificial turf they installed looks so good our neighbors think it's real grass and they even installed a water feature for us which we purchased off WayFair. During the process the work site was kept extremely clean and were respectful of the property. Even when Candido was not on site the workers were respectful and made sure every detail was to design. One of them even spent half an hour with me working to make sure the "S" curve where the pavers meets the turf was correct. Truly wonderful work. Lastly, we had some late additions to the project which Candido was able to facilitate which included some additional lighting and rocks for the area around the water feature. We're so overjoyed with how the yard turned out so a big thank you to Candido and his team for all their hard work! Note that they are pricy but honestly . . . you get what you pay for. When we decided to get the project of getting work done on our yard, we wanted someone who would understand what we wanted to do, have the expertise to get that vision into a reality and complete it quickly too ( we wanted to complete the project before the rains hit) , and of course come within our budget- and voila - Atlas Pavers checked all the boxes.  We got Belgard Catalina Barcelona pavers done with Charcoal border in about 2200 sq feet and about 400 sq feet of artificial turf - with a raised patio for a gazebo in the back having a bullnose and lights underneath. Would like to give a special shout out to Kenya Tavares - she was really instrumental in making our project look so good- she was constantly on top of all things, making sure the crew knows exactly how the design is and going out of her way to get things smoothed out for us. On one occasion, she was at our place till 11:30 pm getting the pavers light installed such that it can be ready for my upcoming birthday . The entire project from demolition to finish - was completed in 10 days !!! Kudos to the Atlas Pavers team !! We enlarged and replaced a smaller brick patio next to our pool deck and now have plenty of space for an outdoor wicker chair grouping as well as the wrought iron table and chair set. The patio is slightly sloped for drainage and the guys did a nice job of circling around the base of two large trees. The workers don't speak much English, so if you have a communication problem or are unclear about when pavers will be delivered, call the office and the very nice ladies are efficient and responsive. read more

I picked Atlas this summer after talking to three companies. Rocco Pent was the design and project manager. He was super friendly to work with, listened to our needs and helped us design a patio addition that fit our back yard. The team that installed our patio was very efficient and kept the rest of our yard clean during the install process. From beginning to end... from sales consultation through to completed installation Rocco was available, responsive and met deadlines. No surprises! But it gets better. As is often the case with Santa Clara county soil, there was some settling and shifting, including some of the joint sand. I called Rocco and the quick response was "no problem- you are under warranty". Within 48 hours I had a call back from the Atlas service department to schedule a service call. Rocco was very thorough during his first consultation appointment listening to our vision of the backyard. From demolition to completion, Rocco was very responsive to our calls and concerns. The project manager as well as all the workers were polite and hardworking always cleaning up at the end of the day. We were surprised they chose to work Sunday in order for a phase to be completed. There was a communication misunderstanding regarding the steps from the patio door and Rocco quickly made himself available to rectify the situation. We had paving stones laid on the driveway prior to the start of this backyard project and planned to eventually join the driveway and backyard with a walk way on the side of the house. Once the yard began to take shape, Rocco pointed out the practical and logical decision to do the walkway now. We had Atlas Pavers install a new patio and low retaining wall for us last month and we're thrilled with the results. In fact, even though it's winter, we've now spent more time sitting out in our patio over the last few weeks than we have in the prior ten years. No, that's not hyperbole...it's been an unbelievable transformation and our formerly ugly back patio is now inviting and functional. Every member of the Atlas team - from Paul who came out to do the estimate and keep tabs from start to finish to Adriano who supervised the crew to every member of the crew who did the work - was unfailingly polite, friendly, hard-working, and competent. The work progressed more quickly that we thought possible, and the crew kept a tidy and organized workspace. They double-check the job at completion and immediately correct any tiny glitches...which in our job were incredibly minor: e.g., turning a grate cover 90 degrees. Since the San Mateo office is a new one - even though the company is well-established - and the December weather was dry, we were able to have our job scheduled very quickly. What a great experience from start to finish. Finally, even our dogs love the new patio...particularly the low wall which provides the perfect spot to patrol with an eye out for squirrels or deer. The first thing our boy does on every trip out is jump up on "his rampart" is purposefully trot the length of it, looking particularly pleased with himself as the master of all he surveys. We had such a great experience having Atlas Pavers make over our backyard. Junior and his team were fantastic! The process, from our initial meeting to the end of the project, went very smoothly. We quickly had a meeting of the minds on design and scope of the job. Adriano, our project manager, was wonderful to work with and always so quick to respond. Fabio and his demo crew hit the ground running and David and Steven did a beautiful job with our pavers and retaining wall. Everyone we worked with was kind, polite and thoughtful. We had a large undeveloped lot with busted up cement and loose crushed granite at the base of a tree covered hillside. The design elements of our lot weren't easy...100 ft of retaining wall and a few thousand feet of pavers, with multiple design features. Junior assured us everything we wanted was possible, even cutting an alcove into our hillside for a hot tub.
