I received the absolute best service that anyone would want from a vet at Atlas. I came in with my 135 pound Doberman unable to use his back legs and was placed in a room. Immediately the doctor did a quick once over before leaving to round up three techs to help with a complete exam. I have never witnessed any veterinarian doing such a thorough job in an exam before. There was not an inch of his body left out. Afterwards the doctor came up with a plan that included a series of X-rays, medication and a referral if needed. My dog left strapped to a stretcher and one week later walked comfortably into the office for his follow up. Her treatment plan was a success. The only problem is that his follow up appointment was not put into their computer correctly and so his doctor wasn't available when we showed up. Another doctor was available but I couldn't wait. Since my dog needed to have his blood drawn a super wonderful tech jumped in and took his blood before I left. I greatly appreciated her going an extra mile. read more

First visit was great. Dr. Cuevas was very nice. She was very gentle with my dog and the vet tech was very sweet as well. Felt like my concerns were heard and felt like this could be another place to take my dog for more serious concerns as my regular vet is a limited vet. The second visit for the same issue was ok, waited a bit longer and again Dr. Cuevas was very nice and still listened to my concerns. Gave options and again felt like I could come back if needed. I called to make another appointment as my dog was still having the same issue after trying the options and wanted to dig deeper with radiology and possibly a dental visit. I was told that I would receive a call back to schedule this visit by the end of the day. I did not receive a phone call that day, nor the next day.. It wasn't a real emergency but it was urgent as my dog has been congested on and off for weeks and having bouts of difficulty breathing bc of it. I made an appointment with another vet bc per atlas a dental visit if needed would need to be 2 visits (lab work and then schedule the dental visit atleast a week later) and I didn't want to keep waiting for that phone call. read more

Friday (02/21/2025) Awful drop off experience because I didn't even drop off my dog. My dog was peeing blood this past weekend. This was his follow up visit post-ER visit. I was told drop off 8am. I was still waiting in the lobby to drop off at 830am. Keep in mind, I have dropped off before during covid and it was effortless/seamless. Today I was told x,y,z had to be reviewed before I could leave after letting them know I had to go. The staff asked if my dog was still peeing blood and I let them know he will be most likely because his anti inflammatories are out. It's not their fault I have to work. I wish it was communicated prior to my arrival that I would need at least one hour for drop off. Do not recommend this vet at all. You better hope your dog doesn't have an ER visit because the follow up process at this vet has zero empathy. Update (Monday 02/24/2025): I was able to successfully drop my dog off at 8am. I didn't have to go over anything as stated on Friday before dropping off my sick pet. Communication was 10/10 I was called after the vet examined him with a recommended plan. I was told my dog has a tumor on his _enis. Devastating news. Office visit: $75 Bloodwork/Urinalysis: $316 Biomedical Waste Fee: $17 Confronted about my 1 star google review that I left on Friday, PRICELESS. Kelly had ZERO empathy. My concerns on Friday were not addressed. Only her concern of my 1 star review damaging their reputation on google mattered. I took time off of work for my dog. I didn't take time off of work to have a discussion about my google review. The 1 star google review conversation: Kelly: You left us a 1 star review but you still came back Me: I can update my review FINAL THOUGHTS: I still recommend to avoid this vet. I will find a new vet with more compassion and empathy. For the record Kelly, the two urgent ER vets sent the paperwork to this location because this was the vet my dog was last seen by and my visits prior to Friday were seamless. I dropped off paperwork at this location on Friday when I was waiting 30 minutes and attempting to drop my dog off the first time. Becoming established at another vet and prolonging a follow up appointment for a dog peeing blood didn't make sense. Sorry we gave you business. TLDR; My dog was peeing blood and now I find out he has a tumor that concerns the vet on his _enis. However, this vet is only concerned about their image online and has zero empathy towards ER follow up visits. I took my dog there with what seemed like a head injury and after examining her they told me that emergency clinic in Oakland would be able to treat her because they could do an MRI and had the medication that they could give her. When I took her there none of it was true but I did find out that they were a sister clinic to Atlas. They seemed to be looking out for each other instead of my dog. read more

I have been going to Atlas Pet Clinic for several years now. They have great vets. I am partial to Dr. Luz Rodriguez, because she is the one that has seen my Doberman the most, the one that removed a cyst from her and she listens carefully to what we have to say. She also does a thorough exam of our Dobie. She loves on her and is very gentle. The techs are also loving and good with the animals. The front desk is professional and friendly. I am particularly fond of a young lady name Jessyka. She goes above and beyond to try and answer questions or take care of your concerns. When she says she will follow up on something by speaking to one of the vets, she does and always emails me back (which is my preferred way of communication) as she can do it as her convenience and so I can. This young lady has been a God sent to the practice but also to me. Dr. Rodriguez is also very good at getting back to me if I email with a concern. Over all, I highly recommend Atlas Pet Clinic. They completely botched my dog's surgery. After spending thousands of dollars they told me they could do nothing more and I had to go to Gainesville Animal hospital. The way they handled the surgery from the beginning should have been the red flag not to return. For example when my dog's surgery started bleeding and since they don't work over the weekend, we had to go to emergency at another hospital, only to return the following week as they still couldn't figure out why it wasn't healing. Fast forward $16,000 and a month later. We were told by the staff in Gainesville he had contracted a serious infection probably during surgery. read more

It's funny because 9 months ago, I was just looking up my login information and wrote a wonderful review of Atlas Pet Clinic. It was only my 2nd review on Yelp and all positive, as I like to acknowledge good businesses who display good Customer Service. I have recently moved from the Clermont area to Miami and had just registered my dog, Chipper, as an Emotional Support Animal so that he could travel with me. As part of the process, you have to send 3 forms of verification... one of them being a Veterinary health form that gives the date of the most recent Rabies vaccination and a signature of the Veterinarian. There is a small box to check that read, "I have no reason to believe this animal would be unsafe to travel outside of a kennel in the cabin of an airplane, either by my observation or based on input from the owner." I called several times and spoke with a sweet girl named Ariana who said she would leave the form on the Dr's desk and see if they could sign it so that I could travel with my Emotional Support Dog. I got a call later that evening saying that a Dr Rodriguez said Atlas would need to do a Health Screen of my dog in order to complete the form. Mind you, the primary thing that the airlines wanted to see was just that the dog had a rabies vaccination. As it turns out, the airline was completely fine with just the vaccination records. That is how unimportant the check box was. From a liability standpoint, the check box wording says "I have no reason to believe..." and "based on input from the owner". There is just no way to misconstrue and state that there could possibly be any legal recourse against them. I paid them $230 less than 9 months ago to do all vaccinations necessary for Chipper to travel (a lot of which I have found out were unnecessary) and their proposal was for me to drive 3.5hrs from Miami back up to their clinic near Orlando (stated in each phone call today that I now live in Miami) to get a Health Check when my flight was less than 48h away on a week day during a pandemic so that an animal that is legally registered to provide me comfort could travel with me. That is just so black-and-white and an over-the-top and blatant money grab. I am just so genuinely disappointed that the company that I advocated for (prior to any company incentivization) and supported financially would actually call me and tell me that I would need to schedule a Health Check appointment for a form that was only interested in whether my dog had a rabies vaccination. It will be really interesting to see if there is any company response because I just don't see how any person with any reason or integrity could do anything but apologize in a situation like this. I hate writing negative reviews and I really hope that Dr Rodriguez realizes how this was just in such poor taste. read more

I can't say enough good things about these wonderful people. I brought my two Maltese in for Rabies vaccines last month because my brother had recommended them so highly. Dr. Rodriguez, with Jay's assistance, examined and treated Lola and Roxie with so much love. I never felt rushed and my girls were calm and comfortable. Last week Lola became ill very suddenly. I called for an appointment, but they were booked solid with one vet out sick. Jennifer shared my concerns for Lola, said she'd try to squeeze us in, and would call back. In the short time it took Jennifer to call, Lola had passed away in my lap. Jennifer said to come right in and met me at the door to take Lola to Dr. Acevedo. She tried to resuscitate Lola, but it was too late. Dr. Acevedo explained the possibilities of what might have happened to Lola, but couldn't be sure. She assured me there was nothing I could have done. Nycee helped me through planning cremation. A few days later I was able to pick up Lola's ashes, wrapped beautifully in a bag with Lola's paw print in ceramic and information about grief. I came home to a sweet card signed by the whole staff who'd written comforting messages. read more

I have been terribly disappointed with this clinic. The first time I went, they lost the pet's records that I had hand delivered. I had to drive back to the house and get another copy. Meanwhile, I waited hours outside in the heat. But I thought it was just a covid change in routine thing so I let it go. Then my cat had an accident this weekend and I wanted him to be seen. I was offered a drop off visit for Wednesday. They can't even care for their patients on a needs basis. What good is that? I would not recommend this clinic, nor would I return. The wait time is astronomical. Every time. Even with an appointment. Expect to wait at least an hour after your scheduled appointment time. The vet that I saw ordered several unnecessary tests (the retiring vet called me later to say that he believed the tests were overkill, as it was likely a behavioral issue). She also prescribed meds that he did not need. When I tried to return the meds (unopened), I was told that since they had left the office, I could not return them for a refund, but they would happily accept them back 'as a donation' to resell. I had a positive balance on my account of $60 for even more tests that I had decided to delay (and ultimately decline, after consulting with the second veterinarian), but instead of issuing me a refund over the phone, I had to go back to the office in person for them to run my card. Three weeks ago i brought my Cali dog to this place for a bad breathing and heart beat. We waited over an hour to be seen in a room. Then the female vet came in. She barely examined my dogs problem. Gave her a rabies shot. My dog was throwing up. They drug her the back and gave her meds for a reaction to the shot. But she wasn't having a reaction she had bad anxiety from them. And now the throwing up i ferl was because of her HEART CONDITION THAT THEY DIDN'T FIND. She barely listened to her. Was in a hurry i gather from my long wait. Was concerned about her teeeth being alittle dirty. Ang they wanted to charge me to do it. Imstead if being serious about my poor dogs problem they wrote me a quote for 700 to come back. Your clinic was unable to hear a fatal heart condition that was easily detected by a low cost clinic. Because we didn't catch her condition in time we had to put her down last Wednesday. You never called after my last review, like you said. My opinion is your clinic is all for the money. I took her to a Cardiologist for dogs. It cost $650. Including a great eco cardio gram. Your clinic isn't what you clam it is. I got x rats for $130. You wanted $350. Because of you not being thorough during that exam. We lost the little big of time we actually had to save her. The absolute worst. Never in my life have I heard of a 38lb dog costing $835 for spay. Watch your invoices because they like to tack on "office visit" fees for no reason. Paid $205 for bloodwork that "came off" surgery total. Initially quoted $250, which was raised to $553 after bloodwork. At checkout? It was raised to $629, totaling to $834.64. I took my dog to Atlas Pet Clinic today for the first time and I was very impressed. The reception area is small especially if there are a few large dogs waiting and I had a bit of a long wait but the staff moved the patients in and out at a steady pace. Aside from that I was very pleased with the visit and the time Dr. Esteban and tech Mariah spent with Josie and I was well worth the wait. They were not rushed, took time to explain things to me and were very kind and gentle with Josie. From the minute they had her on the exam table they had her completely calm - this was a first; she was never relaxed at her previous vet's office. There is a lot to be said when a doctor's waiting room is full and you have to wait to be seen........the doctor is obviously very good. I can entertain myself while I wait for the doctor in high demand. Prices very reasonable. I will be back and I will recommend this business. read more

We took our dog of 17 years here when she passed away at home on (July 18, 2023)... they were very sweet and caring. We got her cremated, it was a very smooth process. We got her ashes back 1 week later in a nice, bamboo box with her ceramic paw print (that cost $46 extra) and a note from Atlas Pet Clinic. Today (July 28, 2023) we received a very sweet card that all of the employees took time and wrote a little note to us. Would definitely recommend this pet clinic. read more

They have excellent customer service and it's nice that they call to remind me so I don't miss an appointment. Dr. Charlie is thorough and wants to make sure all your questions are answered before you walk out the door. The staff are all just as caring. Saw them for the first time today and they were AMAZING!!! I'd spoken to them on the phone a few times and they were extremely nice, just glad to see they are polite in person as well. Staff was friendly and my dog loved them which, to me, is very telling. My dog is very energetic but they were very patient with her...puppies tend to be energetic and I've witnessed another vet's office treat us all very rudely because of it. I had more questions after my husband brought my pup home so I called back, they were fantastic! They answered every question I had thoroughly and kindly, such a welcome change from previous vet. The ONLY reason I didn't give 5 stars is because of wait time but as much of an inconvenience as it was, I guess when you're the best in the area you are VERY busy! I am so grateful that the staff at Atlas were able to squeeze in a sick visit for our pup the same day. Everybody was kind. I also appreciate Dr. Chuacuco for taking his time to explain his assessment, treatment options and sharing his knowledge on preventative measures for oral hygiene for our Italian greyhounds. We have been going to Banfield for over a year and nobody has taken the time to do that. Our pup responded to the treatment within two days. I know they were already behind and extremely busy, I called up hysterically crying about a large mass on my dogs neck that had ruptured and was spraying blood everywhere. I had an appointment for the next day to have it checked, but when it ruptured they let me rush over and took him. I am forever grateful they took him in last minute at the end of their long day! She was there before me, meaning she was waiting for more than an hours. It is unfortunate that a place that could be so good for our pets is so disrespectful with the pet owners. Update: No one should have to go through the experience that we did when dealing with a vet and losing your baby.... I can say, however, that I am very happy with the way Atlas has handled the situation since that day. From a heartfelt phone call with the office manager (which really made me feel much better), to a very special note and plant delivery from the Atlas team. I really thank you for doing your best to make it right, it has helped my heart heal tremendously! Dr Fernandez left much to be desired. She was cold and lacked bedside manner. My cat Winter's condition was terrible, and in order to get concrete answers, she would have needed multiple tests (on top of what she had already had done) and 48 hours of fluids. She was diagnosed with kidney disease, but we didn't know how severe it was. Her body couldn't stay hydrated, despite receiving SubQ fluids at the ER the night before and all day at Atlas. When speaking with Dr Fernandez about our options she did try to work with our budget, but at the end of the day, it was going to mean many vet visits, medications, blood work, urinalysis, and frequent SubQ fluids for our baby. I didn't feel like that was how I wanted her final, days, weeks or months to be spent. As we were preparing to put Winter down, we were obviously very very upset, and rather than telling us, "this is what's probably best for Winter"... she said something along the lines of "well, you don't have to decide this today." Like, what?... this is already decided! She's laying on the table with a IV in her arm. She's disoriented and trying to walk off the table, her eyes completely glazed over, she's lost a significant amount of weight, she's a shell of the cat that I've loved for 11 years.... and now you're going to make me feel like we should wait???? Why?... so she can sit with a needle in her for 48 hours in the hospital?... So she can have blood drawn again and again?....so she can have a needle stuck into her bladder to get a urine sample?.... so we can force feed her to get her nutrition and meds??? OR is it so we can spend a fortune at your office trying to prolong the life of my best friend for 11 years only for her to suffer the whole time and eventually need to be put down anyway?? There are so many "what if's" and guilty thoughts that run through your head when you have to say goodbye to your family member, and I gotta tell you, the LAST thing anyone needs in that moment is for someone in helping you to second guess your decision! ESPECIALLY THE VET With that being said.... the shining light of Atlas in the whole experience for me was Emma the tech! She was absolutely amazing and so compassionate when it came to my cat Winter... my heart broke into 1000 pieces today but she was really wonderful in helping to comfort me during the whole process. This place is wonderful! I was stressed because my cat was suffering from yet another UTI. I called my regular vet and they couldn't see me. Told me to call back and make an appt Monday or Tuesday. I knew I'd be miserable all weekend watching her suffer, so I came across Atlas. (Thank you Yelpers for providing excellent reviews) As I sat in the waiting room, I overheard a couple telling the front desk team how much they liked their experience at this vet. They were so thankful for such great service. I have found my new vet! Dr. Charlie was very attentive and took the time to explain my cat, Charlotte's, treatment options. They gave me quite a treatment regimen, so hopefully I can follow up soon and let you all know is all was successful. What I appreciated was their kindness when I walked in. The staff was friendly and attentive. I was not stressed in the waiting room like I can be at other places. The sweet girl who helped me was amazing. I'm just sorry I didn't get her name. Though my cat didn't love the experience, I didn't feel like she was super stressed, like she has been with previous vet visits.
