We recently replaced a section of our home's gutter because it had rotted through. After getting a few estimates, we decided on First Tier Exterior for a seamless gutter replacement. The quality of the gutter was excellent, and the aluminum material they used was powder coated to closely match the trim on our home. Jeremy and Robert set up a time to come and visit the house and scope the work within a day or so after contacting them, they were very professional, showed up on time and had a knowledgable swagger to their presentation showing that they knew their stuff. After they left, we did not hesitate to decide to award FTE the job and they showed up within 2 days, again on time, with a crew that had the whole job done from start to finish in about 3 hours. They actually had 3 crews, that worked in succession. One crew did the demo of the old gutters, the next one bent the gutter material to our homes specifications, and a third did the install and did quality control (and got the check!) Their work exceeded our expectations, and the value of their work was great. They weren't the cheapest bid, but their quality and value was worth what they charged and was well within our budget. Our roof had a small leak in the back of the roof after heavy rain recently. I had multiple quotes from different roofing companies, but Daniel was the only one who actually climbed on the roof to investigate potential problem area, made measurements, and explained in detail what will be done to fix the problem. Daniel has been very attentive, responsive, and responsible. He moved around his schedule the day after the request to squeeze in time to stop by and do the estimate, and scheduled for repair to be done 2 days later. Out of all the roofers that came out to an estimate, he was the only one that got on the roof to do a through inspection. Sometimes you come across a person or business who is so outstanding that it is hard to encapsulate in a single "rating". Adam at Atlas Roofing is one such business owner. Adam did the pre-sale roof replacement on a home that we purchased in July 2023. When it appeared that there was a rain associated leak causing a crack in the drywall over a second story window, he came out the next day and (in pouring rain) did a thorough inspection and repair of the roof (and the window itself for which he was not responsible!). Adam is a great guy and, in my experience, a rare business owner in the Bay Area who brings superb knowledge and skill as well as a strong sense of personal responsibility to his clients. I got in touch with Adam over yelp. We scheduled a roof inspection today, but since it was raining at the time I attempted to call it off. I was extremely happy that it did not call off. I had the pleasure of meeting Jacob. Upon meeting Jacob he was very straight forward and also sensitive to the time. After a couple of mins of discussion about safety concerns, Jacob assured that it would be ok. The next thing is what won me over. Contract companies, take a page out of this guy's book. 1 - he inspected the roof as well as my attic and found / confirmed that there were actually nail pops that showed up on the roof. he then continued patiently and described what was installed and provided information for me that confirmed the condition of my attic with detailed images and explanation. 2 - he then explained to me what type of room, minor and major materials are composed of the roof, and also what condition it was in 3 - Jacob was spot on with the age of the roof as well as informed me of what condition it was in on the sides (from what I see that's visible) 4 - he also made proper recommendations without selling me anything for service. 5 - he not only offered to perform the minor repairs for free, and showed me pictures of what was inspected and provided measurements and details to those measurements. This (for all you other contractors) should look at this example and use it as a golden rule of thumb. Jacob was an honest and very straight forward as well as kind individual. I absolutely love this type of interaction where the vendor is happy to take time and explain what they are doing in order to keep enduser/customers informed and happy about the work. They had no secrets to keep or any tricks. Straight forward and honest along with just generally a good heart. I asked them to setup a roof refresh or repair job because of me and my wife's paranoid nature, but he kept pushing back and telling me that I didn't need it. This 1st interaction really was great. I chose Atlas because the only 1 star review they had was from over 12 years ago and it was more about communication rather than the work ... present day forward, I wanted my roof checked since it had been over 15 years since it was repaired and with all the crazy weather going on I needed a little reassurance. Jacob showed up on time (even though I didn't check my messages) and did a thorough check of the roof. He addressed some issues that were non- rood related that need to be taken care of and some roof related issues that should be kept an eye on or tuned up. What I liked most was that he was upfront and honest. He could have easily said I needed a new roof but he didn't. We had some bad storms here in the East Bay around the middle of March and I ended up having a leak in the ceiling of my second bedroom. Apparently I was not the only one with such problems because when I tried to find a Roofer (or Handyman) to get that leak fixed all lined were busy. For days. But then I was able to reach Atlas Roofing and they were most helpful! Adam came by and had a look at everything and gave me an idea what could and should be done. He even had a long ladder on his truck which he used to climb up on the roof and ended up, fixing the leak temporarily so that more rainfall would not cause more damage. He did not charge me for this and told me that they were very busy at that time would would get back to me as soon as possible. And indeed: I had not further leaks and almost forgot about the whole thing! But then I called Atlas Roofing back because that part of the roof really should be permanently fixed! So: a couple of gentleman came by this week and in 3.5 hours all of the work was done! Before they left they let me look at photos of TWO places on the roof that had to be fixed and I am most impressed about the work they had done. I very rarely give reviews but i have to give a shout out to Jacob at Atlas Roofing. I contacted the company on the first Saturday that stormed so heavily in the Bay Area. Our upstairs bathroom ceiling was leaking due to the heavy rains. Jacob answered and he did say he had a very full schedule but would come out after his last customer. He kept in touch with me that day saying he was running late but would still make it. HE DID! He tried his hardest to help but it was just too dangerous to get on our steep roof that evening. He assured us that he would get our roof fixed within a few days. (They were understandably swamped due to the epic rains in the bay area). Jacob was thoughtful and professional. Jacob called a few days later and said Anton was coming to fix the roof. Anton was excellent as well! I had called many roofers to help us that Saturday. We used Atlas Roofing to replace our entire roof. The quote process was pleasant, Michael from Atlas gave a very competitive offer in a very timely fashion and was willing to accommodate our request to replace our skylights as well. He helped us measure the skylight size and advised us to use Home Depot for the purchase. During the entire job Michael was very engaging and responsive on any thing we asked. When it turned out our custom non-refundable order from Home Depot was of the wrong size, he came with us to Home Depot to make sure the purchase was refunded fully. Jesus was the lead roofer and he has done a great job on the new roof as well, he helped me find a competitively priced skylight of the right size locally and his workmanship was impeccable. Atlas came to inspect my roof for repairs and after a careful inspection with detailed pictures highly recommended a new roof. Our too was shake and over 30 years old and they brought it up to modern standards including new sheathing!! Their team was extremely professional and got the work done. We added solar,new gutters and even attic clean out and sealing with new insulation all in a one stop shop!! With the heavy rain this season we are so glad we found Atlas. No leaks amazing gutters to move the water away from the house. Yotam and Jacob the project manager assigned to us kept us up with progress using photos and being available each step of the way!! I had to do roof repair as requirement for installing solar panel. Michael and his team were very accommodating in scheduling the work (due to longer rain, many job orders were in pipeline). They also accommodated in terms of pricing of additional tiles beyond what was budgeted as well as in painting of exposed portion of wood. The only issue I found was in program management. The actual work period was much more than indicated before and the tile procurement was done after the work came to halt (and roof was exposed to mercy of weather). The work quality, as much as I can understand, is very good. There is 10 year warranty that gives comfort and assurance. Overall, I recommend Atals Roofing. read more

Our ceiling was leaking from the storm. I requested an estimate from atlas roofing. Anton responded quickly. He managed to squeeze in my appointment though his schedule was already full. When he came by my house, he was able to quickly identify the leak source which turned out to be a few spots on the roof. He went above and beyond and tried to give us a temporary solution to prevent further leak before the permanent solution can be put in. His quote was also very reasonable. Well I had the owners son come out for the estimate for a leaky roof we had and its been 4 weeks now with no quote. He claims he has e-mailed me but I still have not gotten it. He told me he would drop it off in my mail box the next morning, That didn't happen. Call them up for the 6th time about it and they can't push the guy they said, he's the owners son. What kind of business is this. Well I told them I am using someone else for the job not to even bother in sending the quote over. I've taken a long time to finally write this review......I should have done it earlier but just haven't done many Yelp reviews. Atlas Roofing replaced our roof a couple of years ago. They were prompt in their bid (very reasonable), professional, and there were no surprises with the bottom line at the end of the job. And, most important we have had no leaks during the last two winters! He did my mother-in law's house too, last year and they did a phenomenal job. Selected Atlas after getting 35 bids from other roofers. I'll never need another roofer. They weren't the cheapest, but absolutely the best value- great product, great work, fast, clean, pleasant and they STAND BEHIND THEIR WORK! One call and they are on site! It has been nearly 7 years since they did my roof and gutters, still looks brand new. The thicker, darker shingles improved my insulation and cut down my heating bills in the fog belt.
