creative, well done, and delicious dishes. loved my experience, very cozy atmosphere. plates range from small bites to apps to more substantial dishes. all dishes were very flavorful and layered- i really enjoyed the scallops with celeriac emulsion & sweetbreads, kanpachi, black cod, and potatoes!

I can see why this place has been ranked one of the top restaurants in Seattle! All of the dishes that we ordered were outstanding. The stars of the show for us were the rosette cookie and the spiced maitake (which our server recommended and we were so glad that we listened to her). Speaking of servers, the service was amazing. The entire staff was so hospitable and knowledgeable about the menu and wines to pair with the food. The dining room felt very intimate - perfect for a date night.

I can't rave about this place enough. You can tell by the way the staff speaks about the food and the presentation and how it tastes. There's just so much love poured into the creations. Very lovely atmosphere and you can tell everyone that works there is happy and wants to be there. Everything we got there was well executed and our favorites were the rosette cookies and the spiced maitake (an underdog that's not usually ordered but our #1)

We snuck in without a reservation on a Friday night and had a great meal!! The food was all sensational and the service was great. It's a cute vibe in an old house and feels like a very cozy date night. The price is definitely high, but for an occasion meal, it's a great spot.

A birthday card signed by all the staff

Made reservations on my birthday and they treated me very nicely! The host took our coats and hung them right away when we walked in the door. The restaurant immediately feels like home! Upon being seated, I was shown the drink menu and the host gave me a birthday card signed by all the staff. That was so nice! The food menu is short but high quality, so decisions are easy! We got the rosette cookies, dungeness crab, and mighty duck with gem lettuce on the side. The rosette cookies taste like a fancy onion ring. They're the perfect amuse-bouche! The dungeness crab is a crab salad with noodles. The crab was tender and flavorful, and even my partner, who doesnt typically like seafood enjoyed it. We split the mighty duck, which came with a breast, a leg, and a chicore salad. The breast tasted a little too iron-y for me but my partner liked it. I liked the leg more, which tasted almost like a tender roast beef. Would be happy to split it again! I wish there was more of the jelly to go with the breast. The salad was nice to break up the flavor and texture of the duck. For dessert, we had the baked alaska. It lacked the contrast of temperatures that I'd expect for this dish but it still tasted great. There was also an amuse-bouche of a stroopwaffel, which was so tasty! For drinks, my favorite was the whiskey highball with honey and garlic. I loved the complexity of flavors! I should've ordered a glass of red wine to go with the duck, but I got distracted by all the hand drawn art in the cocktail menu (a good problem)! Overall, I would give this restaurant 4.5 stars. Everything was delicious and the service was top notch. Nothing on the menu left me with a "wow!" but it was all great! Worth the price point for a nice night out. I would recommend and return for a special occasion or with friends from out of town. The service and ambiance were he most memorable parts of our experience.

We came here for my husband's birthday, and it was the most mind-blowing dining experience in Seattle so far! Everything from the appetizer, entree, and the dessert were so flavorful and complex. I was super impressed! Our favorites were the radish cake, the pork, and both of the desserts (peach sesame ice cream and corn blueberry dessert). The vibe was very cozy and the service was attentive and friendly. Among the high-end restaurants in Seattle, this is our favorite so far!

First timer! We tried a variety of dishes and each of them were a hit. I think the two entrees (maitake shawarma situation and pork collar) were the two stand out dishes from our meal. The combo of flavors were absolutely chefs kiss. My husband usually says the vegetarian dishes I get are mediocre but he said this was outstanding. We enjoyed the different flavor profiles of each dish were all different. Overall a delicious meal and while portions may look smaller, we were both very full at the end. Pricing is on the higher side and would say to expect to pay 80-90$ a person pre drinks pre tip for a "full" meal. Cozy interior- they had the fireplace going and very attentive staff who came by frequently to change out plate settings and refill drinks. Would recommend for a date night or special occasion! Looks like their menu does change frequently. We are looking forward to trying new dishes next time.

Unfortunately did not live up to the hype. For these high prices and small plate sizes, they should offer a set or prix fixe menu. The best dish was probably the radish cake: $9 each!! Service was passive aggressive and unfriendly, she scowled a lot. We were a nice group having a good time, we ordered a lot. Our server could not have been more unbothered to engage us when we asked for recommendations on both food and drinks. Lots of other, better, food options on 45th.

Amazing dinner at this innovative establishment serving up great food! This was without a doubt our favorite dinner in our visit to Seattle. We tried most of the menu with the rosette cookies, gem lettuce salad, squash, crab & spiced maitake dishes being our absolute favorite. Definitely try this place out!

This is a great place to try for adventurous diners. Even the mixed drinks have unique recipes. The location in a small house is cozy but fun with upbeat music playing in the background. It's certainly not a stodgy old place, so keep that in mind when coming here for dinner. The flavors were interesting, but do keep in mind as other reviewers have mentioned, that some dishes seemed to be a bit oversalted.

Atoma was a great place to celebrate our anniversary. The restaurant is in a house which makes it feel more welcoming and comfortable. Food was interesting and well executed and service is tad on the slower pace but solid. Highlights for us are the snacks. Rosette cookie, radish cake are interesting small bites, ok to share between two. Crab toast had a briny sea taste - in a good way - balanced by the shiso earthy taste, I just wished the cut off the bread crust to soften the texture for my weak jar lol. Grilled cucumber and spot prawns are also packed with flavor and great fun to eat. I preferred the mushroom main to the fish one, only because the flavors are bolder and more interesting but nothing wrong with the cod. Icecream wraps it up nicely. I am pleasantly surprised how well the flavors come through even the subtle toasted rice stood up to ginger.

Reservation: via opentable, cc $50 deposit required and 48hours min cancelation in advance. They didn't charge it, they only use it to secure your reservation or if you decide to cancel on them less than 48hr. Parking: free street parking Restrooms: 2 gender neutral individual restrooms. Seatings: Indoor, outdoor patio, Chef table, and bar table in between outdoor patio and inside dining. The biggest table is ours, table for 6, which we appreciate since we normally order a lot and we have space to share our food. Simple menu and yet satisfying, full of flavor. We ordered one of everything in the menu since there's 4 of us and want to try everything. The menu divided by section: Appetizers: Rosetta cookie - 1pc - yummy Radish cake - 1pc - yummy Crab toast - 1 toast cut into halves - nice Mid- snack or pre-entree: Grilled cucumber - our favorite Spot prawn - coconut curry style Kampachi Entree: Pork collar- our least favorite, the pork is a bit under, has more pink than it should. Black Cod - ok Spiced maitake - love this and it comes with fluffy naan bread Roasted chicken - cook to perfection, crispy skin, moist chicken Sides: Potato salad - ok, wish they add some acid into it and we like our potato salad more creamy. Crumpets - delicious, so fluffy and crewy Desserts: Horchata ginger cinnamon gelato - love it. Wish a bit tad more ginger. Mille feuille - very nice. Overall, we like it a lot. Some are super good that we will come back for. Some are ok or too salty for our taste.

Good food, service and ambiance! Loved the Honey delicata, Deviled crab and Baked Alaska. The Spring Rhubarb was nicely balanced and the scallop was melting

One of the best restaurants in Seattle. The pinwheel cheese and jam things and the crab were incredible.

Mac and cheese was really goos and we reordered it, and the burrata was great, though I don't remember much about it. For the brunch, the main meals were good. I had their breakfast sandwich and it was tasty and of the right size. Their bread pudding was tasty though it was more of a French toast in a sweet gravy vs a gooey pudding. Interesting twist and it worked. Overall a great place. The service was exceptional and 2 people that took care of us were outstanding. I've been adopting a lower tip approach in Seattle owing the increase in minimum wage, and would like us to get to a European low tip or tip optional situation. This restaurant owing their amazing service made it hard to tip low, but I still had to to stick with my principle. Highly recommend this place for a nice sit down meal.

The guru finds himself in Seattle looking for local fare. This is another place you yelpers said…read morewas good but I have some reservations. I came in super curious about this scallop dish they had. Now I've had scallops every which way possible. Scallops are so yummy they are next to impossible to ruin. But this dish called "oven fired bay scallops" changed my mind. It's basically scallops baked in cheese sauce. I took one bite of this thing and spit it out. I never thought I would hate a scallop dish but this is it. This is an absolute hot mess of a dish that should be taken off the menu and never be made again. The baking basically overcooked the scallops to the point that they are like rubber balls. On top of that all that cheese overpowered the subtle taste of the scallops to such a degree that I couldn't even taste the scallops. Then I tried their prawn appetizer. the chef made this one spicy. There was so much spice on it I could barely taste the prawn. I had to scoop it off the prawn before I could eat it. Those prawn were actually tasty and fresh and perfectly cooked. It really needed nothing more than some lemon juice. Then I had their rigatoni which was ok but the sausage that was in it was also a little spicy. What is this chef's obsession with spice? another thing I noticed was I was trying to find something light but they don't really have anything light. all of their pasta has a traditional tomato sauce or a cream sauce. All their salads are bit and full of cheese. Their pizzas are sizeable and full of toppings. This menu seriously needs to be redone. add a few light dishes and ditch some of the heavy ones. Overall food is decent enough for 4 stars but I am deducting a star for those two terrible appetizers. This is clearly the result of a young chef trying too hard. This chef needs to learn that sometimes less is more.
