This is a true hidden gem for tacos. Locals know all about it and have been keeping them busy for years... however unless you live in the Dufferin St Clair area you probably don't know it. Food - (4.5/5) - it has a good selection of taco options from the classics to some fusion type ones. Also starters and other choices and some tasty cocktails too. Portion sizes are good too. - Carne Asada - this taco is probably the best overall taco in Toronto imo. Perfect mix of items that comes together so well for a truly delicious taco! Steak, Pico, Goat Cheese, Guac, Scallions and a very tasty crema - Baja Fish - a very nice mix using a beer battered fish piece with cabbage, pico and a cilantro crema - Carnitas - pork belly with onion and cilantro - it's just ok imo - La Bamba - similar concept as Baja Fish except with battered Shrimp... also very nice mix - Dat Chick - similar to the Pollo one but with sweet chili sauce and cucumbers. Wasn't my favorite but others seem to like it. - Atomic 10 Blonde Lager - not sure which brewery makes this but it was very tasty. Service - (4.25/5) - always friendly and food comes out quick. Sometimes getting order in and getting the bill is delayed because they usually are pretty busy. Atmosphere - (4/5) - it has this artsy feel to it with neon signs and comic book wallpaper. Basic tables and bar stools with patio tables outside for the summer. Vibey music in the background. Overall - (4.25/5) - one of my favorite taco places and very reliable. I found this restaurant by mistake while in Toronto. We were looking for a different taco shop but stumbled upon Atomic 10 and I'm so glad that we did. The food was delicious (we ordered food to eat at the restaurant and ordered food for the drive back to the US). The shrimp tacos and guacamole are 10/10. The service was impeccable and I love the cozy vibe and decor. The Margaritas are definitely a HIT (especially the Hibiscus Margarita). The outdoor patio is really nice as well but be carful of the bees (they enjoyed my Margarita more than I did). I would highly recommend visiting if you are in Toronto. read more

Came here with a friend that frequents this spot when she's craving tacos and downtown. It's nice and cozy inside with cool funky decor and a cute patio in front for the summer time. Our waiter was great and very attentive. We ordered the yucca fries with chipotle dip, the pad Thai and birria tacos and I ordered a spicy margarita. I loved the rim of the spicy margarita, I couldn't get enough of it! The yucca fries were crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside but a bit more dense compared to potato fries. The chipotle sauce is to die for, I could put that on everything! I loved how unique the pad Thai tacos were and the birria tacos were delicious as well. I've only tried Atomic 10 at taco fest but so glad I finally got a chance to try it at the restaurant. I will definitely be back! read more

My group got the birria tacos, carne asada tacos, and fish tacos. The carne asada tacos came out to each be around 24 CAD after tax and tip (around 18 USD). The tacos are on the smaller side, but they are quite flavorful! The birria tacos are super tender and the shell was the right amount of crunchy. Definitely the highlight of the meal! The fish tacos were pretty decent as well. The carne asada tacos, however, were under seasoned and tough. I recommend the birria tacos if you're dropping by! Firstly, our server Gienel was extremely genuine, attentive, made us feel 100% welcomed. She wasn't ever intrusive but still extremely observant and always came at the right time. Our dishes were served at the perfect pace, and she even gave us free churros as a welcome to Toronto (we were traveling), so sweet!! She also made me the most amazing spicy margarita - the best I've had. In terms of food also AMAZING!!!!! Juicy and well balanced tacos, will for sure satisfy all your cravings. This might be the most flavourful birria tacos I've had ever! The consomé was little heavy on the salt if you ate it alone but perfect after dipping the tacos. We also got the pad Thai taco, which had fried fish and it was unique: didn't taste like Thai / pad Thai but still good. I was driving by hoping this was the restaurant I would soon be dinning in as the patio with all the lights, the bright colour caught my attention. There are neon signs all over. The room is red! One wall is covered in the periodic table. The music was hyped creating a great vibe overall. Onto the food, we all tried different tacos from the fish, to crispy chicken to birria tacos. I would have to say the crispy chicken and birria has to be my favourite. I wish they had the option to try the different type instead of purchasing 3 of the same kind. Really great tacos, with a nice variety of flavours. We had the fish tacos (very good) and the pollo (chicken) (which was outstanding). We also had chips and guac. My only suggestion would be to offer a 2-taco option to allow for more options/sharing. These are big tacos, so having 2 selections of 3 tacos shared between two people was plenty. The place also has a nice patio, set inside of St Clair West but off St Clair itself, so it was nice, quiet and shady. Service wasn't great. Unfortunately, our server seemed distracted even though it wasn't overwhelmingly busy. She forgot our initial order of the fish tacos and only brought out the chicken tacos. Atomic 10 was the bomb.com!!!! I loved the food from here! I decided to come here while visiting Toronto after looking at a Toronto food bloggers page, that mentioned them. The pictures looked good so we decided to try them for lunch. I'm so happy we did. Our waiter was nice but I will say the service was slow starting out. It seemed to be maybe only 2 waiters so we waited for a few minutes before even getting water and menus. Other than this, everything else was good! We started with appetizers and drinks. We ordered chips, pico and Gauc as well as Yuca Fries. The chips and dips were good. The dips tasted fresh and homemade. The Yuca Fries were the bomb!! They were fried perfectly and to the perfect golden brown. Both the chips and fries were well seasoned. The fries also came with a dipping sauce that was amazing and paired perfectly with the fries. Myself, my husband and our youngest daughter tore these fries up. My husband ordered a classic margarita and I ordered a Blueberry Mojito. His Marg was very good and tasted well made! My mojito was good. My only complaint was that sometimes with certain flavors they tend to taste a little like cough medicine. The cough medicine flavor was not super strong but it was there. However, if I drink from the bottom of the glass I got less of that flavor bc it was sweeter. It was still good though. For lunch we ordered 2 Chicken Plates and Fish Tacos. The chicken plates were amazing. It came with marinated chicken, plantains, Gauc, rice and black beans. All plates come with rice and then you can choose 3 sides. The chicken had the perfect taste and crunch. It was cooked well. Probably the best grilled chicken I've had in awhile. It went so well with everything else on the plate. This was the perfect lunch! We also ordered the beer-battered fish tacos. There are 3 tacos in each order. The tacos were good and fried to the perfect crunch and golden brown. Excellent tacos. I've been here a few times now. If you come during the Summer be sure to sit on the patio, not because you want to make the most of the warm weather in a Canadian town but because the joint is so fucking loud you can't hear yourself think. Delicious cocktails, remarkable tacos and sandwiches, and a charming staff. Bonus points for the hilarious bathroom decor. I had the birria tacos and they are excellent. I was so excited to eat them again that I forgot to snap a photo until I was down to my last taco. The only drawback from eating here is that my buddy and I did a bang-bang and this was the follow up to a tremendous cheeseburger and the dairy double punch fucked me up. I had to racewalk home and even had to call my girlfriend so she could open the front door ahead of my arrival making it easier for me to bound into the bathroom and destroy the crapper. I even needed a shower and a nap afterwards. Take it from me kids, take your lactose intolerance seriously. But really good tacos. read more

When we called to place an order we were disappointed that they were out of tortilla chips and the k-pop tacos. However, fortunately there were other items we wanted to try. We ordered the plantains which were amazing. I could eat plantains every day. We split the fish tacos and the carnitas. The fish tacos were great and crispy. The carnitas were also good. We also shared the carne asada tostone. It was really good but the tostone was a bit sharp. lol I'd probably opt for a bun next time. The atmosphere and vibe at this restaurant are wonderful with all the decor and colours. Food-wise, I highly recommend La Bamba (shrimp), Pad Thai, and Baja Fish tacos (all priced around 16$). They come in three so if you go with a friend or two, you can get all three and share. As for Black & Yellow, I was so-so on because I personally don't like the beans and fried plantain but my vegetarian friend said it was really good. To each their own, I suppose. The nachos were alright, they need to be eaten quickly or they get hard and stick to the tray because of the cheese. Its a small spot tucked behind other businesses. At first glance of the dishes, its the Wow factor! And they taste as good as they look! It's a fairly small place but has great food and service. Be sure not to confuse it with the larger place next door. Service was fairly quick and they sat us down right away despite coming in a bit early for our reservation time. My girlfriend and I ordered nachos to start. It was a good sized portion with plenty of cheese and sour cream. For drinks I got a standard beer but my girlfriend loved her Atomic Bomb cocktail. For the main course, we both got tacos. I ordered the carne asada and loved the cook on the meat and the touches of goat cheese they added. Portion size was fairly generous as well. My girlfriend had to take some of hers home but she was quite happy with having chicken tacos for lunch the next day. My first time being indoors for a meal since the lifting of restrictions. I enjoyed their pork plate with sides of fried plantains and yucca fries with a beet salad. My meal was delicious and I especially enjoyed the flavour of the lechon. The service was adequate but I think I was left on my own after my server finished for the night because I needed to get my bill myself. And the fried chicken sandwich (on bread) was perfect to a hungry teenager. Crispy chicken with lettuce and tomato - simple and tasty. Beet salad a great side. And the cheesecake in a jar. What more is needed? Service was great! Super friendly and on top of water etc. Food was delicious (Baja tacos was my order)but they sold out of guacamole. Atmosphere was very fun but music was WAY too loud we were a table of 6 and could not hear each other at all unless sitting next to you and speaking very loudly. When someone was talking on other end of the table you couldn't hear them at all you were trying to read lips lol. Cocktails/margaritas fun but I accidentally ordered a $25 drink by assuming it was a similar price to the other drinks but it was pricey! Oops. Churros for dessert were pretty good. All in all I'd prefer to go to a similar but different Mexican place in the city mostly so that music won't be too loud. We also felt very squeezed into the small restaurant and felt people pressing right behind me every time someone walked by- seating was SO uncomfortable that it actually felt so good to all of us when we stood up after the meal everyone commented how good it felt to get up and I've never had that at a restaurant before. The carne asada tacos aren't worth it. For about $30 I got the carne asada tacos with the chips and guacamole on the side and it totally wasn't worth the price for the taste of the food. We booked a reservation for 3 a week in advance to celebrate my niece's birthday. The day before I get a call saying that their patio isn't heated and if we move inside we were be put on a high top table. I mentioned that it was fine. Not even 10 minutes later, I get a second call repeating the same request. I said I had already spoken with someone, and they said they would put me at a high top. The day of, I get this same phone call! Honestly, how hard it is to communicate with your own co-workers! When we finally arrive, we get pointed to our table, not showed, barely acknowledged. The "table" in question is less then 12 inches wide and mounted on two pipes, not attached to the wall, and wobbling. When asked if we could move. Even if it was to go to a patio table as it wasn't that cold. We were told their was nothing they could do, and would move us when a table opens up. 20 minutes go by, no one as checked in on us, or even ask if we wanted a drink. Finally we get moved,to the actual bar and another 15 minutes go by before getting our drink order in, and immediately asking us for our food order. My husband was sitting right at the end of the bar with next to no space in front of him for anything other then his drink, the bartender had to fully move her prep area for him to eat. After placing those, it took 15 minutes to get drinks. The food took over a while, but no one checked in after we got our food. No one asked if we wanted a refill on our drinks. Honestly very disappointed, more so after coming here a couple of times already. read more
