I recently moved to the area and had been scouting out my new pizza place. When I found this place online, I thought it looked just like Porky's Pizza. I decided to try Atomic Pizza because of all the positive reviews on yelp, but To be honest I was totally disappointed. I bought 3 different large pizzas but all of them were less than marginal. The onions tasted kind of moldy, the crust was kind of Burnt on two of the pizzas, and the grated cheese they gave me on the side was really old (came out of the packages orange in color and kind of hard). My wife's comment was that it was the worst pizza she has had in awhile. The crust itself wasn't too bad despite the burned spots, and the mushroom pizza was sort of ok, but that's it. I would give this place 0 stars if I could! First, they made my order wrong and left part of my food sitting on the counter to get back to room temperature while they remade the wrong pizza. Then, I got home and realized they had left out several items I paid for. The food was soggy and most of it wasn't edible. I messaged the owner and he went off on a rant, calling me Karen, because I wanted to let him know what my experience was like. We've ordered from Atomic Pizza twice now and the results were horribly mixed. The first time we ordered two pizzas with regular crust. I thought it was pretty good but my wife, who ordered a margherita pizza, said it didnt taste right on the thick crust and wanted to try a thin crust next time. So we ordered again about a month later; this time we ordered two pizzas on thin crust. Ugh! What a disaster!! The outer edges were burnt but the center was soggy! It's really hard to ruin pizza but somehow they found a way. Even apart from the crust, the pizza just didnt taste "right". I cant quite put my finger on exactly why, but it wasnt good. I *might* order from them again, but only a regular crust pizza. The thin crust was so horrible I just threw away the leftovers. There are too many different places in Whittier to eat to have to suffer substandard food. In reality for me to order again I'd have to be really hungry for pizza, want it delivered, and Atomic Pizza would have to be the only place open. Sorry Atomic Pizza - it was not A-Okay. read more

Some of the best pizza I think I have ever had. Dare I saw it's a fierce competitor to Pizzamania. Everything about their pizza was great, the sauce, the crust, the toppings, and the cheese! I ordered via Eat24 and our food was ready in less time than estimated. The garlic knots are to die for. Please do yourselves a favor and don't forget the garlic knots. I also ordered their antipasto pizza but it was more lettuce than anything else so I probably wouldn't order it again. The staff is friendly and again, the food was great. I drive by here all the time and finally Tried them tonight and it was great. I really liked their sauce. Followed the recommendation of going with the Parmesan crust, quite the nice touch. We also tried both garlic and cinnamon knots. Both very yummy. Looking forward to trying their wings. All the homemade sauces we tried today were good so I assume those will be too. This place is one of the best pizza places I have been to in awhile. Their pizza had a great flavor and totally a good amount of toppings. I ordered over the phone about 30 min before closing and was hoping for something good not something rushed because they wanted to get out of there. I was very very pleased. Arrived to a small store front with room to sit and eat. The guy that assisted me was great. Had a great attitude and offered a menu and made me feel right at home. This is atleast the fifth time we've ordered from Atomic. The garlic knots are awesome, it's a big order for one person so plan on sharing with the whole family, for the price you would never guess! I searched high and low for garlic knots i liked around town, and although these are small knots they are still soft and awesomely chewy with deliciousness. Another thing I love about this place is they will do half and half pizzas with their specialties whereas most places wont split them up or charge way too much for them. The spicy chicken buffalo specialty with the BLT on the other half is my go-to. Their salads are big, big enough to share with your family along side their pizza. Delivery drivers are nice and courteous and if you ask for plates they bring them, try to get a big chain to do that! read more

Love their pizza. Particularly their crust. Its not too thin like most places. Nice and crispy outside and soft and fluffy inside. Their parmesan crust it good too. Their salads are pretty good quality and cheaper than they should be.... if I wasn't so frugal I'd tell them to add at least a dollar to their price. Garlic knots are delicious.
