As someone who has ordered and eaten at the Sacramento Fire Wings more times than any other restaurant, I gotta say this Brea location might even be doing it better than Sacramento. The Brea location is great, the layout and vibes are ideal. Staff were helpful and friendly. Food came out quick, fresh and crispy. 530 pm, Sunday, December 07, 2025 Placed an app order for pickup. It was a 60 wing family order that came with the "works" aka sides and fries. It's my first time trying Fire Wings. The order was ready quickly ahead of schedule! According to the texts it took them less than 25 minutes to send the ready for pickup text. Parking wasn't terrible, my son was driving. Could not find a spot in the immediate aisle, no biggie, park closer to the Men's Warehouse. Plenty of spots a few aisles over. We were greeted kindly by the female employee. I announced we were here to pickup our order. I was awkward cuz I was fumbling trying to find the email on my phone. TIP: click on the tracker text. It'll pull up the order number. For Pete's sake, it better be enough food for $120 + $10 tip. I hope the kids enjoy it. They wouldn't steer me wrong would they??? Haha. OMG... I wanted to like the food so much but it did not impress me. So, their finishing quickly meant that the food steamed in their containers losing their crispy and crunchy texture. We got there 5 minutes after the ready message and then we drove back home. Their seasoned fries and garlic Parm fries were a disappointment (not crispy nor flavorful) as well as their bland flavorings of Malaysian curry, Jamaican jerk, garlic Parm, their blue cheese, ranch, and honey mustard were awful. The winning items were the Dragon wings & nuggets, and the cole slaw. The under rated slaw had a nice spicy kick to the dressing. Delicious. Dragon flavoring best of the wings. Overall 3 out of 9 = 33% success rate on the prepared food items, veggies excluded. Speed was fast but the packed food sat for five minutes steaming in their containers causing them to lose their crispy freshness. I can't recommend Fire Wings take out if you live outside of Brea. I've been going to Fire Wings since it opened. Tonight's experience was far beyond what I am accustomed to. I tend to show up right before closing and grab a beer and some wings. I was greeted by the bartender Saul who didn't rush me, and made me feel right at home. I ordered a drink and he didn't skip a beat to find me another similar beer to sample. The drinks were ice cold! And I couldn't just have one. I debated on what wings to get. Saul asked very important questions to get me to the right choice. Once I ordered we talked sports, politics, business. The old school qualities that newer places skimp out on. It made me want to hang out, have a few more beers, and another order of wings. Isn't that the idea? I hope the rest of the staff learns from Saul he's a great example on how to keep businesses alive. Fire Wings is located off of Birch and State College, directly across the street from the Brea Mall. It is easy to locate and access. Parking is plentiful. The restaurant design concept is unique in that it has 2 very large garage-type roll up doors on the long side of the establishment, opening up to patio seating. This makes the space airy, but very chilly when the temps are low. Seating is plentiful inside with the option of high top or traditional tables. We came in after the lunch rush so we were able to order at the counter (during busier times, ordering at the table from a QR menu is highly encouraged). The gal working the front was pleasant and efficient. My friend and I ordered off of the lunch specials menu: 10 piece wings and 6 piece wings combo. We both opted for the boneless version. Let's start with just the overall boneless wings. As others have mentioned, these breaded chicken chunks are nothing special. They are similar to frozen boneless chicken you can buy at Costco. So the flavors are what should set them apart, right? In my 10 piece, I chose 5 Malaysian curry and 5 peanut sauce. While there was some curry taste, salt was the most prominent flavor. I was especially excited to try the peanut wings, only to be disappointed. While there was some peanut sauce flavor, there was an underlying Thai chili flavor that had me puzzled. My friend ordered the garlic Parmesan wings. They were served cooked and then topped with minced garlic and shredded Parmesan cheese. The side of sweet potato fries was a generous serving and had a nice flavor. Coke drinkers be warned, only Pepsi is served here and no unsweetened iced tea options are available. So bottom line is, the experience was fine , but the food was underwhelming. Not sure if bone in wings are better. Perhaps we'll give this place another try and order those next time. So the server is always great! Wings are normally on point. HOWEVER...come in on a wing Wednesday and have to be sure to count your wings. Specials say 10 wings for $9.50 but Polly the cook decides to only give you 9 on each order. I got a to go order for my kid while I was there and guess what....9 wings only. I had been curious about this place, so I stopped by over Memorial Weekend. My husband and I were just going to have a drink before our dinner reservation near by. You order at the counter. They serve beer, soju, and hard seltzer. I saw there was green apple White Claw, which I had never tried. I ordered it, but was told there was only black cherry or mango. I went with black cherry, which I can get anywhere. My husband got Huckleberry from the draft, which he was happy about. We sat at the bar top. I would have preferred if there was wine. If beer and soju is served, that means the license would also be allowed wine. We saw some of the food go by and it looked good. If I ever come back, I will try the jerk wings and pizza. Almost. Almost good was the phrase that kept coming up. Ambiance - Nicely design modern interior with two garage-style windowed walls that open up to the patio. But why was the garage open two feet up in the middle of January at 8pm when it's 50 degrees outside? I was so confused at first because the heaters were blasting, so depending on where you were sitting you were either very warm or very cold. Service - one of the worst parts of the experience. You have to order at the register before you can sit down and no one was paying attention to the lines forming. The most awkward part was when the server came up to the register finally... but she only came up to set something down -- didn't say hi or a "I'll be right with you". She definitely ignored us after we'd been waiting awhile, and then came back finally came back to take our order like we hadn't been waiting there the whole time. This was constant throughout the evening, not just our experience. It was never too busy. One of the servers was even sitting at the bar and simply not paying attention. Food - almost good. Several things were cooked very well, but the recipes seemed off... - the garlic noodles were perfectly cooked a nice al dente (instead of the limp noodles you normally get) and sauce tasted good at first until it hits the back of your tongue and you realize it was SO salty and a little bitter. - some of the fusion wings are breaded like Chinese lollipop chicken like the Saigon wings. But the breading just doesn't go well with the heavy, sweet fish sauce. The crunch just wasn't as good because the sauce weighed it down. - the "seasoned" fries were not very seasoned. They were flavored with some cajun-esque but we had to add a lot of salt. They were pretty bland, but I liked the done-ness. They seemed partially breaded, but not quite? But they had a nice crunch. - their blue cheese dressing has a very strong blue cheese flavor. Just a heads up. Overall, great ideas but the recipes need work. I don't blame the cooks, I blame ownership. For the most part, everything was cooked very well. And lastly, they only have paper to-go boxes. But my wings were doused in sauce that I'm pretty sure would have leaked through the paper had I not left them in their original serving-ware (which took up a lot of space). read more

The crinkle cut fries we usually get were replaced by dry/hard fries that were terrible. Tried this restaurant for the first time and it started with frustration because they ask you to grab a seat and scan the bar code that is located on the table to order and pay. The problem was that my husband and I have struggled for 10 minutes since the chicken tender combo did not have an option for fries when it suppose to come with the meal so we finally gave up on the app and ended up going to the front and ask the staff to order. When we share the frustration with the staff, she apologized for the inconvenience and kindly explained that they were having a technical problem with the app that they are currently working on it. She handled the situation very calmly and professionally, which I applause her greatly. She even upgraded one of our orders without letting us know, which was very kind of her. Their customer service is beyond EXCELLENT. The restaurant is very spacious, enough to have a cool bar with several TVs and cool outdoor seating for dog owners to hang out with their cute dogs. I would say the boneless wing had an interesting texture and flavor because it is strangely identical as chicken McNuggets from McDonald's in a good way.
