Find it using the tablet (including size and variant), then request it. It will be forwarded to the staff working there, who will retrieve it and bring it over. Pretty efficient. Overall the store seems pretty clean, with shiny floors, as well as a large foot print; it has two entrances. The cashiers were also pretty friendly. We asked for some scissors to remove a tag, and they were able to come up with a solution. Parking is pretty straightforward. There are some trees for shade.

IME, it is best to get work done after the hunting rush. Wait times get worse the closer you get to fall. Apr through Jul is usually best. I had a pistol Cajunized in the busy season and it took a little over a month. I took one in during mid-Spring, dropped it off at 11, and had it done same day by 4:30. The DA/SA are so much lighter and crisper. I have Cajunized one myself, so I know what is involved. It is surprisingly hard to find gunsmiths with experience Cajunizing, or with CZs in general. I guess it makes sense, they are far less common than Glocks, M&Ps, etc. I have had smiths tell me they do not work on CZs, or they say "we can do that, we'll figure it out," which is not comforting. Each time I came in, the associate at the counter brought me to talk to a gunsmith. He knew the order the parts go back in, that some jobs like the mag release are easier when everything is already apart, and that you have to remove the front sight pin to replace the barrel bushing. The sear cage is a nightmare to get back together, so I'm happy to outsource it. It's clear they do a bunch of them here, so it takes less time than me installing it or a smith doing it for the first time.

Several employees helped me while I was there, and every single person was kind, knowledgeable, and willing to help. I was actually surprised to see that this location has some lower reviews because that has never been my experience. Every time I've shopped here, I've received great service. I'm not sure how old some of those reviews are, but my experience was excellent. I found exactly what I was looking for, got the price I was hoping for, and was treated with genuine care throughout the entire process. Huge thank you to Patrick and the rest of the team. So first of all, there are 4 larger water slides. And probably 3 or so smaller ones. They have a total of 2 lifeguards on watch. One lifeguard sits at a chair "watching over" the smaller, right side of the park. And the other one switching between the top of the larger water slides every so often depending on which is busier. There are multiple lifeguards but only 2 out on the park floor at a time, all very young teenagers. Not a single adult working there. I think that is a huge problem in itself but let me go on. I watched my 4 yr old like a hawk the whole time we were there because the lifeguards obviously weren't paying attention, lots of older kids running around, etc. I watch my son go down the larger slide. I'm waiting at the bottom for him for 5 minutes. Still hasn't came out. I go to the top to look down the slide where there should've been a lifeguard but no one to be found. I go to the lifeguard sitting in the chair at the front and tell him that my 4 yr old went down and has not came out yet and I think he's stuck in the slide. He ARGUES WITH ME and says "no I've been watching and there's no one in the slide" UMMMM WHAT?!! Obviously realizing they could care less about my child or any children there, and I don't have time to argue because I'm worried about my 4 yr old, I rush back to the top of the slide and go down it and what do u know, my son was stuck in the middle of the pitch black loop of the slide, terrified and crying. This is totally unacceptable, I don't even have words. Hopefully that's enough to let you know this is not the place to go but if not, let me move on to my next complaint. There was a group of older kids constantly trying to climb up the larger water slides in the back that no one can see unless you walk back there. Which in the 3 hours I was there not one lifeguard walked back there or even glanced to check on anything. The first time I notified the lifeguard about the kids going up the slide, she went back there and told them that's not allowed. Then they kept doing it and multiple other parents complained as well. The second time I complained that they were still doing it and almost seriously injured my 4 yr old, the lifeguard said "oh I know I already told them to stop". Ummmm okay??? So you're just going to keep letting them do it putting all the other kids at danger?? At MINIMUM their parent should've been notified but in my opinion they should've been asked to leave after the 3rd complaint/telling them to stop. Honestly I could go on and on but I don't have all day. I truly just hope they increase the amount of lifeguards and hire experienced lifeguards that actually care about children's safety and at minimum have one adult employee on-site.

My biggest turn off was before she really asked how my son was, she asked if we had signed the waiver. I'm not saying this place isn't great for most people, but I personally won't be returning.

Thrilled we have the water level back to 100% Hippie Hollow is the only nude beach in Texas. So I'm told. Started many decades ago when the catch phrase "keep Austin weird" actually meant something. Weddings have actually been performed here. Maybe someday mine will too. Haha. I went all the way down to trail 6 to see if there would be an easy way down, and easy to get out of the water. Now that the water level is so high, it just becomes a cliff. Easy to get in, just jump. But climbing out, can get a little tricky. Picking a trail to go down can be tricky. Of course you want to give people their private space. You need a spot where you can lay out on a blanket. And getting out of the water easily where you don't have to be rescued. I needed rescuing last time, and luckily I was able to get in and out fine on my own. The second time a gentleman was walking past, and offered his hand to help me out. People are just so friendly here. I met two gentleman separate occasions. Very nice. Apparently they are regulars here. Water was choppy again. It's hard to just float and relax. You just have to keep treading water and keep your head up. Super freeing. Natural. Water is refreshing, the Texas sun is like no other. But the ants! Oh my word, they bit. Next time ant spray. They're brutal. Till next time Hippie Hollow, stay weird.

Let's start with the cons: it's seriously off the beaten path- there's nothing out there. Bring everything you need- water, food, sunscreen etc. Secondly, there is literally no beach- just rocks, lots of rocks. Lastly, it is not dog, kid, or "out of shape" friendly. You have to climb around and over all those rocks to get to the water. (Oh, and there is a fee per person, if there's someone on duty). Now the pros- it is seriously off the beaten path, which means there's parking and very few people. Secondly, the water is clear and beautiful as are the views. It is near a marina, so boaters give nice waves every so often. Lastly, I loved sitting in my float just listening to the water hit the rocky shore. Very peaceful. I enjoyed it, but it's not for everyone. Let me know if you go- enjoy!

Their guide KC guided us for our first guided instructional / coaching fishing trip to the San Gabriel River where we caught loads of bass, sunfish, Rios, Warmouths. KC introduced US to popper dropper fishing with nymphs, which yielded great success!! We attended their free Saturday class on introduction to fly fishing which included hands-on casting instruction and tips on where to fish, tackle to use and solid common sense conservation information. Living Waters conducts countless classes free to any and all who register. These classes are in part funded by federal or state grants awarded to qualifying organizations that DO NOT CHARGE for the classes. This is like gold for newbies like me. Inasmuch as I apparently like to decorate riverside trees with colorful flies, they have sold me countless flies to replace them. Once when I broke the tip of my 5 weight 9 ft TFO rod, they partnered with the rod manufacturer and arranged for a replacement tip to be on hand at Living Waters when we were passing thru Round Rock to go fishing on the San Marcos. Thank you TFO and Living Waters!!! I recently went on a guided float trip on the Llano River with guides Jim and KC lost count of the fish I caught and released and among those, countless Rios, which I LOVE to hook and fight. I am in a lather to float the Llano with them again as soon as they arrange another trip. (I've asked them to grant me first right of refusal because I'm so special!!!!).
