It has that classic institutional look where it melted, cooled down quickly, and congealed into a single, tight layer. The Onions look completely raw, stiff, and just tossed on top after the pizza came out of the oven, rather than being baked into the cheese. The Mushrooms & Proteins: Everything is sitting precariously on top of that congealed cheese layer rather than being integrated into the slice. I got delivery the other night. Had to try their meatballs, sausage and olive oil and garlic pasta. Start off with the meatballs, I enjoyed the taste and it was moist. The sauce that it came with was not bad. Onto the sausage, disappointed with it. Starters say if it's either hot or sweet sausage. It was sweet. The disappointment came when the sausage was sliced in half. I prefer them whole, ok flavor. Would have been better if it was hot sausage. Onto the pasta, it was ok as well. The garlic sliced which I don't mind but it was missing something with the entire flavor. I will try other dishes before I head back home. read more

Do not order here!!! Ordered a large cheesesteak with peppers, onions and mushrooms which I never saw by the way. The bread was soggy snd consumed the entire sandwich. There was hardly any meat or cheese. It had the nerve to cost $23 and some change. I will starve before I order from here!! The Attlios by ShopRite was soooo much better. One pizza box was crushed Pizza was average middle of the road Pepperoni was the same. Chicken Parmigiana hero's were above average but 2 inches of each end of the sandwich were empty.....seriously? That Cheesesteak Pizza slice was just gross. Soggy and undercooked, even when I asked them to leave it in the oven until crispy. I ate it and left because I was just hungry. It's just a minimal amount of cheesesteak meat, with American cheese slices on top. I might consider trying a more traditional slice sometime, but there are better places to go in the meantime. My husband and I have been eating at Attilios Restaurant for the past five years and I can't remember ever having a bad meal. Their prices are lower than most places in the area and the service is great. Their food is as good as any high-end restaurant. Also, the ambience is nice and the place is spotless. Ordered a large pizza for 4 of us. Half white pizza with mushrooms and olives and half chicken bacon ranch. Then pizza was very good, so much cheese on the white pizza that the slice was hard to eat without a fork. The slices were decent size. Disappointed in the service. Good food, with arrogant and lazy service in their dining room. All the pizza was good, except one was burned. The server Gerardo (sp?) couldn't care less about the customers. It was not busy and he was insultingly absent from the table. Never checked back with us once to see if we need anything else. Very good pizza. I ordered a hot peppers and mushroom pie and thoroughly enjoyed it. Sauce is not sweet, which made me extremely happy as many pizzerias have turned up the sugar lately. I hate to leave bad reviews. I didn't like the bottom crust AT ALL. The edge crust was ok. The toppings were great. But I couldn't get past that soggy, too thick bottom that was a bit charred. I just threw away the majority of the pies by eating only the toppings and edge crust. One White pie, and one Pepperoni and garlic. Maybe they had an off night or something. Love the pizza here it's amazing! Simple, yet good pizza on the jersey shore! Although I didn't get any antipasto salad tonight, its is my usually go to along with a slice or two!! You seriously cannot best the prices eating for the quality of food! Ok, so 4 of us came here for dinner. My one friend didn't want to have pizza so she grabbed a hot dog next door and came into the pizza place and joined us. Now, I understand not bringing outside food into another restaurant, but on the flip side, we are ordering 3 meals. I'm guessing it was the owner who came over to the table to tell us my friend shouldn't be in here with her outside food. Ok, fair enough, she offered to go outside and he just kept repeating that he has a business here. He was so nasty and just walked away. We told our friend to just finish her food, which she did. The place was empty, lots of open tables. I'm thinking he could have handled the situation differently. Your table would have been empty, you would have lost money on the meals we ordered. I have to say Attilio's rose to the occasion last night. 16 of us stumbled in after partying at Charley's across the street after 8PM. Unannounced, Attilio's sat us unceremoniously. We had only one waitress, Ashley, who exceeded expectations. Having had a few drinks prior to coming here plus we hadn't seen each other in a while led to a somewhat boisterous crew. Coupled with the fact that we grabbed a couple of bottles of wine from the liquor store two doors down; you get the idea. After finally deciding what kind of pizza and what to get on it we ordered. That was the worst part of the night. All uphill from there. The pizza came out quickly and was "burn the roof of your mouth" hot. I had the sausage and pepper. Crispy thin crust, cheesy, and plenty of sausage; delicious. Ashley was superb and the pizza was what I think of as traditional. Thin crust but not cracker thin. Last night (yes I ordered pizza on VDay) was the 3rd and last time I'll order from Attilios. First time, I only ordered a pizza and picked it up. The pizza was ok, no complaints. Second time, my husband and I both ordered sandwiches and a side of meatballs. Worst meatballs ever, really. They were obviously frozen. They were the meatballs you'd find in the Dollar Store. Seriously! They were that bad. And not even just bad compared to my Italian mother in laws meatballs. They were bad like my dog wouldn't even eat them. Bad like my blind Jewish grandmother could have made better meatballs (I don't really have a blind Jewish Grandmother). Bad like having to eat them could be considered cruel and unusual punishment. "We only use the freshest ingredients"...my @ss. Third time, I ordered a pizza and a wrap. I placed my order over the phone for delivery, paid with my credit card and was told 45 mins. An hour and a half later, I call back asking about my order. The guy tells me my card wouldn't go through. Low and behold, he had written down the wrong number. And he said they tried to call me 3 times but it wouldn't go through. He had the number wrong. So maybe they should have someone who speaks fluent f*cking English take the phone orders so they can actually get it right! And the wrap was dry and the pizza was gross. So I had to wait 2 hours for gross food. Oh, and no apology. No discount taken off. Being dicks can almost be excused if your food is awesome, but Attilios has nothing going for it. I had always been a loyal customer and fan of Attilio's, however after my most recent visit that has drastically changed. The two things that have turned me off to this restaurant: 1. They charged me an extra $1.25 for a whole wheat wrap, which was not posted anywhere. To top it off I did not even recieve a whole wheat wrap. 2. After placing an order for pickup of a sicilian pizza, I arrived at the restaurant to find that they had failed to even make the pizza. Not only were the employees behind the counter completely unapologetic, but they offered no solution other than "we don't have a sicilian pizza, we have a plain one". I would stay away from this restaurant until they can get their act in order. There are many other local pizzerias in the area that care for their customers and offer up excellent food. read more

It's one of the closest eateries next to the beach. My friends and I called ahead, we ordered a large pie, wings and sandwiches. By the time we left the beach and drove up the street our order was ready. Everything was hot and fresh. The buffalo wings were good still crispy with the perfect amount of sauce.
