My family and I are longtime frequent patrons of Aubrey's in Grand Blanc. Table 42, check 102 tonight. Tonight the service was horrible, starting with getting the wrong order. Once we were finally able to get our server to come back to our table, I let them know I received the wrong burger. While we waited, I had eaten 1/2 of my fries, however, I did not take a bite of the wrong burger, it was not appealing and not what I had ordered. The server took my plate, wrong burger and 1/2 of what was left of my fries. Which, ofc, were supposed to be eaten with the burger I had ordered.lI continued to wait, watching the rest of our family eat their dinner.Finally, the server brought my correct burger on a small plate,no fries. "Hmm, where's my fries?" The server left our table, then came back to say his manager says he would have to charge me for an extra order of fries, since I had ate most of them when they took my plate to make the correct order. I assumed, when they took my plate, it would be returned to me with the correct burger. Cold fries would have been an improvement over no fries with my burger. Not only did Aubrey's mess up my order, they wanted to charge me EXTRA for it! Ridiculous! By then, my family had finished their dinner, and it was their turn to watch me eat, as they waited. Aubrey's, my family and I are shocked at the horrible treatment we received. We have not had to have an order corrected before tonight. We are good tippers, and respectful understanding patrons. None of us would guessed Aubrey's would treat patrons in such a rude manner.They make an error, then blame the patron, and rather than make it right, have the audacity to charge the customer extra to have it corrected! Unacceptable! To the owners, your manager on site tonight, May 17,2026, needs training on appropriate customer service, how to fix Aubrey's mistakes, be apologetic, make it right. The three of us at family dinner tonight have decided, we won't be coming back. This experience has cost Aubrey's far more than a few sweet potato fries. We have brought family from out of state and treated them to dinner here. Petty, nasty, weird treatment of patrons has cost your establishment $$$. We will NOT be back. We will not recommend to anyone to dine there. There are quality establishments that appreciate their patrons and treat them well. For those thinking about giving Aubrey's a try, first, the music can be loud, like tonight. Be sure your server takes the correct order. If you receive the wrong food, hand the wrong food to your server in a napkin, keep your dinner plate with whatever you have not eaten. When it's gone, it's gone, and will cost you extra to be replaced. Aubrey's, turn your music down so servers and customers can communicate effectively. Whatever power trip your 'manager' is on, needs to be quelled. We are well tempered humans, we don't expect miracles, we understand mistakes happen. We do, however, expect them to be corrected without being charged EXTRA. Like the 3% extra charge for debit card payments. Kindness and consideration is free. Ugliness and disrespect is costly. I know as a former business owner, word of mouth can make or break a business. Treat your friends like family, and your family like friends. Everyone you interact with is a customer, every interaction is an interview. Be better or lose business, Aubrey's. How many customers walk away without saying a word or leaving a review, it is probably more than you can imagine. Poor treatment will kill a business fast. In this economy, no one can afford to lose anyone who is willing to pay you to eat in your establishment. It should be your honor to provide a place to bring families and friends together to share a decent meal and catch up. One thing the pandemic has taught us, life is short. Time with loved ones is more precious than ever. Gather with them in places that lift you up. read more

We came in with a wedding party for a rehearsal dinner so it would almost be unfair to rate our single waitresses service. She had a lot going on. What I can't understand is why with such a large party, no one else was asked by management to help. Now that we've got that out of the way... we ordered the build your own burgers. One burger was simple (lettuce, tomato, pickle, onion), cooked exactly how I asked, hot when it came out and had good flavor. The onion rings on the side were warm, the outer layer was perfectly crunchy. The second burger had just about everything you could stick on a burger. The patty was cooked to order, warm, melty cheese and a nice array of toppings that were all delightful. The sweet potato fries were a salty/sweet but were a little cold. There's not much to be said about the ambiance of our area since we were in a private room in the back. The tables could've been arranged differently for a big party so we could all interact and it would've been nice to maybe have the football game on or something on the large tv's in the room. After a hard week of work, I wanted a hardy burger and a good IPA. Experience tonight was so bad that it made me download Yelp! Just to post this review. Pictures will speak for themselves. I left hungry and went to Culver's. This is NOT the place for the burger. Fry size is not a pub burger, maybe a slider? And what's with the fry rationing? Cherry tomato in pic was a sympathy offering from my 13 year old daughter. They got the booze - but I suggest you stick to the pizza and salads IF you decide to go here or you will be disappointed like me. Microwave kitchen meaning not much is "theirs" or fresh or made on-site. Avoid entrees. While place was well staffed, Service was neither warm or attentive on a Saturday at 5:00. Definitely both kitchen and front of house issues. You could see the frustration on the young staff's faces. Managers please take note: we tipped well, didn't complain but we'll think more than twice before coming back. My beer was good. read more

Recently visited the Howell Aubrees for the lunch buffet. Excellent salad bar. Can't say enough good things about the salad, pizza and the service. The variety of fresh pizzas was wonderful. Clare, our waitress, was there when needed without us looking for her. I appreciated the manager asking us about the quality of food and service. Still new to the GB area, feeling the local fare out. Last night was Aubree's turn. Wife wanted pizza to go with her salad and it was her idea to carry out a "deep dish" from Aubree's. Her toppings of choice were italian sausage & banana peppers. The toppings were the best outcome of the night. All downhill from there. First, I was told over the phone the pizza would be ready in 20-25 minutes. Thought that was a bit optimistic for a "deep dish" from a busy place on a Saturday @ 6pm. Turned out I was right. Took 37 minutes. Ok, no biggie. Staffing's tough all over. Then I open up the box after the short 1.5 mile ride home and its obvious the pizza had been resting awhile before I got it. It wasn't cold mind you. But it was nowhere near piping hot either. But here's the thing: it wouldn't have mattered. The pizza wasn't good. Not because the staff failed but because the chain's management thinks this is what passes for good "deep dish". I keep using the quotes because it ain't deep dish. In the metro Detroit area that can mean anything from Buddy's to Cloverleaf to Loui's or even Pizza Papalis. There's a range. Aubree's "deep dish" is nowhere in it. I can't remember the last time I had a square deep dish pizza where I avoided the corners. Probably never. Two full-sized adults, one large square deep dish, just one corner consumed. The staff executed the recipe. The recipe itself is bad. There were no missing toppings. Sauce was there. Mgmt just doesn't understand the product. But we've got to bear some of the blame too. I did note to my wife that in nearly 3 months in the Flint area you don't see many places touting deep dish pizza. This location has a successful competitor across the street that makes it clear in their marketing that they do *not* do a deep dish style. I think we asked Aubree's to do something that's not in its wheelhouse. We've both met people who really like other things on Aubree's menu. So we will come back to Aubree's again and I'll be happy to update my rating. It probably won't happen right away though. read more

LeRoy: I had the Cajun on the Bayou and it was very tasty. It had sausage slices and chicken with a very good, smooth Cajun flavor. I would get it again because it was tasty' the cheese bread was good. The breadsticks that came with my meal were good. Katie: I decided to try one of the special sandwiches called the Chicken Caprese. It had loads of pesto-right up my alley! I enjoyed it with crinkle cut sweet potato fries. Would have given 5 stars but service was a problem. First the food. Ordered the Specialty Meat pizza and it was fantastic. Best pizza I have had in years. Loved the Harvest salad. We ordered the meatball appetizer and it was ok, nothing to write home about. But it was supposed to come with bread sticks. They didn't put them in the bag. About the service....we wanted to call our order ahead of time so I didn't have to wait around for it. Nobody would answer the phone. Were they closed? Too busy to answer the phone? No, when I got there they didn't have that many people inside and I saw no reason for them to not take calls. We have the option of ordering on line, but to do that you have to pay be credit card. We were going to use Seize The Deal coupons so this wasn't an option. Bottom line I had to sit around for 20 minutes for my order. Travelling up in Michigan area-- had a chance to stop by and eat here. Mix of American fare on the menu with pizza/pastas. My party ordered and I ordered a grilled chicken sandwich, cheddar, and bacon. Food took a while but when it showed up my chicken was deep fried, pickles, cheese on it, no bacon-- told the runner to take it back as this was too far off what I ordered. Kyle our server returned and rudely said to me-- just so you know you have to tell us you want grilled-- full of attitude. I told him it's not appropriate to correct-- he said it's just so you know for next time. After he left I checked with my daughter and cousin who both agreed I ordered grilled initially, Kyle also forgot that we ordered aubrees bread for an appetizer, no apology no nothing. Time and time again, it doesn't matter how good the food is- if you experience rude service it reflects on the management and ownership. Yelpers there are too many other good places to eat in the area. Stay away from Aubree's. read more

I want to like Aubree's more, because it is local and convenient, but the food is consistently so average. The positives are that the staff is always welcoming and friendly. Cocktails and beer are good and reasonably priced, and the atmosphere is nice with lots of images of local teams and athletes. But the food is always just OK, with not many (more) healthful or gluten free options. Pizzas always seem pretty disappointing, compared to better Flint area shops, with pretty stingy toppings for the price. As I said, we keep trying it because we like to support local business, but it could be better. read more

Been wanting to check this place out for over a year, finally came in today for my birthday with my MIL. Sat at the bar and was immediately put off. The bartender (in her 50s? dark hair) was standoffish from the get go. As we sat down, she asked if we wanted something to drink. I said yes, do you have a menu? She scoffed that she'd be getting me one if I waited, but what do I want to drink? Oh, I'm sorry, I've never been here before and was asking for a drink menu... she pointed to the beer list on the wall and stated that they have a full-bar. Fair enough, so I asked (a third time) if she had a drink menu, or if I'd just have to order whatever drink I thought up. She finally handed me a drink menu, only to take it away before I'd decided, and handed it to the woman on the other side of the bar. Uh?? It was 2:10pm when we got there (40mins ago! I'm writing this from my car), and it was essentially empty. I figured she'd have at least two menus... So when I finally order, this woman is standing at the computer shouting at me about what I'd like to order. Can she not come over to my side of the bar and ask so I don't have to shout at her across the bar? Anyway, I order my pizza which is absolutely delicious. We both ordered separate mini pizzas, different crusts and sauces, and neither were disappointed. The cocktail I ordered was *ok*. Only after we ordered, however, did I notice that she didn't say a word about happy hour (the menu wasn't even in sight - it was behind the keno slips behind the bar), and happy hour started ten minutes before we even arrived. Bummer. She also only asked if we wanted refills on our beverages when we asked her about getting the check. All in all the food was great, the place is clean and up to date, but the bartender wasn't pleasant. I've only been to Aubree's once, and thankfully the service was fast and pleasant. I think they may have ironed out some of the initial kinks that I was reading about in previous reviews... or we were just lucky! Four people total were in our party, and we all decided to split one of their specialty pizzas as a light lunch. The Tuscan Sun came out within a reasonable amount of time, and it was piping hot and ready to devour. The topping combination was top notch, with plenty of spinach, feta, sun-dried tomatoes & artichoke hearts. The crust and sauce didn't really stand out to me, but have no complaints about either. I'd be curious to try some of their other menu items to find out what their signature dishes are, as many sounded quite good. Each booth has its own table-side TV, so you can watch whatever sport your table desires. I happened to be with my aunt, mother and grandmother, so we just turned it off completely per their request, hah. Not sure if I would be a regular here, but it's a nice sports bar addition to GB. Nice job tonight Aubree's! I live right down the road, and you have not even been on my food option list for the last couple of years. Don't remember what it was that turned me off previously, but I think my experiences had put you in the just average or below average category. Tonight changed that for now. Great job with service, friendliness, speed, etc. All 6 of us enjoyed everything. Give kudos to the cooks. Everything came out hot. So we just ordered bbq chicken pizza and it was not the best vs cottage inn pizza due to the fact that they barely added any bbq sauce and mainly cheese with no sauce underneath the cheese.
