Nice staff, good food, and good beer made in house. The restaurant has that fun brewery vibe to it too. We picked-up a few cans of their in-house beer to take home with us. Not a bad place to stop by for lunch when you're in Auburn.

We love coming here and always have the best service. Kayla was especially great with our family. We plan to request her every time we visit. We had the burger, chicken bites and buffalo wings

Has to bring a few people with me to have a late lunch. Thanks to Sophie and Vince for the great service! (And all the staff) got seated right away - it was about 4pm on a Friday. There was people here but not crowded. They have inside dining, patio and bar service. The beer was great! Ordered Hop Donkey - it's a strong one so it comes in that smaller glass. The food was amazing!!!! Can't wait to come back again!!!

I popped into Auburn Alehouse to check out the hype and watch the NFL games. I walked in and was told the bar was open seating. There were many seats and lots of their beer on draft. There were also high top tables behind me. Anthony was my bartender. He was patient with me as I looked over their beer menu. I went with the Gold Digger IPA. It was very tasty! My friend joined me and got the My Friday Hazey IPA. That one was even tastier. I also indulged in a margarita. I am not a fan of table salt on the rim, though. I like the flaky rocky salt better. We did decide to get a snack. Their brew house pretzels and it comes with bacon crumbles, Old Town Brown beer cheese, and spicy mustard. I thought it was supposed to come with crumbled bacon and scallions on top of the pretzel, but what I received was a pretzel, plain with salt. I guess the bacon crumbles were on top of the beer cheese??? No scallions, though. I was not a fan. These pretzels were not soft and fluffy. Although salted, the pretzel itself didn't taste good. Our bartender, Anthony, said it may have been overcooked. So they took it off our bill. My bartop neighbor and her husband got burgers... and I would definitely be interested in trying those next time! They looked picture perfect!

Great service- typical brewhouse menu and experience of booming background chatter from large happy gatherings and a friendly helpful staff who is ready to answer any and every question you may have about the food, the beer, or what fun things there are to do in the area. We stopped to eat here before our journey over the I-80 back to Reno and found the Cilantro Lime Rice Bowl to be the perfect fuel for the drive ahead. No surprises there, sometimes a good cilantro lime rice bowl is just a good cilantro lime rice bowl. Absolutely would come back again.

Sat at the bar on this visit and we were treated swiftly by the bar tender. We sampled the following, Basil Hayden Old Fashioned, Pilsner and a charcuterie board. The board contained a grilled bratwurst, smoked cheddar, bacon jam, pickled onions ,crostini toast, stone ground mustard. All well prepared and plenty for both of us to share. Couple of new beers on tap, sampled a taster of the Rev Limit Pilsner & the Mrs tried a sample of the stout. High quality beer, cocktail's food and service.

We really enjoyed our time here. It was Easter and they had a special menu just for the day. It was cute and a nice touch. Even though it was busy the service was still really good and the food was cooked perfectly. We enjoyed all our dishes and the dessert was amazing. Best of all their desserts are made there.

We came here with a group of 6 in the middle of the day on Friday. We were told our wait would be 30 minutes. After 55 minutes we went inside to ask for an update and were told we would be next. Another 15 minutes later we were finally seated. Our server Alexis was genuinely sweet and amazing. She took great care of us even though she mentioned she was not feeling well and would be leaving soon. Once she left our new server was Courtney. The service completely changed. She was short with us from the start and barely came around. She acted like she would rather be anywhere else. Food wise the cheese bread was burnt and the kids burger was also burnt but everything else we ordered tasted great. When we asked for the check and asked Courtney to split it she said okay then came back with an unsplit check. Before we could even say anything she placed it on the table and walked away quickly. I had to get up and ask the host to pass on the message. From our table we could see the POS system and watched Courtney roll her eyes shake her head at us and at the check. She then dropped the check back on our table without a single word. This was my second time coming here and it will probably be my last. The first time I was here we were sat in the back and forgotten about. The food is good (other than the burnt bread) but the service is consistently disappointing. This place feels over hyped and the employees clearly need support and training

Driving through Auburn is the best because you get to stop for lunch at the awesome Auburn Alehouse! Today we had the Ahi tacos & the Alehouse Burger. Zero complaints. DEFINITELY WORTH THE TRIP! I got the ahi tacos seared & the waitress let me do the different slaws on each taco. Plus it came with wonton chips. Will eat this again. Every time they have an ahi option it's always delicious! & my lady got the burger cooked medium with fries. She LOVED it!

Came here unexpectedly and was pleasantly surprised by how beautiful the interior is--especially sitting by the windows with a great view. Unfortunately, after waiting about 15 minutes without being greeted, my partner and I decided to move to the bar instead. We had a couple of drinks, which were reasonably priced, and the staff at the bar was welcoming and friendly. We didn't try the food, as a nearby guest ordered a fish dish that had a noticeably strong odor, which turned us away. Overall, it's a great spot to enjoy a drink. Parking can be tricky during peak hours, but they do offer both indoor and outdoor seating.

It's been awhile and I'm reminded why I need to come more often! Phenomenal food. Very friendly and helpful staff. Only ding tonight was the ahi nachos. Miss the Shanghai Nachos of the past. Glad to see the Shanghai sauce back and available to add in some extra but more cucumber and tomato than the ahi

Me and the boy sure love coming here! Food is consistently delicious. Even when they are short staffed they make sure to get you what you need. And the view and ambiance is phenomenal!

This restaurant was worth the stop, very neat place. The little town itself was so beautiful. We had some beers, which were all delicious, and some appetizers. Service was excellent, but the hostess was not so friendly, it was not busy so I'm not sure what her deal was. Would still come back to try more of their menu items.

Ask the Community - Auburn Alehouse

    Where to park?

We parked on the street, right across from the restaurant. No problem.

Is there room for a group of ten?

Yes, but with a group that large, you might want to call ahead to make a reservation otherwise you might experience a wait.

How much are the growlers and 22s?

Hi! The growlers of beer all vary in price depending on the beer; for example the PU240 Imperial IPA will be a bit more in price due to more hops, higher alcohol, etc. The growler prices typically range from $18-$25. Crowlers are also available now…

    Are dogs allowed?

Yes! They have a great patio for dogs and always bring out dog bowls with water for us. The patio is pretty well enclosed and off the street. We love bringing our pups here.

Does the Auburn Alehouse still offer bottomless mimosas?

Hello, As of February 2021 we are offering Bucket of Mimosa which gives you the whole bottle!

    Music on the weekends?

Unfortunately, no. That's a great suggestion though!

The whole idea of Tap Houses really does appeal to me…read more I love being able to just grab a glass and seeing all the beers on the wall and picking what I want and how much I want. The people who run Waymaker Brewing in Roseville are doing this at the highest level. I've been to this location a few times for different events and every time a wonderful time was had. So as far as the beers go they have around 40 different beers on tap and also they have 10 wines on tap as well. So exactly how it works is this- When you walk in you give them a credit/debit card-then they give you a wristband-next you grab a glass and go pick your beer or wine and you get charged by the ounce you actually pour rather than by the glass size. Then at the end of the visit, you turn in your wristbands and you get charged whatever it is you poured in total for the visit-I love the entire concept. It's a great way to be able to try many types of beer instead of just a few big beers. Now let's talk about the elephant in the room for Waymaker. The thing that makes this place unique is they have 6 golf simulators a person can rent depending on day and time anywhere from $35-$60 an hour and up to 6 people can play on the simulator at one time. On these simulators there are more than 200 virtual courses available. It's a crazy amount of fun for golfers of all skill levels There is also a hand roll sushi bar inside called Fire Fish where one can order sushi-hand rolls-flatbreads or various small plates. It really is an amazing place. They also have a massive big screen in the back that is furnished with comfortable couches and chairs in case one wants to just hangout and watch whatever live sporting event is happening that visit. Let's see my last few visits I've gone with my son and we played a round of golf at Pebble Beach on the simulator. I've gone to a birthday party for my boss and we had 2 simulators rented and we ate sushi rolls and flatbread while drinking a lot of beer. I've gone to do after work drinks with a friend while watching NBA playoff basketball. Visits to Waymaker can be so many things but I can say for sure every visit will be fun. So if you find yourself out in Roseville and want to try something a little different-head on out to Waymaker Brewing, it really is a great time. PS. Parking is a breeze as they share a big lot with lots of spaces with other businesses.

When the waiter brought my drink, I immediately noticed it didn't look like a traditional Piña Colada, and after tasting it, I confirmed it certainly didn't taste like one either. I politely asked if I could exchange it for a different drink. The waiter returned and said the manager wouldn't allow an exchange but would offer me 50% off instead. I explained that I wasn't happy with the drink and simply wanted to order something else. The manager came over and explained that the menu includes a disclaimer stating the cocktails are made with soju instead of the traditional liquor. In my opinion, the waiter should have mentioned that when I ordered, especially since it significantly changes the flavor. I hadn't noticed the disclaimer--I simply ordered what I thought would be a classic Piña Colada. Unfortunately, I was still charged half the price for a drink I didn't enjoy and wasn't allowed to order a replacement. The manager emphasized that it was too expensive for the restaurant to remake drinks, which I found disappointing. I've never had an experience like this at any other restaurant. On a positive note, I ordered the Reuben sandwich with fries, and it was delicious. That was the highlight of the meal. However, the service was also lacking. Our waiter was slow and couldn't answer several of our questions without repeatedly leaving to ask someone else. Because of the poor customer service and how the drink situation was handled, I won't be returning.

For years now, I've been saying these guys make some of the best, most unique beers in our area. And anyone looking for a solid pint or some creative things to try, would do well to swing by. Firstly, I absolutely love the location. It's a cozy little spot in the north Truckee industrial area. But step through the doors, and you enter a space that can only be described as a mix of hippy commune and witch's lair, with some delightfully quirky decor, and an incredibly friendly staff. Really does feel like a hidden gem. But as for r the beers themselves; in short, I think these are some of the best quality, and most niche types of brews you'll find around here. They have a smaller menu, but what they have is dominated by their Forest Beer series. These are concoctions made with all sorts of foraged ingredients from the forests, fields, and farms close to Truckee. Always changing, it is something to try out. The Borrowed Bines used fresh cut hops, the Bay Shore uses locally culled bay leaves, the Range of Light uses picked juniper berries, and the Dirt Candy uses mushrooms that grow in the woods. They also have been breaking into brewing their own apple cider, which is delicious but quite strong. Plus, they will usually have N/A options with their house lemonade or brewed soda on tap, too. So yeah, the menu almost certainly has something for everyone. Prices for everything are pretty typical.for the area, usually around $8-9 per pint. Though my one sort of gripe is that the smaller 4-5 ounce tasters are like $4 each, a bit pricier than most other tasters, so that makes it quickly more pricy to try out a lot of their menu. If you want any beers to-go, sadly they only offer a few at this juncture, and in bottles. And there is no food here, just a few snacks for sale. But make sure to browse their swag stands, as they have some eclectic merch. All in all, I definitely encourage any beer fans to come and check this spot out. Been one of my favorites for years, and I'll bet it can easily become one of yours, too. Cheers, all!
