There were about three things that I wanted to order. I finally settled on the corned beef hash, and eggs with a side of country gravy. Winner. My wife picked the Captain Hook omelette, which has mushrooms, shrimp, avocado, and cheese with hollandaise sauce. Both were delicious. Really sweet experience there this past weekend. The owners were so welcoming and kind. They spoke so highly of the community and encouraged us to join in on some upcoming events. Now the food. Everything was great! We shared a plate of biscuits and gravy, my brother ordered sausage and eggs with hash browns, my boy ordered something similar, my girl got the kids Mac and cheese, and I got the pork slider appetizers (which was hearty itself). Okay came back to OT Grill and it exceeded the prior experience. Mom had the standard Benedict and I had the Crab Cake Bene. The eggs were poached perfectly, the hollandaise was on point and as always the portions were huge! My wife had the Mushroom Swiss burger, sub w croissant and a side of BBQ sauce. In Auburn for the day, and decided to take a chance on this restaurant. Well, so happy I chose this place! I was immediately greeted by a friendly server named Sowsan, and she showed me to my table. It happened to be in her section anyway, and she was so friendly and attentive to anything I needed. I came in around brunch time, so I opted for an omelette with fresh fruit and an English muffin, and it did not disappoint. The food came out in good time, everything looked lovely and pleasant, and for one person, the portion was more than enough. The fruit was fresh and flavorful as was the avocado on top of the omelette. I also ordered an almond milk latte, and Sowsan made it for me. She even asked if I wanted cinnamon on top, which, of course, yes! The ambience of this place is casual and cute, with cheerful plastic table cloths featuring sunflowers and decorations of more sunflowers and chickens on the wall. There is an espresso bar where they can make anything you want that's coffee-related! Sowsan also informed me they make hot chocolate with homemade whipped cream, which I will definitely have to get the next time I'm passing through. In my opinion, this restaurant is family friendly. There's also an outdoor patio, so if the weather is nice, I would bring children and sit outside. Inside would be fine as well, but since it is a more cozy space, if your children like to be on the active side, sitting outside would be a more comfortable experience. Overall, I'm very happy that I chose this place to have my brunch at. The prices, the ambience, the friendliness of the staff, the cleanliness, and the historical aspect of the building all made for a wonderful and pleasant experience. My Go-To breakfast and lunch spot. It started when I was house hunting in 2020, my mom and I would come in for lunch. We had rose colored glasses on because we LOVE everything about Auburn. 5 years later, the service and food are just as good, if not better. Always consistent. I have noticed very little staff turn over, which says a lot about an establishment. The servers now recognize me, and I consider them friends, but since I am usually here solo, I watch them with all tables and guests, The entire staff is friendly and kind. Nice atmosphere, but the food was mid and honestly below average. Coffee was whatever, espresso drinks also mid. Server was nice, but I ordered a half order of French toast and wasn't told it's only $1 cheaper -- $11 for half of a $12 portion feels wild. Overall, disappointing. Shared the crab cake Benedict with my dining companion and it was really great. The crab cake was the same size as the English muffin half it sat on and the hollandaise sauce over the poached egg made it a delicious combination. We opted to have fruit and it was varied and complemented the crab Benedict perfectly. The other dining companions had the corned beef hash and eggs with hash browns and sour dough toast and they were happy with their order except they had to flag down the wait person to request their toast and didn't manage that until they were just about done eating their meal. The four of us shared the bread pudding with brandy sauce. We ordered the one with the walnuts and while it was delicious, there weren't very many nuts. It was certainly enough for more than four people; we couldn't finish it. Unfortunately, this was a very sad event. I went with my two grown grandchildren. The service was terrible. The breakfast came out three different times by the time one was done eating another one got a meal and when the eggs were scrambled instead of over medium, I just didn't eat them because I know if I sent them back I would be sitting at the table by myself. They never apologized or anything, and in between nobody ever came to check on us we had to find another waitress to take care of the mistakes on our order order to check on our order. Don't think I'm gonna come back and give him another chance. I went by myself and a girlfriend the time before and we waited out for 30 minutes for somebody to even ask us if we wanted coffee I guess they figured we didn't care because we were having such a nice visit. When it was awful Annie's, it was wonderful. I don't like the new awful Annie's either. But then, you will pay close to double. If you are having breakfast here, their latte is good too. Chicken and Waffles - 3 stars The chicken was ok, overly crispy with too much crumbs and not enough chicken in my opinion and it just tasted really dry. Although, the waffle was nice and fluffy. Berries French Toast - 3 stars Seemed like it was quickly made in a hurry. The bread wasn't moist all the way through. Only the outside tasted like French toast, the inside of the bread was a dry piece of bread. Potato Skins Benedict - 5 stars Really delicious. It's like a Benedict and it's like baked potato skins all in one. Really good. Potato skins filled with poached egg, cheese, chives and bacon and covered in hollandaise sauce.
