    I purchased my brand-new Subaru from Subaru of Englewood and returned less than two weeks later for…read morewhat should have been a routine software update (2222). As a new customer with a vehicle that was driven, I expected a straightforward service visit. Instead, it turned into the worst dealership experience I've ever had. The service invoice stated my vehicle had been driven only 2 miles. When the car was returned, however, the odometer showed nearly 20 additional miles. The mileage documented on the repair order did not match the actual mileage on the vehicle. When I questioned the discrepancy, I was told the vehicle had been driven twice to verify the concern and confirm the repair. That explanation quickly fell apart when I reviewed my dashcam footage. The footage captured a single extended drive lasting approximately 30 minutes with two technicians in the vehicle. The audio included comments about "dirtying the f*** out of" my car, describing it as "fast as f***," and laughing about driving behavior in front of a police officer. Nothing about the recording sounded like technicians carefully verifying a software update. It sounded like my brand-new vehicle was being treated as a toy. After reviewing the footage, I was left with the impression that my vehicle had been taken on a joyride. To make matters worse, I immediately noticed the vehicle pulling to the right as soon as I left the dealership. Concerned, I brought it to my regular Subaru dealership the following day. Their inspection confirmed the vehicle required an alignment. For comparison, I asked that dealership what was necessary to perform the exact same software update. They advised that approximately 2 miles of driving would be expected--coincidentally the same number listed on my invoice from Subaru of Englewood. During their testing, they drove my vehicle three separate times, added only 10 miles total, and accurately documented every mile. Unfortunately, this was not an isolated issue. When I purchased the vehicle, I found scratches on the plastic bumper trim, center console, and door jamb, as well as a coffee stain on the passenger seat. It also took nearly a month, multiple phone calls, text messages, and an in-person visit just to obtain a refund of a $500 deposit that should have been returned without issue. What made the situation even more frustrating was management's response. When I raised these concerns, I expected accountability, a genuine investigation, and acknowledgment that what occurred was unacceptable. Instead, the service manager offered what felt like little more than lip service. I was told the right things in the moment, but nothing meaningful ever came of it. After the initial conversations, he effectively ghosted me, leaving my concerns unresolved and my follow-up attempts unanswered. A dealership is entrusted with one of a customer's most expensive possessions. Between the inaccurate mileage documentation, the apparent joyride, the condition in which my vehicle was returned, the lack of accountability, and the weeks it took to recover my deposit, Subaru of Englewood completely failed that responsibility. The most disappointing part is not that these things happened. Mistakes happen. The most disappointing part is that nobody seemed to care that they happened. Even more concerning, after reading other reviews, my experience does not appear to be an isolated incident. There seems to be a long history of similar complaints, which makes it difficult to believe these issues are being taken seriously or addressed in any meaningful way. Subaru of Englewood had multiple opportunities to make this right and failed every one of them. If this is how they treat a brand-new vehicle with fewer than 300 miles on it, I can only imagine how they treat the rest. I cannot recommend Subaru of Englewood for sales, service, or anything in between. If you value your vehicle, your time, and your trust, take it somewhere else. My only positive shout-out goes to Rackeam, who handled my sale. He was responsive, professional, and helpful throughout the process. He was the exception, not the rule.

Sometimes you have to just appreciate what you have because the grass is not always greener on the other side. I bought an absolutely gorgeous car, it drives really amazing, got some body roll, more than I'd like.... I was thinking of switching out to a different vehicle. I test drove 4 other vehicles yesterday.... and like I said, the grass isn't always greener. I have a new appreciation for me car, appreciation on the pretty decent deal I got on it. I realize you wont find anything that drives better with more features for the price. The temporary NJ license plate they me gave has expired and I have been asking the sales agent to give me another plate and they are making excuses. They also mentioned that there is some problem with the Title transfer. Now I can't drive the car fearing that I would get a ticket. No one returns my calls in the office or gives an excuse. I am going to file a complaint with NJ Attorney General's Office and FTC. I don't know what kind of shady business they do here.

    Preface: 2 MONTHS AND 7 DAYS WITHOUT MY PERMANENT LICENSE PLATE!!…read more The worst business I've ever had the misfortune of dealing with. Bought a used car from them over 2 months ago. Explained before I paid for the car that there were issues with the air and my passenger side door would not lock. They said this would be taken care of. After buying the car, they have danced around assisting and saying they will take care of it but never did anything to actually help. They also gave me a backup key that had no functional buttons underneath the faceplates. They refused to make any adjustments to such after the car was purchased. Saying that now it's "as is" and won't fix standard functioning aspects of having a vehicle. I've still yet to receive my permanent license plate. I've had to get 2 temporary plates now because of how incompetent they are from top to bottom. Another person who I work with said they bought their car from here as well and it took them 3 months to get their license plate. There's not a single helpful person in this business. Each and every person who works here is a no good snake and more incompetent than the next. I wouldn't recommend them to my worst enemy.

I was pressured into leaving a $500 refundable deposit "for any reason", only to be met with deception and manipulation throughout the process. They tried to sell me a vehicle listed at $74K for $80K-$90K, loaded with over $6,000 in dealer fees and $4,000 in forced warranties. Despite putting $10K down and having decent credit, I was told I couldn't be approved and pressured to bring in a co-signer. When the deal fell apart, they spent over an hour trying to sell me a different vehicle before finally processing my refund on May 17 -- or so I was told. After not seeing the refund, I called on May 24. The billing rep (an older woman) was rude, dismissive, and clearly taking out her frustrations on me. She promised a call back with answers, which I didn't receive until May 27, when she abruptly told me it had been refunded and that "your bank will return it whenever." No empathy, no courtesy. Here's where it gets worse -- I later saw that my refund was actually canceled. Another dealer I worked with in California processed and returned a $500 deposit without issue. INFINITI of Englewood did not. I strongly believe that after our disagreement, the billing rep deliberately reversed the refund, which now amounts to theft. I've already filed a dispute with my bank and will be reporting this dealership to every agency and platform I can. Buyers beware: this dealership uses high-pressure, shady tactics, is dishonest with their pricing, and completely unprofessional in handling your money. Stay far away.

It's a rather long story, but here's the gist of it: I brought my truck in for service. They said it needed a new battery (which it did not) and said it was not covered under warranty because the issue was caused by an after-market item. It cost $852(!) to fix, but the problem persisted. We later had to have the truck towed to Lester Glenn Chevrolet in Toms River, and they fixed it immediately. Very reputable! The issue was a faulty fuel sensor, diagnostic codes provided, cost covered under warranty. We then reached out to service manager at Quality to let him know of the situation and asked for diagnostic codes, as they were never provided. He promised to email them, but he never did--and I reminded him NUMEROUS times. We later learned that service manager left the company and we spoke a time or two to another person there, who promised to look into the situation. That was a month ago. Now, crickets. I've reached out dozens of times to Quality with no response to any of my calls or emails. HORRIBLE customer service, horrible auto service, completely disreputable. They simply don't care.

But, what they have done upon return of my lease should be a lesson to others using this dealer. I returned my vehicle in April and in July I get a call ( no other communication prior to this date) from chase to inform me that my acct with this dealer was going into collections for unpaid additional mileage on my lease. Fortunately for me, I insisted on documentation upon my return ( yes, I had to insist as I was told I didn't need any documentation) and was able to prove that the car had been returned with less mileage than allotted. But by then, my perfect credit had taken a significant blow. I have confidence chase will remedy this but the time and frustration in general was more than anyone should be expected to withstand. This dealer is deceptive and should be investigated for fraud.
