A Great Experience! My wife and I did our initial shopping in Carlsbad on a Saturday and visited the Audi there among other dealerships. After we decided that we preferred the 2018 A5 S-Line(amazing machine!) over anything else, we went inside to talk business with the Carlsbad Audi representative. The conversation started as you would expect. We then took a turn for the worst when negotiating. The representative used phrases like "We're Audi, we don't have sales." or "I can't do that since Hoehn needs to make money, I need to make money, my manager needs to make money.". For the sake of brevity, we left with the promise that he would call us back when the car that we wanted was located and with the impression that was how Audi does business. The next day, my wife and I found ourselves in Escondido on an errand and saw that Audi was having a sale. We looked at each other in disbelief and decided to walk on the lot. We were immediately greeted warmly by Michael Baker. He informed us about the sale and offered his assistance. Since my wife and I already knew what we wanted, Michael was enabled to really focus on our needs and how to provide us the best deal possible. After looking around for a couple moments just to confirm our decision, my wife and I headed in to talk business. We were pleasantly surprised how well Michael listened to our needs and was able to provide us with options and solutions. They found a car within 10 minutes with the options I wanted minus the S-Line package. I test drove the S-Line model but was unaware that it was an S-Line model. After we decided to request the car, the dealership reached out the dealer to make the trade. During the downtime, Michael and his team did not stop working to find another model. As a result, they found a car I fell in love with at another dealership of theirs. Without their continued search, the initial car would have come as a disappointment because of my ignorance with respect to packages. You can imagine my relief after updating the order and the best part is that since the S-Line was a bit more expensive, they met me half way and discounted that as well. Talk about service. Thank you, Michael. My wife and I concluded our business with Tim in finance. We found him highly informative and best of all funny. He explained the benefits of each package and how they impact our financing. He recommended us packages that best fit our needs for the future and explained it in a way that illustrated how it would provide value instead of spouting out a long list of features. My wife and I concluded the agreements with a sense of confidence that she and I made a great decision. Worst service experience to date. The service rep was unapologetic about an Audi design flaw that, of course, was not covered under Audi care. He then told me that it was my problem to ensure it didn't come back by not parking on inclines, under trees or wherever debris could get under the hood. When I use AC, water pours into the passenger footwell (onto my passengers feet, shoes, bags). I was told, "Yeah, this happens and you just have to get it manually cleaned once in awhile." That's absurd and there is nothing in the manual about preventing this. To top it off, when I picked up the car, they forgot to put the footwell panel back on so I had to go back again. this review is just for the repair department, but seriously don't go. I have a convertible, and the top had stopped working so I brought her in. they charged me $200 for an initial diagnosis, during which they couldn't find the problem. then, they were going to charge me $1,600 to use a crane to rip the convertible top off to figure out what the problem was (mind you, that was just to figure out what the problem was, not to fix it) so obviously I cut my losses there and ran away. I ended up going to a local mechanic who specializes in Audi's - in one hour of work (total = $160, which was less than I paid for the useless diagnoses at Audi) he managed to figure out what the problem was (faulty sensor) and fix it (just needed a reset). he also showed me where to find resources on how to do it myself should it happen again. honestly even if you are super rich and don't care about money, you should care about being ripped off to this extent. read more

Decent transaction. We agreed to a price on the phone, made an appointment, test drove our car and filled out paperwork. Would be a five star transaction, but one thing nags me about the deal. At one point during the buying process I mentioned the car featured an installed roof rack on their internet listing (valued at $200). I asked about it, but didn't get an immediate answer back and overlooked it as we went through the buying process. By the time I noticed on the drive back, it was already too late. Darn. May have been a simple mistake on their part, and I should have been more on my toes, but I wish I would have gotten what was advertised. read more

Hi All, There are few things that make me feel good when working with a car dealership. 1. No BS, games, or trickery. Audi Escondido followed up on my request (which included getting me out of my current lease, and into a new one). We cut right to the chase got into the ball park, and then negotiated from there. Straight forward, and helpful. 2. Knowledgeable staff. Our consultant Preston, knew nearly everything about the brand, the specific car, and all the features. This helped us make the leap to a technologically advanced car, and also helped show my wife what all these great benefits could actually do on a daily basis!! 3. Timeliness. Sure the financing part always requires a fair amount of time. However, awareness that we all have lives and want to carry on with them (even when buying a new car) makes the overall process less painful. 4. Selection. I had my mind set on a car I saw online, but was blown away by the selection available at the lot. In fact, I found a different car that had all the features I wanted and at a cheaper overall price. My husband and I LOVE our new Audi!!! When we first stopped by we were thinking of just browsing and then moving along to BMW, we were not thinking of purchasing anything that day. I have never been blown away by a dealership but the sales and finance team really out did themselves. John Muruwat was my sales guy. He was amazing from start to finish. So even kill and was never trying to push anything on me. Walked me through a couple of cars and stirred me in the direction that would benefit me most. I walked away with a great deal and a happy owner of an A4. Shawn was my financing guy. I did not have to wait long , and he never tried to over push anything on me which was also awesome. I hate all those "extra sales" during financing time. We spoke about how the culture/atmosphere at Audi is so much different than any other dealerships that I have visited. Shawn said, that is one of the reason why he came back into auto financing. He said he took a long sabbatical because of how most companies culture differ from Audi. All in all, the entire process from - sales to finance to keys in my hand took less than 3 hours. Which is amazing for me. I usually spend 4 hours tops if not more at a dealership. Great Experience! Devon Truchsess was professional, honest, thorough, and efficient. The team down there worked with my budget since I was paying cash and was restrained by that fact. They were responsive and kept me informed about the car. They saved the car that was virtually new with hardly any miles on it. This is after I walked out of two other dealerships that tried to play bait and switch (Scott Robinson and Toyota of Hollywood). They did not hound me to death which I got from other dealerships. Audi Escondido completed all the paperwork quickly and painlessly. Since I traveled four hours by train because they had the most immaculate vehicles at the best price (I shopped around for a few days) and the train ride sounded like an interesting thing to do. In April of 2014 my husband and I found ourselves unhappy with our current leased BMW and after a second failed try with that dealership we decided to call it quits and get a different car. He was far and away the most knowledgeable of his cars, able to answer all questions instantly. Much differently than some of the other dealerships where "not sure, I've only been here 3 months" was often quoted. We went back to Devon 3 times and he was very patient with us. First of all, it is unreal how sneaky, dishonest and aggressive salesman can be in any industry, whether it be in insurance, automobiles or homes. That is the exact opposite feeling I got when dealing with Amy Everett at Audi Escondido. Surely she showed me the car, its bells and whistles, and tried to persuade me to consider certain models that I was already looking for, but there was no impatience or lack of respect in the entire process of leasing my brand new 2014 S5. I had already been to 3 to 5 dealerships and had dealt with Audi San Diego (the big one) where I was not treated with as much attention while with Escondido, Amy gladly went through all of the models they had on the lot. Even as a sales associate, Amy knew her financing and managed to work a deal with me that I could not even negotiate. My girlfriend and I wanted to negotiate the sticker price from 61,4 to 59. She went even lower than 59 and gave us a ridiculous deal, with a residual of 55! Audi San Diego's highest residual was only 51 ! These are numbers you need to know while leasing a car and I was fully prepared to negotiate. In the end, I could not refuse the deal AT ALL and picked up the car the next day! The car I got was fully loaded with B&O, Carbon Fiber trim, and Glacier white (custom paint job). The only package it was missing was Black Optic -- but I believe Glacier white looks amazing with its aluminum\chrome accents.
