We were just a sale--no interest in building customers. Martijn Janssen met us at Audi South and made us feel whole again. He worked with my wife and I to find something comparable and was both patient and understanding. I feel like we drove away with more than a car...we had our dignity and a relationship that will bring us back. I had a service appointment for a recall repair that takes 3-4 hours to complete. I had indicated I would wait at the dealership for the service to complete. They texted me on Friday for a Monday appointment to say they would need to keep the car for 10 days - wow! I called for an explanation and was told their techs are really backed up and the car would "probably" have to sit on their lot for 8-9 days before it would be worked on. Their competency at project scheduling is worse than poor, so I cancelled the appointment. I had a bad experience at Audi North Austin on my last recall service, so decided to try Audi South Austin, now they fail miserably. Paid a $1000 refundable deposit to order a car. 6 months later production still hadn't started, which I don't blame them for due to supply chain issues, it's understandable. I ended up buying a different car. Audi south Austin has not refunded the deposit more than a month after I asked them to and they said they would. The manager did not return my call. Sewell Audi had a nearly perfect car in stock, and was very pleasant to deal with. I'd highly recommend them instead. Have taken my Audi to the S. Austin dealership for every service. Late last year I purchased my 55k service and brake pads. The service rep asked if I wanted to pre-pay my next service and get like a $200 discount (I paid almost $1100 for this next service). I said sure. Come recently, my car was totaled in an accident and I wanted to get a refund for a service that I never used and was denied. It was never told to me as nonrefundable at purchase. Logic tells me if I pay for a service, never use the service, I should be able to get a refund. No harm no foul for either party. According to this Audi Service department, I'm wrong. In November of last year I was considering buying a 2018 Audi Q5 so I test drove one the models here at Audi South Austin. I can't remember the specific representative I worked with but he was not only incredibly down to earth, but was insanely knowledgeable about all of the unique and high tech features of this car. This had been my first time in an Audi dealership but they make you feel right at home by offering you sparkling water or the drink of your choice as soon as you hit the lobby. Around 6 months ago I was major excited to get a car from here. I test drive a ton of things and ended up finding basically the car had been researching. I needed one fairly quick since I had sold my truck right before we moved. I admit I should have known dealers are slimy, but they truly had me fooled. They said everything I wanted to hear and pretended that I got an amazing car at an amazing deal and the only thing that was off was the interest rate because "we had never had this expensive of a car note so the interest would be high anywhere right now". The finance team assured me that this shouldn't deter me because I could EASILY refinance in a "couple months". Flash forward to a couple months, I tried refinancing and everyone denied me because the payoff was too high and to come back in a few months to see. I continue to come back and continue to be denied because they marked my car up so much that it is worth $18k less now and no bank will refinance my loan. Is this partially on me, yes. I should have known better than to believe a place when I said that was my hesitations. But they were very convincing. They said they would be happy to assist. I called back to ask for the assistance and they said oh no we don't do that. You bought it here but it's all on you. Cool. I believe in transparency and not using people who may be in a vulnerable state for your own good, but this is exactly what they did. They knew I needed a car. They knew we just moved and didn't know people really yet. They knew how to do the whole "this is the price everywhere and it's only going to be worth MORE money as they hold their value." BS. ALL BS. They also schedule appointments as simple as a tire change and it takes them literal weeks. I had to call a ton of times because it was supposed to be done in a couple hours and that turned into days. I was given a gas guzzler truck to drive around instead of something comparable too. I won't go back here and make sure to let everyone I know buying a vehicle in Austin to skip it. Unhelpful, and care more about the sell than a long term relationship. read more

Had a MAJOR issue with my vehicle and the service dept. had me come in immediately... unfortunately they did not have any loaner vehicles - as a parent of active children, 1 vehicle was not optimum. They were able to 'create' a loaner vehicle by using a new(er) car off the lot AND it was a comparable vehicle! They kept me in the loop and made sure I knew what was going on with my vehicle at all times. The day I dropped my vehicle off, they UBER'd me to my home... in a not so great situation, they did as much as they could and I appreciate them for turning a stressful situation into a minimal situation. After owning an Audi for a few years, I have two fundamental concerns to share with future prospective buyers. 1. BAD PRODUCT QUALITY We've had more problems with our new Audi Q5 than my first Lexus which I had for 16 years, my second Lexas, a used Honda Fit I bought my daughter, and a used Honda Accord I bought my son - all combined. 2. OFFENSIVE SERVICE One of the early problems we had was a true defect in the car; the dealership ignored the problem and treated my wife as if she didn't understand cars. In the end they admitted she was correct. They'll take your car and keep it a week without looking at it - why not hold off taking it? And, most recently, the returned our car with an 18 inch long crack in the windshield and declined to replace it or give us a discount on a replacement or even a mere apology. South Austin Audi has lost its moral compass. I take my A8 in and spend 5,500+ dollars on the repairs that they say I need. I have a headlamp indicator light on the dash and ask them to see what is wrong, I tell them nothing seems to be out of order, the headlights and high beams seem to be working fine??? They charge me hundreds of dollars to diagnose the problem... which I paid. They take out the Drivers side headlamp assembly to test it... they want 2700 more and change to replace the headlamp... I say no thanks. They return the car, that night as I am driving I notice the High Beams are not functional at all... and they used to work, the cornering lights are not functional and they used to work. I contact them, they apologize, pick up the car and call me the next day. "Sorry but to fix the high beams you will need to spend the 2700 and replace the headlamp..." I say, "NO, it was working before and I want you to return the car with all the functionality that it had when I brought it in"... (this should not need to be said right?) "unfortunately sir when we tested the headlamp it reset the electronics and we cannot fix the high beams now without replacing the headlamp assembly" I tell them they absolutely need to fix this since they broke it, they cannot in good conscious return a car that is in worse shape than when it was brought in... Apparently I am incorrect in my assumption and they are perfectly fine with this very corrupt practice. They did not even mention that by testing the headlamp it might cause other issues of functioning high beams and cornering lights... at least then I would have had the opportunity to make an educated decision on what to do. This is a despicable business with no sense of right and wrong. I will fix it elsewhere and meet them in court. read more

I tried to get my car serviced by Audi. It was a horrible experience all around to say the least. My point of contact was Grace and she did not make clear that I literally have to leave my car at the dealership for two weeks before I could even get a diagnostic done. I came to pick up my car and she couldn't even greet me or stop to help me (there was no other customer with her or at the front but me and my 2 year old son). Another gentleman who had no idea who I was or where my car was tried to ask her for my paperwork and keys and she said was in the middle of something. I was literally waiting for 10 min before I could leave with my car even though my car was parked right in front. In the end she pulled the keys out of her desk and ended up handing them to her co worker to hand to me. Horrible customer service and horrible wait times to get your car simply looked at. I took my A8 in for routine service, plus it had a leak in the windshield wiper fluid system. That leak proved to be very elusive. It was an automatic sprayer for the front camera that didn't give any error messages in the analytics. Bobbie Davis, my Service Coordinator never gave up on sleuthing out the problem. I give him a 5-star rating! The loaner vehicle was fun to drive and when I got my car back it was beautifully cleaned! I bought a 2018 A4 at Audi South in 2019 .... I love the car. Tried to schedule a prepaid service and the Dealership went "radio silent" for weeks. When they finally started answering the phones I was left on hold for service until the line disconnected. When a human finally started answering the phones again (weeks later) the first available service appointment was in May. Really? That = an "illusion" of service. Dealership has proved to unreliable so I'm off to San Antonio for service. I will not be looking at Audi South when looking to trade into a newer vehicle later this spring. I don't like to give bad reviews to any place because I know it hurts business. I am giving one here because it is sadly deserved and it won't hurt their business but at least people will know what they are potentially getting into. I am a car guy. Gear-head. I LOVE cars. If it has wheels, I like it. Audi is my second favorite manufacturer, not for any reason other than that they make amazing cars. They are innovative. They look good without being flashy. They have as good or better performance than their rivals but at, usually, a more reasonable price. My wife and I bought a 2015 Q5 in September 2014. It has been great. We love it. It has been bulletproof until now. We are at 95,000 miles, have done all required service when required. But now I have an issue with the day time running light. I bought the car at Audi North Austin and had the car serviced there until 45k. However, we now live an hour from there. Additionally, we have been super unhappy with the service department there. So for the headlight assembly I reached out to South Austin. I called and asked for an estimate for the repair at 8:18am on Monday, May 6th. After waiting on hold for about 10 minutes, I gave all my data and was told I would get a call back later in the day. At about 5pm, I had heard nothing. So I called them. I was handled quickly but was told they hadn't received the data yet. I then told the lady I just need the price of the materials, to please just call the parts department. She put me on hold for several minutes. When she came back she informed me she wasn't able to reach the parts area so I would just have to wait until the estimate is done. The following morning I hear nothing. I call again. I am told, after being on hold for several minutes again, that they still have not received the data. I ask who they are getting it from and apparently it's some manager. I am told they should have it later in the day but there's nothing they can do but wait. It's now May 19th. I still don't have an estimate. Why is this so difficult. I love my car. But to get this kind of service when I have bought a $50,000 car is beyond me. I have a comparable level car from Lexus as our second car. They service me more than I feel they should. But I prefer that over the Audi experience. Sadly, as long as I have to use the Audi dealerships in Austin, I will never buy another Audi. It's that bad. read more

My first visit , the employee at the parts counter told me his last experience with Carvana ended up not being covered through warranty so he ordered the parts for no reason. after calling carvana they said all he had to do was call silver rock warranty and give them my VIN to confirm the case is open and paid for. So I drove another hour through traffic to give them the same piece of paper I tried to give them the first time, but that the one employee refused to make one phone call with. My appointment was then set for Friday (today) at 8 am. I texted YESTERDAY to confirm that I am still good for that 8 am appointment so that I don't waste another hour drive through traffic. They CONFIRMED THROUGH TEXT that my part would arrive YESTERDAY afternoon. So to come this morning only to be told that it's not here..... why did no one take one minute to text me that it had not arrived yet.
