Great Experience! Audio Evolution did a MAGNIFICENT JOB on our vehicles! Stopped here to check out their black Friday Sales and were impressed with the services offered and the very low prices. John Willis attended to us and he was polite and very informative. We could not get my husband's pick up truck windows tinted on black Friday but the price was so amazing that we added my 350 Z for tints. Of course I had to return to bring each car back one at a time. I thought my husband was being impulsive but he recommended we tint our car windows so that we could protect our leather interiors,keep our cars cooler in the summer time, and for protect our skin from dangerous UV rays. He made valid points to I gave in. I took my husband's pick up the following Thursday at 4pm and by 4:40pm, I was on my way. The service was quick, professional, and added value to our pick-up. The enhancement makes our pick-up look Great! Today, I dropped off my 350Z and within 3.5 hours, my car was ready. I almost didn't recognize the son of a gun! I thought I was looking at a Porsche 911 when it was all done!!! The car looks sleek, sexy, and super fast. We are super pleased with the high quality of work done and their efficiency. I highly recommend this company for window tints. We are not done yet, I'm sure we will return for audio equipment and other vehicle electronics. Happy, Happy!! read more

They were recommended by Hudson Nissan. So I called to ask for a price on tint for my new kicks. This obnoxious jerk couldn't have been more rude if he tried. I sure hope he's not the owner. I purchased a vehicle from Hudson Nissan in North Charleston recently. There was a wiring issue with the stereo and a faulty switch in the drivers door from what I was told. While at Audio Evolution my truck was broken into, and where I wasn't pleased about it I understand things happen. What I can't accept is they didn't even clean out the broken glass. I had glass pieces all over the inside of the truck. Secondly in "fixing" the wiring issue and the switch in the door they also cut off my backup camera and when I put the truck in reverse my stereo shuts off. So now I either get this fuzzy screen or a yellow exclamation point on the screen. I had planned on getting some other work done there but not after this. read more

I've bout an amp from them it blew 6 months later, they swapped it and the new one blew 3 months later, they didn't want to refund me but wanted me to buy a brand new one for $600. I would agree with many other reviews. Called twice and got multiple different answers. Seems like if a business claims to be the expert, they should know what to do the first time. Quoted a priced and time, after coming by twice. Audio Evolution in North Charleston ended up taking apart my system, then telling me it did not work. I tested it before taking it there. To be totally nasty, Audio Evolution left it totally disassembled when returning my vehicle. Additionally, the Regional Manager downtown advised Best Buy does not know how to install a system. Would not recommend. Dustin is great and very helpful but the installation of a new audio system in my Acura was a terrible experience. Brought the car in and worked with Dustin on quote. We agreed to install amp under seat, sub in trunk leaving ample space and return of my factory speakers so I could reinstall if I ever sold. What I received was amp and sub in trunk, no room to put anything back there. Speaker wires were installed backwards. Left playing out of right and amp not set properly to play from rear. Also did not get any of the equipment back with no explanation of why. Received the boxes only of the new equipment and no manual. Had to bring back two times. Ultimately they replaced the amp and all speakers on their expense bit there is still an annoying hiss at low volume which was supposed to be fixed on visits two and three. This was a terrible experience for a first time car audio upgrade customer. The extra star is for working with Dustin and his professionalism. read more

We ended up having to take my car to their original location in west Ashley bc of a staff family emergency but my appointment was kept and at the same time, everyone I interacted with was super knowledgeable and very nice. Pricing was the best is found for window tint. I would definitely recommend both locations and will use them again. read more

Worst customer service I have ever experienced!!! Do not go here!!! I brought in my 2015 Honda fit for a amp and sub install. I had a JL audio amp and a 12w6 sub.($800 sub). Had an appointment at 2 pm. Dropped the car off at 10am. Went to pick it up at 4pm. Still not ready. Waited two more hours. When i finally get in the car to leave i turn on some music to test it out (typically an associate will be in the car to ensure you are satisfied.) I get in the car and the sub is not working. I tell them about it. They take a look and after another 30 min they come and tell me the sub is blown. Mind you they charged me for a bench test. I was upset, but the owner was there and quick to get me another (at this point i obviously assumed no charge.) The sub he tried to give me was a $250 sub. I told him that i would prefer the same $800 sub. Which the owner was quick to take action to look for a replacement. (I still assumed no charge). I left with reassurances that this would i be rectified. After two days of no action i decide to give the $250 sub a try since it had great reviews and im a pretty easy going guy. No hard feelings for blowing my $800 sub. ( I still think there is no charge). I show up and they get me a new ported box to go with the sub. I started typing a great review. Thinking ehh it is a third of the price but at least hes owning up to it. After the install they meet me outside to verify that i am satisfied as expected. The sub sounded great and i all was forgiven. I go in the assumed to just get a recipt. The guy at the counter says "That will be $405." I looked at the owner and asked if he expected me to pay? He laughed and said "Well yeah". Needless to say i was very disappointed and had them remove the sub. The owner gave all kinds of excuses and refused to own up to his company's mistakes. Please do not give them your business. On a side note. I also asked them to run the HDMI to the center console and they ran it to the glove box. Not as big of a deal read more

Definitely impressed with this place. They took my truck to install a stereo/backup camera on the spot, same day, and then the owner offered to drive me back to work instead of me trying to find a ride. Picked up the truck and everything looked and worked great, and they even took the extra time to walk me through all the features (literally every single one) of my new equipment, even though the store had closed already. Military discount as well. Will go back for anything else I need, and recommend to anyone. read more

Don't waste your time with this business! Absolute worst service and zero professionalism. You'll have more issues than you started with if you take your car there to have something fixed! No one was wearing masks, I was not greeted and made to stand outside well past my appointment time waiting for the tech to finish hanging out in the parking lot. I dropped my car off to have a wiring issue looked at for my reverse camera that wasn't working. I had chased the problem a little myself before going there mind you, and already knew the camera wasn't working for some reason. They performed a diagnostic while I ran to get some fast food down the street. I returned in about 45 minutes and the tech was already working on another project and my car was still sitting in the bay with the paneling removed. They told me someone tried to call me but they took my phone number down wrong so that was frustrating. The employee told me the camera wasn't working and that I needed a new camera which they didn't have time to install that day. I paid $89 for the diagnostic, at a full hours charge for labor, which didn't even take that long only to find out what I already knew?... I went to get in my car. The paneling was half ass put back together and still unattached in certain spots, which I had to fix myself. After driving out of the parking lot and getting on interstate 26, all sorts of electrical issues started happening and error codes on my dash. I barely got the car home and the idle started to mess up and power loss, only to find out after popping the hood at home, that they have left the cover off fuse box. I called and they said they had failed to put the cover back on and that they had it still at the shop. There's no telling what fuses they pulled, but I know they told me they replaced backup light fuse, but it was obvious that they did not, it was still the same old dusty fuse. I had to get a ride back 45 minutes from downtown to audio evolution the following day. They made me wait forever before coming out of the back to give me my fuse cover they had negligently left off, with no apology or anything. I kindly asked for a refund on the diagnostic, because they had obviously made the car situation much worse than before and screwed up my electrical system, and they refused. The car proceeded to not function electronically and I had to take it to a Chevrolet dealership to get it fixed. What a waste of time and money. read more

After sending an email to the owner through the company website, he was very quick to respond and apologize, even offering to have me come to one of the other locations and personally take care of me with a REAL significant discount. He (Jay) was very pleasant and accommodating, and went out of his way to see that the installation of my speaker upgrades went smoothly and quickly. While I would not necessarily recommend the N. Bought a brand new Alpine SWS-12D4 12" Dual-Voice-Coil speaker and a Alpine MRV500 amp to go with it, took it to these guys to get it installed at the North Charleston location and in 4 days my speaker was burnt out! I never changed any settings nor did I turn up anything on the amp, so obviously they did something wrong! And won't fix the problem don't do business at this place. I will be taking them to court for my money back and the cost of my speaker! Go to Nortons! You've been warned! read more

I took my Civic here to get window tint installed. They did a few of our cars in the past and did decent jobs so I figured this time would be the same. I was very wrong.I dropped my car off first thing in the morning. I heard them say behind the counter to each other that their normal tint guy wasn't there and they would have to call their guy from the other store. I didn't think anything of it. They finally called me right before close and said my car was ready. I picked it up and brought it home. The next day it rained and I could see everything after all the pollen washed off. They cut the tint on my paint and scratched it all over both quarter panels and across my trunk. The tint had dust particles all underneath it. I called and they said to bring it back so they could look at it. So i did and they claimed that they don't cut on car and I must have hit a bush ( I guess they think I'm an idiot and drive my car horizontally which is impossible to get the one on my trunk) So they wouldn't do anything about the scratches and then their tint guy wasn't there again so they picked up my car from work and only fixed two of the windows. I was highly upset and when i called again they said bring it back again. I work a full time job and its not practical to go back 5 times for the same thing. I will never ever do business with them again and highly recommend no one else does either. read more
