We first spoke by phone and luckily was able to get on his schedule within the week. He had to go under the house and fit through a very small space to run the wire. What I also appreciated is the suggestions. 1. Told me he could use less wires if I exchanged out my cable box. So I could easily name so many situations where Mike and his expertise comes in handy and the yelpers have done so quite well. So I will just cut to the chase... Five months ago I went from a very active ICU nurse in my 30's to a person who had a hospital bed in her living room and could not without great difficulty and a wheelchair turn off her kitchen light once I made it to the living room. Mike came in and set it up so if I forgot to turn off the kitchen light once I wheeled to the living room I could turn the light off using my phone. Later, once I progressed to getting upstairs he had set it up so I could turn the bedroom light on right before I crawled upstairs and see where I was going and turn it off when safely in bed. "Safely" being the key word. Again, I can name so many uses for this technology: turning on a light before I come home, having a light turn on while on schedule while I am away, or just being able to turn a light on for my puppy dog so he doesn't sit in the dark and believe me I can't wait to use all of when I am mobile again and can go back to work/life however Mike, and his helpfulness and suggestions, have made my recovery safer and I look forward to making regular life easier. Mike and the crew at Audio Visual Innovations did an excellent job installing a large flat panel television and left, center, and right front in-wall speakers. All wiring was routed to a media niche on an adjacent wall--all wiring hidden inside the walls, of course. This installation required routing wiring around several corners with very limited access. Watching Mike and his crew verified this was no easy install and certainly not for the do-it-yourself weekend warrior like myself. A limited number of cutouts were necessary but they were patched up afterwards. Mike's attention to detail is tremendous; and even he admitted he has OCD when it comes to the minute details. Based on Yelp reviews, we called Mike to install five wall mounted televisions (two were pre-wired and just changing mounts and TVs). We told him in advance the mounts we needed and he had them all on his truck. They are great mounts and very sturdy. He works quickly and knows what he is doing. Very personable and makes sure you like the placement before he starts. Also, he will stay as long as it takes to get the job done. I am very pleased with his service and would use him again. The only thing I feel the need to post is he does not hard wire electrical. He will cut drywall behind the TV, install a large hole faceplate, run an extension cord to another drywall cut directly below, add another large hole faceplate, and then you plug into an outlet. I don't normally write reviews, but this one was worth sharing. I had a few other professionals come out to give quotes before Mike. I was looking for speaker runs to a receiver, HDMI to TV, Ethernet runs for two bedrooms that didn't have existing CAT5e ports and I had some difficult areas and a nice built in to work with and around. The two other quotes I received were talking about some crazy stuff. Expensive HDMI extenders, Ethernet runs to the exterior, removing the nice built in we had, running Ethernet under carpet. Mike came out, on a Sunday no less because I was working around my contractors schedule, and got everything wired same day. Not only that but he saved me hundreds of dollars by not having to run new Ethernet lines to the bedrooms. Instead, he was able to convert the existing phone lines which were already in the rooms and were CAT5e. He was the only one to recommend that! When it all was finished he even put all the drywall blocks back in the holes. I've never seen anyone else do that. Mike is truly a master at his craft. I can't thank him enough!
