After meeting Steve, there was an authenticity about him that none of the other contractors possessed. Every question that we asked him, he was up front, honest and listened intently to our wants and needs. After receiving many quotes, unfortunately then, we knew we had to save up before we could afford to have our kitchen done. Fast forward to the end of 2019 and we were ready to take the plunge! We knew that Steve was our guy. We gave him a call, he came back out several times to take measurements, design, etc. We had a start date of March 2020. Surprise... COVID! Everything was in limbo and we decided it was best to wait. Finally come August 3rd, 2020 Steve and his helper started demo work. Our final completion date was mid October. During construction time, I had two other friends getting their kitchens done as well. The horror stories they told me of their contractors being late, not being honest, charging more than what the contract stated, etc. had my husband and I feel like we hit the jackpot finding Steve. Many contractors now a days sub everything out and don't lift a finger. Not this guy! He is there every day, doing the work, and is passionate about his craft. He is meticulous and will not cut corners, leaving you a project that you are proud of. Steve is arguably the hardest working human my husband and I have ever met. When you hire Steve, you don't just get a contractor, you get a friend...that turns into family. My husband, my two children and I fell in love with Steve. He brought us joy daily during the two months he was with us and has become part of our extended family. We miss seeing him frequently, but now get to enjoy the work he did on our home daily. All of our friends and family that have walked into our home think we hired a high end contractor and designer for our project. We hired an expert handyman - the name says it all. Candles, towels, fake expensive greenery and flowers, vases, plates, serving platters, artwork, napkins. If you want to look like you live in Haddonfield, they've got you down. It smells wonderful when you walk in. The name is misleading as I didn't really see anything remotely restored or antique in here.

After 8 days and no call from them, I called on a Friday and was told that they had been there for 2 days and could be picked up. I asked why I wasn't contacted and was told "we don't do that". Horrible customer service. I checked the website for their hours of operation and saw that they were open on Saturday. I went on Saturday and the parts counter was closed but the showroom was open. I entered the showroom and asked the sales person if I could pick up my items. He told me no, the items had to be picked up at the counter. When I asked why there is no info on the websi about the parts counter being closed, he told me that they were trying to update the website for months but still hadn't done so.

Buyer Beware: Colossus is a nightmare.  Our countertop was installed with a crack in the 4"  border…read morewhich the owner acknowledged and decided the best option was to glue and putty prior to installation.  After a week we noticed several  issues with the countertop itself. Rings of various sizes there prior to install and weren't noticeable unless you looked at a low angle in the light, marks that began to appear everywhere and the counter itself is beginning to degrade.  The owner of Colossus sent his crew in to try and remove the rings without success. In an effort to fix the crack in the 4" border they were going to  grind out the black crack and fill it with white.  This was not the resolution I wanted. Joe (the owner) suggested a product we could buy that might remove the rings leading us to believe that this was our problem to fix four months after installation. Clearly the counter top was/is not properly sealed. There is still no effort  from the owner to fix or resolve the issues and we are going on 5 months.
