Well fate had it that I fell in love with the owner of a Wooly Husky. I had to stop grooming myself due to severe asthma that sent me to the er multiple times. It was difficult because I absolutely loved grooming. Hard work but rewarding. Still I took my dog to a self serve dog wash but the dryers can barely blow out a candle let alone a hairy husky. I had a friend of mine groom her in the fall and between October and yesterday her coat got out of control. So tail tucked between my legs I brought her into Blooming Tails. These girls are real and I could tell that helping my dog feel more comfortable was important to them. She's a fire cracker for brushing her back side yet they carried on. When I picked her up she looked like a new dog and I felt so much better knowing she can be more comfortable in this summer heat. They just wanna get it over with. They took 4 hours with my dog, from 9am to 1:30pm to just return her to me completely shaved down. While this business owner could not spare 30 seconds to send me a short response instead of ignoring all of my calls and messages for the past 3 weeks, they found the time to respond to my Google review with an unprofessional and condescending message within 1 hour of me posting it! The fact Ruthie responded to my review within the hour I posted it, but she couldn't send me a simple text message (or return any of my calls) for THREE WEEKS blows my mind. As a small business owner/operator of numerous service based businesses (including ones in the pet industry post COVID), I fully understand how busy it gets as a solo operator. However, there are things you can do to provide a better experience for your potential clients instead of ignoring dozens of their calls and messages for nearly a month (and then immediately leaving a sassy reply to their review). I see that Ruthie has a habit of posting rude replies to her clients who leave a critical review saying she doesn't care what they have to say. If she is not worried about her reviews online or the lack of customer service she is providing to her potential future customers, then perhaps she should stay off of social media and update her voice message to say she is not accepting new clients - problem solved.

However, after going home she would not stop scooting or licking between her back legs, (which she never does). I took a look and she had been clipped with the clippers under her tail and between her back legs pretty badly. It was so red and she had been trying to soothe with licking which didn't help. I had to get a cone from petco (to stop the licking) and a prescription for the cuts. I've called multiple times and left a voicemail but haven't heard back. My pup is slowing getting back to herself, she's healing with the prescription, but I'll never return.

The waiting area was a little dirty, but whatever, there are dogs in and out all day. The second time we showed up for our appointment and they were closed. There was a sign on the door that said there was some issue with their water. Okay, things happen and you can't wash a dog without water. But I didn't receive any notice about this. They send me confirmation emails and text for an appointment but couldn't shoot me another text telling me they didn't have water? So I drove across town with two barking dogs for nothing. The third time was today. I was running late getting my dogs in the car. They're Yorkies, so it's not a physical issue, they just didn't want to cooperate. I arrived about 12 minutes late for a 12:00pm appointment. Gave the name of our dogs and apologized for being late. She told me it was too late because they don't take late appointments after fifteen minutes. She said it was. I said it is NOW because we've been talking for 3 minutes but she wasn't having it. Told me she couldn't manage to wash and groom my two small dogs in an hour and 45 minutes...so I just walked out. He didn't want to make $100 because of 3 minutes. I guess 1/3 isn't too bad, but I don't have time to deal with that level of nonsense. If you do, good luck to you using these people.

But, according to the mgr. named Kim she stated to me, "Please understand that we are currently in the process of moving out of our facility and are significantly understaffed. As a volunteer-run organization, we are doing our best". Which to me isn't good enough, and at what cost? Bringing in dogs from Kentucky and then selling them for $600.00-$700.00 dollars isn't helping dogs find a nice home. Stop bringing in trucks of animals in until you clean up for rescue. They have had several complaints, just look them up. Even their fosters aren't being taken care of or RESPECTED! Until they can clean up their act, there are other great animal rescues out there.
