Excellent customer service by Maggie! Delicious yummy beautiful cookies! Great choice if looking for gluten free as well

    Addictive!!! Absolutely the BEST!

This place is dangerously close to my favorite coffee house (Street Brew.) which is actually perfect, because coffee and cookies goes perfectly together! Aunt Abby's confections is an amazing bakery, that has a small store front counter, but also bakes for wholesale. AJ's sells their amazing cookies! So if you're in the area, please stop in for delicious cookies and French Macarons! Cookies are Crispy on the outside, with a soft chewy center. The minute you walk in, you will instantly smile! The Smell Instantly makes me think of the holidays and my moms kitchen! Especially when they're baking their ginger cookies.. my favorite! They sell regular and gluten free/vegan! I buy the gluten free and it's the best cookie I've ever had! I also had the snicker doodle which is a close second! I feel so fortunate to have walked in this bakery! The workers and bakers are so friendly, and so accommodating! They even shared their baking schedule with me, so I can always get my freshly baked ginger cookies! This is a MUST Recommendation, especially if you're gluten free! They're the BEST!

1,000 stars!!! Excellent cookies, macaroons and cannolis!!! I especially love the oatmeal--melts in your mouth, flavors on point. **They were closed and saw us at the door and opened just for us, treated us to some taste testing and hooked us up!!** HOW KIND! Service is 1000 stars--Maggie is like that Mom everyone loves; she just wants to feed you and see you happy--we couldn't be happier with a first visit. I couldn't wait to try the oatmeal cookie, hence the photo of most of it missing haha We'll definitely become regulars. Highly, highly recommend. Do ****yooo--this is an edit-- THAT OATMEAL COOKIE is prob the best tasting cookie I've ever had in my entire life. They need to call it "OMG COOKIE" bc that's all you can say after****

Most delicious French Macarons I've ever tried.

THE VERY BEST MACARONS I HAVE EVER TASTED. They were MIND BLOWING CRAZY GOOD! Slap your Momma. Go to Church CRAZY GOOD! Little bite sized wonders of not the ordinary flavors. I LOVED THE Savory Thai Curry Macarons, Tikka Masala macarons, and Rosemary and Cheve Macarons. I was told soon Whole Foods will carry them and I was told AJ's carries them. I have never tasted a French Macaron that was so transforming as these from Aunt Abby before! Smoke a cigarette good even if you don't smoke good! Really REALLY good!

Large Sugar Cookies with Photo if actual cruise ship

I wanted to do something to congratulate my step son on his new venture as a cruise director aboard an NCL ship. I randomly found Aunt Abby's while searching for bakeries before a flight back to AZ from the east coast. I asked if they can do anything custom based on our wanting to celebrate this event. They quickly came up with the concept of finding the exact ship and putting it on a dozen sugar cookies. My order was ready the very next day and I was truly blown away by the quality of their work and how they went above and beyond to get this order completed in 24 hours. The owners were SO nice and truly passionate about their business. They were so friendly and took a genuine and sincere interest in me as a customer and a person. The cookies were absolutely delicious and my step son was so surprised by them as well. We will absolutely recommend Aunt Abby's to our friends and make them our go to bakery.

This place is not the best option for those who are gluten-free. We dropped by after going a little out of our way when I read that they had GF cookies. Upon walking they were out of all gf cookies. They had two options & then offered to sell a gf cookie from their freezer that was previously bought from coffee plantation. Well, I could have just went there & probably should have. It's disappointing to go out of your way for nothing!

    Hugh C.

What an amazing little place. They have gluten free options and if you call ahead they will set aside your order, because they bake fresh everyday and always sell out. Nice people. Always a pleasure to visit them!

This has to be one of the prettiest macarons ever. Strawberries and champagne.

Stopped by today since I was around the area and picked up some macarons. I've tried 2 other places that "specialize" in macarons and they do not live up to Aunt Abby's. I have not been disappointed with any of the flavors I've had. Today, I ordered Bailey's, some sort of sin chocolate, and a strawberries & champagne macaron. Last time, I believe I ordered 6 different flavors. I don't know the gentleman that helped me but he was really friendly! When I walked in this morning, everyone inside was really busy and it was good to hear that business is going great. I was also told that they are moving a couple doors down to a bigger location. I cannot wait to see the new place! I even tried a gluten-free cookie today and it was ahhhh-mazing! I was recommended the chocolate lava cookie and it did not disappoint. I wanted to save it until I got to work but it definitely did not make it a mile away from the bakery. Can't wait to go back and try some more macaron flavors and cookies! I might sound crazy... But when I finally get married, I'm going to have them cater my dessert table. Yup, this place is that good. I'm actually in bed right now with a strawberries & champagne macaron.

I got the peach cobbler cupcake, which was almost $7, and for that price I was definitely expecting more. The texture was honestly so strange. The outside was dry and crumbly, while the inside had this really dense, gummy/doughy texture. Somehow it was dry and doughy at the same time. There were actual pieces of peach in it, but I could barely taste any peach flavor. Overall, it just didn't have much flavor at all. I'm not sure if it was specifically the flavor I chose or if it's because I'm not really used to vegan baked goods. I can definitely appreciate that they offer options for people who are vegan, have allergies, or have certain dietary restrictions and still want to satisfy their sweet tooth. But for me personally, the taste and quality just didn't justify paying almost $7 for one cupcake. The customer service didn't really help the experience either. Since it was my first time, I asked the girl at the front what their best sellers were and what she recommended. I was genuinely trying to make conversation and get some guidance on what I should try, but she wasn't very helpful or engaging. It honestly felt like I was talking to a wall. Overall, it's a cute spot and I appreciate what they offer for people with dietary restrictions, but between the price, texture, lack of flavor, and customer service, it just wasn't for me.

A Nostalgic, Must-Visit Dessert Destination in Old Town Scottsdale…read more Our party of six visited the Sugar Bowl for dessert following a friend's birthday dinner. Upon our arrival, we were accommodated immediately and seated without any delay. The parlor features a wonderful, nostalgic aesthetic reminiscent of the late 1900s. Its menu is remarkably expansive, offering an impressive variety of options that goes well beyond what one might typically expect from a traditional dessert establishment. The service we received was patient and polite. While one of our table's orders was initially overlooked, the staff corrected the mistake instantly as soon as we brought it to our server's attention. As the name implies, the menu leans heavily into decadent, sweet treats; those looking for lighter or tart options like yogurt variations will find limited choices, but the indulgent selections are perfect for traditional dessert lovers. The surrounding neighborhood adds significantly to the appeal, offering an excellent Old Town atmosphere filled with art galleries, historic shops, and artifacts. If you are visiting the nearby Scottsdale Museum of Contemporary Art (SMoCA), enjoying dinner in the area, or simply taking an evening walk, I highly recommend stopping by the Sugar Bowl for its unique historical charm and experience.

I used to get the Buster Brownie, which was this big brownie sundae with vanilla ice cream, goeey marshmallow topping, whipped cream, & cherry on top. It was awesome! I loved that way back then. It was as delicious as I remembered.

Absolute professional. Personable, attentive, thoughtful, and somehow managed to make us feel like we were the only table in the restaurant despite how busy things were. Great service is easy when everything runs perfectly, but it's worth acknowledging that what Cru did was much harder.
