We tried two different flavors and I have to say that both of mine were delicious--really hard to pick which one is better! After hearing the backstory of the family that started the business, I would definitely put Cimmino alongside some of the gelato that I tried in Italy. Wow - so smooth and creamy and rich - the chocolate in the peanut butter was deep and full, and the cherry was super-bright. So much flavor scooped into in such a little cup! It was besties bday so you know we had to get a sweet treat. After a great intense massage at authentic Thai we popped across the street in old town scottsdale to this gem for some ice cream. It was in a very convenient location. They have a wide variety of flavors to choose from. I am usually not a fan of coconut but their coconut gelato was creamy and the right sweetness with the coconut flavor. I paired it with the almond orange, another shocker on how well these flavors went together. I will definitely visit again. I am not sure if flavors change, I can only imagine it being good but if it doesn't, what is there currently is well worth the stop. read more

I was in Scottsdale in the fall of 2018 with some friends and we stumbled upon this gelato place. It was their grand opening as I recall. It had the creamiest, richest gelato I've ever had. Came back to Scottsdale with my husband in January 2026 and was hoping they would still be open. I was pleasantly surprised to find it and find that the gelato is still the best I've ever had! Just moved into the neighborhood on Monday April 13th and my gf and I love supporting small businesses and was excited to have a Gelato spot 2 blocks from the house. We walked up 10 min prior to closing and a girl was bringing chairs in. I politely said hi, and asked if they were still open. Clearly bothered she told me they close in 10 min. But didn't say come in no problem or anything. We reluctantly walked in and she went out and grabbed another chair and slammed it down right in front of us and walked around the counter with the rudest look on her face. Now, owning a small business I hate being the people that show up last minute hence me politely asking if it was too late. Had she said sorry I'm closing there would have been no problem but to treat us like that we had no choice to walk out. Very disappointing and now have to leave a bad review which was purely based on customer experience and have no idea how the product is. One of the best dessert spots in Scottsdale. My local friend took me here, and she noted that it's the best gelato shop she's had in Scottsdale, but it's still lowkey and underrated. We stopped by for some dessert around 4pm on a Sunday before I had to head off to the airport, and it was such a treat. The cimmino road was my friend and the employee's favorite flavor. It tasted like Ferraro Rocher in a creamy, smooth decadence. You have the option of a cup or waffle cone (additional cost) and could also do half flavors. I opted for half pistachio (which is on the saltier side of the pistachio gelatos I've tried, but still good) and the cimmino road. A food tour guide came in and warned that a group of 15 people were about to come in, so this does appear to be a foodie spot. Credit cards are accepted. There are outdoor tables available. You'll receive your gelato first and then will pay. Overall, highly recommended spot for when you're craving something sweet and local. read more
