Where do I even start with this place? My son and I were really hungry and craving something different, so I turned to Yelp to find a great sandwich spot. I almost went to a place in Kent but wasn't completely sold, so I searched again--and that's when I found Aunt Becky's. What a gem! We originally planned to get our lunches to go, but once we arrived, we decided to stay and eat inside. The women behind the counter were absolutely lovely--so patient and helpful as they answered all our questions. The menu is clearly displayed behind the counter, and there's a fun assortment of snacks and drinks up front. I ordered a toasted BLT, which was delicious (though I can't remember exactly what my son got). While my sandwich in and of itself might not look absolutely delicious - remember that looks can be deceiving and this sandwich was life-changing on the day we went! The vibe inside is laid-back and cozy. The decor is a little older, but it just adds to the homey feel. It's clearly a spot loved by families, local businesses, and workers from nearby construction sites--people were coming in and out the whole time for takeout. This is a fantastic family owned lunch spot that I frequent when I'm in the office. Their sandwiches and soups are delicious! They have daily specials and my fave is bulgogi Thursdays! Tender well-marinated Korean bulgogi, rice, salad with delicious miso dressing and yummy gyoza for under $20. Lots of food and soooo good! Staff is very friendly and welcoming. I'm a truck driver so wherever I am land in 5 hours is wherever I have to take lunch due to DOT regulations, anyway I was determined to make it to Aunt Becky's because everyone kept on telling me how good her roast beef sandwiches are omg i agree. I felt right at home Becky's daughter took my order told me that they used to be downtown but then moved to a business park in SeaTac close to the airplane runway. I asked why the name and Becky has a lot of family and while I was there Aunt Becky's niece was visiting with her in the back I know because I called out for auntie lol The bread was soft and toasted and the roast beef tasted amazing thinly sliced and not overcooked and very light I thought I was only going to eat half but folks i ate that whole sandwich I didn't have room for my soup, its a combo. The decor is not up to date but it is clean old fashioned and comfortable makes you feel like you're at someone's house eating lunch and hanging out. Plenty of parking you can sit down and eat lunch or you can grab your lunch to go I chose to sit and I was glad I did I enjoyed my lunch and enjoyed my visit. I do like that they sell calendars that support retired K9 dogs and there is a map in the hallway put a pin on your city or state you're from!! We had a hankering for breakfast burritos, and this came up. We're new to Des Moines, so not sure if this is in a well traveled area, but I think the workday crowd frequents it quite a bit. The burritos were on the smaller side, but for the price it seems pretty okay. Hubs said they were mini burritos. He was less a fan. Mine was filling enough, fluffy eggs. Wow! The deli is tucked away in a commercial/industrial area on the backside of SeaTac airport....go find it and enjoy great service and a fantastic sandwich. I had the turkey club and as a previous post stated it is not sliced turkey lunch meat, but juicy chunks of turkey breast. Counter person asked if I wanted cranberry sauce, never had it on a turkey club, but I do like it. Once again to my pleasant surprise, it was not jellied sauce, but real cranberry sauce. The sandwich was big, with wonderful crispy iceberg lettuce, plenty of turkey and just the right amount of mayo, of course toasted to pwfection. I've been going to Aunt Becky's deli, 1-3 times per week for several months. The service is amazing and fast. Aunt Becky remembers both my dad and I and always has a smile. They even have our orders memorized. The food is standard lunch fare, but the meats are quality and they are not small either. You can't go wrong with their regular menu. A few of our favorite specials are the Wednesday spaghetti special and the Friday Spicy teriyaki chicken. The portions are big and I recently found out they do half sized orders!! Dropped by for a quick sandwich before heading back to work. Got a roasted turkey on rye. When I got back to work to eat I took a big bite which was great. Unfortunately as I was chewing on my bite I noticed a fly crawling from the middle of the sandwich. I immediately spit out my food and called to get a refund because I live no where close to sea-tac. I tried the turkey club, and it was packed with flavours and a unique style. There's many options for sides (soups, salads, and chips) but the main course is the best. The inside is way too quirky in interior design, a much older space, however it does have WiFi and an amazing amount of open seating. Always enjoy the friendly service at Aunt Beckys! The food is great and I love the variety, something for everyone. I enjoyed the spicy chicken teriyaki which comes with pot stickers, rice, and salad. The chicken was cooked perfectly and not too spicy, they did provide a side of Siracha in case I wanted it a little hotter. There was a lot of food! I also got a side of wings for my husband and it came with a good amount of celery. The wings were nice and crispy on the outside while being juicy on the inside. I've visited this place like 8 times now. If you want a great turkey sandwich I would recommend it. I can't eat their whole sandwiches..there just too big. I always eat half and save the other half for dinner. The full sandwiches come with a cup of soup as well so it's a lot of food for very little.
