    Breakfast before a flight home...
    M. Lynn G.

Came here early morning waiting to drop off my grandkids at the airport. This was the only place that opened at 7:00 am. We were the first customers of the day. The service and food was good. It's casual ambiance. We read some reviews and most of the negative was on how long the wait was for the food to come. They make the food fresh and have signs all throughout the restaurant that states the "wait maybe longer because everything is made to order." So if you don't have the time, I don't recommend, but if you do and need somewhere to eat before getting on a flight, I recommend

Went on a weekday for brunch and it was pretty empty. Server was attentive and food came out quickly. My favorite thing we got was the churro french toast. Crispy on the outside and soft and fluffy on the inside. Was a little sweet but so yummy. All the other food was really good too! The portions were good on the platter but I will say the breakfast burrito was a little lacking and small, but still delicious. Overall a good breakfast spot to try if you're near south center! I really recommend the churro french toast.

We love this place. It's just a regular resturant, but it is somehow special to us. The staff is always friendly, knowledgeable, and ready with recommendations. The food is delicious, we've only eaten breakfast here and have never been disappointed. Today I had the biscuits and gravy platter, my wife had the Pancake Combo with strawberries. Yum!

Finally was able to fulfill my chicken and waffle craving thanks to Jony's. Let's be clear, there was nothing impressive with this. It was a simple waffle and some chicken tenders on top of it. Nothing amazing about it. I was just glad I was able to finally get what I've been craving for the past few weeks. Honestly, given the wait I had, I was expecting something a bit more to it, but I was content with the food. I was satisfied, but the food was just okay. The maple syrup and butter helped the dish greatly. I mean, it's expected to have that with chicken and waffles and it was good. I guess I just could've just bought some frozen waffles and chicken tenders from the grocery and toasted those up and that would've been the same quality as this. Would've definitely been more affordable to do that instead. But I wanted the diner experience and Jony's provided that for sure. This place was fairly busy, so waiting for the food to come out should be expected. You definitely get the all American diner ambiance here, so if that's what you're looking for, then you got it. Despite the simple chicken waffle I had, I'm sure the other food they offer are better. Should come back some time and see if there's anything that's mind blowing to order.

This was such a cute place. The vibe was mellow and relaxed, the service was fast, and the food was DELICIOUS! I got the breakfast burrito that had chorizo, I'm very picky about how my chorizo is cooked because it can be very greasy, that wasn't the case here. It was so good and the tortilla tasted homemade, I forgot to ask if it actually was. I also ordered a side of pancakes which were also really good.

Saw the yelp reviews so we headed to Jony's.First impression, odd place for a restaurant . Nice and clean looking inside. Menu is NOT GLUTEN FRIENDLY. Most breakfast places are, so that was unfortunate . Menu was a little price heavy- omelette were $22. Staff was polite and courteous. Food came out- looked good except 2 things 1. food cup was mostly grapes. I hate that. And 2. My husband ordered potatoes and got hash browns. But eggs were cooked 'over easy' , bacon was good. Overall a decent place to go but very pricey especially for breakfast. $$$

Our server was really lovely and attentive. The restaurant is your typical breakfast/brunch place. My food was on the greasier side and a bit overpriced for what I got.

Food was so cold, cheese didn't even melt.

The worst breakfast I have had in a while. During the 45 mins wait, my waitress never came to refill our coffee. Food came out luke warm. My omelette was veggies on top of scrambled eggs. The food was so cold, the cheese didn't even melt in my omelette . No flavor. English muffin has no butter. My husband got the almond French toast, the waitress never asked the order size and ordered him the "half size"

They have a list of combos that are huge portions for at least 2-3 meals? My husband got the fried catfish with choice of 3 sides & I got the 3 wings with 3 sides combo. The catfish was moist on the inside & light & crisp with a cornmeal crust on the outside. 2 big filets in his combo with 3 sides, he chose Mac & cheese, collard greens with turkey neck meat(no pork) & candied yams...all so tasty & huge portions. The special today was chicken etouffee served on a bed of white rice for $13! The gravy was rich & flavorful, the chicken was tender. So tasty...they also have a combo with BBQ ribs that are so tender the meat falls off the bone clean! All combos also come with a square slice of cornbread. Their cornbread is more cake like & sweet style. The owner Kenny is nice & hospitable, attentive always making sure everything is ok. I was too full for Dole Whip today but they had original pineapple flavor & watermelon as well...the 2nd flavor changes periodically but they always have pineapple. Soulfood Sunday is always the last Sunday of the month but they always have wings, catfish, grilled sandwiches & more on the daily & they even have a tables & chairs as well as a high counter seating along the window. Stop by for some hearty tasty eats! The store side of the shop has some really great products...way better than any corner store you've stepped foot in, very nice shop. Unexpected little corner market with good food, great groceries & all the vibes. Check it out the next time you are in downtown Renton.

I ordered the new Hot Italian and even paid an additional $3.99 for "Extra Meat." Looking at the sandwich (see photos), I'd hate to see what the "normal" portion looks like. We've been loyal Firehouse Subs customers for more than a year because their standard portions are more generous than what I received here with a paid upgrade. When I order extra meat at Firehouse, it's actually piled on. Here, it was buried under a mountain of lettuce. For the price, the value just isn't there. Back to Firehouse for us.

I stood there waiting while two employees were right in front of me chatting, and another employee was cleaning the grill. What bothered me most was the lack of basic food-handling hygiene. The employee cleaning the grill had on plastic gloves, took them off using her hands, threw them away, then grabbed a new pair of gloves without washing her hands in between. The restaurant itself felt pretty clean which was definitely a plus and definitely appreciated. To be fair, when the employee did speak, she seemed like a nice person but there was no customer service attached to my experience. I paid, started to leave, and even waited to see if someone would say "have a nice day" or anything...........nothing. I don't like being overly tough on fast food places, but people work extremely hard nowadays to earn money and the bare minimum any business can offer is a simple smile and basic customer service. It's not about big business vs. small business it's about kindness and showing appreciation that each customer feels valued and appreciated. Twenty bucks for a sandwich, bag of chips and poor service. Definitely an easy 2 Stars for me. 2 Stars

I went here with a bestie on a Saturday afternoon for something quick to eat and came across here. Their parking lot and the overall location is unassuming; you wouldn't expect a place like this to be around what feels like a secluded area. Plus the inside is just the front counter, the menu in big print and some small seating (not for dine-in, though). Bestie and I each got their combo bao, which comes with many ingredients like quail egg, jicama, celery, wooden ears, pork and black pepper. We wanted these heated up, and it took about 10 or so minutes for them to be ready. Bestie did also get a mini bao but asked for it not to be heated so he could eat as a midnight snack. As for the combo bao itself, the whole thing could easily qualify as a meal if you get more than one. Each is about $6 each so they are on the pricier side but it's definitely worth having and it's such a unique addition to the Tukwila area! Walking into this location, the interior is clean, simple, and welcoming. It has that classic sandwich shop feel: bright lighting, an open counter where you can watch your sub being made, and a steady but efficient flow of customers. It's not overly fancy, but it doesn't need to be--the focus here is clearly on the food and the experience. The staff keeps things moving smoothly, and there's a sense of familiarity if you've been coming here as long as I have. I actually made the switch from Subway years ago, and I haven't looked back since. What stands out most about Jersey Mike's is the value. You're getting a noticeably larger portion, especially with a "regular" size, which honestly feels more like what other places would call a large. It's filling, satisfying, and worth every dollar. My two staples are the #13 The Original Italian and the #2 Jersey Shore's Favorite--and you truly can't go wrong with either. The #13 is packed with a variety of meats that all complement each other, while the #2 keeps things simple with provolone and ham, letting the quality of the ingredients really shine. That's what I appreciate most: the simplicity. There's nothing overly complicated here--just fresh bread, good meats, crisp toppings, and a balance that works every single time. Everything tastes fresh, at least in my experience, and you can genuinely taste the difference compared to competitors. The bread has the right texture, the ingredients don't feel processed or stale, and the sandwiches are assembled with care. It's that consistency that keeps me coming back. No matter how many times I've ordered from this location over the years, I've never had an issue with quality. That's rare, especially for a chain. At this point, ordering from this Jersey Mike's has become second nature. I know exactly what I'm going to get, and they deliver on that expectation every time. That level of reliability, combined with solid portions and fresh ingredients, makes it an easy choice. I'll absolutely continue ordering from this location--it's one of those places you can depend on when you want something quick, filling, and consistently good.

My's is best known for their banh mis, but they also serve pho, fresh rolls, and other Vietnamese dishes. I ordered the CHICKEN (#10) BANH MI ($8 and change plus tax and tip). The toasted baguette and pickled carrot and daikon were all fresh and crispy. However, I wished they put more vegetables inside. I also was disappointed by the chicken as it was shredded and not grilled. It tasted like canned chicken and was overall kind of bland. Had I known the chicken wasn't grilled, I would've gone with the grilled pork instead. Additionally, there was too much pate (which reminded me of melted salted butter, but gooier - almost like the texture of brie cheese) slathered on the sandwich and so I ended up scraping most of it off. Compared to Yeh Yeh's in Lynnwood, this banh mi unfortunately missed the mark for me (although it is convenient). With that said, I'd give them another try and try the grilled pork next instead with light pate. My mother tried the fresh rolls, and thought they were kind of small for the price. The peanut sauce was decent. I took my lunch to go, but the interior atmosphere is cozy. Service was decent too. Overall: 3/5 for food, 4/5 for service, 3.5/5 for atmosphere

I actually had to park behind the building then look at other Yelp reviews to find out that there is parking on gravel near their dumpsters closest to LaShaun Daye Hair. Though I don't know if the parking lot where this building and E Marginal Way meet can also be used...street parking in this area was scarce, contrary to most Yelp reviews I've read. Anyway, I came to an empty but very chill interior with several tables and window seating, along with some semi-quiet VPop playing near the front counter to the right-hand side of the entrance. There's a small flower display along with the cafe logo a little to the back which is perfect to take photo ops with your drink and food like I did. The menu is above the front counter and - as their logo says - they specialize in banh mi and coffee, though they have some matcha and soup options among others. Staff at the front were very quick at making my coffee as I was the only one inside. I got their 16oz egg coffee, which is one of their best sellers according to the asterisk on their menu next to the name of the drink. Very strong phin-dripped Vietnamese coffee along with condensed milk and an egg foam that gave a sweet, creamy taste to the already bitter coffee at the bottom. Drinking the egg foam first, it's a nice, thick custard-like format that the coffee does not overtake, which is good since other places I've had don't have that kind of balance. My next trip back here will have to be for another one of their coffee drinks and their banh mi sandwiches as well. I can already hear my friend telling me to get one right now as I'm writing this up!

It's maybe about 2-3 min off the Interurban Ave exit. After a couple left turns, it's right on the corner of a 4-way stop. You can't miss it. PARKING: The place isn't very big but there is plenty of street parking available. There's also a small lot by the convenience store nearby. AMBIANCE: It's a very small place with Vietnamese decor and an aquarium. It was giving vibes of the sunroom at my aunt's house Vietnamese music playing in the background haha. There are limited seats if you choose to sit and enjoy your coffee. They have a couple tables on the side, or you can sit on the stools along the window. I think the place felt a little empty. It could use a couple more tables and chairs along the window instead of the stools. This layout kind of felt like a Baskin Robbins or a small local ice cream shop. SERVICE: I didn't see anyone at first when I walked in, but there was someone to ready to take my order by the time I got to the counter. She took my order then I took a seat at the table until she called me to grab me from my order. Not much else for service. FOOD: I mainly went here for the coffee, but I figured I should try the sandwich while I was there. I ordered the bánh mì đặc biệt (house special sandwich) and the cà phê trứng (egg coffee). The sandwich to me was alright at best. The flavors were unbalanced. I mostly tasted the chả over the other cuts and the meat was pretty cold. I get that it's called a "cold cut" for a reason, but it was really cold and kind of threw off the sandwich. The bread would've been better toasted, or at least have the option to toast it. The one thing I enjoyed was the amount of pate used. The coffee on the other hand was decent. I've been in search of more places that serve egg coffee and I usually get it every chance I get. I found it a bit weird that it comes iced. I usually get an option to choose if I want it hot or cold. It didn't specify on the menu and I was never asked. So I just assumed it was not iced because the only thing that was iced was the cà phê sữa đá. Well I was wrong... The egg part was super thick, fluffy, and creamy. It was the right amount of sweetness and saltiness too. Honestly it might be the best egg cream I've had on a coffee, but it would have been much better if the coffee was warm. I just think egg coffee should be served hot. It's a personal preference. The ice keeps the egg cream on top and I can't really mix the whole thing evenly. I would've enjoyed it more if every sip was a even mixture of egg cream and coffee. OVERALL: At the end of the day, I enjoyed this place. There are a couple small improvements that would've changed my experience. I did enjoy the coffee and that's what I originally came for. The sandwich honestly wasn't bad, but I think I would try the thịt nướng next time. Some places just do one or the other better. I think it's harder the get the cold cut sandwich right vs the grilled pork. Overall it's a nice little meet up spot and I would come back again just for the egg coffee.
