I had a very nice experience here! I was in a rush so unfortunately I wasn't able to take my time and enjoy the ambiance and service as much as I would have liked. The ladies working, were so nice and worked well as a team! I'll definitely be back to try some of the menu items that sounded really good!

This restaurant serves good breakfast, and the staff were very friendly and accommodating. I had a good experience.

Always good food, good service, and always clean. Ashley and Veronica are always pleasant. Food comes out hot and fresh. Eggs bastes the way I like, bacon and sausage made well done and crispy the way I like it.

I came in one day to have lunch with a buddy of mine. The service was good. The food was... okay. I had the country fried steak and eggs. It was too salty for my taste. The real issue was that I found out later they'd applied my friend's tip to my card when I'd left a cash tip. I had to call them to get that rectified. I'd give a higher rating if not for the hassle of being overcharged.

Looked for breakfast/brunch and this was near our hotel. We came in around 9am and it started getting busy. We got seated quickly, our servers were really great. Our food came out quickly and loved the photos on the wall. My daughter got a kid to do sheet which is always great for the kids to keep them occupied. Definitely a recommended place If you're not looking for anything crazy fancy and just want some bacon, eggs and hash browns.

Club sandwich and French toast breakfast

This cafe is in the middle of a strip of small stores along the road. It's your typical American diner with lots of options. Prices are reasonable and sizes are good. I got the club sandwich with fries and enjoyed it. The fries are the thin and crispy ones and the club sandwich was fresh and filling. The French toast was also good and not overly buttery, not outstanding though either. The only thing was service was a bit slow in that it was a bit hard to get the attention of the waiters to order and then to pay. However, overall it is definitely a solid American food spot and if I'm craving it and in the area, I would come back.

Very cool cafe with breakfast diner vibes located in a strip mall in north Kent. Wanted to find a lunch spot for a meeting that had sandwiches and this place didn't disappoint. They have a robust breakfast menu too. Today I opted for the Reuben sandwich with a side of potato salad. The sandwich was a good portion of perfectly seasoned pastrami on rye bread. The potato salad was a good balance of creaminess with a generous amount of potato. Good flavor and appreciate it not being too overpowering. I got coffee with my lunch and they had a fantasticly smooth cup of coffee that the server was kind enough to keep refilling as I drank my coffee like a kid drinking cool aid on a warm summer day. Thank you for the home style feel, great service, and wonderful food.

Bonus points - they have tapatío, Cholula and Tabasco hot sauce! Friendly, fast, clean. Small homey restaurant. Portions are good sized and yummy. Came in around 9am on Sat and was told we came in at the end of the first rush. The traffic was constant and lots of pick up orders too. Chorizo and eggs AND biscuits and gravy plates.

A place you will keep coming back to because they just do it right here. I've introduced several people to this place since I started coming over three years ago and they are all regulars now too. It's just a testament that they have good and solid food here. I continue to crave their salads. The ingredients are always fresh. The chicken on my Cobb salad is seasoned well and cooked to perfection for a salad. The bacon is crunchy without being too crisp and dry. The eggs always perfectly cooked. And the lettuce never brown or wilted. The rest of the food is just as good. The burgers are delicious and always taste fresh. When you can get Chilaquiles, definitely get them. The tortillas are covered in salsa but not at all soggy. What impresses me the most is that this cafe has stayed consistent with the great quality and taste of their food over the past years. I know that when I come here, I'm gonna have a good meal. The service is friendly and they always take good care of everyone. It's nice to know that they want to ensure the front of the house is taking care of the customers just like the back of house is turning out good food. Dine in as there are several tables. It's intimate without being crowded. Or take out. Call ahead for easy pick up.

Great biscuits and gravy. Eggs cooked just right. And Caffé D'arte coffee! Service was quick and welcoming.

After reading the reviews for this café, we knew we had to try it as one of our brunch spots. The first time we went we were immediately seated. Place is always busy. Second time we went we sat at the bar type seating, which was fine cause it was just the two of us when it's cold you just end up having to deal with the breeze from the front door, which is acceptable. The first time we went I got the chicken fried steak . The crunch on it was amazing and the gravy was perfect. I love their hashbrowns. They were delicious and I'm very picky. The egg was cooked well I love when my over hard egg is cooked perfectly because a lot of places can burn it not this place. I got the English muffin and I had to pay the extra dollar for the raspberry jam because it's homemade and I'd be insane not to. The next time we went, we definitely got two of the jams. The second time we went I got the Baja omelette. It was filled with so much. The portions are always great when we go here. Husband's food was also fantastic. Hence why we came a second time the first time he got a biscuit and gravy. Second visit he got a scramble. Every time we've gone here both of our plates have been cleaned. We love their food. We love visiting here.

Service was soooo nice here and super attentive--including frequent top offs of coffee without us even having to ask. Easy parking was another bonus. The Huevos Rancheros was divine especially that rojas salsa omg. Also really liked the chilaquiles and thought the carne asada was really tasty with it and by itself. Chefs kiss. Yummy!!

They have real early hours where they open up at seven in the morning. I think I might even go back and try lunch there one of these days soon because their sandwich menu looked pretty decent.

Pulling into the parking lot, I have to admit I wondered if my GPS had developed a sense of humor. The restaurant sits in an older strip mall that doesn't exactly scream "destination dining," but the inside has a cozy, old-school Texas diner feel that was actually pretty charming. Unfortunately, convincing my two kids that this was a better choice than IHOP turned into a losing battle almost immediately. We waited over 40 minutes for our food, which, in kid time, is roughly equivalent to serving a prison sentence. Every five minutes I was reminded that pancakes at IHOP would have already been eaten, digested, and forgotten by then. To be fair, the food was good. I ordered the Philly Scramble, and my wife ordered the California Eggs Benedict. The quality was solid, but the pricing left me scratching my head. The California Eggs Benedict, which came with tomato, avocado, and bacon, was nearly $30. For comparison, I've paid less for Eggs Benedict at places in downtown Seattle. Seeing a $28.99 Eggs Benedict in a strip mall in Kent felt like finding luxury hotel prices at a gas station convenience store. The pricing surprises didn't stop there. There are extra charges for things like splitting orders, automatic gratuity, and add-ons. We had asked for strawberries with the French toast, which may have contributed to the final bill, but it wasn't entirely clear when I reviewed the receipt. Unfortunately, the handwriting on the check was difficult to read, making it hard to understand exactly how everything was itemized. Since I wasn't completely sure what had already been included, I ended up leaving an additional tip just to avoid accidentally shorting someone. By the end, breakfast for our family came out to around $115. Now, credit where it's due: the service itself was friendly, and once the food arrived, everyone enjoyed it. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, and I can see why people like this place. The restaurant has a unique charm and definitely feels different from the typical chain breakfast spot. Overall, Mary's Fine Food serves good food and has a pleasant atmosphere, but the long wait times and pricing felt hard to justify for a family breakfast. Three stars. Not a bad meal, but next time my kids vote for IHOP, they may actually win the family election.

This classic, no-frills spot carries a nostalgic charm, with a casual, welcoming atmosphere that makes it feel like a staple of the community. It's the kind of place where the focus isn't on trends or presentation, but on delivering satisfying, flavorful food that keeps people coming back. The Hamburger perfectly captures that philosophy. It's simple--nothing overly dressed up or complicated--but that's exactly what makes it shine. The patty is cooked well, with a satisfying sear that brings out the natural flavor of the beef, while the bun and toppings complement rather than overwhelm. Every bite feels balanced, familiar, and genuinely delicious, like a reminder of how good a straightforward burger can be when it's done right. The California Burger steps things up with a more layered flavor profile. The meat is cooked just right--juicy, tender, and full of flavor--and paired with fresh toppings that add both texture and brightness. There's a satisfying richness to it, but it never feels too heavy. Each component works together seamlessly, creating a burger that feels indulgent without losing that classic drive-in appeal. Another standout is the Onion Burger, which might be the most memorable of the bunch. The patty is cooked to a juicy perfection, locking in flavor with every bite. What truly elevates it, though, are the caramelized onions. They're soft, slightly sweet, and deeply savory, blending into the burger in a way that feels effortless. The combination of the rich beef and the perfectly cooked onions creates a harmony that's hard to beat. Not everything hits the same high note, however. The Calamari Rings were a bit of a letdown. There was a slightly off-putting seafood smell that took away from the experience, and the breading felt excessive--so much so that it would fall off easily. On top of that, they leaned a bit too greasy, making them heavier than expected and lacking the crisp, clean bite that good calamari should have. Despite that one misstep, The Family Drive-In excels where it matters most. It delivers consistently great burgers that highlight quality, simplicity, and flavor. For anyone craving a classic drive-in experience with satisfying, well-executed burgers, this spot is an easy recommendation and well worth the visit.
