They weren't busy, but Holy hell was service slow. My husband got the brisket. It was tough, on the border of inedible. The schnitzel had a weird after taste. And the German mashed potatoes were... not great. My sauerkraut was the best part of my meal and that's not saying much. For me the biggest disappointment was the Rouladen, which I am highly skilled at making. I can tell they cheated in how they made it. It was not slow cooked as one item. Each item was put together after it was cooked, which is absolutely NOT how you make Rouladen. And they used yellow mustard, which is an abomination. Just NO. Nope. Can't recommend.

Midnight Sun Brewing is one of the Alaskan ones I tried a while back and I felt that the beer I had was very solid and enjoyable. In fact Alaska in general thus far I have enjoyed the breweries there considerably. The beer I had from this brewery was the Panty Peeler which is a Belgian Tripel. A good beer for sure and is a good pairing with fish and chips or a burger. Flavor highlights with this beer are sweet, strong and fruity but all in a well balanced way. The beer goes down smooth and is light bodied. A good beer to start for me with this brewery. I'd loved to try more of their beer options. Love the brewery's swag and have a t-shirt or two and would love to score a hoodie that I had my eye on but it was out of stock so I'll try back later.

They apparently also have beer cheese and jalapeño cheese if you ask. The pretzels are amazing. I will be back just for those.
